WTF
Already released?
Pre-download is out in Japan already, so probably soon-ish.
Nah, comes out on the 5th.
>No STEAM page
mmm...
>3 Gokus
It's shit
1 less than FighterZ
>3
There are way, way, way, WAY more Gokus in Heroes than just 3.
is it a card game? if so it goes in the trash
I mean, 3 Gokus in a promocional picture. It's fucking insane. I know Heroes is full of Gokus.
Op here,
I got my copy today, game is pretry fun so far.
Can show pics if anyone is interessted. Gotta leave for work soon though.
It is, but the gameplay is a bit more active than other card games. You have to physically move cards around and shuffle them into different positions and whatnot. It's definitely more engaging than just playing cards.
How did yours arrive early? Did it fall off the back of a truck?
What about the story mode?
>physically move cards around and shuffle them into different positions and whatnot
In real time?
Also does anyone know if the likes of Yamcha, Piccolo, Krillin etc are pretty viable for the main story (if there is even one) in Heroes games? I'm not big on all the crazy fusions/transformations that Heroes seems to promote, I'll mess around with them a little but I still like my OG cast
No idea niggi, i pre ordered it and bought another game on the same site last night and both arrived together today.
Turn based. All cards have different stats and abilites that combo into eachother.
WHERE THE FUCK IS THE STEAM PAGE
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>In real time?
Somewhat. You're not doing it constantly, as that would be too much, but every turn you physically re-position your cards, and most good cards will have some kind of secondary or even tertiary effect that will ask you to do some sort of movement with the card. For instance, if the character can turn into a Great Ape of some sort, and you fulfill the turn condition, it will ask you to spin the card around in circles until a meter fills up. Or if you have two characters that fulfill conditions for a fusion dance, you'll grab both of them and move them to designated locations to simulate the dance, whereupon they will turn into a single, very powerful card.
As for your other question, it depends on the card. Piccolo definitely has some good cards, including some neat team builds you can do with him where he can repeatedly absorb other Namekians on your team to get huge power buffs, but the good ones tend to be more rare.
However, in the main story mode, you can assign accessories to different cards in order to give them wildly different effects, such as being able to shoot a God Kamehameha, summon giant characters like Hirudegarn for an attack, or really weird shit like transforming into Omega Shenron. Also accessories that give general buffs and perks. They won't count in versus modes and probably won't count in the regular arcade that adapts the stages from the physical arcade machines, but in story and creation modes, they will.
Oh yeah, and there's a card creation mode where you can make whatever Yamcha card you want.
youtube.com
What site?
Not having much luck with pulls so far
Japan doesn't have the Steam version, only Switch.
HOW THE HELL???
What mode are you playing? Also, did you get the Hero Edition, or was it just standard? I know gamestop pre-orders are all supposed to be Hero edition, but that might be a store exclusive.
Nothing wrong with Toppo if you use him wisely, though you still need Jiren and Dyspo to use that card's full potential.
Got the hero edition with the physical cards.
Can't access the in-game stuff though since that needs the servers, which currently aren't up.
Just pulled Dyspo, fingers crossed for Jiren later haha
Anyone need any pics?
Currently at the 2nd level, after like 30 minutes of tutorials, they're all skipable though.
Also seems to be Jap Dub only.
Well by the time the servers are up, you'll have way better cards than the hero edition grants anyway, I'm sure.
Are Arcade and Story separate in this like they were in Ultimate Mission X? Or is it too early to tell? I'm guessing they throw you into Story Mode as soon as you start a new save file?
Arcade and story are seperate modes, you also have 2 different deckbuilders and a metric fuck ton of gacha sets to pull from, including promo's.
You can select m ultiple player characters from all db races, and you need to unlock save files by playing.
Good, Dyspo is best boi
The game is available in a lot of european country
(Germany-France-Belgiquetasdemerde)
Ya know, once this thread goes down later, you could head over to /vg/'s /dbg/, we could use a guy like you.
>unlock save files by playing
Wait, by that do you just mean different main characters you can cycle through, or full-on brand new saves? It'd definitely be nice if you could have multiple main characters at a time of different races instead of having to hunt down the dragon balls every time you want to try out a new race like you did in the previous games.
Also can you be best girl Saiyan Berserker yet? That was the class I went with the most in the 3DS games, since she gives the buff I liked the most. If I recall correctly, it was to increase team's attack power every time your power level surpassed the opponent's.
Surething niggi, anything you want to see as of right now? Would be happy to post some stuff.
You have saiyan males and females, the males are support cucks and the females are 'harder to master' but have a great potential pay-off, is all I could gather from the description.
Currently playing as the demon god race.
Right, I know that from the previous games, but I guess my question was if you could have multiple to pick from at the same time, or if you would have to wish and start your levels over again like in previous games in order to change.
>all db races
Please tell me there are player-character Tuffles
WHAT
DUMP THAT SHIT NIGGA
How's the port? Debating whether to get on PC or Switch
No idea, you need to reach certain story chapters in order to unlock the files.
Will report back in when i'm further into the game :]
Switch plays well, has support for most controllers and touch support on the screen itself for placing cards/making gestures to activate abilities.
Just blog as you go, I'm unironically hyped for this because I've been wanting to play heroes in English ever since I saw it years ago
>mfw 3DS games never ever
Thank you both for your answers. So from my understanding, I can make ANY character viable, or even OP, if I dick around a little with the cards system?
Gotta leave in 20 minutes, so I'm not able to play much more.
Will keep you guys posted in new threads if interessted.
How does it actually feel doing the motions and whatnot on the switch itself? I imagine you probably don't have anything too advanced as far as motions to do yet, but I was worried about how it will feel without a stylus.
As far as the story mode goes, another question I have. In Ultimate Mission X, you had characters with friendships or whatever, and you couldn't use cards of that character in the story mode until you unlocked them (arcade mode let you use whatever, no matter what, though), but as you got their friendship up all their cards could get buffed. Is that still a thing?
Yurp
Wait, so what exactly do you mean by pulls?
There is a gacha machine in the game?
Do you only get cards from gacha, or do you also get them from just playing the game?
Are there micro-transactions? Or do you only pull using in-game currency?
There is something called 'bonding', and after every mission that you beat all characters that you used raise in bonding level.
Your player character also levels up and gains better stats as you go.
when its released in april 4th in japan, but there will be a demo this thursday.
seriously tho, when the game will have a steam or USeshop page? i need to know the exact price dammit!?
Actual gacha machines in-game all with in-game currencies.
You can do 10x pulls and 1x pulls.
There are different tickets aswell :
-Gold Tickets ( Better chances for rarer characters)
-Blue tickets(normal chances)
-Ticket shards(Combine 2 of these to form 1 full ticket)
Fucking neat. I'm sold, will get it later. Thank you based user
not him but.. yeah, friendship levels are still a thing.
I paid 55 quid for it.
Np user!
Okay yeah, that sounds like how the 3DS games worked. Cool.
It should be $60 US, just like most games. I know that's the current price listed for gamestop.
Is there a plot or it's just a Yugioh game with DB characters? Is there multiplayer?
Alright, I'm heading out for work boys, if there are any other questions you could reach me on kik.
big_neck
I'll make other threads if people want to see more.
Cheers dudes.
i imagine thats the estimated for US.
the problem here is that im Mexican, the prices can be different, not to mention, why do this game have AAA price?
Here's your team bro
Because it's a console release rather than a handheld one, plus there seems to be more going on under the hood of the game than the 3DS versions. What's the $60 equivalent in Mexico, 1144 pesos correct?
Not him, but there is a plot. One of the first things they revealed for it was the new villain, who was apparently the first Time Patroller. Pic related.
There are several forms of multiplayer, but the servers aren't up yet. There's a versus mode and several creation modes where you can share content.
Definitely make another thread when you get back, I'm keeping my eyes peeled. Or even do what that one user said and head to /dbg/. Or both, that's cool, too.
>why do this game have AAA price?
Probably because there's a fuckload of content. Like it's ridiculous how much content there was in UMX, and this will have even more. We're talking 8 years of content from the arcade version being put into this thing, with new stuff to go with it.
I'm getting a refund right now.
>Dragon ball heroes general
>general
there's a fucking board for this shit
Already posting on /vg/ user.
I will be leaving now though, take care.
You can also make teams that are slightly less bad.
guess so...
and yeah, 1150-1200 peso is about right, but i do need confirmation, specially considering the demo wont be available, and theres no preorder for the US version, neither in switch or PC.
I dunno, you still put a lot of trash in that one.
if you got those images from the official cardlist, i must rmember you:
only use sets from SDBH1 to UM2 (technically previous sets count due to the card creator). any newer sets arent gonna be availble.
I hope the game has DLC like the 3DS ones.
Fingers crossed. I also wonder if Sealas will have actually playable cards.
I bet Sealas will, but Sealas and Ahms combined form wont
Man, what an edgelordian design
Ahms will probably be an unlockable support post-story, though.
It does seem kind of un-Dragon Ball, doesn't it?
Any Bulma bunny suit cards?
Is that fuckin Dragon Quest?
Here's all your Bulma cards.
Nah, Bulma in this game is in her Wild Rider outfit. If they do add DLC though, DBS Broly Bulma could also come.
>why do this game have AAA price?
Well look how many modes are in the game
youtube.com
I'm still on the fence about this game, so far do you think it's worth dropping 60 on it?
To me the big thing is that it has all of the arcade modes. 8 years of updates means a lot of content.
It has arcade missions from SDBH1 to UM2. That includes:
God of Destruction Beerus Arc
Golden Frieza Arc
God of Destruction Champa Arc
Merged Zamasu Arc
Demon Goddess Towa Arc
Cell-X Arc
Super Bardock Arc
Universal Survival Beginning Arc
Dark Majin Buu Arc
Coming to the Present Arc
Mechikabura's Descent Arc
Universal Survival Recruitment Arc
Tournament of Power Arc
Xeno Janemba Arc
Super Namekian Arc
Broly Dark Arc
ToP Fighters Arc
Society Survival Arc Part 1
Society Survival Arc Part 2
ToP Climax Arc
Mechikabura Revival Arc
ToP Finale Arc
Android 21 Arc
Prison Planet Arc (UM1/2)
about the arcade modes:
only the arcs or missions from SDBH1 to UM2 are gonna be available.
while still a lot of stuff, all pre-SDBH content outside the cards it wont be available.
maybe the pre-SDBH bosses will be available in story mode, but we will have to wait and see.
Awww, so the old ones that were all in UMX aren't in? That's kind of a bummer, actually. So none of the Jyakuryu Mission stuff is in, at least as far as stages go? That means my favorite SSJ4 Goku card probably won't be in, either.
While those pre-SDBH cards won't be available, you can just remake 'em in the card creation mode. You remember all the stats of that SS4 Goku card?
Was there even any story to Heroes before SDBH?
basically yeah, the Pre-SDBH cards wont be in.
however, thats why the card editor is a thing, all characters, abilities and gimmicks pre-SDBH will be available to use, so you can recreate the card at least.
its definitely not perfect, and i dont like it either, but it could definitely be worse.
basically
>Kid loves arcade games
>The DB world is real
>Trunks drags kid to DB world
>hijinx ensue.
kinda the extremely generalized gist of it.
It was this one, I'm fairly sure. The big thing was his ability, where if you had 10 Hero Energy, his 10x Kamehameha would actually do 10x damage.
Yes. At least as far back as Jyakuryu Mission, where the idea was that Smoke Shenron was summoning back old villains to work with the Dark Dragons. The firs two kind of had stories, but you started getting into more plot as it went on. The most plot-heavy one pre-SDBH was probably God Mission, though.
> Jyakuryu Mission
That isn't even googlable
Evil Dragon Mission. I just got used to calling it by that name.
Oh yeah, I remember that one. I'm sure it'll be easy to recreate once you get all the required items. Here's the cards stats for a reminder.
Just search DBH JM
The movies from it are here. I liked this one because it was where shit started getting really weird, and it had the catchiest theme song.
youtube.com
Yeah it's a really great card, even if you don't use the team-up skill. Only catch is you have to make sure he isn't attacking with someone else on that turn, or it won't trigger. So just don't have another HR type attacking on the same turn as him.
>Catchiest theme song
>Not the very first Heroes theme or the first Super Heroes theme
You make me disappointed user
Granted they're all great
Now that's a good high-risk-high-reward tactic.
The first Super DBH theme is my second-favorite, and it's close.
Yeah I liked it. If you fucked it up, he was just a regular, albeit high-stat card. But if you nailed it, that would win the fight on the spot in most cases.
Reminds me of an old Rose Goku Black card with a similar ability.
I can't wait to make stupid shit in the card creator
you can sell the physical cards that come with it to make some money back
>pre-SDBH missions aren't in
FOR FUCKS SAKE
I JUST WANTED TO LEARN THE FUCKING STORY
GODDAMN I MAD
WHY WON'T ANYONE TRANSLATE ULTIMATE MISSION X
FUCK FUCK FUCK NIGGER SHIT CUNT COCK FUCK
>only bulmas are non canon bullshit only made to sell figures
They added snowsuit Bulma from the Broly movie but we aren't getting that.
>Epic Store Exclusive rumor
JUST
There is no story though.
Just look through the openings/cutscenes on youtube
youtube.com
There is literally no cohesive story in-between mission before God Mission (which IS in the game).
>before God Mission (which IS in the game).
You literally said the DBH stuff isn't in, now you say it is, make your fucking mind up faggot
Dude, I'm not that user.
And pretty sure God Mission is SDBH?
At least I think that's where the stuff with Towa started.
God mission is Pre-SDBH.
fuck you.
it was announced on steam since end of january. Bamco is not gonna just change stores just like that, these Epic store memes are getting REALLY annotying.
IIRC, someone is translating UMX. Can't remember who or when tho, it's been a while.
So the Beerus mission is not a God Mission?
It's from the cover of a chapter, it's as close as canon as you can get.
There's always DLC
1 week until release and no Steam page is suspicious
the names God mission, Galaxy mission and so, are just the names of the games 'volumes'.
Dragon ball heroes Volumes are:
-Release
-Galaxy Mission
-Jaakuryu Mission
-God Mission
Super Dragon Ball Heroes has:
-Release
-Universe Mission.
the numbers are the diferent seasons said volume has, with each season being released around 3-4 months each.
The Beerus mission must be part of the SDBH Release volume
youtube.com
here still says STEAM.
It is, SDBH Mission 1 had missions based off the Beerus, Frieza and Champa arcs of DBS to keep players up to speed.
its a card game? gay
i just want to pre-order user
you arent the only one, i have been saving for this, and tomorrow im getting paid, giving me the last bunch of money i need to complete it.
im still not sure to go with switch or PC, but in any case, it is annoying that neither in the switch eshop or steam you cant preorder yet.
>all the gods get cards
>Vados, Whis, and Marcarita are the only angels that get cards
It plays more like a tactical turn-based RPG than a card game, but it's technically called a "card battler" game.
But wait...
Look at thi, a compilation of God Mission "cutscenes"
youtube.com
And it clearly has these arcs:
> God of Destruction Beerus Arc
> Golden Frieza Arc
> God of Destruction Champa Arc
> Merged Zamasu Arc
> Demon Goddess Towa Arc
Which are listed here Did SDBH just repeat arcs?
Oh. I guess that's why I'm confused then
only the first ones it seems, as said, probably to keep players up to speed in the events of Dragon Ball Super.
No, it's a shortened, tl;dr version for Super newfags.
The actual story DBH missions that introduce main characters and with actual proper story are fucking MISSING from this game since it's only SDBH cancer and I am fucking livid.
Those people abandoned it literally a year ago there has been no updates in ages.
Ah, that sucks. Eh, at least Heroes is coming over nonetheless.
Hey, I know you're fucking mad, but don't just call it cancer for no good reason.
I am just mad because this is like starting DBZ without knowing original DB.
In this case SBDH is the DBZ and DBH is the original DB.
I am fucking livid they couldn't be bothered to include content from that.
KYS NIGGER
DUMP IT FAGGOT, SO US CFW BROS CAN ENJOY IT TOO
CHILL THE FUCK DOWN FAGGOT
Does the European release come with the cards as well? I can only listing for the Hero Edition in the USA
That depends, does Europe have the DBS card game?
Why not call your gamestop and ask?
Yes, but only the regular version is releasing in Europe.
Ah, I see
I think I used the card you were talking about, too.
>Android 21 Arc
So does that mean that she survives it here or does it go down the same way it does in the game with her running into the spirit bomb with her evil self?
I'm curious if Japan got the same edition, or if they got actual SDBH cards instead of cards from the Super CCG because they have the machines there?
Japan had SDBH cards
1 limited edition avatar card and 3 eclusive character cards.
seriously tho, i get that since the game doesnt exist here the cards would be useless, but they should have released the cards either way, if only as collector items.
the avatar card art looks simply badass.
so whats the best rarity
It's only the first half of the FighterZ story, the second half was in UM3 which is not in World Mission.
>We only got some shitty Gogeta cards instead of that
Fuck.
why does gogeta's hair turn red in ss4?
where the dump at
1 day before ot releases
Because GT was not made by toriyama so they just went with whatever they felt like and they thought that red hair looked cool.
Maybe it's because Goku did that weird Semi-SSG ritual as a SS4 in the previous arc. With Vegeta being the 6th Saiyan, Gogeta went SSG and SS4 at the same time.
I dunno.
It's possibly just supposed to be the form beyond SSJ4 like what happened with gotenks being able to attain SSJ3, they just happened to attain the next form, or an upgraded form.
That or "It just looks cool" like said or to make sure people don't mistake him for goku since they look almost the same.
Is the avatar card anything cool, or just an alternate design but with the exact same effect? I'm guessing the latter, but it'd be neat if you got special abilities out of it. Got a picture?
I mean let's be real, while the SDBH cards would be cool, it's probably better to give out cards that people can actually use. I actually have some DBH cards in my possession, but I won't be able to do anything besides look at them until next time I go to Japan.
Because they were lazy as fuck.
SSJ4 Gogeta is literally SSJ4 Goku with a vest, so they started swapping colors to try to make him look different.
Reminds me of the SS3 Vegeta card I used to have, but I lost back in college.
Here...
Im sure all the hero avatar cards work the same, the different designs are just that, aesthetics and also indicatives of rarity or exclusivity and prestige as a player.
Im sure if bamco made an HAC made of actual diecast gold, they would sell it at 100000 dollars, and children would still buy it.
