Whether you like it or not, the Epic Game Store is gonna succeed...

Whether you like it or not, the Epic Game Store is gonna succeed, and no amount of boycotting or whining is gonna change that.

That's what you get when you don't curate your store properly.

Do we really need more of these threads Tim? The shilling is getting tiresome.

Dude a friend told me it's working. It's gotta be true.

That's fine. I don't have to use it, though.

Nobody likes you, Sweeney

>Everyone is undercutting Valve's cut
>Valve doesn't even need to lower theirs to compete
>Somehow Valve drones think by enabling Valve to the point of being non-competitive that it's good for consumers, while lambasting Epic and to a lesser extent the other storefronts for literally not being Steam

Really makes ya think

I ain't buying nVidia cards, so vote with your wallets.

>why nvidia
nVidia/EPIC are partners and they develop for each other, exclusively. Given the nVidia monopoly on GPU, EPIC is now stated to take over Valve.

Good luck PC gamers.

Huh? What are you getting at? How is that gonna stop Nvidia users from using Steam?

If they actually prevented Nvidia cards from working on Steam games lol.

Under normal circumstances I'd tell you to enjoy your garbage budget hardware, but the RTX series is a giant fucking joke so fuck all of the big players, honestly.

Opposite, nVidia/EPIC will use their marketshare to take shares from Valve just like they did with AMD.

maybe Valve doesn't want to lower their cut because they want to maintain regional pricing. Epic never had it, and GOG got rid of it once they lowered their cut. Sweeney even outright said regional pricing is unworkable with the cut they take.

It's almost like the 30% cut is actually better for consumers than immediately meets the eye.

Epic's first step to being relevant on the market is blackmailing their consumers, how does this give you the picture of a user friendly company?

Link to sources?

Source for what? nVidia/EPIC partnership thats been in development for decades? All you have to do is google, its right on both of their respective websites. Both of them advertise their partnership, both of them develop their respect software/hardware with each other.

You mean with the Unreal Engine?

Right? Is that is?

Jesus christ I hate Epic too but quit the hyperbole.

China numba one!

>"succeeding" because a bunch of children playing a fucking dumbed down BR game supports your shitty store
hahahaha

Epic does not take orders from *looks at Mandarin script* Tenchent.

How is that hyperbole? EPIC's main business was Unreal Engine. Unreal Engine bakes in nVidia proprietary software and nVidia exclusive features. Both of them partner with each other to advertise each other. With both of them funding games for their respective platform(gpu/engine), they both push away their competitors. With lot of new games using Unreal Engine, it completely kills AMD's performance, barely utilizing their cards correctly since UE develops with nVidia partnership. Two companies working together to kill a hardware company and a software company.

The question is why they are now targeting Valve and the answer is multiple opportunities align. Expansion of this partnership, killing Valve reduces Valve's influence on hardware agnostic development, grabbing newer devs to jump on nVidia/UE4 ecosystem and so on.

fuck I can't believe how ugly this guy is, it's like you crossbred pig and chameleon

As much as I hate to admit it, he's right. Steam should have stoped flooding it's store with shovelware. You literally have to climb through a mountain of shit to get to the good games. Epic is made of faggots but they are acting smarter than Gaben right now and nobody at Valve seems to know what to do.

I wonder if any anti-competitive action was taken by this partnership.

How are they blackmailing consumers exactly?

>You literally have to climb through a mountain of shit to get to the good games
name one good game you found on Steam solely through browsing the catalog rather than word of mouth, the front page, or the recommendation feed

OHNONONO HAHAHA

>take lower cut
>don't lower prices
fuck off

Does anyone really use the stores to look for games? I just hear about whether the game is shit or not elsewhere and just buy it based on that. Otherwise I pirate games I would never had heard of by hearing about it from the hundreds of threads complaining they put denuvo on it

Only people with too much disposable income/free time/ADHD who buy a game every other day

Fuck off Tim. 仆街

>You literally have to climb through a mountain of shit to get to the good games.
Bull-fucking-shit. You have to go specifically searching for garbage to find it.

>Search
>Top sellers
>Or in order of review percentages
WOW THIS WAS FUCKING HARD

This

I came across Slay The Spire because of Steam's Top Sellers, and the game specifically looks like garbage but is actually a lot of fun. It's a perfect example of if Steam tightly controlled what games were allowed on the platform, this game would have been denied access.

>the Epic Game Store is gonna succeed
it doesn't even have the same basic functionality as Origin did at launch
fuck off shill

Sorry Hardware Agnostic Development?

What the fuck are you going on about?

Baba Is You is probably the king of this, no way would a game like that exist on Epic

Good luck, Tim, but curation is hard.

>curate your store properly
gimme 1 reason to

>a product that offers literally nothing is going to succeed
General consumers gained nothing from this epic shit.
