What are some games this happened in aside from Donkey Kong Country?
I see you just played donkey kong country for the first time
what GAMES aside from DK?
>kill boss
>credits roll
>true final boss tears the credits off the screen
Xenosaga 2 does it for the final boss where there's the random encounter transition after you beat his first phase, but it's a pre-rendered post battle results screen so it'll be the same characters in the same order no matter who is active in your party.
Okami does this
>walk past bad guy onto elevator
>bad guy interrupts fake out credits and the rest of the game is easy and boring
>Fight boss in tutorial
>Literally wrecks your ship
>Shows up again later
>Fight boss again later
>After you deal enough damage to get the boss to begin retreating, the victory fanfare plays in place of the boss music, punctuating your overpowering the boss
>After you deal enough damage to get the boss to begin retreating, the victory fanfare plays in place of the boss music, punctuating your overpowering the boss
That's always the fucking tightest shit.
Yeah, I'm playing Sekiro too
>Usual fight music is instrumental
>Boss fight is the full version with lyrics
>Boss has destroyable weapons
>Destroying all the weapons ends a phase of the fight early
>Destroying all the weapons on the final phase unlocks a bonus, supercharged, secret phase
Name 3 besides Sekiro and DK
hollow knight does it once
>fight the same boss 3 times throughout the game
>the first 2 fights are forced losses
>defeat boss
>second phase starts
>song that played during the game's opening plays
I love Einhander
I was thinking of Quiet Minstrel in Hellsinker.
>kill boss
>it explodes
>you didn't run away or even know that they would explode
>die
