Better starting game than the first, but I did enjoy a few of the extra modes they added in D1 to mix it up. Hopefully they'll return in some form. You can play with friends or alone, I prefer to do all the side shit solo.
Only downside is they need to fix skills at the moment though, bit of a balance issue at end-game but PVE is fine.

I've never been bothered about cosmetics but this actually shocked me because they have an 'apparel' store and the items on the store are worse than what you find in-game. Doesn't even make sense

Same, they have some more interesting places you go to but it's the same combat. There's zero story though, not that anyone cared about the story before.
