Please tell me this game gets better. I just finished the first 'route'. It was so awful.
You can say I have shit standards but I genuinely thought that the first Extella's story was kino for what it was. Why the hell do they shoehorn in servants from FGO and F/0 into the story? They barely do or say anything, they're just kind of there. Why does the antagonist do nothing but spout random shit and why does he have a stupid mech?

It’s a musou game
What you get in the first five minutes is what you get for the entire game
I know what a musou is, I played through the first one and enjoyed it. I'm talking about the story mode.
>Why does the antagonist do nothing but spout random shit
He's a religious zealot, what did you expect? He is OP as fuck though, beat all the extra missions with him.
Fate is a shit franchise and it only exists to milk you and waste your time.
can somebody actually answer my question please desu, i don't care if you don't like the fate franchise, you don't need to reply
This came across to me as a gameplay first sequel, mainly focusing on adding in popular characters and refining existing material.
Nothing Fate has been that good after the original trilogy anyways
I agree but I had a soft spot for the Extra universe. Looks like they stopped giving a shit about that either nowadays
I tired Extra. I found the opening prologue of playing as an nameless NPC downright fascinating but got bored of the combat and persona-ish structure. Now my computer's dead and I'll have to start over. Is it worth if I just want to see Nasu write a story or is there that little to Extra compared to his best works?
I enjoyed it but the gameplay is very repetitive yeah, story doesn't really hold a candle to F/SN but I liked the atmosphere, CCC looks like it's better but it never got translated unfortunately
>try out some of the starting characters
>okay they seem pretty normal and average
>Try out Archer
Goddam Archer slow the fuck down! Give them a second to breath! Have mercy on their souls!
Wait til you play an actual chad like Karna.
DO higher difficulties get you better rewards for completing missions?
>female swimsuit DLC is $2 each
>male swimsuit DLC is $1 each
cheeky cunts
>in FSN, bitches about never getting to be a hero after signing on with the Counter Force
>gets to fight ON the Moon and battle his way throughout history in EXTRA and FGO
I can’t help but feel that this diluted his arc in UBW and HF.
How much is Astolfo’s?
I would argue that shit on the Moon essentially doesn't count since it's kind of outside the timeline.

>Extella Link is a side story that is not treated as a direct sequel to Extella. Basically, Nasu and Marvelous thought that having a main storyline was restricting on the character availability that you can use so they made a comparatively story-free game that takes place between Extella's true ending and its real sequel. You can use whatever character you like to clear the game because there's little story.
>The "little story" it does have is supposed to be: "We just happened to visit this one area but were thrown into an internal conflict! Now we must adventure together with a mysterious prince to resolve the fight."
To be fair, even
>Nero's Cu, Nameless, Li Shuwen, Gawain
>Tamamo's Lu Bu, Medusa, Karna, Elizabeth
>Altera's Gil, Iskandar, Jeanne
didn't have much bearing in the original Extella, much like how everyone takes a backseat to Charliemange. There's not heavy VN segments, but the story can be enjoyable for how simple it is in tandem with actually good gameplay. Karna vs. Arjuna was cool, don't lie.
Easier to get α, and later Σ, Install Skills.
$3
>fujobait
>chad
Holy shit. Really?
Extra Archer is not Emiya
What mission do I need to do to unlock Darius? Or is clearing the story once required to get him, Lancelot, and Drake?
No, it's $2
I didn't know that, I thought it was a direct sequel, thanks for the clarification. And yeah, that fight was ok.
>"Extella's story was kino"
Umufag spotted
actually I liked it because of Altera's and Tamamo's route
fate sucks
Day 6 on the 1st/top path, one of them should give you Darius in Extra Battle Mode.

Forgot the stage name off the top of my head, and you can check which stages unlocks characters; it shouldn't be too hard to narrow down where everyone is based on class (total of 3 Berserkers).
Once you obtain an ending, you get Free Select which lets you use Extra Battle characters in the Story Mode.
They really bungled making Altera the next big Saber, didn’t they? Her actual size notwithstanding.
Her FGO art is so much worse than Wada's version
so did they make Nameless better than in umbral star because he kinda sucked there. I dont like that Link spaid Tamamo's combat prowress
I think the artist that designed the Steins;Gate characters drew her art in FGO
Play FGO if you want the authentic Fate experience. Musou is fucking trash.
modern fate writting is garbage and the gameplay of the game are the most boring trash ever to acomodate FGO fags. since mobile faggots can't play an actual video game. even the arcade game was trash to the point they had to bait people with a new FGO servant to play that trash
My thanks.
The story and villain are definitely better than the first though. First Extella was plain retarded, this one is just super barebones.
>Why the hell do they shoehorn in servants from FGO and F/0 into the story?
Because that's what Fate has become after FGO. Pure trash where they only shove as many Servants as possible to appeal to as wide of an audience as possible. It lost all its focus and meaning since FGO became a huge success.
what they did in Altera and Tamamo's routes was retarded and I hated every minute of it
I only play these games for Nero. Also fuck plants and the guy who came up with them.
The story took a backseat compared to refining the gameplay to actually make it fun and make the character models actually appealing to looking.
Yeah, it's kind of annoying it's more of a spinoff story instead of being a direct follow-up from Extella in terms of narrative, but I'm honestly fine with this approach provided the eventual Extella sequel is able to incorporate all the good from Link.
>no bath scenes
>no crawling on giant atilla
>instead, we get 15 lines per stand
>and some bull that irl Charlie found part of Atilla and gained the assimilation virus when the moon summoned him
Lanecelot is fuckkin cool with his smgs, tomygun, and fighter jet tho
They said for ages before the JAPANESE release which was literally YEARS ago that Extella Link's story is peripheral and focuses on the musou "gameplay" dumbass, what did you expect
>playing a musou for the story
kek
>weird pseudo side story sequel stuff
ah, that's why Atilla is saved in her larval form but Hakuno doesnt remember Archimedies
Thanks
>but I genuinely thought that the first Extella's story was kino for what it was
Nigger what? It was probably the worst written game in the entire Fate franchise. Hell, making Nero and especially Tamamo less important to the story already makes Link better than Extella.
Extra Emiya isn't FSN Emiya. Hell, Shirou in Extra had white hair from the start.
>Nero route bad
>Tamamo route good
>aaaaah husband I love you please fuck me I want you all to myself
user I hate Nero as well but praising Tamamo while doing so makes you a massive hypocrite.
imagine being such a cuk to like Berzerker, the most niggardly of classes
>violent retards too dumb to even speak
>wont even follow the HGW rules and will take your mana without helping you
>will get a Ruler called on you so you dont cause extreme damage, sealing the Berzerker and turning you into an NPC
>needs extreme amounts of mana just to have them follow simple commands. liable to kill you via mana depletion
>will not gain Bond xp because its just a blood thirsty sword of damocles
