nah it practically theme parks you from map to map, something the original RO did not do, and even renewal didnt force you to specific maps. if you were ballsy enough to sneak around you could go to a lot of places in RO.

no one is stoping you from taking a lvl10 into a lvl300 map. It will just ask if you are sure that you want to enter a higher lvl map that's all, but nothing is actually stopping you from walking from one side of the game to the other side

you can just go and lvl up like in RO where you smash things within 30 lvls of you.
Too easy? go to a map that's 20 lvl higher than you and try there.

Is this still the weird themepark Ragnarok Online game or did they actually break up the progression to make exploring the world actually interesting.

Hated being led by the nose from one area to another, no maps you could just sit and farm with friends until level 180. No high level dungeons in lower areas, no super bosses in lower level areas that required newbies to avoid and veterans to band together to kill for a reward and to protect the newbies so they can level in peace etc.

Like I said, if you think things gets easy, travel and explore maps till you see a map that's a lot higher than you and try to lvl there. It's like you are saying there aren't enough sand in a corner of the playground when there is a mountain of sand just across the field but you don't do there because there are grass on the field between you and that mountain of sand
like I said, join a guild, a lot of times they will guide you how to play. Also, get to the lvl range when you can start cm then you tell me if it's hard or not, I highly doubt you can even complete stage 6 at cm that's 20 lvl below your lvl

End game TOS is killing monsters for money/gear, doing a pvp game for gems to upgrade stuff or sell for money, or doing one of a handful of instances for better gear. It’s pretty standard mmo but with a LOT more focus on killing mobs in the overworld.

its annoying how terribly made the game is. everything is laggy, menus are trash, quests are buggy and its so dead that there's no proper resources on it.
