Xion sucks
How many xeanorth are out there?
I tried posting this in the last thread, but it died before I could.
>They ruined the organization by making them way more edgy than they ever had been

And now for the big one -
>Every single chest that looks like it has something good in it just ends up being a stupid phone game.
When I see a chest I expect something good. It could be a torn page or Synthesis ingrediant, but no. 9 times out of 10 it's a game and watch game that I don't want to play.
I still liked the game, but it didn't really live up to 1 2 or 3D.
Gonna be honest and say that all those negatives sounds like pros for a kingdom hearts fan of they wouldn't mind them anyway.
That's not honest, you're just lying to yourself at that point.
......................who??
>>The Pixar levels didn't let you live out the story and just made up their own for the games sake
Why is this bad? I mean it's far better than the world just being the movie but with Sora, Donald and Goofy as background characters.
You see, you're taking out the factor that kingdom hears fans were most likely cringy emo's back in the day when it was big and kh3 it's like a return to their cringy teenage years.
COME FORTH, BLUE EYES WHITE DRAGON
How does that check out if they still adore 1 and 2, and sometimes the rest of the series? Isn't that just more proof that 3 is actually worse than the rest of them?
Never played the KH games until 3. The writing is obviously aimed at young kids and disney adult children, just the youngest of the young who want to play a jrpg and dumb gaijin who are too insecure about the genre. But the gameplay is pretty solid. Absolutely a 6.5/10 overall.
DARKNESS
I fail to see the connection here.
After recently finishing 3 and replaying the whole series, this is absolutely my favorite KH villain, although I have to give honorable mention to Xemnas for appealing to my teenage "cool" sensibilities when it first came out.
Old Man Xehanort is not cool and freaks me put. The character died with Nimoy.
You say they only liked 1 and 2 when they were cringy emos and now that they aren't they dislike the series. But everyone decrying 3 still holds the originals up as a bastion of quality, so obviously it's not them that changed, it's 3 that's not like the rest of the games.
I kind of like that format though. Being able to fight the villains was a part of what made Kingdom Hearts cool. They couldn't really use characters like Jafar if Aladdin had already dealt with him before Sora came. It's really less of a negative and more of an opinion, I suppose. It really wouldn't be so bad had they'd actually done something cool with Toy Story and Monster's Inc.
I also want to say that Frozen was possibly the most poorly handled world in the series. The "plot" goes on without you and Sora became WAY too attached to that one chick much too quickly. I'll take what they did to Toy Story over Frozen any day.
No i said that kingdom hearts 3 it's a nostalgia trip for their teenage years and so they are willing to overlook the flaws.
I loved that about KH though. KH 3 actually had me looking back on my life and I was happy to get to experience that goofy edginess again. Unfortunately they decided to crank things to 11. The organization isn't just edgy in 3, they're down-right parodies of who they were.
LIGHT
AND
DARKNESS
Did your character get a good ending?
WITHIN
Most fans that have been following the series autistically dislike 3 though, the only ones I've seen defend it are casual fans and newfags that jumped on the hype bandwagon.
>They ruined the organization by making them way more edgy than they ever had been
how?
>The dialogue was the worst the series had to offer
is this even something you can measure? kingdom hearts dialogue has always been written by aliens i barely noticed a change.
>The environment for every world was too big and almost entirely empty
you played kh 1 or 2 recently?
>All of the worlds feel very linear
agree. even pirates felt "open world" only in quotations. but linear isn't always a bad thing. kh has always had more or less linear levels, unless you count backtracking.
>The Pixar levels didn't let you live out the story and just made up their own for the games sake
this is a good thing? the frozen and tangled levels were just playing the movie, what's the fucking point of sora and the gang being there? i'd rather have them at least involved in some way rather than sora just saying "wow!" when he heard elsa sing.
>The final boss fight had no weight to it
your mileage may vary. i thought it was pretty hype, especially the last phases. the underwater part was shit tho.
>Mickey Mouse's voice sounded really weird the whole time
can't really fix that since wayne allwine died. if anything mickey took a huge downgrade as a character being relegated to sidekick status. i always liked him as someone working in the back with a bit more know-how than everyone else. now he's just riku's pal, i guess.
>They ruined Pooh Bear
how?
>Synthesis doesn't feel nearly as rewarding
grinding has never been rewarding
>Making meals felt like a waste of time
again, your mileage may vary but i really liked cooking. it was a nice break from the action.
>Every single chest that looks like it has something good in it just ends up being a stupid phone game.
games were a bit of a waste since i never played them and if i did i never missed out on anything important apparently. the bigger crime is making the frozen snowboarding segment mandatory for the ultima weapon.
I'm this user and I'm one of those people who you're referring to. The nostalgia didn't help save the game at all.
Humbly asking for proof of the poor rejection of kh3 by the fans.
everyone but the main three got a happy ending, why is this even a question
I don't have time to respond to all of these, but I'll try a few. BTW I've played both remixes in the last couple of years.
> the organization
They just made up a bunch of powers for them. It's like they could just do whatever was convenient for the writers.
>is this even something you can measure? kingdom hearts dialogue has always been written by aliens i barely noticed a change.
I'm talking more so about the organization and Sora. They just spew whatever the writers want them to say and not what's appropriate for the situation at times. More so than the last 2 main installments.
>The environment for every world was too big and almost entirely empty
You're tripping balls if you think that 1 and 2 are just as if not more empty than 3.
> linear isn't always a bad thing.
Fair point.
>The Pixar levels didn't let you live out the story and just made up their own for the games sake
See - >Mickey
His current VA sounds just fine in everything but KH3. I think he was trying to come off as more serious, but didn't really know how.
>Pooh
His world just sucks now. Total downgrade and no Tailess Donkey.
>grinding has never been rewarding
Doesn't change the fact that they've done better.
ok i believe you
I meant to say that I liked 3. It just wasn't handled as well as the remixes.
Eh the remixes were special editions constantly re released to be even more special than the one before, it's not really fair to compare the two.
where the fuck is the soundtrack
I think that it is. They should have known that people were expecting the same level of quality with 3 especially with how many new players were caught wind of this one being "the one". Overall 3 didn't have nearly as much work put into it as 1 or 2, but the gameplay is objectively better(they ruined the flow motion stuff from DDD though).
You damn well know the mouse had a gun to Nomura's head the entire time he was making the frozen world. No way he was gonna mess around in Disney's biggest Cash cow ever when the sequel was gonna be announced weeks later
The only thing that redeemed that world was the partner you get there and even then it's like he was just written out of the cutscenes or something. I would have rather just gotten an Elsa summon or something.
Come to think of it. One thing that KH3 did right was the summoning mechanic. It's actually worth summoning characters now and I love the dream eaters.
There's no way Color Splash apologists actually exist
