So is it shit?
It's shit isn't it.
So is it shit?
>5 days to pay 150 silver or you lose house
>Take a quest to go get some mushroom for 70 silver
>1 hour of gameplay later it's suddenly 5 days past and I lost my house
Wew
People also complain about the mana burning system being too annoying
That sounds broken, they have to fix that.
5 days to collect mushrooms?
It could be my own fault though since I died 2 times. First time I died because trying to get used to the game and fighting 2 bandits. Got captured by them, I escaped and stepped on a trap on a bridge and died again. Maybe defeat scenario advances the time by one day.
isnt it fine having to trade off something to get mana?
I mean it sounds like good system, in stat based rpgs you would choose to put points into mana over health too.
can you remap the buttons on PS4? i'd rather use the shoulder buttons for combat
I enjoy it. Comfy adventuring.
It's overpriced, wouldn't refund though since I am enjoying it.
I am somewhat lost on what to do but also slowly finding my footing, playing alone doesn't seems too bad either. Haven't tried magic, not sure if I even want to.
I just visited the western beach and got a Tribal Favor.
Its fine so far, I understand if you zoomers don't get it though.
>5 days to pay off 150 silver
>decide to take up life as a humble fisherman
>purchase a harpoon to fish with
>stop at 3 fishing available fishing spots in town
>each gives 1 fish and kelp
>1 silver each
>they aren't respawning
ok...
>Take up life as a humble woodcutter
>fill my bag with wood while avoiding the dangers of bandits and beasts
>go back to town
>nobody buys wood
alright..
>Take up my life as a humble weapon artisan
>Use some of my wood to craft a crappy mace, a quarter staff, and plank shield
>Nobody buys them
wtf
>try to find shit to craft that will actually sell
>find some odd, unsustainable, things to craft and make 40~ silver
guess I have to be an adventurer
>Become an adventurer, despite wanting to get my footing in the game before expanding on the adventuring life
>Go to the beach
>Fight lightning crab
>Get shit on because I don't know the combat.
>left with learning the combat and losing house or learning combat and restarting game as options
One dimensional game. All I wanted to do was pay off my debt doing something safe so I wouldn't feel at a disadvantage if I lost the house before I learned the combat.
What's the overall plot ?
I dont think its that overpriced
I also paid 100 euros for forza horizon 3
Does online co-op work
is it worth pirating?
Yes.
Imagine actually buying a game like this on launch day and not just waiting for a sale, patches, and reviews
I'm very interested in it. How's the base PS4 version?
Imagine being so jewish that you wait for other people to review things before trying them out. 40 shekels are worth the wait huh
>just pay them 40 shekels blindly or you're jewish
The problem is that your max mana is reduced when you sleep. To recover it, you need to drink tea or use spells to gradually return to 100% max mana, or not sleeping at all. It kind of screws your character up at the beginning of the game.
≥
Pirated it, it's mediocre at best
Pretty terrible. I refunded it.
>open world rpg with survival elements and janky shit combat
>wowee better pay 60 dollarydoos and start a cult following
Can't believe I was ever interested in this game
Wait, how are people having trouble getting the 150 silver at the start? The cave you're sent to is easy as fuck and you'll easily make enough with the loot combined with the mushroom shield.
Are people wandering off to the bandit camp or some shit?
That would be your fault yes, bandits are much more dangerous than a few renamed goblins.
The combat is clunky as hell, so take a weapon thats is able to trade blows.
For example de great axe have a hard combo of 5 hits, its fucking op.
If you want to maintain the house:
In the tutorial explore the fuck of the area theres lots of stuff around.
When you start in the town go around and take everything you see, there is no stealing in this game. In the Town hall there an great axe at the entrance, and inside it there are a few items.
Sell everything you dont need and buy the 25 silver backpack, when you put the latern on the backpack its hangs out of it, leaving your hands free.
Now go to the town storage (is a door in the port thats it below the lighthouse, in the map it is show like an small bridge).
This is like a mini dungeon, with 2-3 troglodites, to kill then strafe in circles until they attack and you do a combo wombo with the great axe.
You will have 80-90 silvers more or less after selling everything you dont need.
Then you go to the inn, so the inkeeper sends you to helen and you do the troglodites quest:
You go left in the direction of the bandind fort and go left again just before it to see troglodite statues and wood arcs.
In the caves go all to the left you will see an big statue in a big area is not far from the entrace.
Kill the 2 or 3 troglodites you encounter along the way take the musroom and get out.
Dont fight with anyone until you pay your house, just run
Honestly, that sounds just what you would have to expect when you watch the trailer. That guy was talking about having a blast when he was on an adventure. And the only thing he wants you to have is the same, and adventure.
>take everything you see, there is no stealing in this game
Imagine making a "realistic" life sim and letting players steal shit with no consequences.
Reminder to use your kick. It allows you to actually hitstun enemies at the start.
Took me a while to figure out combat, but its enjoyable when you figure out how stamina works.
When you deal damage you affect their stamina/posture/guard or whatever, and once you do more than 50% they will stagger on hit.
Think like souls poise but tied to a visible stat.
>Can't believe I was ever interested in this game
I saw the shill threads the past few days too and it was immediately apparent to me this was paid shilling of garbage. Maybe you'll learn now and won't fall for it next time.
America simulator
This is an adventure sim, not a life sim.
Adventurers steal shit without consequence. Deal with it faggot.
>Adventurers steal shit without consequence
Not in cities they don't. Otherwise what the fuck is the point of adventuring, just steal shit in the city.
Just save the guy on the beach...
>said it was going to be $40
>$40 pre order on Epic
>game releases
>$50 on Epic, $60 on steam
And there I was defending these douches
You are able to take lots of shit in the first town, in the cities there is nothing to take.
I saw an article a while ago that made it seem almost comfy. Roaming around with your big backpack and maybe learning some spells and tricks, you're not the big hero chosen one but you're certainly going to try. The reality is such a let down.
>adventure game
>does mundane boring grindy shit instead
You're a faggot
>adventure game
>they put all this mundane boring shit in for no reason, it's not even viable
Honestly worse
>I saw an article
oh a video game journalist told you, my bad that's completely different to a paid shill
True, they never should have bothered. And the only reason I can think of why they are there is for crafting materials.
Its a peasant simulator, not a "chosen one simulator".
So you are gonna eat shit until you get good.
Yea Forums is honestly full of retards and people who suck at games
most of the people enjoying the game and getting good likely aren't in this thread
however everybody who is braindead and have quit already are all here
I love peasant sims.
It's easier to get some bandages from a hallowed out log before the beach and give one to some faggot who washed up there for a tribal favour to repay your debt. Just avoid the damn giant shrimp
>muh git guds
Haven't died once yet in 10 hours, game is still shit, faggot. take your opportunistically shitty niche indie trash and pack it in your colon
You need to pay your grandmas debts
With all the interest over the years
I had to re start 4 times
> 1 killed by the first Hyena
> 2 killed by the first pair of bandits
> 3 killed by shock trap
> 4 got the mushroom, killed by bandits on my way back.
(only because i really wanted the house)
Now i went to Borgen and came back to Cierzo, never died since. The game its a little tricky until your get any axe a lean to destroy any guy with hard combos.
60 for this game is absolutely fucking nuts.
if it's no big deal then buy it for me, asshole
good thing it's $40 instead
>>$50 on Epic, $60 on steam
Rofl, it's 40€ on Steam, did USA get shafted for once?
>managed to easily take out both the hyenas at the start
Literally just kick and slash. If you miss a kick just fucking wait avoid them until you can use it again, they aren't nearly aggressive enough to punish you.
It's 40 you retard.
>no manual save no reloading shit
why is this even a thing, especially in an open world game
why does a game have to feel like putting horseshoes on an egg, it's not fun, it's tedious and retarded
It's not even that, it's the idea, like dark and light, and citadel, they keep trying to do this fantasy survival shit and I want to see them try and do good but they have neither the money nor talent to do it well and it makes me depressed the industry is just full of trend chasing cock suckers whose fotm knock offs inevitably die instead of trying something different
DUDE
The progress file is in the game folder
Just like make a backup copy of it whenever you're doing something risky and then roll back
No this guy either doesn't live in America or is lying I bought the game 3 hours ago for 40 bucks
That sounds rather boring considering the game is balanced around potential losses.
where's the argument
taking away saving doesn't make a game more challenging, it just turns it into a boring ass risk management simulator
Yeah but then they couldn't complain about random shit.
Honestly game has obvious flaws but it's comfy, has interesting mechanics and areas, and is infinitely fun with a friend. If they fix the bugs and make it to where you can actually sell shit to vendors that you gather it'll be one of the best indie RPGs in a long time
Is that a black woman in that image?
You can sell items to vendors just fine? They just won't buy any random piece of junk you haul over to them, otherwise people would just grind wood indefinitely and break the economy.
How the FUCK do I recover my maximum mana?
Is magic even worth the hassle?
Retarded fucking Frogshitter.
Can you learn Holy Magic and play as a Paladin/Cleric type of guy in this?
There's apparently 9 skill trees and you can only learn 3 of them; first town has the spellblade trainer but I didn't bother getting it yet. The main story also has you choose between 3 factions rather early on and one of them sounded like the holy paladin type.
One of the factions seems to go for that angle morally though there's almost certainly a catch there.
Dunno about magic yet.
whats the combat like? I know its eurojank but is it at least better than elex?
That is a giant, dude.
Pretty standard, early on at least the combat is just circling your enemies and waiting for opportunities to attack. Nothing special, maybe later on it becomes more varied with the more advanced enemies.
The game absolutely shines with Co-op, it's really not great solo imo.
Do enemies get an HP boost in co-op or anything like that, or is it the same (solo just effectively being more difficult)?
>start game
>guy tells me to rest
>do so
>nothing happens
>cancel resting
>now sound is gone
>alright whatever, go pick up a machete and try to kill the wolves
>input lag out the ass and I die
>black screen
Amazing. I like eurojank, but this goes beyond jank, this is just a broken mess.
I believe enemies do get harder with 2 people. The game just feels like it's missing something when you play solo, so having someone to bounce ideas off and have experiences with helps a lot imo. I feel like this game could have been great but it's not quite there, it's a 6.5 or light 7/10 though.
They get extra stability and maybe a small hp boost.
Why do all games that seem interesting to me turn out to be a disappointment? Fuck
Worked for me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
What parts of the game seemed interesting to you?
The whole system is an excuse for you to look for wood to make a campfire and boil some eggs
Literally
Me too, yet I wasn't feeling it for Kenshi; not enough there.
because you're a retard who falls for advertisements. Literally a companies favourite kind of customer
what is it
They actually took the time to build in a pretty thorough anti-duplication system. I'm pretty sure every single item is tagged with a unique ID so merely giving your items away and then loading a backup doesn't work as the minute the character who you gave your items to loads in you lose all of your shit as there cannot be duplicate IDs.
Took me a solid 15 minutes of testing to figure that out definitely but its still piss easy to exploit the system if you really desire its just tedious which is a good enough deterrent.
is there lore for why you can respawn
So? Don't magic until later game when you have a little bit of a cash buffer to support it.
Its just a shitty game mechanic to play around the fact that you cant manually save at all in the game
I thought it was going to be game over when a wizard killed me, locked me in his dungeon and sent a giant monster which fucked me up. Instead some jew kike hunter took most of my coins for free and sent me back to town.
BOTW also took 4 years to make.
In Outward...
>you cant climb anything
>you cant chop down trees
>you cant start a campfire with a torch
>you cant start forest fires
>you cant forage the grass for bugs
>you cant swim
>you cant use wind to sail around on lakes and rivers
>you cant shieldsurf
>combat is barebones and you cant do combos or anything
>you cant get a mount
The visuals are actually SOMEHOW worse than botw and sound design too. Muh eurotrash generic plot and small sidestories, not even a tenth as creative or good as something like little big adventure.
I was hyped for this game btw, i managed to dodge this bullet thanks you skeptical anons. genuine thanks to you magnificent cynical bastards.
It would have been much more interesting if the premise was you were cursed with immorality.
You can't actually die but if you reach the point where you would normally die you go comatose and are completely at the mercy of your surroundings.
Would have been an interesting premise. A wandering immortal.
Oh man I didn't even notice!, those were birds for a size reference.
You should also factor in budget and team size, only time is not really fare.
You can carry an absurd amount of weight if you put all your items in a satchel and run while your equiping it. It's good if you want to farm mats and store it.
You mean run already while grabbing it and keep running? Does it not apply the overencumbered effect?
You know why the world is actually big rooms and not actual open world?
because they couldnt even add in LOD on terrain, something BASIC to how open world games work. So they made the entire game a bunch of instances, this isn't because of development team size. Botw core dev team was around 10 people too, all the other hundreds of people do is add polish. There is no excuse as to why everything is instanced and the foundation of the game is so weak other than the devs are lazy brainlets.
In the animation while your grabbing it you can sprint. You have to drop the bag and re-equip it to run for the next stretch.
Oh fuck that then, that's constant spamming.
It's amazing some mushrooms are 70s and a house apparently 150s
How the fuck does that logic work lmao, good job handing over 40 shekels blindly
Way to pay attention, dumbass. The 150s is not for your house, it's the first payment for the families of those lost in the ship wreck, and overall a small part of your overall bloodline debt. You'd just lose the house if you couldn't pay in time, because you'd be defaulting on your debt.
sounds like you just wanted to play BOTW
I wish sun titan was good my foil one was my favorite card :(
I had the exact same thing happen. any luck? I've reinstalled multiple times
>story is weak as fuck
>multiplayer logic when dying breaks narration
>you "get wood" by magically staring at a tree
I was expecting a decent rpg, i guess this aint it chief. Say what you will but i got more into the world and character in botw than i did in this supposed hardcore rpg.
No this retard is literally falseflagging a fucking video game. Its shit, but it is 40 bux on steam no more no less
>Start game
>Do quest to find shield mushroom
>Clear out most of the area
>Go to fight the last group
>Do it and leave
>Get back to city
>All of my fucking items in my backpack are gone
>Nowhere to be found in the dungeon either
>Reload a backup I made because lol onesaveseurojank
>Repeat exact same actions
>All items are still there afterwards
I'm pretty sure the game glitched out when I put my backpack down or there is a random chance that when you put your backpack down and move more than 10 feet away everything in it might be stolen.
If its the former I'm not surprised as its glitchy as fuck. If its the latter then it is absolutely retarded.
>same price as kingmaker
>same price as Nier
s-stop judging we are a small indie studio who don't want to work hard to compete please s-shut up and j-just buy our game!!1 :'^(
I ain't buying this game till I know the magic system is good.
The price is the only genuine fault this game has. Every other is a derivative of it
>movement speed buff
Goddammit now I have to look incredibly silly.
hilariously enough, they would sell AT LEAST 4-5 times as much if they priced it 10€ instead of 40€
now theoretically they end up making the same amount of money but they would have way more people invested into their game that might buy future updates and expansions
what is the actual fucking logic behind putting the price up so high these days?
what's the multiplayer player limit?
I actually almost never like any game, just thought it was a comfy rpg
yes
>Despite that game having a 60M budget the game we made is also a game and as such should be priced the same
>Forgot I bought it months ago on Amazon
>Showed up at my house today
>Spent an hour figuring out how to exploit the system
>Have a mule with 200 gold bars and 4K silver on him for when I inevitably come back to the game in a few months when there is a game drought
Back to Sekiro it is.
>40 dollars is too much for a videogame
Are you literally underage?
no, just got other hobbies to spend money and time
>t. do you guys not have phones
No but I can tell that you are.
Game is very cheap with low quality production and assests, why in the hell should it cost more than Pathfinder that has 10x amount of content. Hell it costs as much as Elex and Elex is just a better game with the same formula.
>I don't want to give you money for that bag of poop
>LMAO WHAT ARE YOU POOR ITS ONLY 40 DOLLARS THIS GUY CAN'T EVEN AFFORD A BAG OF POOP
Wait how many payments do you have to make?
A nice restaurant charging $10 for a burger is one thing. McDonalds charging $10 for a McDouble is another. Especially when its a McDonalds knock-off charging $10 for their imitation.
There is a guy you can help on the beach south of the town, he'll give you a rit of favor, give rit of favor to town leader and they'll write the entire debt off
$40 for an early access game without the early access label, giving them an easy out to not support it properly
Hard pass.
STOP TALKING LIKE THAT WE- I MEAN THEY DID THEIR BEST THEY DESERVE YOUR MONEY YOU CHEAP JEW!
I don't play Eurojank. Sorry shill.
You might be joking but one of their devs literally shilled their game on retard pre-release pretending to be a player, he also said he wouldn't mention any negative things about the game, because reasons and now the two reviews that are out right now have both given it a 60.
Don't trust anything you read about this game, the devs are shilling it hard.
>spend years building a car to every specification of my liking
>its of lower quality than a luxury car but i spent more money making it
>try to sell it for the price of a luxury high end car
>wtf why wont they buy my car for the price of a high end known brand
economics is not as simple as A = B UNGA BUNGA
The devs literally made several 2+ hours playthroughs, anyone interested in the quality of the game knew exactly what the were getting into
Shut up monkey
looks like shit.
And that is why it has poor to mediocre sales and reception.
>not fighting with a mushroom weapon
Rather glad Morrowind became free. Figure if I'm going to play a janky ugly open world game I'll just go with a classic and buy this when it's half off. Sounds like an okay game but not worth $40.
Haven't touched Morrowind since I bought the GOTY edition and did a few runs like 16 years ago. Can't wait to see how this matches up with my nostalgia.
Dumbest nigger in this thread, holy fuck you're dumb.
BotW was made by 300 people, not 10 like this game.
Can I pay with my body? That's how this works right?
This game looks like fucking shit but you are stupider than a fucking donkey.
>4 years by 10 people = progress of 4 years by 200+ people
How does your brain work?
It was made exclusively by Nomura and Kojima on their weekend escapes to burgerland. What the fuck are you talking about.
if it didn't work for recette, it won't work for you
If you liked Risen 1, then get this game
The devs thought that through - no matter what character you create it will be so butt ugly even hookers refuse to fuck you
Incredibly mediocre game that's neither bad nor particulary good. I refunded it and wouldn't want to pay more than 5 burger coupons for it.
Risen 1 was a much better game and this is coming from someone who played both. They are similar in that they are both eurojank but that is it. Risen has a better story, better mechanics and better gameplay. It also fucking LOOKS better. When this game first loaded in I waited four minutes because I assumed there was a texture pop-in issue. Nope it just looks like a PS2 game.
graphics and music are what adds up that 200+ dev list
the core dev team is about 10 people
this game has no excuse to not have a good foundation
YOU CANT JUMP, YOU CANT SWIM, NO MOUNTS
how do you survive? eurojank and jap shit is literally the only stuff worth playing these days.
Well it sells itself as a Souls-like and Souls never had jumping,(well it had but not in a classic way) swimming or mounts
>graphics and music are what adds up that 200+ dev list
>the core dev team is about 10 people
You need to be 18+ to post on this site. Stop pretending you have any idea how gamedev works, you retarded kid.
>the core dev team is about 10 people
First of all, source.
Second, Outwards ENTIRE team is 10 people, that includes art, music, animations, marketing and literally everything. A single developer could create a BotW-like tech demo in Unreal Engine in a few weeks if not less, complete with climbing, jumping, swimming, setting things on fire, gliding, etc. the challenge is integrating that into an actual game and building the content around it, which is what 200+ people helps with.
With 200 fucking people BotW managed what, a large world, recycled shrine assets, recycled "dungeon" assets and a handful of enemies? It's obvious most of their development efforts went into building the core of the game, you fucking ape.
I'm pretty sure you are a developer of Outward and a massive cunt for getting into a dishonest argument with people online.
>got the game for free from Chinese Steam
>nobody to play it with
Wonder if I can persuade my buddy to buy it.
why are they both the same price then you stupid kike
You are a literal retard who doesn't have a single idea how game development works.
But if you're right an I am a developer of Outward than I'm BTFOing you even more because I developed an actual game and know how it works.
imagine these people thinking that everyone on the credits list works full time and isn't just some dude who was outsourced a piece of work
having graphical/sound artists around full time during all times of development is how you run a busyness into the ground, way to out yourself as to not knowing how to run a fucking company
BotW is still $60 you retard, $60 for a 2 year old game. Nintendo is the very definition of kike.
you dodged my question, why is this game the same price
It isn't? The game is $40.
At least you are admitting you are dishonest kike who is doing this purely for their own gain. You are a shitty human being.
Another B-tier rpg like Amalur
Well I sure hope I can do something with this.
Suck a dick shill
How much stamina and health should I sacrifice for mana? Want to go full mage if possible, but also don't want to ruin my character.
I'm enjoying this so far but I wouldn't pay 40$ for it
This seems like a wait for a sale when they've probably worked out a bunch of the bugs type game.
>Australian dollars
Retard.
>Got it on ps4, have it a good long go with my wife in coop, paid the bill, got cash, bought a bunch of recipes, saved quit for the night, went back in next day recipes are gone, quick slots are always emptied out exiting and re entering

As someone who is constantly shitting on this game it is absolutely $40. I don't even know what the fuck you are trying to prove. I don't know what shitstain country you are from but the american site doesn't have an A in the monetary value like wherever the fuck you come from.
I think you mean a game you pirate.
>said it was $60
>it is
>cries that they cant understand currency conversion
The game is overpriced for what it is, get over it shill and stop the samefag its pathetic.
I don't pirate
French-Canadians would never demean themselves by speaking English.
>40 shekels
Y U FKN LYIINNNNNN
It isn't $60 as that literally denotes US dollars. It is literally called the Dollar sign not the AUD sign faggot. When someone says $ they fucking mean US dollars.
>No this guy either doesn't live in America
>Replies with image in Australian currency, attempting to prove him wrong
Literally brain dead.
pretending to be a retard is still acting like a retard user
40 US dollars you sperg. Blame your shitty emu currency.
what even kind of money is that?
>t. A$60 is $60
Kill yourself mongoloid.
It was mentioned in some dialogue with tribe chief it's thousands.
>First of all, source.
The BoTW core dev team is actually smaller than Outwards.
Theres a documentary on the development of BotW, if you check on wikipedia they list the devs.
Director(s) Hidemaro Fujibayashi
Producer(s) Eiji Aonuma
Programmer(s)
Takuhiro Dohta
Kenji Matsutani
Hiroshi Umemiya
Artist(s) Satoru Takizawa
Writer(s) Akihito Toda
Composer(s)
Manaka Kataoka
Yasuaki Iwata
Hajime Wakai
Everyone else was a contract worker hired for a job/task, not an actual full time employee.
You're so fucking retarded you're going to argue semantics to try and save face? Pfthahahahahahhahaah
The game is $60, its overpriced as shit, get over it.
>Managers are the same are core dev team
>Everyone else was a contract worker hired for a job/task
>Cant comprehend that literally tens to hundreds of contracts can work on video games for developers who outsource
Jesus fucking christ you're retarded
Are you actually retarded?
I genuinely wish you death. I hope you know that. I want you to actually die somehow. Be it by slipping and falling headfirst into a pile of shit in your toilet or just choking on the next cock you gargle. There is now one more person in the world who wants you to no longer exist.
It's the only way becauese there is a big chance you won't like it. It's really clunky and kinda empty but something feels good about adventuring with your backpack full of shit and claymore on your shoulder.
Go plow your kangaroo wife to let off some of that steam. mate.
those are tasty shekels
Made me lol
>this is how an american reacts when confronted with the idea of currency exchange
they deal with outsourcing and budget so yes
the same people who worked on certain tasks for BotW are now doing ads for toiletpaper today, seems like the one who doesnt understand how the world works here is you
no but you seem to be, you people are so dumb its actually boring to explain this shit like you were toddlers. I bet you think special effects studios are just full time employed and working on a single movie at all times too
>we're just a small team pls no bully ;_;
Plenty of good games made by one or two guys. difference being that they were smart enough to recognise their limitations and we ended up with some simple but solid games (undertale, salt and sanctuary just to name a couple)
This piece of shit, on the other hand, has zero charm, is ugly, has zero technical prowess, is mechanically shallow, and is overall a five minute pump and dump for niche babbies that will be forgotten in a month just like dark and light.
Stick to making poutine, eh?
your image says the game is $40 though
Are you legitimately retarded? The picture you just posted proves your point incorrect.
I already said the game looks shit you doofus, I'm just stating that comparing to a 200+ man developer team is retarded beyond belief and if you can't see that, eat my balls.
Should I take Mana Channeling all the way to 10? Gives fuckton of mana but takes me down to only 50% of my health and stamina.
18.69$ USD for me
Why would mounts matter in a survival game? This isn't wow ya dummy
please stop
There are skills which boost health, stamina and mana. However you can come back and boost your your mana capacity any time you want later though.
So I would say just get a 100 and when you find yourself with more health and stamina and you are hitting the limits of your mana constantly then come back.
Please be bait
Was free for me ;) although whenever I sleep it makes my game stutter like crazy until I restart it. Any ideas?
Play a better game.
Yeah and that's wrong I agree, you have to compare this game to other small team indie games and even then it falls painfully short in every aspect objectively and subjectively. it's a real tragedy of ego.
Compare this to the Pathfinder team and the result. Its fucking silly the quality difference.
Thanks. I was thinking about going to just 5 for 75% of health and stamina instead. Seems a decent compromise. And yeah, knowing that there are ways to boost health stamina and mana outside of this I'll wait to see where I end up before doing more of the permanent change.
I've spent like 20 minutes creating a character because all options are so fucking ugly I couldn't decide what assface and "hair" to pick. Women are even uglier lmao.
I'm using this sword (I found a brutal spear but spears are shit in this game) and apart for the durability this is not bad. It even has some effect on enemies (they start losing violet particles)
I hope there'll be a quest to restore it that won't be faction locked
As to the price, you guys should check key sites if you're interested. I got it from CDKeys for £25. That was before release though, dunno if you can get it for that still.
The game is fun so far but comes with a lot of technical headaches. Playing splitscreen on PC, initially getting through character creation (which is bare bones as fuck) was a chore because the game would read the input of both controllers and mouse and keyboard as one player. Haven't had that problem since getting into the game proper though. The sound likes to cut out randomly and the loading screens are a little long but other than that it's mostly been alright.
Once you actually get going though, adventuring is fun. You'll die a lot at the start, but there's no actual death, just different scenarios that play out depending on what killed you. Hyenas will drag you back to their lair, bandits will put you to work in their mine, shit like that. We're still getting a feel for everything but I like it so far.
Its a perfectly solid 5 out of 10. Its like a worse two worlds.
Pick slav face and long hair or just make a troll.
>Its like a worse two worlds.
Thats going to far, it's better than Two Worlds(1st one) by the presence of coop alone
So is the gameplay fundamentally broken or is it a simple matter of tweaking stuff?
Stop treating rolls like DS3 rolls and it's fine.
It is like Risen 2 in terms of combat but a bit worse and more unreliable.
>Drop pack
>Falls through the world
>Is now totally inaccessible
Great game
just reload save
Yeah that is what I did. Since they knew that their game would be glitchy they made sure to include a robust manual and auto-save system which ensures that if some game breaking bug happens that you will be able to reload a previous save.
I mean what kind of asshole would create a buggy mess of a survival game and then make it mandatory ironman mode where half of the danger is random glitches due to poor programming.
Backpacks.
Packs that go on the back. They hold items and increase your inventory space.
Any lad tried magic yet? is necormancy a thing?
I keep getting SHRIMPED by the bug on top of the mountain help
Poison and bleeding seem absurdly effective so far, I poisoned it and just ran around some rocks while it helplessly succumbed.
The village chief specifically tells you that the only way you'd be able to make that kind of dosh in 5 days is by risking your life adventuring.
TRAPS
One of the few games I've played where traps are actually worth the effort.
Took me five traps to get a chance aganst this fag
I think Kenshi has ruined me on these kinds of games. I just cannot abide this shitty combat, everything else was going in the right direction.
>steal something
>noone cares
Is this normal? There should be consequences for some jerkoff walking into a shop and just sticking everything in their bag, wheres the risk reward in that, just go to a hub and you have instant access to tons of items for nothing.
Lol look at this fag complaining about the price of a bag of poop.
Pathetic poorfag.
Kenshi's combat is fucking terrible though
how
I am actually playing this after like four months of the Kenshi dose. I am enjoying it.
It works for what the game is doing, you cant have direct control over a characters actions in a game of that scale, its an RPG not an action game. This game however feels like the combat isnt working right, its unresponsive and clunky. to the point where I just want a spell or something that turns it into a shooting game.
Any tips at the start? I just landed on shore and I see some dead guys and a torch?
60 aussie dollars is literally 42.5 US dollars you daft cunt
Do harvest nodes respawn or is it a finite one and done thing?
OY VEY
you started to shitpost just allright and then had to mention the input lag and blame it on your dead
you just suck dude, in general
google how to be an hero
FUCK ELATT AND FUCK BLUES
it's disgusting how the devs were obviously spamming fake 10/10 pre-reviews on metacritic, on all platforms
most dev teams do that
source: im a game dev working at a retarded AAA company that even requires us to leave good google reviews of our offices
So what is the Kingdoms deal? I know the Blue thing is sins of the father and Elatt is that he is actually some sort of body stealing possession machine and all of his servants are eventually just him.
What is their deal?
Explore that little starting area thoroughly for as much loot as possible.
There's no such thing as stealing in the game, you can take everything not nailed down. This means grab as much shit as you can in Cierzo, sell whatever you don't need and buy a proper backpack as your first priority.
There's a greataxe just outside the town hall, and an expensive outfit in a chest inside it. A small cave beneath the lighthouse has some more shit in it too, and a few trogs.
Don't buy stuff that you can just find somewhere for free instead.
You can easily keep the house by heading south onto the beach (or by an exit from the Cierzo storage), and giving a bandage to an injured guy there. The money is better spent on equipment or skills.
There's very little point in buying cooking or alchemy recipes, you can discover the recipes yourself with manual crafting. For example, you can discover the Gaberry Jam recipe yourself by just manually putting 4 gaberries in the cooking slots, instead of paying like 25 silver.
There's a small cave called Immaculate's Cave just north/northeast of the big mountain, go inside, talk to him and you can get some free shit.
I've only played with it for about 3hrs. the combat is weak. sure its "soulslike" but its been copy/pasted poorly.
combat feels like if darksouls was made made for ps2. blech
Fuck me, where do I get the next backpack past the nomad one? I'm tired of running back to town after every new landmark to unload all my shit.
i paid 39.99 yesterday as an east coast american. dont lie on this mongolian papercrafting board
he complained about legit bugs. i had the main menu bug where your game wont launch properly.
had to uninstall and restart 4 times.
shill
That's because it's not 100% copy. You don't really NEED to roll to evade shit
I've been restarting the campaign for 10th time now because of autism
>go on beach
>surprised there is a free machete on fish rack
>more surprised you cannot share the fire or the cooking pot in the same beach
also wtf is with bandages. I've only had time to go through a day and I've used something like 9 bandages. all my spare cash and old clothes go to bandages- I guess wounds open up? I don't have fucking time for wounds.
I'm guessing drink tea?
The combat is fucking nothing like dark souls
They've been shilling this game like nothing else and they're not even good at it.
Give me one goddamn reason to buy your dogshit
Is the coop invite only or does it have a server searching mechanic? There can't be literally no one one xbox.
I didn't even know this game existed until three days ago and I've only three threads for it since then.
Invite only
should I get it (y/n)
I'm a few hours in and it's been okay so far. Nothing amazing.
hard pass
For that price?
Absolutely not, wait for it to improve and discount to at least 20 which is the max it is worth from what I've seen so far.
Okay, I will do this. Thanks for helping my little impulsive retard brain be reasonable for once.
It says I have 5 days to pay the debt? How do I know how many days have passed? Also is there an indicator on which doors are openable?
3,14bay
When you open your map it shows you how many days you've been playing the game.
There's full damage when playing coop so playing with randoms would've resulted in some hilarious griefing
Seems they refill after a few days.
It's boring and uninspired. It's just another lame half assed western attempt at a soulsclone with Skyrim mechanics that someone thought about a little bit more than Todd Howard. Disappointing.
Thoughts on the death system? Sometime's I've been inconvinienced by it, waking up someplace completely shit
but then sometimes it takes me to the capital of the area away from that complete shit cave saving me a lot travel time
sometimes I wake up after defeat and there's some new adventure right in my face a second after I wake up
feels weird for me
How does it work? I haven't died yet.
It depends on who killed you and where
My husband already spent our gaming budget on it. I told him to wait for negative reviews (best measure to go by because it's easier to see where the bullshit is, positive reviews are a crap shoot as to whether or not it's being done by shill) and he didn't listen and now I'm depressed. It was supposed to be a coop thing for us but my char loses its shit every time I quit and go back in. Can't refund either.
when you go down you wake up somewhere else, might be a hunter saved you took you to their hut, might be the beast that "killed" you took you to their lair as a snack or some bandits took you and your gear to their camp
you never die, something just happens to you
who's the top in ur relationship
doesn't it sell itself as an open world survival crafting game that's also a fantasy RPG?
Happened to me yesterday, i only had a few minutes to play before heading to bed.
>npc says to rest
Rest and nothing happens
I then remember an user saying to commit sudoku to unbug the starter area.
>kill myself on the 2 starting hyenas
Black screen and bed time left it at that
Hopefully today ill have more time and better luck
Read that as bandits took you and your rear to their camp.
Fuck him in the ass
My pirated version must be broken
Can be too lenient at times, e.g. the ghost pass you wake up in a room nearby with restored health and without any maluses allowing you to throw yourself at the enemies until they die.
There's some pretty neat shit too though, like the Immaculate saving you and giving you an item or magic. Probably won't go Holy Order just because that guy was a bro.
What I'm wondering is how the fuck these guys got a publisher at all
Deep Silver LOVES money, you should know this by now, mostly after that Epic Games scandal with Metro.
But if they loved money, they wouldn't be near a game like this
40$ for an early access alpha disguised as a full release, you decide.
Deep Silver is just a bizarre company that will publish basically anything.
It is shit
Is it possible to do the heroic kingdom leyline dungeon without a co-op buddy? These lever puzzles are clearly designed for two people.
tfw it's shit
It still sells
or you show up at your house and you're fucked and lost everything you've been stashing in the chest to pay off your house. fucking ass.
I've woken up a prisoner, woken up near my satchel randomly, woken up in town out of town, sometimes with shit sometime not, sometimes the bag comes back.
it's kind of a death spiral too, you wake up bleeding with no bandages and nowhere to sleep and you just die again. the fucking random bag coming back sucks ass, I need to manage my inventory better I guess.
how do you actually pay off your house?
I don't mean how do you get the scheckles, but once I have 150 wtf do I do? the number of times I've eaten raw meat or drank salt water I can't tell you, so I don't want to hump around, get to 150 and then fuck up ACTUALLY PAYING IT OFF.
so how does it work?
>see fishing spot
>sell good stuff for 20s
>pay 20 to get a harpoon
>go to harvest some fish
>1 salmon
>1sp
fucking great ROI there
How do I get better at combat in this game? I've died like 5 times and I've been respawning to nearly everywhere from that insect cave to that murder camp.. and why didn't the tripwire work when the bandit walked on it?
talk with rissa or whats her name in the town hall.
I wouldnt pay the 150 silver tho. just go to the beach with a bandage and give that to that guy close to one of those electro shrimps. dont have to fight that even.
you pay off your debt in literally 5 minutes if you just go there.
if u paid attention the bitch told you to meet her at the town hall to pay it off
Go to the town hall and speak to the old lady with an eyepatch
get a shield.
lock on to your enemy.
walk sideways.
wait for him to finish his attack, or attack chain. hit him a bit.
repeat
i chose the sword skill in the beginning and usually just wait for that to charge up again and hit them with that, after blocking.
how do I open the fucking map?
Is 1.1 attack speed better than 1.0 in this game?
Also what's the difference between weapon types?
And do I get any experience or something?
The abs0lute state of nintenbros. Comparing 4 years of work by a team of 10 vs a team of 300
As far as I can tell, all skills and passives are learned through trainers rather than experience.
you have to buy your skills. you can choose 3 classes from a total of 9 and buy their skills. and thats pretty much all the RPG elements in this game i think.
no idea about the other stuff.
Is there anything special about the strange rusted sword?
Spear is also a handy first weapon, long range + first skill you get is a counter that takes off about half of an enemy's HP.
what skill are you talking about? i've only seen the axe from the trainer and that guy from the gates
The skill the gate guard gives you depends on the weapon you are holding. If you're holding a spear he gives you that counter skill.
>See mixed opinions on it
>Look at some gameplay
>Looks like janky shit
This doesn't really seem like it's worth a pirate.
>sell a bunch of shit
>buy a bow
>get leapback training at gate
>go out into the world
>find arrows
>can't figure out how to use bow waste arrow
>get dead lose the other 5 arrows
welp
>Game has hot big tiddy statues
>Actual female characters look like some variant of goblin
Is this one of those games where "your soooo unimportant your not at all special" translates into "even the most malnourished, crippled NPCs has 10 times the stats you do and making a vaguely competent character requires several hours of mind-numbingly dull grinding"?
Not really. Right out of the gate with no real armor or skills you should be able to kill a bandit or two without tremendous trouble.
so kids, 2nd game I collected everything around town and paid my bloodprice day 1, with 13 sliver, a 14 silver armor, shield, and 14 silver alchemist salts and a recipe for berry jam left over.
I realized the first game I tried to turn whatever cash I got into equipment or lost when I died with said equipment trying to go out in the world. I realized if I just added it up it would probably top 150 and I wound up with 163 plus some shit. Paid the blood price before rissa even left my front porch.
Can you kill them?
Or you could have saved a dude on the beach by giving him a bandage/potion.
how stable is online coop?
You're actually one of the dumbest niggers on this site I've seen since 2012. My day is actually ruined knowing that someone this fucking retarded is browsing this garbage site. If this is bait, you have completely defeated me.
Doesn't have levels, but you do get buttfucked by some enemies
What's up fellow potheads
it seemed cheap. not that never leaving town wasn't cheap. what's the point of this game again?
I feel like the bleeding is just too much personally. Even when you win a fight you pretty much lose.
Is the Blue Sand Armor worth the money?
what do you mean it seemed cheap?
so you knew about it and still decided to waste silver instead of walking for max 5 minutes?
use a bandage after fighting?
Has anyone progressed through the story? The factions looked interesting.
Haven't even made it out the first area yet. Stuck in the labyrinth trying to get some magic juice.
I want this game to suceed because we need more splitscreen. Even if its jank. We need more passion projects.
going to that beach because this thread told me about it is about as exciting as a cheat code. cheap as in "without value"
I've had to use as many as 4, even after waiting for the first bandage I kept bleeding out and the little bandage warning came back again and again.
I'm watching some streams to get a feel for it. The combat looks like shit, but some of the survival elements seem interesting. If you're strapped for cash I probably wouldn't buy this, but if they improve the game in the future it might be good.
What's cheap is setting unnecessary time constraints on you right from the getgo. It's supposed to be a choose your own adventure style, so starting it off with something so one dimensional is cheap in of itself.
That's not bleeding you idiot, that just says use a bandage because you're low on health. Bleeding is a red effect
>coop with a buddy
>see two bandits in the distance hunting a bird
>decide to get revenge for earlier and attack them while they're busy
>bird oneshots both of them
It's setting up the premise for the game. Your character starts adventuring shit because they're strapped for cash and the amount you need is low enough that it's a non-issue even if you take your time.
hey user can you tell me what happens. I had the same issue. thanks x
interdasting, one bandage has been all i've neede to end bleeding caused by anything
make sure like this user that you have the BLEEDING effect in your vitals/status, the bandage icon that pops up is just a reminder to heal up.
Healing with bandages only is slow as hell, use foods and rest to speed it up or potions to heal asap
Bread of the Wild > Breath of the Wild
Shill me about this game
Anyone discover a good way to earn some silver? There's so much shit I want to buy but I'm always under like 50silver at any given time.
theres litterally a dude on the beach south of town who pays your debt if given a bandage for his stomach injury. takes 30sec to do and removes BS 5 day stress for free
no
yes, but i noticed on PS4 graphics are super pixelated. have you? i pirated on PC and some stuff looks acceptable
C O M F Y
please?
Finally. We magic now.
>£35
lmao?
Is that a quest or did you just got inside that mountain and that's it?
standing in cold water drops your body temperature, but the indoors rain wont make you cold
Just fought my way through the mountain.
the indoor environments in this game all look terrible
How big is the world map? Is it one continuous level or separate maps?
Several regions. You need rations to travel between them.
Separate maps. Each map is pretty big. To travel between maps you use travel rations.
Ah, shit.
What the fuck does the Soul Reveal spell do?
There are good looking caves and dungeons, most human architecture has shit textures, agreed.
Mostly I think it's the lighting, outsides are gorgeous whenever there's a sunset/rise, a moon or stars in the sky, no such level of detail indoors
True. Get me the game then or you are a fucking jew
I know the co-op partner doesn't get credit for doing quests in their own game but can they atleast still interact with quest givers and get rewards? Is the 2nd player just completely out of the loop on the story? Friend and I wanna co-op start to finish.
What's the average mana cost of a spell?
The tutorial spell sigil system got me interested and worried about being a magic user
I was given two to start with. One costs 5 and the other costs 7
Can I play co-op if I pirate it?
>give myself 100 mana
>"I sure hope this was worth it"
>toss a fireball at a dude
>takes out half of his health and stability
>not even my best weapon does that
>this is literally the first offensive spell in the game
now I'm excited to see what else I can get
Holy shit user, what did you give up? How is the mana regen?
>100
>Not going balls to the wall and giving yourself 200 mana
I die in two hits from trogs now
If the thread is still up when i get home and i manage to fix it, ill let you folks know what worked for me
There's 0 mana regen, and every time you sleep it burns more of your max mana. Only items restore it and remove the burn.
FUCKING KEK. how did you make that?
More mana =/= more damage but the more you have, the less potions you have to use and the more spells you can fling around. There's no mana regen so you'll need to use certain food recipies or potions/drinks to get your mana back. Seems fair considering how strong magic apparently is.
Magic system is really interesting. Wanna see how it goes in the future.
Combining spells is neat.
If the coop buddy doesnt get anything out of helping a friend, there really is no point. I hope they can link quests and stuff
3 factions, one in each of the main cities (start town not included):
monsoon(swamp city)- holy order, paladin and missionary style vibe
burg (forest city)- tribal order, similar to gov't in start city. all about tribal order and ancestors. traditionalists
Levant(desert city)- free tinking and advancement, magic use and technology are respected most here.
>poorer than australians and americans
>have to pay more for video games
t-thanks
sheeeit dude, and i thought my MASTER TRADER HAT is good with 5% movespeed
Can you use magic while wielding a 2h sword?
janky version of souls games. heavy/light attack buttons, roll and block button, and then you can chain heavy/lights to do different moves based on weapon type. then there are mapped skills/spells in your quickbar. here you get the most nuance with stuff like shield bash and stun-kick, and throw lantern as an attack, etc..
yeah, damage and HP on enemies scale with coop. no other game mechanics altered
press x to doubt anons cheat engine stories
yes but some spells require you to be wielding certain equipment (chakram spells require a chakram in the off-hand, while runic spells require a runic book)
the tutorial area for some reason had input lag here too. fought through it and it went away after tutorial though..
There's a trainer in the town Monsoon that teaches a passive that regens mana passively.
what region is the town in?
needs a breakthrough point though right?
not that anything would be a better investment than mana regen
ITS
SO
FUCKING
JANKY
is this the ugliest AA release in 2019?
A release you mean
The marsh area, Monsoon is all the way at the north end of it.
I don't think so, no. I saw it a few hours ago and am back in the starting area so I don't feel like trekking all the way back.
Probably. I'm using magic with a big ass tower shield and club.
kb+m or controller?
Is there an alchemy kit somewhere close to the starter town?
I don't want to pay 60 silver just to find one in the next chest I loot.
Aiming a bow seems like it'd be impossible on a pad
I believe the alchemist gives you one as a reward for doing a quest for her. Exhaust her dialog to get the quest.
There's one on a corpse in the trog cave which should be your first dungeon.
Epic. She wants me to bring her some dust that you create via the alchemy kit.
Meh, either loot is randomized or I missed it.
I guess I have to pay then.
What's a Warm Boon?
It's a worth-while investment.
Blood Mushroom + Gravel Beetle = 3 Life Potions.
should i ignore the debt and just say fuck the house?
embrace the wild as a traveling wizard?
>get chased by a mini t rex looking fucker in the marshland
>chases me all the way to Monsoon
>sleep for 7 hours
>decide to explore marsh area outside the city
>mini t rex thing still there
>it kept aggro on me for 7 hours
It's one of the desiccated corpses in there, which is a bit deceiving considering you can't loot most of the other ones. I only happened upon the option by chance.
Try petting him.
can't. it attacked me and fell off the pier. it's just sitting underneath the pier watching me.
so the best pure damage build is maxxing out mana and going over to Monsoon and learning passive mana regen? Anything else? Before I even think of wasting the money I'd at least like to know the optimal damage route
Shoulda invested in cold weather protection. Now it's too late and I'm going to die with town literally in sight.
he he, yeah...
>Arrows are visibly stuck in what you shoot
>Can't loot the arrows of the corpse
>tfw it starts snowing
Hey, faggots, can you switch camera to first person here?
yes
if (game.release_date > 1994) game.good = false;
>Combining spells
nigga elaborate
kbm
gamepad suck in this game imo
Spells have minor effects on their own but you can combine them to cast big boy spells.
Like you have a spell that shoots out sparks that can distract people with slight damage and another spell that creates a fire sigil on the ground that warms you up and protects from cold.
But if you cast the sparks while standing inside the sigil you make a big ass fireball.
Is it even legal to have such a shit opinion
I found one in a chest in the ruins of a fortress near a lake north-east from the central purple mountain
Dude, I prefer gamepad in souls/sekiro but here it's ASS.
IS IT WORTH A BUY?
Okay, thanks.
Not for 40 for sure. Pirate before buying, you might not like it.
Died in influx mountain, woke up with my backpack permanently gone. Thanks game
>Can tell game is bad from prerelease stuff
>this isn't even hard whatsoever, it looks like a circa 2005 open world game
>people are confused and have to ask Yea Forums if the game is good or bad
why can't you guys evaluate video games when all you do is play video games? this has always blown my mind. this is the type of game you can tell with CERTAINTY is bad from pre release footage
I had luck in starter area but after getting out of my house every time I turned my camera faster than a snails pace frames dropped to single digits
Name any other open world co-op rpg with split screen
Are potions the only way to recover max mana?
>"choose your own adventure" game
>wants to be railroaded
it's probably not for you
read thread
borderlands
>"choose your own adventure"
when you can't do anything in the game besides "adventuring" aka fighting in this "openworld mmo" I think it's fair to ask what's the best way of doing that. After being bored of the optimal, that's when you start experimenting with different builds for fun.
so is this game fine single player?
it looks like a really slow paced exploration game where you have lots of down time walking around finding things and setting up camp and stuff, then go into dungeons to find cool shit.
if that's the game, then I'll get it. I've been looking for something like that for a long time.
it drops from the birds not sure about how rare it is though
it's not mmo btw
>suddenly some nigger from Grim Dawn
Best way of adventuring is the way you have most fun with
It is as you described but very low budget so I would advise pirate first.
It's rather weak in that regard, and that's basically all there is to it.
Playing through with my friend. Once we got an alchemy kit and a couple of potion recipes things have been getting better. we haven't left the first region yet. Mostly staying near the starting town actually. Fucking hyenas keep infecting him so we have to go brew tea.
Really fun but only for a specific group of people I'd wager, me and my cousin are having a good old time adventuring.
That's a loot slot machine with a thin coat of paint and a terribly self-fellating sense of humor, but i guess i never actually specified that i wanted a "good" game so congrats, you got me
this seems like the type of game that becomes amazing after a year of bug fixes and dlc
Fat chance they will ever release dlc. They even stated that it depended on reception.
the main thing they should be working on is smoothness of gameplay. fix the garbage jank and the game will be palatable. too bad they clearly enjoy the smell of their own farts a bit too much with that obnoxious price tag.
What the fuck I died in conflux mountain and woke up there without a bag, just some linen cloth and harpoon, with my bag nowhere to be found. Did it just bug out?
A release cost of $40 is pretty reasonable. After a year when they've released some patches and dropped the price to $20 I expect people will say it's a good game.
Search it someone stole it
Can your coop friend get quests along with you?
is there somewhere to practice with a bow? I didn't see anything in the tutorial, I mean I think there was a bow but no arrows and the tutorial put me at the start with no equipment when I tried to sleep.
that's fucking hilarious
What could have stolen it? I was fighting some kind of beast in the chambers, and I woke up next to the watchers.
>my backpack permanently gone
it's not tho. die a few more times and check your compass
On Yea Forums shilling is defined as any person making a thread about any game that Yea Forums isn't sucking off
He was my first death save actually
Was it the negro bird? They're serious business
MOTHERFUCKER
>go back to tutorial
>grab bow
>lock on (right stick) auto aim
>this is bull shit
>play around
>left stick 180 quick scope, can't possibly target
>try B "special attack"
>gives aiming icon
>ok great
>left stick doesn't change elevation
>mess around some more
to MANUALLY aim hold B use Right Stick to aim while MOVING with Left stick and keeping B depressed and aiming press and hold A to draw then release to fire keeping B depressed and aim on target with right stick
jesus christ I've never had a game with such ass controller function. can't even drop shit and without a third hand I don't think it's possible to use manual aim, my fucking hand hurts just from figuring it out.
GOTY
>using a controller
It's definitely made with PC in mind. Feel bad for the console players.
How do you recharge max mana?
It's good but devs are fucking mouthbreathers that didn't test the coop so it doesn't work.
That's why I've changed to kbm after 5 minutes of tutorial.
The only way I know currently is drinking Soothing Tea.
I always walk around with materials for 10 spike traps and have the setup on my skill bar, so basically that guy ran into like 8 traps at once and died
READ THREAD FAGGOT
I just want to sit back and comfy but even so you cannot move items nor drop items without KBM
Every time you cast a spell your max mana goes up a bit. It also goes up when you drink tea or down astral potions.
I'm playing couch coop with my gf right now. We're still very early in the game.
This feels like a game which just got out of early access. All the core mechanics are there, but there's a general feeling of stiffness that permeates throughout experience. Like it's missing that extra layer of polish you're used to in bigger budget games.
The closest comparison I can make is it's like playing the original Morrowind when it came out on Xbox. No mods, no expansions, no nothing. There's a whole lot to learn really fast along with some game-specific jank you need to get used to. The main difference is I've yet to experience any typical Bethesda-like bugs, so there's a nice step up.
Given that this game could have been early access trash instead of a finished product with a reduced price, it seems like a good deal to me. If it wasn't for the split screen multiplayer I wouldn't have bought it. But, seeing is how these games are hard to come by, it's a fairly good deal in my opinion.
What's the issue?
Controller is only partially supported on PC, it works fine on console.
Do you think this will be worth getting latter down the road, when it's on sale?
If I decide to play online coop, will me and the other person be able to do the same quests and get the same rewards?
Doubt it. It feels like the devs aren't going to support it longterm, especially if the sales are as shit as I think they'll be.
It'll be worth it on sale if you're currently on the fence about it.
Doesn't find the game no matter what and steam overlay joining doesn't work either.
it looks like dragons dogma from the lighting
Yes, but he won't progress in the story.
It is janky and unpolished, but the world is cool. Does not hold your hand in any sense.
I'm enjoying it so far.
So you can't finish a game while in coop?
As others have said, it'd be a great $20-25 game. Not at its current price point. They also need to do some balancing.
how could you look at this jank ass gameplay and EVER think any of it looks good?
Yeah, it has a really strong foundation and just needs polish and it would be a comy 7.5/10

The host can, but the guests questline remains where he was at before he joined. You can go through the whole thing with him though.
I think you can in splitscreen but not online.
i will kill anyone who makes this comparison, DD is a much better game and has far superior combat, say this again and I'll find your pawn and brine them.

I just said goodbye to my friends and the old hag adopted me and told to go to some place but the journal says I have to join a faction.
