It's extremely basic and easily the least interesting of the entire series and that's saying a lot considering Dark Souls was fucking unfinished despite everyone kissing its ass.

Bloodborne>Dark Souls 2>Dark Souls 3>Demon's Souls>Dark Souls>Sekiro

Just to be clear Dark Souls 2 isn't a good Soulsborne game. It's a good King's Field sequel but at least it was finished.

Unironically the best game From has made. For the first time in the series its legitimately punishing and the combat has actual depth.
If it had weapons and build "paths" it would have more repeatability. Thats the only thing I think DS1 and BB do better than Sekiro. Lacking multiplayer I think is a great idea, MP balance totally fucking ruined the other Dark Souls games because PvP retards wouldnt stop complaining. It also removes the ability to cheese bosses with gank squads.
I like how theres an actual story and the character has a personality instead of being some random "chosen one" trope.
Overall:
Sekiro = Bloodborne > DS > DeS > DS2 > Power Gap > Fan Service 3

Because BB has fun pacing, a setting that really appeals to me, lots of memorable bosses, interesting mythology/lore and not in the vaati pseud kind of way. Its a great game. Sekiro's combat is so fun though that I put it on the same level.
Why do you dislike it?

It did what BB and DS3 tried to do but did it right. It didn't even attempt to be like DeS, DS1, or DS2.

Can't figure this out either.
DS2 made Lost Izalith look acceptable, had unarguably the worst hitboxes in its series, relied much more on multiple enemies to pad the difficulty. The list goes on.
Shit like enemies aggroing while resting at certain bonfires or the cleric class not even being able to 1h his starting weapon speaks volumes on how little they thought out some elements.
