Is he right?
State of the Video Games Industry
of course he's right. companies aren't your friends
Wrong, only idiots defend shitty companies
I've been pointing this shit out for a long time already but it's pointless. Retards outnumber smart people by a huge margin.
>nintendo romsite backlash
>nintendo switch online backlash
>battlefield v
>fallout 76
>state of play backlash
I don't know seems like consumers are starting to push back against companies
>itt entitled manchildren
Are you saying there aren't a lot of idiots around to defend shitty companies?
Kohaku is very cute
> he only plays AAA garbage
> All games are aaa garbage
That's you isn't it? Oh fuck off cunt
Perhaps in a certain bubble but, you also have to be a certain kind of uninformed/retarded to actually fall for a lot of that bullshit
>Wrong, only idiots defend companies
Fixed
Completely correct, although it’s not just video games. You can see it in movies as well.
>implying weebs don't do it as well
It's games, movies, and even music.
A lot of people are genuinely corporate drones whose opinions should be ignored.
Show me the last time a Jap vidya company called their consumers entitled manchildren.
Hard mode: No Kamiya
What happened to the vidya industry is that it became controlled by corporations. The customer gets shit on because that's what corporations do.
It's not about words from companies, but consumers with their favourite corporations.
Op said "western", so he basically self-btfo and he's probably nintendo kid or sony pony.
Pretty sure he's talking about western consumers and their mindset on any corporation, western or no.
They destroyed our culture, our traditions and our identity. People are now the things they own. How often do you hear people talk about their aspirations? Their families? Things going on in their neighborhoods? They talk politics, about their new phones, what they watched on netflix etc.
Trees without roots.
I always tough that nips are heavily invested in snoy vs nintenbaby?
So a normalfag?
He's 100% right but he's a weeb, so I will disagree.
Is this post some kind of slightly early April Fool's Joke?
>explosion in extremist politics happens in the same era where people are leading empty lives because we're solely defined by what we own instead of intangible elements
I'm sure that's a coincidence!
>the customer is always right
lmao
>nintendo romsite backlash
lol where? Yea Forums?
Outside of this place, everyone was happy about this because of the "hackers are bad" thing.
two main causes: globalization and 'product as a service' model.
Globalization is bad for the consumer because corporations with enough money to access multiple markets understand that they can do so. This may seem straightforward but the consequence is a mentality of 'who cares what this group of players/customers want, we can just port this product to another region for little to no cost and rake in more money'.
Product as a service model double downs on this mentality. Under the premise of 'free to play' or 'free to try', they no longer see the customers who interact with them as such. Instead it's "if these people aren't happy, we just have to offer free shit to another group and they will pay instead". You can see this very easily in the mmo community, and its one of the main reason mmorpgs are dead as fuck. In the first gen mmos, every single customer mattered. They were worth a bare minimum of 15$ and they had the capacity to bring other 15$ users away from the product if they were unhappy. Now a days that isn't true. So what if your user is unhappy, so what if their entire guild is unhappy, just advertise your game as free to play on some br forum and get thousands of new players who might be satisfied with being treated like dog shit because 'its free teehee'.
Anyone who defends companies is a retard, but customers are fucked and morons.
There's a special kind of retard parasite that eats and nests and shits in the brain of the Consumer.
>early-to-mid 2000s
>millenials are decrying capitalism, headbanging to American idiot, calling Disney evil. A lot of these kids liberal
>get Democrat president in 2008
>corporations are good, everyone wants more Disney movies, rebel kids grow up into adult slaves
Basically, things change when you're in power. Liberals love corporations and government when they own it, and love when those companies agree with them.
Also this
>I don't know what the fuck happened
I do. It was GamerGate. Before that shitshow happened, Polygon was a C-list site and Kotaku was a joke. Then you flaming retards flooded those places and made their traffic skyrocket. And no, archived links don't do jack shit. They're nothing more than ads that draw in visitors looking for new outrage, not to mention someone clicked on those articles to get the link in the first place. GG showed the entire entertainment industry how to generate controversy without any of the usual risk.
Corporations can do whatever the fuck they want because if you don't buy their product, they'll call you a bigot and the only people who will have your back are actual bigots, who everyone seems to fucking ignore for some reason.
