lol, suck my dick FROM I barely managed to kill the first phase after trying for literal hours this shit is obnoxious
Lol, suck my dick FROM I barely managed to kill the first phase after trying for literal hours this shit is obnoxious
is that shit not kino though?
Can't believe they didn't give us a lightning combat art.
phase two is ironically easier than phase one
This. I killed him on my first go. Nigga has no posture.
Lol just wait until you have to fight him again along with the most difficult boss in the game back to back without any downtime
spoilers for final boss here:
>tfw final boss beat my ass so many times that I could always 100-0 Genichiro in like 30s from all the practice
Phase 2 is just phase 1 aside from the lightning slash, which can be reversed if you're in midair when it hits you and you press r1 before hitting the ground.
Genichiro is tough but once I understood the fight I had an absolute blast, almost didn't want it to end. Hang in there user, you got this.
All of the 'big story bosses' are so fucking good.
Gotta be aggressive you can break his posture in the first two phases really fast.
Last phase he will be a bit more reckless so it leaves you plenty of opportunities to damage him and break his posture. Just dodge the lightning and you are good.
Also on his first health bar he does a lot of thrust attacks so make sure to mikari counter. On his next health bar he will almost always sweep so get ready to press A twice and get a couple hits in.
I just beat him finally after like 10 tries. I did Shadowrush lunging stab-jump move by accident and it happened to make me reflect his lightning arrow back into his face
Saving that for DLC when we use a bell to go back to Tomoe's memories or something and she shows us true lightning fuckery. She was name-dropped far too often for this to not be a likely scenario
thats sick
i still cannot fathom how you guys are struggling with this dude. i beat him my first try and with one revive and with 3 heals left. hes pretty slow and gives you room to heal. just be aggressive.
You should try it with the Demon Bell & Kuro's Charm
what does kuros charm do and how do you get it?
demons bell only ups aggro range btw. it means nothing in a boss fight.
oh, well good to know. Kuro's charm is an NG+ item, it makes everything except a perfect deflect do chip damage
lol i literally just beat him on ng+ with kuros charm and the demons bell. 2 tries, but only because deflecting the ligtning is op
Same but I haven't even beat the second phase yet
I love that finisher
He kept bodying me because Kuro's charm makes his arrows deadly as fuck. Didn't do any lightning deflects on the 3rd phase tho
Just keep at it. Don't be afraid to burn some attack or defense sugars, they help.
How the fuck is your health that high already
>Get my ass handed by Madame Butterfly
>Finally beat her, no more "estus" left
>"kek no, second phase"
Thanks I hate it!
That's a fine quality webm, user. What are you using?
I'm on NG+ with the max health possible
Ninjutsu skills were so underwhelming, I thought we would be doing Naruto shit
I normally use ffmpeg but when I'm lazy I just cut the video and render it in Vegas 15 at the resolution I want then put it through video.online-convert.com
This game is easier than literally all of the souls games unless you're a complete fucking retard
>no posture regen
>turn lightning on him for maximum damage
lol?
its annoying to expect something and be wrong, but whether nor not they made it obvious that she had a second phase wouldn't have made a big difference. you'd probably still be out of heals after phase 1. you can take the time between phases to homeward idol out if you have no more heals too.
even without using lighting reversals hes a pushover. i got flat out hit by the lightning and stunned but i still beat him first try. dudes posture is super easy to wear down.
How does it compare to webm for retards?
he backed into a corner and I killed him too quick to catch lightning
lightning
reversal
>This game is easier than literally all of the souls games unless you're a complete fucking retard
Guess I'm a retard then
>fighting sword sage over and over, getting sloppy
>go take a break and explore
>stumble upon demon of hatred
>fuck my ass this guy is worse than sword sage
You just suck
Yes, it is
Demon of Hatred isn't too bad
It's always fun to finish off bosses with a special counter.
For Lady butterfly I had almost no health left on phase 2 and her posture was almost fully depleted, so I got ready to do the last wave of counters and she readies up a sweep attack. I panick jumped, managed to jump counter the sweep, and it even lead into a unique kill animation where the first stab down thrusted her into the ground befor she'd painfully get up for the finishing lunge
I feel like the arm was Sekiro's thing and anything else would have overshadowed it. Unfortunately, the arm's tools were situational and not needed most of the time. I think I got the most use out of firecrackers. usually just because I could.
My first playthrough I got my ass kicked by this guy for like 45m and then on my kill I fucking beasted him.
Ofc after beating the game now I'm sure I could go back and no-hit him on every phase but I was super proud of myself at the time.
I probably just need to sleep to be honest
If you use the prosthetic skilltree correctly, tools are very good, I mean, you can literally use the flame tool to engulf your sword in flames like it's dark souls
I can't believe the game has only one playstyle. Unless you want the game to be tedious and boring you pretty much have to play like a defensive dexfag.
I think Ashina is a really good gauge for how much better you are getting at the game, the first time you get destroyed, the second time it's a fight but you beat him, and by the end of the game he's a cakewalk. on NG+ he does ungodly damage though so any mistakes can kill you. I'm not excited to fight Isshin on this run
>Bothering to bone out
It's been tested and proven that rot doesn't kill, the few 'rot deaths' are scripted NPC deaths where they die 'of rot' whether they have it or not
See, I got the most use out of the Umbrella and some of the Feather. The Shurikens are also great for hitting cunts out of the air. The only tool I never really used was Sabimaru.
nah, there are multiple ways to play. you prothetic tools give you creativity once you upgrade them. you can even be a shield fag. in a fight you can experiment with delayed r1 or dodging where you aren't "supposed" to. lady butterfly is the best example of this. dodging instead of r1ing absolutely cheeses her, but you can still fight her like you are "supposed" to except by dodging instead of parrying or even by doing it completely "correct" and parrying her attacks instead of dodging.
>only way to master sekiro is perfect timing
>once you master that you are good
>different ways to cheese DaS
>master any of those methods and you are good
Is it just because I'm early in the game or does it stay this way and people saying DaS is harder are just inbred retards that can't manage one of twenty different ways to git gud at DaS?
>mfw down to 1 gourd
>mfw he fucking becomes fucking zeus and shits thunder bolts at me
What even happened to her? Tomoe went to the Divine Realm and left her physical body behind?
faster than dying, keep your coins and xp, save dragonrot heals for later. i actually want to do all the sidequests so im going to make sure i don't run out of heals at any point.
Parrying butterfly is a thousand times easier and you'll kill her when she still has 3/4 health in both phases because of how aggressive she is
Snake Eyes with the 100000000x more strict parry requirements than Genichiro. Not worth it for that shitty posture damage when I can just outpoke. Cheapestb oss.
webm for retards is much better because you can just tell it what you want the size to be in order to maximize quality. I should probably use it
Fight is kino af. If you´ve been spaming as in DS he rekts you. If you´ve trying to learn Sekiro system you can perfect him in 3-4 mins.
Genichiro is Rewarding: The boss
Also Genichiro did nothing wrong.
sekiro has cheese methods too e.g. lady butterfly. people will probably find them for other bosses. genichiro should be easy to cheese too since even an agressive newbie can btfo him.
This fight was pretty fucking kino
I had to go grab the umbrella tool then come back because it was to hard to parry his jumping arrows.
Looking for a broken and incompetent shinobi living in disgrace, huh?
Take this you cunt.
>be at hirata estate
>trying to kill 2 spear fucks after finding father
>keep dying
I can't perfect counter shit. That is why I didn't use guns in BB. That is why I didn't reposte in DaS. Is there any hope for me guys? Is Sekiro going to be the one From game I can't beat because my timing is shit?
Sekiro thread? I got the Phantom Kunai after a lot of farming and sadly they seem a bit underwhelming. I feel like the lowly enemies that die to them would have died to a regular Gouging Top anyways and the stronger enemies do not take enough damage from them. They also take 2 emblems instead of 1. Any of you have any experience with them? I only got them at the end of my last play session so maybe I just didn't use them enough.
I didn't even fight Genichiro yet by the way, I love how nonlinear this game is.
Mikiri counter.
does anyone know if there's a way to get back to the ledge you land on after you kill the sunken valley snake? the broken bridge over there has messed up collision and i fell straight through it into the lake before i could grab whatever item was over there
Ummm... sekirobabs?
Am I fucked lads? I've only died about 6 times so far, just killed the headless ape and the armoured warrior on the bridge. My issue is the sculptor is the only one with rot so far in my playthrough, no other NPCs have it because I've not died enough. Have I progressed the story too far or can I still salvage any sidequests?
What the fuck do the little circles above your HP mean? I know they're related to reviving, but I mean, sometimes I got one, then I die, and only have 1 until I fill it up by killing stuff, but I still can revive twice anyways?
I haven't really been able to find a use for any of the projectile tools besides killing dogs. it doesn't seem like any of the tools are worth using except for the flame one and the fire cracker.
>I didn't even fight Genichiro yet by the way, I love how nonlinear this game is.
lol have fun destroying him once you get around to him. if you've already gotten to the next boss that isn't genichiro or lady butterfly then you will be much more prepared for him than the devs intended.
webm for retards uses ffmpeg
I believe it's the cooldown on each one of your revives.
have full circle = can revive
no have full circle = no can revive
>not getting the plunging attack to take a bar off him
But I can still revive twice even with one circle.
>tfw fighting Owl 2 on NG+
I don’t know if I can do this, bros.
He takes such little posture damage.
The Umbrella is great for some enemies/areas. You can cheese the Headless with them and you can cheese the Gun Fort area by turtling with it. The R1 followup does crazy damage.
use the suzaku umbrella and parry his body slams. big damage
I think you need to deal at least one deathblow before a full circle revives you(except for the first one, which is always guaranteed)
But user, I did. That's why he only has one healthbar left.
you probably had two but you used one on your first revive. they don't show up as an empty meter after using them, they completely disappear.
Snake Eyes with the kara grabs, how appropiate.
I hate snake eyes, the one in the Gun Fort took me like 1 fucking hour to beat because of the shit camera, I was fuming, then next day I beat the one on the Abandoned Dungeon in the first try, unfuckingbelievable, fuck these guys.
>start getting old
>DS3 is kicking my ass
>need to summon on 70% of bosses just to beat them
>dread Sekiro since I know I'll get my ass beat
>it's actually easier and I have had no problems so far
I'll chalk it up to more OP/rewarding mechanics than a boomer burst of skill
Holy fuck Sword Saint was a rush of a boss. Took me two hours to get him down and win. Haven't fought Demon of Hatered yet, how is he by comparison?
>aggro range
Source on this?
Do you need any specific skill to do the fire attack after the Suzaku umbrella or the Confetti attack after the Purple Umbrella or is that default? I only have the Magnet Umbrella now. I have the basic skill to do the followup but I don't know if it will come out imbued with the element.
>second time getting to genicheerios second phase
>don't know any of his new attacks, just run away and jump whenever I see lightning
>zero HP and maxed posture
>still somehow win
ayy
It's the absolutely fucked risk/reward that does it, no reasonwhatsoever to risk getting guard broke when parrying her does fuck all posture damage.
it will always do those attacks, but similar to something like royalguard in DMC if you parry or absorb the right amount of damage with it the attack will be powered up. Once your character starts emitting smoke it means it's powered up but from my experience it can get really fucking high before release
>DaS3
>Hard
??? The only boss that gave me trouble was the Forgotten Son or whatever that guy's name was. Everything else in the game was piss easy.
I've always been pretty shit at parries in vidya aside from MGR and I eventually got there
Keep at it user, you got this
Nope. I’m in the same predicament, unlike the souls games you have tobuse parries or get fucked. Screw this game I’m too old for this twitchy reactive garbage gimmick.
Thank you.
s-stealth
He said he was getting old user, not that ds3 is hard
Can someone tell me if I'm supposed to be trying to whittle Corrupted Monk down to half HP before trying to bother with posture damage? Illusion ver.
>Haven't fought Demon of Hatered yet, how is he by comparison?
Cheaper than Sword Saint since you can't lock him in patterns and he has tons of fuck you attacks, but honestly, depends mostly on yourself.
I see tons of people who have troubles with Guardian Ape or Seven Spears but I just BTFO them with little effort.
i hate that area because fighting those guys in a group is ridiculous.
Im working him over for the first time too, and i assumed that what youre supposed to do
No one else having this issue? I guess I'll just throw myself off a cliff or something a few times and try to work it out. This game is incredible so far, one of froms best. A shame though that it feels punishing to not die enough
the game gets way more fun once you get a couple gourd seeds and that ability that gives you HP back on deathblow
You can hide and sneak up on most of them and get them 1 on 1. There's a little attic area you can jump on to get away
that was one of the most satisfying final bosses I've fought in a long time
Seriously, the beginning of the game is hell.
DO IT.
>see everyone's webms ITT of how they Mikiri counter Genichiro perfectly
shit is like wizardry to me
it will also carry over. so if you're fighting demon of hatred for example you dont need to release it on the same use. You can save it for when there's an opening. You can keep saving up for a big release but i found just using it to block his fire arm attacks and releasing after a body slam to be the most effective. on his third phase most of his perilous attacks will damage you anyway so you have to dodge them
OWARI DA
No it's goofy anime shit. Not even good anime shit, goofy anime shit at that.
Nigga just jump when you see lightning.
well I'm not gonna make webms of dashing into his sweep followup
that scene alone made the fight worthwhile
so fucking good
With time and practice you too will be able to enjoy those Sekino™ moments, user.
Remember, you're only casual if you give up.
anime
kino
watch RAN if you enjoyed Sekiro's setting and tone. disregard my last post I can't believe I mixed them up
no, it's definitely good anime shit
What exactly is The Immortal Oath? Was it what Genichiro was using?
>tfw poorfag/sonyfag
im gonna wait for a sale on this one, but knowing activision...
You just gotta practice it, user. After a while you just do it instinctively.
I think the immortal oath is the immortality that is bestowed by the divine heir. Genichiro didn't have access to this, so he used the rejuvenating water instead, although I'm not even sure what it is.
are you me user? I saved the screenshot myself as soon as I beat it. Such a liberating feeling.
I need to use that thing more, it looks cool as fuck. Only time I used it in my first playthrough was to walk across the bridge in the gun fort.
K I N O
I will never get over his pose after honorably executing Isshin
You can just spam Circle and towards him when you see the Kanji, assuming he's actually thristing which he will be doing in P1. Mikiri isn't a tight window in the slightest.
is this the sekino thread?
Every Sekiro thread is a Sekino thread.
>ROBERRRRT
>Try to search on youtube for Genichiro Ashina's theme
>Type "Genichro Ashina''
>One of top searched is "Genichiro Ashina easy"
I'm LMAOing at you Soulsborne shitters. LMAOING at you!
As long as you are still animating the dodge as he thrusts, you're in. You can do it late, but its iffy because too close and the counter doesn't activate. Hell, I've had Sekiro be in the recovery animation of a forward dodge and get the counter.
aye
Why can't I fuck her
Is it cheesing if you kill most mini-bosses the Dark Souls way by dodging and counter-poking? Justbeat the Drunkard doing nothing but attacking during his recovery, Posture be damned, since a slip up is death with this tiny ass health bar.
What is the horse whispering to his dying rider?
I just beat this guy after a few failed attempts. I got some perfect blocks on him and it was very satisfying.
How the FUCK does she get to the top of the Castle with Genichiro from the Delapidated Castle so fast
Tips for corrupted monk?
The stupid "shinobi shortcut"
>he doesn't know
There's a secret passage that goes from the Dilapidated Temple straight to Kuro's Room in the castle, you can use it once Genichiro is dead.
It'll piss you off when you find it..
jump up on the trees
you can take two bars off it by doing that quickly and then normally fighting the third phase
Whats with the centipedes?
Are they the cause of undying? Like the parasites in blade of the immortal?
Parry her shit and lock her into predictable patterns.
Yes, they are. Every time you kill an undying you also rip out the centipede and kill it.
guardian ape hitboxes
the centipedes are a false form of the dragon blood the monks made in an attempt to get immortality
>Are they the cause of undying? Like the parasites in blade of the immortal?
Exactly that.
spooky bugs that give immortality
IS THERE A CENTIPEDE INSIDE ME?
Her attacks wreck my posture tho
I'm so fucking bad at this game. I've tried like 30+ times to beat the armoured warrior.
>From couldn't animate a decapitated head for their final boss.
Lazy hacks.
No, you have the Immortal Oath from Kuro. Genuine Dragon Blood immortality. Not fake water centipede immortality.
You get to throat-fuck her.
The arm is absolutely broken, especially the shiriken and later kunai. Some bosses can be taken down to half hp just by spamming it.
Then run around and recover, she's slow as fuck, you shouldn't have problems especially if you keep your guard up to recover.
Alternatively, use Ichimonji, it fucks her up.
What the fuck is the icon next to the leafs?
I know the leafs are the resurrection timers.
That's the resurrection you get back upon rest, it's always the first one used
I love fighting these guys but not in groups fuck that shit
I beat him third try.
You know the gimmick right?
Fug. The idea of a centipede that large just living in a person...
The Ape's move set got weird and I was expecting it to be a shinobi marionetting it's corpse. Then that. Make me wonder if they just aren't outright controlling the undying.
Fuck this asshole in NG+, not even the secret one, the first one.
>A billion health.
>Never takes posture damage.
>Does more posture damage than a gorilla.
>Has identical looking attack patterns, some of which are safe to attack in and some get you fucked depending on which one RNG decided to use.
No... what is it? Do I knock him off the edge or something?
>Make me wonder if they just aren't outright controlling the undying.
Hanbei definitely isn't controlled by it, the mummified monks...well they're probably barely even human anymore, I guess it depends on how strong you are.
>if they just aren't outright controlling the undying
I don't think so.
The guy in the dilapidated temple that allows you to kill him over and over for training also has a centipede in him but he has free will, you can kill him once you get the mortal blade (he wants you to kill him).
Will we ever see a game from From that isn't fucking Soulstyle? Goddamn, it's all they ever do anymore.
Did you play Sekiro?
Yeah, Sekiro.
Can I use the Bloodsmoke to kill the fodder near to combat the seven spear assume with his boyfriend at the end of the game and get a deathblow?
Imagine Isshin on NG+7
>Ashina was a real place
what if there are immortal centipedemen among us right now?
Why do writers have a boner for immortals who want to die, isthere ever any that actually like it?
I beat butterfly in two tries easily but genichiro has killed me like 20 times
I can’t parry, never could in souls either. I beat the guy below him with the umbrella but run out of ammo on genichiro.
seven spear mini boss*
Usually villains want immortality, also he's a jaded Samurai who's "died" hundreds of times he probably just wants it to end. Doesn't look like he's exactly living a great life.
I know people say Sekiro is unoriginal/boring, but I thought Bloodborne's aesthetic was nice but it never really resonated with me like the yurop/weeb castles and architecture of DS/Sekiro. I have no great love for HP Lovecraft shit.
Its the best ninja tool imo, makes parrying some shit alot easier.
Living forever can become boring, user.
is there a different ending if i do NG + and i dont res and just die each time? i still havent gotten to the end of the game yet but i kept hearing about a different ending
i dont really see the point there but the purple one pretty good against those skull summoning shamans and headless ape
theres 4 endings but res doesnt affect any of them
Are you kidding me? Mikiri counter is probably one of the easiest countermoves in vidya. Even the deflect windows are big, Mikiri is huge.
Just press circle. If you don't see something bling in the middle he sweeps so just neutraljump.
>fighting Lone Shadow in the memory with his posse of wolves
>aggro nearby enemies by accident since there's no wall to the side anymore
That's fucking bs. Brought him down a health bar until I got gangbanged
There's four endings and rewards exclusive to some of them, but dying or dragonrot do not affect them.
>theres 4 endings
this game has 4 endings for real? what do they all have the same final boss?
This guy and Lady Butterfly gave me the most trouble so far. Every other boss I killed either 1st or 2nd try, but those two fucked me at least 5 times each.
>what do they all have the same final boss?
No, there's three different final bosses.
Who can I strip with the spear? The big fat guys I’ve seen so far are all basically naked
the 2nd phase is literally easier than the first lmao
also his arrow spam move is the only hard part of that entire fight
Pop a divine confetti and an akos sugar, run in with fire crackers and wail on him from the sides.
Fight instantly becomes a joke.
I wish I could strip and spear Emma
..haha
>No, there's three different final bosses.
this actually has me so pumped to play this more tonight do i get to keep all my upgrades from my first run?
>few hours to beat a big boss
>wow so hard
Y'all need to play shmups if you think souls games are sooo hard.
i dont think so. one of the few places you have to warp out
Some of the fat guys have armours, there's also one miniboss in the last part of the game with strippable armour.
tfw I had a ton of trouble with The Owl. After I beat him the whole game was pretty easy outside of 2monkey lmao
Okay, so what the fuck is wrong with the guys in the fountainhead palace? What is its deal in general?
>do i get to keep all my upgrades from my first run?
Yeah, outside of key items you retain every single thing, but the game also gets harder.
Leaders of dying nations abusing supernatural powers seems to be a thing for memazaki.
Yeah, you keep your upgrades. You even keep several key items.
There's only 2
sucking on young blood
I won this fight by sheer luck. I was just running around praying he wouldn’t hit me. I feel ashamed.
Sucking on immortal dragon piss, then polluting it for shits and giggles fucking up the villagers below.
now try the 2nd owl fight
>beat way of tomoe
>have to fight sword saint now
I never really had too much trouble with the game just the fact that you have to refight way of tomoe, really just turned me off.
That shit is so annoying. Fuck sword saint
disgusting jobber desu
They got corrupted and mutated by drinking the divine water or the tree and got turned into demi-immortal chinese ayylmaos who feed on other people, or even themselves.
Are they carps? Or dragons rather? Everyone in the game is obsessed with immortality so I just assumed they're fucked up monster people feeding off others. I mean the old woman basically tells you that.
I didn't need to use it there but that's the only other webm i have using it need to make more.
ok, there better be a fucking Sekiro 2 starring Wolf & the Divine Child in China. Return ending is by far the best, Purification close second
Wait, so what do I need to do to get the furthest ahead final true ending boss?
this game makes you feel stupid when you figure out how to beat a boss. it's not like Souls where there's a mechanical difficulty to the harder bosses, it's just like "oh, that's how you beat it, now I'll never die to it again".
>also his arrow spam move is the only hard part of that entire fight
Where he jumps up and immediately shoots 4x? I thought the whole fight was hard because I'm a noob, but it was definitely that move that hurt me the most every time
>game runs well enough
>except the castle area
>fighting this nigger at 5 fps
>he's not even that hard but my inputs are extremely delayed at random times
kill me
damn, why couldn't they make this guy the playable main character? looks more badass
>now I'll never die to it again
Stop asking for From sequels, GOD DAMMIT
>it's not like Souls where there's a mechanical difficulty to the harder bosses
What mechanical difficulty?
Rolling through patterns instead of parrying and farting fireballs/spamming R1?
>When he decides he's done fighting and fires at the ground to fry you like a chicken thigh
>try to beat Geni over and over
>eventually take a break and go exploring
>somehow make my way to sunken valley
>*distant gunshots*
>this doesn't look safe
>wait who the fuck-
>Snake eyes?
So these creepy doll/sculptures.. are they children?
I think the stretch after Snake Eyes is finally an action game with a harder gauntlet than Ninja Gaiden's archers.
Yo fuck snake eyes
Stadia early access?
Is the Shadowrush combat art worth it? I'm saving Skill Points for it but I don't know how good it will be.
this reminds me, what are some good animes set in feudal japan? ive seen samurai champloo and plan on watching ninja scroll after i finish berserk.
if you don't mikuri phase 2, you'll never win
He specifically wants to die so he can join his Lord or whoever he served, he feels like a cowardly failure for not being able to die alongside them.
Jizo statues are a real thing that you can google.
>Snake eyes
Oh, man. I absolutely loathed this mini-boss and then grew to absolutely love them since I learned to punish everything they threw at me. The gun fort never raised my blood so high just trying to get through a simple level. It was like Vietnam.
Ninja Scroll, Rurouni Kenshin and Basilisk Koga Ninpou Chou.
It wasn't that hard for me. But now I'm at the final boss. I've sat down twice today trying to beat it for many hours. So far I've only been able to get to the 3rd phase and there's 4. Cannot even make a dent in that 3rd phase. Not to mention I've only managed to get there 3-4 times
>mfw make it to the fucking gun fort
>snake eyes girl just keeps fucking gunning me down like a degenerate
alright how do you beat snek lady?
that's why you run past everything...like in dark souls
>All these fags getting filtered by japanese Sniper Wolf
Niggas just jump over there and set her on fire
She always follow up a kick by rifle shot, capitalize on that.
Also jump back from her grab attack, she doesn't do thrust or sweep attack so red letter is always a grab.
Just poke her to death after a two or three hit combo, you should stab her mid gunshot attempt. Parrying her is a waste of god damn time.
>find sniper lady in poison pit
>she 1 hit KO's me with every special
>weird as fuck thrust attack that is actually a grab
>cheese her
haha fuck you
>Had to fight a reskin of her later on
>Cannot even backstab her since I entered the area from the other side
She's fucking bullshit but I guess it wasn't that hard. Thank god for idols though. I would've complained in other souls games, but having an idol right next to certain bosses is a godsend
Her grab is fucking annoying. Either hop back or jump off of her to punish that shit. Also, after she does her little kick against you, she will always follow up with a shot from her rifle, so try to dodge it to punish while she's doing her animation to hold it as a staff again.
Just careful around her delayed swings and it should be easy to parry everything.
So I just beat the game and this is what I got
>dragon = immortal
>drinking dragon piss = become warped into a dragon-like abomination over time, have to succ others life to keep living
>having dragon blood = become "immortal", succ others life automatically when you start running low
But where do the centipedes come from?
Pure fucking kino, holy fuck.
>But where do the centipedes come from?
The monks created those.
Beat him first try. Didn't even know I was supposed to shove him off the ledge, it kinda just happened.
Centipedes are monks going
>let's take this diluted dragon piss and put it in a bug.
that's nice.
GITGUD
>Basilisk Koga Ninpou Chou
youtube.com
The only thing I remember about this is the opening.
>getting Mikiri countered by Owl
why can't from grasp the concept of new game plus? i just want to play the game again without worrying about upgrades and skill points, not get fucked in the ass with no lube. at least make the difficulty increase optional.
>constantly half-charging my attacks and then releasing at the last second because i remembered he can do that
>dude what if every boss fight was friede lmao
sekiro bosses get old fucking quick, especially the ones with 3 lifebars
he was easier than the two mini bosses in the tutorial zone
fuck seven spears
when are you supposed to fight him?
i had like 4 health upgrades and 6 flasks by the time i decide to fight him proper
felt kinda like cheating
>sip
>umbrella
>fan motion
>sip sip
lmfao I can almost hear the boss seething at you
HOW DO YOU BEAT THE PURPLE NINJA AT HIRATA ESTATE
there are some hints that her boss fight is not over, the guy outside the room warns about illusion and she doesn't use them in phase 1
jump off the cliff and hope the retard follows you
the best part about sekiro is that if you are good a boss fight can last 30 seconds, if you are shit it can last 15 minutes
Might as well get good because there's a couple dozen more of them and their older brothers you'll have to fight.
>Just do the thing at the precise time disregarding all of the distracting shit not to mention the tension the fight has created from the getgo
yeah you have to concentrate dude thats the point
Favorite Boss fight track? Mine has to be Owl, specifically for the second phase damn it's intense.
>precise time
>mikiri counter
What did he mean by this?
m8 the thrust counter has biggest timing window in this fucking game.
You can fight him right after horse guy. But after spending hours on Butterfly I went off to fight mini bosses and try to get better at combat. By the time I went back to him I'd been all over the map and beat him in 2 attempts.
>Genichiro is already virtually immortal, possesses lightning powers AND gets a mortal blade counterpart
>somehow STILL thinks he needs Kuro to win the war
What a fucking dumbass
i just bulldozed him with aggro attrition, backed the fuck into a corner as often as possible.
keep up the pressure, you can catch him trying to back up for a free hit often, his kit is really straightforward.
when he goes phase 2, he drops most of his faster attacks, opting for power kill moves. you can dodge around his moves super easy.
Deflect nigger, learn the timings, deflect. You're in for it since they get poison attacks later.
The centipedes are growing in the bottom of Fountainhead lake, I assume their eggs are in the Fountainhead water. Explains why the Guardian ape has a centipede
Nah the window is really forgiving.
wait, Kuro's charm makes the game harder?
I thought returning it to Kuro just deprived you of your ability to resurrect
>huge red neon sign appears above head
>can pretty much press B whenever the fuck you want during their animation and it will counter them
>precise
i could parry all of his arrow moves super easy, i guess that makes up for my utter inability to land the mikiri counter
which is why this fuck gave me so much trouble
Genichiro is the easiest boss in the game not counting monkeys.
He's absolutely a no thrills boss. You can deflect, block, or dodge him to death and has the most openings of any boss.
Returning the charm makes the game harder by adding chip damage and maybe some other shit. Haven't tried it myself yet.
looks like somthing i'd draw in highschool
Where do I get the umbrella? I'm fighting isshin and too scared to use firecrackers against him
i spend more time chasing purple monkey about like a brainlet not realising it was a puzzle boss than i did fighting genichiro
DaS is easier even without summons for a variety of reasons
>rolling is extremely good, the i-frames are insanely large. With the DWGR in 1 you might as well be invincible
>souls has a shitton of armor, weapons, and spells that can make encounters miles easier with things like defense stacking, poise stacking, etc.
>weapon buffs and stats in souls generally make you do way more damage per swing
>parry window is lenient and blocking with a good shield takes no stamina
>the ability to just level up a bit to increase your stats to overcome a hurdle is immense
The reason why the DLC for DS2, 3, and bloodborne is so hard compared to the main games is because the enemies are drastically overtuned as from assumes your character would be level 100+ by the time they do this DLC. Bosses in souls games are more stat checks than anything.
There are only a few souls bosses I would consider on par with sekiro bosses in difficulty, and they would be:
Orphan of Kos
Lawrence aka proto-hatred demon
Slave knight Gael
Pontiff Sulyvahn
Sister Friede (final phase)
Special mention to:
Sir Alonne, who despite being relatively simple is hard because he has a billion health
Fume Knight because of his large health pool and dumb hitboxes
if you're shit at timing, you can mash the block button and you'll get off deflects like crazy
as for mikiri counter, the window for mikiri is extremely lenient and it's essentially "neutral dodge into the attack"

Jōtatsu shimasu
Is Sabimaru low key the best prosthetic or does it just work on ghosts?
I used it on O'rin's back and it did about 30% of her health and 40% of her posture.
It's mostly just great for ghosts i think
>Sabimaru
What's that, user
the early part is easy once you retake stealth and then systematically ledge kill the snipers
How do I get to this part of the Palace? I already beat the Dragon.
You can grapple on top of the building where the Nobles were eating the Okami warrior women.
Go to the idol just before sanctuary, grapple onto the roof of the house, there should be a grapple point around that connects to that area I believe
Great for ghosts. Most prosthetics have certain enemies that its just fantastic against and then there's firecrackers and the shield that can be used pretty much everywhere.
holy shit living force + flame vent destroys waito piggu ogres
got to spear form on first try.
got to at least first form consistently.
now all of a sudden I cant even beat genichiro.
I have no fucking clue what happened. Demotivated me to not play the game for a few days plus I got back to back projects for school coming up anyway.
Thanks anons, that was where the fish I was looking for pot guy was too. oh god did I just kill it with his bait
he's just stuffed
say goodbye to it having any use, orin was literally its last call for me and I tried using it a lot for testing purposes.
the only hard part is his lightning has two different windup animations with very different timings, and its not exactly easy to practice against
>Ichimonji bros
Tell me your secrets, Gyoubu
This is the only boss I beat on my first attempt
>tfw had to use umbrella on isshin for wind
Only boss I used prosthetics on, I guess demon is gonna be similar for the fire bullshit
Any last boss pointers? I get so incredibly stressed over how long it is. My throat tightens up and my boomer eyes trick me when it comes to his patterns.
So what is the dragon exactly? why did it come from the west? does this tie into dark souls or a future from game?
>tomoe dlc
Nah they're going west to China to fight Sun Wukong.
MONKEY TROUBLE 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO
Do you think from was inspired by this monkey to makw guardian ape
ashona castle graveyard, jump down into the roof infront of the idol
Divine confetti works on her?
Anyone know what part I unlock that extra section below my skills in my inventory? I'm already at the kung-fu monk temple and it still hasn't unlocked for me.
Also, how do you beat that dumb fucking FAGGOT in the abandoned dungeon?
dont forget to find its corpse and revisit the guy by the fish bell to properly end the sidequest
This game is so much more fun on hard mode
You get those unlocked from 2 progression bosses and one is optional
Just got him after 4 tries. My heart was pounding the whole time.
>Also, how do you beat that dumb fucking FAGGOT in the abandoned dungeon?
4 Confettis, 5 pacifying agents, and R1 spam.
The shaman guy? You need the purple umbrella upgrade for it to not be total cancer. Same with the headless fights
Lmao when you get breath of life shadow and light this game is easy mode Bloodborne
>die due to the dumb instakill debuff + no res slug guys
>lose 7000 yen
how is this a good mechanic reee
>meet old lady & son
>do the bell quest
>end up stuck on Lady Butterfly for hours to the point that she and her son get sick
>do not progress the story until I beat Butterfly's parrying ass
>immediately remove dragonrot and rush back to old lady and son
>they're fucking dead
Where do I get this purple umbrella?
I think they die in early story progression anyway, they have no use beyond handing the bell
Genichiro is the true pleb filter. Nothing up to that point is as hard as that encounter and nothing until Sword Saint comes close.
monks made divine waters that cause immortality. turns out the water is actually rancid and has parasites that grow into bugs inside you and corrupt you.
Im pretty sure that they dont stack do they (the Bell and the lack of charm for ng+) ?
Sword Saint pushed my shit in for over 2 hours before I beat him. I had seen people say that Demon of Hatred was hard, but I beat him on my 4th try relatively comfortably. I did use the candies that enhance strength and then defense one for the final phase but he felt fairly easy. Maybe because he operated like a dark souls boss?
youtube.com
The aesthetics in this fight are pure kino desu
How do you pull the worm out of the monkey with the spear? Just knocked him down about 10 times and hitting him with it but it never worked.
How do you kill fishes that are too far underwater?
Two of the four endings are similar, the other two have exclusive bosses.
he was literally straight out of bloodborne, you could just hug his body. His only real annoying attack was the charge forward
you wait until you get the skill that lets you dive
What if SEKIRO is actually the bad guy? He goes around killing and murdering samurai that are only doing their duty and for clans that he has nothing to do with. His only mission is to get that fucking shota-kun (for reasons God knows why) and he pledged loyalty to that little boy like he's named Humbert Humbert and that boy is named Lolita. Why the fuck does he have to deal with a war that has nothing to do with him, and pledge loyalty to a literal shota-kun?
You can actually do it by just spamming attack over and over again until you hit that sweet spot. You need to draw them to the surface till they're visible and just hit them at around 5 or 6 feet away.
He's not the final boss right? I'm on him right now and I feel like I somehow skipped a lot of shit.
git gud scrub
You don't need it. Use divine confetti, run up to him and mash. You'll dispel his balls of terror. When he teleport run to the side to avoid his kamehameha or deflect it.
Should I kill him?
What's the point at which nothing more happens with him?
It’s the right thing to do
Why i can't take screenshot? its just turn blank. i'm play the pirated version
He's like first actual boss.
You get diving later in the game.
Is there anything new he can help you with after Mikiri Counter?
That’s because the entire world opens up pretty much after the bull
Nope. He's the point at which the plot actually starts.
Took me some tries but honestly kind of a boring fight
theres no extra training options beyond that so you’re good to kill him
I still don't know how to avoid his long range fire wave
yeah because you used the fucking crutch umbrella
Sprint right / left, Jump, Grapple
as long as you're not too close to him it works most of the time.
explain how to fight isshin before I throw a monitor
one mistake, one bad set of rng, you die. almost zero openings
oh and it's real fucking neato when you try to mikiri and still eat the spear, real fun.
I only have like 1 or 2 though, how many does it typically take? The one guy said like 4 or 5?
Where it's corpse in the lake?
WOOOOO AYYLMAO BLOODBORNE FROM DA WEST CORRUPT THE LIVE OF MEN. YELLOW MAN SHALL COME TO WESTERN TO DESTROY THE WHITE EVIL CULTURE. GET RICED BITCH!
Ah okay, thanks.
The grapple shit is broken, there's always something in the way and you can't do it even when it's green.
where you fought giant monkey
To the West of Japan is China tho.....
dont spoonfeed him reee
The first half of that anime was pretty great, too bad it was literally Romeo and Juliet in Japan.
Parry him in phase 1
Parry him and use firecrackers in phase 2
Parry and kill him in phase 3
grapples more trouble than its worth on that boss anyway
Remember all the unborn outer gods shit in Bloodborne? that how China got their AYYLMAO dragon
This is the moment where I felt my weeb fantasies truly realized.
Use the fan shield and parry his attacks, or just learn to mikari counter. It's good that you get practice fighting those faggots because they are literally everywhere near the end game.
Do you love your knifu Yea Forums?
You can down him in two, if you don't die that is.
>That LIGHTNING STRIKE
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, GODAAMN THAT FEEL SO GOOD
Returning the Lightning is such a fucking awesome idea
This and the corrupted monk are great.
You know that big attack that you would deflect and send him to the ground with? During that windup, you can yoink him.
It rapea the samurai in the palace
Any tips for beast of hatred?
>mfw this giant ass ape boss fight
>he proceeds to hump me to death
>hit that fucker with firecrackers
use fan when he jumps
I'm stuck on Owl(father)
I missed the thing on my first playthrough so I'm fighting him NG+ and this is literally impossible
his first phase is hard but then he gets that dumb owl spirit shit
Sword Saint was at least fair, this nigger is peak bullshit
Someone give me some tips
Dodge instead of parry his attacks. He's a literal dark souls boss. Use the umbrella for the jumps .
>tfw finally grasped the essence of combat mechanics during the fight with Owl
Slow and steady is the way bros. If Souls and Bloodborne still had an option of getting cheeky and greedy sometimes, Sekiro actually rewards you for being a weaboo katana man who stands meanacingly with his sword out. Or maybe I've just gotten used to games like that.
I'll actually need to use prosthetics now fuck
>unlearn dark souls habits
>have to relearn them
This is gonna be rough.
>That one enemy you just leave alone and sneak past
Who is it Yea Forums?
I tried to beat him 3 hours yesterday and gave up. Today I woke up really early and first tried it before going to work. Feels good
jump right when he rushes
For now it's the strawhat spear faggots.
Wouldn't mind taking them on alone BUT they're never fucking alone.
Varying up your strike timing is one of the first things I learned against Butterfly. Almost all enemies in the game have only a specific set of two or three usually weak moves after they deflect, but if you stop short of their limit of blocks before they do a deflect, they’re forced instead to do a different move. Often, like in that webm, it’s something with a long windup that is usually used at a farther difference, because most enemies ALSO have a hard rule that they will try to block or deflect as much as possible rather than take free hits unless it’s the appointed period after they use their unsafe attacks.
This strategy arguably trivializes a lot of the game and is how you can beat Butterfly in under a minute and a half, makes Genichiro an absolute cakewalk, and is one of the surprisingly easier ways to beat first phase of le monke consistently without doing the safe but boring runchad meme.
The game is very solvable, the fact that bosses react to your attacks is nice compared to the static sponges who couldn’t care less if you’re actually hitting them or not in dark souls, but the tradeoff is there will be much more ways to corral them into what you want them to do.
I got it, user. Never forget the protected skies.
He's impossible enough on the first run in my situation.
Fuck it I already got the prayer beads from the minibosses. It's the Return ending for me, snake puzzles are a lot less difficult than shitheel father bosses.
Consider this notion
Since the game is single player and based on a set character, DLC could have you play as different characters.
What if we got a DLC detailing Genichiros journey to get the other Mortal Blade, with his own moves, a few new skills, some replacement for the prosthetic like his bow, lightning, and some other shit I dunno. Imagine.
He's literally easier on the second phase.
1) His bird shit only has to be cared about after a few attacks and is comically easy to free roll.
2) His healing reaction is him shooting the bird and following it with an easy as shit to step on drill thrust.
The fight is almost the same in it's entirety with the exception that he now does easy to dodge overheads.
spent at least 90 minutes beating genichiro. felt like luck as much as skill when I finally did - luck that my parries were all timed right and luck that he didn't do the one move I struggled with - the in-air multi-arrows
the second phase was pretty easy though, i only need three attempts on it. first time the lightning caught me by surprise and i died immediately, which was cheap as shit desu
the fun of this game is that after beating a boss there's about 2 hours of fun exploration to do with easy combat
also dem monkeys were bizarrely easy
Don't even attempt to posture kill him. It doesn't work. He takes too little and has too much hp. He's an hp fight.
I guess I just need to grind out his phase 1 more
Any reccomended prosthetics/combat arts? I've been using double ichimonji since forever
How well do firecrackers work on him?
>which was cheap as shit desu
I don't blame you for dying to it, but come the fuck on, user. There was even fucking tutorial popup telling you how do deal with that shit before you even see it.
Shota is allowed to have one special adult friend at a time and they get his immortality. Genichiro is obsessed with protecting Ashina even though everyone else kinda sees the writing on the walls and is fine with just running and starting life anew while the Sengoku period comes to an end, even Isshin Ashina himself, but Genichiro is so buttmad about it he thinks becoming immortal will let him drive back the ‘interior ministries’ (Oda Nobunaga’s fucksquad)
He’s a right cunt though so Shota says no, he isn’t releasing Sekiro from it. Genichiro instead drinks from the ass sweat of shenron as gets a special form of immortality.
Why a younger version of Isshin crawls out of his shoulder and begrudgedly fights you as the final boss I have absolutely no fucking idea whatsoever
>any recommended prosthetics
Same as usual. Umbrella, flame (with oil), mist just in case.
Firecrackers would work but he has tool react that's faster to hit you than it takes for it to come out and you don't particularly get extra hits on the moments of vulnerability you'd regularly use it during.
If you have the last prosthetic art that lets you have a fire sword, then you'd oil him up and set him on fire so you can get free decent damage hits. If you don't, then don't use that.
>grab
>jump off her
Wait you can jump over perilous grabs? Can you jump over every grab?
Jump away from.
Prosthetic tree final combat art Living Force is the only good one.
Fighting Corrupted Monk is such a slog after the fun Orin of Water fight.
Flowing Strikes is fucking awesome. Thank you Diogenes.
Become better.
Is the h2h combat art good? Just got the text from temple.
well, broke my controller over isshin. Im honestly ok with dropping the game at this point. My free time week is up and its not really important to me anymore either.
Its the rice loli sweat
>see lightning windup
>jump straight up
>press r1
The fan rapes samurai.
>use fan
>samurai flips around
>backstab his inattentive bitch ass
Too bad it doesn't work on the longshadow clones, fuck those purple robed assholes.
>Just beat Genichiro and the boss right thereafter to fulfill my mission to Kuro
The only good combat arts are whirlwind, double Ichimongi, mortal draw and nightjar
The rest are just for styling. Though to be fair I haven’t unlocked the 9 cost ultra mega spaz out one in the ultimate skill tree.
Not him but
>crutch umbrella
The umbrella gives you more opportunities to do damage on an extremely small number of his attacks.
The apparition whistle is the real crutch item as you can bypass his entire final phase with yarashiku or w/e it's called that halves health and confetti.
If you didn't have the umbrella the fight is exactly the same, only you run away more from his fuck off fire.
You still avoid the floating flame balls
>can't search for teaware to be aesthetic
Does Nioh let me do that?
>Old Woman
>she came to try and free her Father
>The nobles feed on youth
>Yfw she wasnt old until very recently
How many skill tree does this game have? I currently have 4.
Whats the best place to farm exp for skills
I love it. Allows me to spot the "it's tedious and they are damage sponges" shitters easily.
>tfw grinded 10 attack points through the mask and still cant beat Isshin.
Whats the point of the mask if it gets you nowhere strength-wise.
Attack points is purely placebo. It actually does nothing.
Corrupted Monk, illusion version.
Imagine being so shit you think any Souls boss is hard.
I'll give you Demon from Below/Demon in Pain.
lmfao, extremely extremely easy and fast fight. Barely 2 minutes, even faster with Confetti and Firecrackers. I really hope you're joking, m8.
>Fire Umbrella in the game that specificially exists to counter fire enemies (aka Demon of Hatred)
>It's a crutch
You are retarded my dude.
Endgame enemies can give you over 1000exp. Keep progressing through the story and you'll get more exp. No point spending 30 minutes grinding the guys that give you 70exp.
I finally got it. It's amazing. Finally a combat art that is good and isn't boring ass Ichimonji. The amount of distance you cover with that stab is insane and it does a crap ton of damage. Excellent for those moments when a difficult enemy whiffs an attack that you can punish with health damage. It has the added bonus of looking kino as fuck and it throws you into the air, so if you manage to posture break someone with the stab you can do the plunging killing animation which looks very satisfying. It costs 2 emblems to use but I have so many in storage since the prosthetic tools are pretty situational.
It's official concept art that was in a museum. I'm not making it up.
2 minutes even when that guy in the video sucks at parrying, got hit like 30 times, and barely used combat arts or prosthetics at all. I mean Jesus, how fucking awful do you possibly have to be to think it's tedious, a damage sponge, or remotely a long fight?
>tfw fighting Owl (Forma Prima)
jesus christ he's literally sanic
Dororo
This game seems to love putting enemies with you in a small cramped space.
I used the lightning reflect 3 times in a row and absolutely destroyed this Isshin's third form. The second form had walled me for a couple hours, so satisfying to pull off. Thought literally 10 minutes before that it was useless
3rd form shoots lightning? damn maybe I do stand a chance against him.
>Nah the window is really forgiving.
Only sometimes it doesn't work when spamming, but usually just spamming circle works.
I just beat him and am calling it for the night, all I got left is Demon aaaaaaaa and the final boss and I'm good.
git gud
You have another entire area if you fought owl
Are you talking about after beating the first Owl or the one in Estates? Because literally everything else is cleared up to the bosses with the latter.
In my case it's my NG+ run and already did demon and saint.
I swear i can wipe the floor with parries and baiting for the castle owl, but estate owl jesus
Goddamn I just realized that Gachiin's Sugar is really useful for sneaking up on minibosses.
>ako's sugar gives you 1% more damage
>ungo's sugar gives you 1% more defense
>gokan's sugar gives you 1% more posture
>gachiin's sugar deletes a boss's first lifebar
I meant the first one
I assumed the game would end if it was the other one, didn't know you still were able to fight the demon and final boss
The sugar's last a really short time too for actual fights, it lasts so little time I barely notice the difference.
>gachiin's sugar deletes a boss's first lifebar
Wait, what? Doesn't sneak attack delete boss's first lifebar regardless?
thats what he means, he worded it poorly
Fucking this, out of nowhere Genichiro starts fucking whooping my ass for no reason
Probably a combination of frustration and not really taking Genichiro seriously
What does it do?
He's easy if you're focused and react, but still takes a fuckton of health if you slip up, and it doesn't bear well at all for the rest of the fight if you have to waste even one heal
Luckily he has some attacks that built up posture quick and are super free punishes, being tilted definitely hurts. I got demon to a sliver of health and died to a fireball, the pain in this game is real. I somehow managed to beat both tonight in a couple hours, feels like a miracle honestly.
Overconfidence breeds chaos!
>3 resurrection circles
>some huge fuckoff weapon art
>attacks visibly do more damage than mine
Maybe I shouldn't have attempted her before Genichiro.
Have you done any of the other endings on NG+ with backup save files?
How come this looks like a proper counter when every other person Ive seen fight this guy just stops at the sword stomping part?
I'm more surprised you beat the twin apes if CM is hard for you
Twin apes? I haven't even seen them.
I don't think you can even get to her before genichiro, assuming you are talking about the real one
I was talking about the illusion in Miba.
Apparently you need to kill a different boss first for it to spawn (guardian). It's hard as hell. May have chosen a different path had I known
That part is almost a "free" phase. The moment you get access to the lightning strikes is the moment you become the boss
Just understand the combat. He only used the combat art once and didn't use any of the resurrection charges. There's videos of people doing it with less stuff. Sure, these things help, but you don't really grind for bosses, you simply get better by doing other areas and coming back to the one you were having issues with like most people. Doing it early most likely meant you were just a huge shitter with the combat still, but had the desire to keep going forward enough to struggle through, hence the whole "it's tedious/damagesponge/long retardedness, because you most likely spent half the fights running away doing chip damage. Shitters can beat bosses early but will take them 20 minutes, even if they had better combat arts or vitality/resurrects at the time.
Because it's a deathblow, notice that the posture was maxed out. If the posture wasn't high he wouldn't be able to kill him.
Acquire prowess
Apparently drop rates are progression-gated. I farmed 19 Scrap Irons from the twinblade monks in Senpou very early on, there were no Scrap Magnetite drops. I killed Genichiro, and I went back to farming them and now they started dropping Magnetite reasonably often. The Demon Bell is a must for farming by the way, it makes some enemies drop guaranteed upgrade materials.
Does increasing attack after 14 even do that much?
Yeah I can see what you mean. I originally stopped at Genichiro after not being able to get through his second phase and went exploring other areas. With Corrupted Monk I was trying to get hits in to chip vitality when she left openings because she regenerated posture damage right away. I was assuming I'd need to get her to half HP for posture to start mattering and then died after a particularly long attempt and decided I was done for the night, after which I went back to Genichiro and mopped the floor with him.
I'll try again tonight.
>defeat the giant ape
>even says shinobi execution
>NOPE ONE MORE ROUND
The GOTCHA moments in this game are obnoxious.
seething
3 lives but you can get 2 by stealth jumping on her.
>With Corrupted Monk I was trying to get hits in to chip vitality when she left openings
Yeah that's a perfectly valid strat but people forget to also keep the pressure up. You gotta juggle both and not be afraid to get in there and perfect parry shit and also do the vitality damage when you can. Doing the whole chip damage to half health so posture goes down slowly works but will lengthen any boss by a long ass time because you're essentially doing two health bars, the posture and vitality, instead of attacking both at once aggressively whilst perfect parrying to not let your own posture get fucked in the process. And also gotta remember holding guard reduces your posture build up way faster.
Where is this corrupted monk boss fight?
just know that you arent alone and there should be nothing important there, some materials at best
Nigger, Isshin literally tells you about some immortality shit that even BEHEADING them won't kill it. Come on.
