What do you want out of the next MGS game?
Snake, be careful, that's Apu, it's a different kind of frog from what you're used to. It was originally developed by as a codevelepod project with a finnish bureau during the cold war, from the blueprint of our own frog, Pepe, or SDFRG-01 as you know it. Just like Pepe it's a weapon used mainly for psychological warfare, but unlike Pepe it's supposed to evoke some sense of compassion in the target, something that eventually devolves into existential dread and depression. Don't let it hug you Snake, and don't hug it either, many of our own operatives being hugged by Apu have suffered of crushing, chronic depression, and have been later found dead in finnish saunas after having eaten too much Mämmi.
Remember, he's not your "fren", don't listen to him no matter what, focus on your mission.

From MGS? Nothing, its over. Metal Gear 1 and 2 on the other hand deserve a remake. MGR2 would be great too. Or something completely new set in the Metal Gear universe. Though I will miss Kojimas autism. I think there is still alot you can do with MG universe and it would be a shame to just let it die.

A story that is not a cluster fuck of autism. After 4 shit really went downhill story wise.
I don't understand this view that games and series need to just keep going forever, just make something new. This mentality is why we end up with sequel after sequel, and thena reboot without ever having a clear ending.
A mainline MGS game freed from Kojima's autism would be cool to see.

They dont, but why not make another game in the MG universe? There is alot you can still explore. As long as its fun I dont see a reason why it shouldnt continue.

Pick up where Peace Walker left of as a MH esque game.
Instead of dragging the MGS story any further just have a game where we can play as an Outer Heaven soldier and go out on missions to upgrade gear to do harder missions.
Basically make Survive but without zombies
I imagine it's over. But I wouldn't mind a spinoff of MGS about the Boss's exploits or a remaster of MG1 and MG2 as a two-part game.
Apparently that’s what 5 was supposed to be when it begin development, but Konami wanted a fixed protagonist and not just hordes of random soldiers so we got Venom and the rest of the ‘plot’ evolved from there.
I played mgs2 and 3 for the first time recently and I was expecting a great story but it was just heaps of cheese with the occasional hamfisted sociopolitical commentary. They're fun games but hideo kojima should not be writing scripts
