Barely anyone ever used the full 5LLL auto combo string, just LL at most on the ground. jLL is more commonly used, but it's just LM with an added air auto correct instead of a unique normal like 5LL.

Everyone's combos have gaps. The problem that most players encounter is that they think they can interrupt their opponents combo with a jab.

In reality, they only have enough time to input an invincible start up move. (I.e. a shoryu-like special, sparkling, a vanish, or a level 3.) A reflect would also work in theory but it's the riskiest option.

Once you learn that you'll find that characters with a lot of blockstun are now easily defeated.

They didn't actually remove the stupidly long blockstrings then

its a fighting game, not xenoverse db simulator, you need to learn this and spend serious time, offline content is pretty much non existent compared to xenoverse/tenkaichi/etc you just have a story mode which is leveling up characters in a map through simple battles and then watching some cutscenes

Gohan got another slap on the wrist, but Bardock actually received a buff to his Level 1 that gives him better Z Change setups which is better than the incrementally small nerf to his Level 3 (which has been toned down in EVERY PATCH and is still arguably the game's best Level 3).

At least Cooler can 3H into 5S and gets + frames after his divekick on block.

Any team tag game should have a Snapback equivalent and every team tag game with a Snapback equivalent revolves around it unless damage is high enough to kill in 1-2 hits consistently. If damage was lower in Marvel 3 it would've been a Snapback meta too, because incoming mixups were insane in that game. People just didn't use them unless they were fighting Phoenix or running a Firebrand or Viper/Ammy/Doom team because you can generally kill off of most hits and get both the character advantage and an incoming anyway.

At least DBFZ locks Snapbacks behind an odd move like Dragon Rush that requires unoptimal combo routes to get off rather than having it be a 2F startup move that you can cancel just about anything into. If things really get bad even with the Guard Cancel buffs and meter penalty for Snap oki supers then all ArcSys needs to do is make Snaps cost 1 bar.

SS Goku is his friend. Good for confirms, gives him more turns (something he has plenty of now already with his plus divekick), and Cooler Level 1 into Goku Level 3 double side switches so you keep the corner.

Beyond that, anybody that can benefit from the DP assist and Goku assist works. Cooler doesn't really call for specific kinds of assists. Dogura runs Kid Buu/Cooler/SS Goku.

His medium lightning legs get nerfed pretty hard and his light lightning legs got nerfed and buffed, a slight net negative. His 5 strike is so much better now though, he's got 5LL mix and his 2L has better range. Basically a small sacrifice to combos and meter for better neutral, mix and carry.

It is.

They sped up animations on Smashes to make the game faster without actually making changing to the game's pace. Smart way to deal with complaints that games take too long.

Characters spike faster so it's less time spent on that, it helps.
