Square Enix added denuvo to FFX/X-2

Square Enix added denuvo to FFX/X-2

wtf is wrong with them ? Game came out years ago

>nearly 3 years after its 4th rerelease
?????????????????????

between Final Fantasy 15, DMCV and this, do japanese people even understand at all what Denuvo is for? or they just think it makes pirate copies disappear once they slap it on the game?

If S-E was competent it wouldn't be S-E.

now it will sell more

All I care about is juicy Yuna booty

I think they are just testing stuff for upcoming games

>upcoming games
>after ffxv flopped, kh3 just came out, ff7 was confirmed iceboxed, and the only thing being worked on is the xiv expansion that doesn't need denuvo to begin with

Yeah this is the Square I know of. They're absolutely retarded when it comes to making good consumer decisions. And so while Capcom is trying to redeem their global image Square keeps flushing it down the toilet.

are you trying to say that SE won't releasing other games ever again?

not in the immediate future to where putting denuvo on a 28 year old game would be necessary for testing

Well wasn't FFX-3 suppose to be a thing soon? They probably want zoomers to pay money for the previous entries.

damn right

You kitten? I literally have to pirate FFX now if I ever get the desire to play it before a trip out. I simply don't know why they did this.

They realize it's one of the worst FFs and want to prevent people from playing it.

Isn't the point of DRM to make the game harder to pirate before release or something?

yeah and historically it has almost always failed. games like disgaea 5 and ffxv were fully cracked before they even launched because of the way the demo was packaged so they spent an extra few months putting drm on it only to have it be broken day 1 anyway

Fucking glorious. I wanna motorboat her butt.

they surely gain something from doing it, look the game is now fucked because they don't have any idea how to install DRM on their games. they will learn from it for future releases, think of it like a training.

exactly why I said they are testing things, because they don't care about people who played the game that has been released 3 years ago, the sale already dead, you are all become their guinea pigs

Huh. Assuming this is legit, I can't be fucked to check right now, I might see about getting a refund based on this just to send a message. I have the original PS2 versions and someone got me the PS4 edition for the holidays. It's just been sat unplayed in my steam list.

Its not Denuvo
Also its entirely possible the always online thing right now is an accident

How do you accidentally add always online to a game?

Retarded suits calling the shots have no fucking idea what they are doing
On other news, water is wet

>adding denuvo when the game hasn't had DRM for years because it'll stop pieracy according to some russian snake oil salesman
Japanese executives aren't known for being very good businessmen.

the fuck is this thing

The future holster of my semen

>Japanese executives aren't known for being very good businessmen.

and thank god for that
if they were they would only make multiplayer games like here in the west

Why advertise your inexperience with women?

Maybe I am a dumb fuck and I don't understand anything, but what's the fucking point if you could just pirate an earlier version of the game and play it?

>Pirate the game
>Square Enix notice
>Waaah why do they add DRM? Let my pirate

>online only drm
>on an 100% single player game with 0 online features
That makes sense

For those who wanted to be able to find more of this semen demon.

>japs can't into pc
what else is new?

Post yfw you pirated it before they added Denuvo

Have out-of-touch suits finally gone too far?

@456011140
DON'T SPOONFEED THEM YOU FUCKING ASSCLOWN

What does this even accomplish? It doesn't make any cracked pre-Denuvo versions disappear.

>Valve announces DRM complaints won't be counted towards review score
>This happens immediately
Really makes you think

Attached: 12649856196451.png (512x512, 31K)

she gotta jaw like freddie damn mercury

Don't stop me now

Attached: 1553627552229.jpg (500x540, 39K)

that's what they think. Valve can't screen every single review, and I can review other things negatively and dedicate a section talking about the DRM.

Which is exactly what's going to happen for a far larger number of people.

>add always-online DRM after the game has already been pirated for like 3 years

Who was the big brain that thought this made any sense? I thought that the japs were supposed to be smart.

Sonyfags are making fun of us again!!!

Yes, they literally think that. They also believe that the internet is evil because that's where all the pirates are.

...why would you bother putting DRM on a game 3 years after its steam release after it's already been cracked and uploaded to various pirate websites?

I didn't think SE was THAT retarded.

How will it sell more when the DRM, there to protect a game from being cracked in the early days of release and pirated, wasn't implemented until after it was already cracked?

Someone might want to tell Square that the game has been out long enough for anyone who actually wants the game would have already gotten it.

It seems to almost always come from Japanese companies though. I swear they are the most tech illiterate big-wigs in the world who don't take the time to learn new standards or observe their communities. It's ironic considering how technical Japan is.

>They also believe that the internet is evil because that's where all the pirates are.
Well I mean unless we're talking about Hong Kong replica sales, it kinda is the place.

Lol what a faggot. The retarded shit he says never end huh.

Devs do, investors don't.

i just know the fact that xbox and switch are getting this, is the reason.

Fake news (about Denuvo). They just fucked up steam integration
Steam

>They just fucked up steam integration
That wouldn't even surprise me coming from SE.
