So, what's Yea Forums's excuse for not having beaten it yet?
So, what's Yea Forums's excuse for not having beaten it yet?
sekiro is easier for people who are used to playing mindless button smashing games like bayonetta or dmc
I'm a genuine poorfag.
>All these 2018 and 2019 releases
>Buying Souls-shit
If it's not fun, why bother?
>cant summon
>cant grind for levels
>cant hide behind a shield the entire time
Sekiro is most definitely harder than any of the souls games.
it’s too hard, fuck chained ogre
Are there people browsing my video game board who unironically summoned in any souls game, rendering the difficulty non-existant, and essentially cheating?
I did. Got 30 hours out of it.
It was Meh. I like the combat but the game lacks content and balance. I would consider this one of Froms B games rather than a main title.
can't make a female character so I wasn't interested
I sure dont. I had shitty connection so I had to put up with dying 30 times on bosses until I beat them eventually. I never got this whole summoning thing. It was mashing my face into a brick wall but hey eventually you learn their tricks.
>implying they actually beat it and didnt just give it souls game bonus points to appeal to a certain crowd
Because I'm taking my time, you only get to play a kink game like this for the first time once. I want it to last as long as possible.
How exactly am I supposed to beat a 50 hour game in three days?
Just speedrun it
>wasting a good game
You stick to his back, that is literally all you need to do to kill him.
it's shit
This. Also, stealthing minibosses in Sekiro is the equivalent of summoning. Only casuals do it
It really isn't 50 hours. I'm in the final stretch after 20. Make it 25 if I didn't have practice
I play everything super slow.
I’ve only discovered how to fit gud at the game 30 hours in and halfway through the quest
Also you only get the good shit after killing Genichiro, who just happens to be a major shitter filter
souls is fun though??
people who stigmatized dark souls as hard games are dumb as fuck, donkey kong country is harder.
just get the fire prosthetic and he is easy as fuck, other than that, hug his ass
Try fire
Fire is effective
Need fire
Memory required
>a bit
Well ever since the plagiarism scandal, IGN now hires contributors who actually know how to play games.
I have not purchased this game.
Can't play as a big titty Shinobi slut
stealth takedowns makes the game easy as shit
I agree. The people who are doing this
>muh secrit hard games club
thing are fucking ridiculous.
I'm probably gonna need to grind some XP if I wanna beat the lighting dude at the tower.
Waiting for the price to drop.
The game, is fun.
Under no circumstance is Sekiro easier than Souls, and I've played them all (beat Sekiro in 37 hours). Sekiro's combat is so much more demanding of the player and the enemies generally put up a lot more of a fight. Soulsborne also gives you ways to trivialize the whole experience, like grinding, summoning, and a multitude of broken builds. The only leeway Sekiro gives you is with the stealth, and even that only goes so far.
I would sooner believe that they made the review copies easier.
Sorry you don’t have friends to trash invaders with
>average nu/v/ shitter
>plays dark souls, baby's first """hard""" game
>summons 3 people for each boss, making it so he can effectively afk his way through the game
>turns around
>"git gud"
does it really surprise you that Yea Forums struggles with sekiro?
is this true? i feel like cheating everytime i do it but i thought it was the intended way
No he's just shitposting.
There are encounters that explicitly don't allow you to stealth, and mini-bosses only let you do it once (if you run away they heal to full).
The game clicked for me today for some reason. I used to be so fucking trash that even the regular enemies gave me trouble. But today i restarted the entire game and one shoted Juzou, Lady Butterfly, and Flaming Bull, with no cheese or resurrect.
>stealth deathblow every miniboss
>stealth deathblow a mob near him to mind control him, essentially giving me a summon
>spamming sabimaru to poison boss and wait out the right
Truly evil.
Because Guardian Ape is simply not even fun to lose at.
>no difficulty setting
no buy
>he summons, grinds levels and a boarder for soulsborne
git gud casual
I haven't even purchased it yet. Sounds like it's too short and far too repetitive combat wise even for a Souls like game.
My only complaint is limiting spirit emblems. You get locked out of the prosthetic and a bunch of combat arts and all it does is encourage grinding so you can buy more. Sure you can get gold fast enough that it's never a huge issue but that makes you wonder why it's even there in the first place.
I would have to have played it at all to beat it
I think it makes the minibosses a little too easy desu. Having to deathblow each one twice really makes them all feel intimidating and scary. Makes the game more enjoyable
This
Have been playing furi again, tho
this is actually genius
>get shit on for not realizing DS1 and Demons Souls are amazing
>retroactively give DaS2 higher scores to cover your own ass
>ride the “Its so hard!” train for the next two games
>next game comes out and its actually hard
>pretend that its actually easy so that you can advertise your dying website
>he doesnt 2v1 invaders and send them a video on steam of it afterwards
Its like you want me to make fun of you.
i just don't want to play it, no online...
>So, what's Yea Forums's excuse for not having beaten it yet?
I don't buy or pirate games published by Activision
>or pirate
but why
Only got it 2 days ago.
Standing in front of the lance guy in the ashina estate memory, and beat the Chained Ogre after about 8 tries yesterday.
I really need to get my Souls reflexes out of my system. It feels fucking amazing when you pull off some clean shit, but I'm not good enough yet.
>cant grind for levels
You literally can.
>mfw dying 20+ times on the early game bosses
I'm worse than DSP
So how do I beat the drunkard motherfucker?
im stuck on him too see
how do i get past the first 3 soldiers
they always find me
Dark Souls muscle memory is hindering your skill, you should almost never try to dodge the boss, always deflect or jump or mikiri counter his attacks
Did journalist get a special build?
It's $80 and I've got to buy a bedframe and dining set this week.
>miss one L1
instant death
>try be more aggresive with R1s
locked into attack animations, instant death
>Try use gadgets
lmao
>try dodge with B
still get hit
>try jump away with A
lmao boss isn't dying retard
I just suck
Yup i need to get more familiarized with it, so mikiri fucks up every unblockable or only thrusts?
I didnt buy or pirate it
It's pretty easy when you dont play it
if you’re not confident you can perfect parry, hold L1 to block until you get the timing
Pressing R1 multiple times ‘queues’ attacks, only press R1 as much as you want according to the openings, stop pressing if the enemy perfectly deflects an attack. You can cancel non-queued attacks with L1 mid animation
shuriken on airborne enemies, sabimaru to keep pressure, spear to remove armor, axe to break shields and do huge posture damage, shield for easier blocks and deflections with lower posture damage etc
dodge only powerful attacks you can’t mikiri or jump, or when your posture damage is high, press and hold L1 to recover posture faster, your health determines how fast posture recovers (same for enemies)
don’t jump away, jump towards enemies
git gud friendo, good luck
only thrusts, but not only spear thrusts, kicks that trigger the kanji warning can also be mikiri countered for instance
It looks boring
Been working plus had a birthday. I just got inside the castle
doing the all skills achivement farming wolf outside of the palace for easy exp , and farming materials for the all prostetic achivement speaking about that anyone nows which mobs drop Scraping iron]?
I see, well i'll have to practice timing specially for bosses
it runs like shit on my pc, wasted my time pirating it. it has the exact same lag spikes and poor performance like ds3.
>>cant grind for levels
replace lvls with skills here you cant grind exp for skills in fact game breaking ones like the double ichimonji that shit combned with the firecrakers DESTROYS bosses posture , i beated every boss in the game using that shit
This game sucks.
It's genuinely shit.
Probably fucking worse than DaS2.
I've beaten literally every souls game except Demon's cuz that was shit too but I'd rather go back and play that to completion than continue playing this game.
The combat isn't fun.
The levels aren't well designed.
The bosses are unimaginative, the minibosses even worse so.
If you like this game I'm convinced you've got either brain damage or a terminal case of Fromdrone-ism. Which is worse I don't know, but you're probably better off dead.
I summon on the first play-thru and only day 1.
But solo the games on the second.
summons in dark souls 3 were actually really shit because boss health scales with how many summons you got. and the added chaos of random target change makes them even worse. I dont understand why people still summoned though.
I vowed to never buy another gook (or fromsoft) game after realizing that they're even worse what with putting put copy pasted games or having absolutely 0 quality control. Not to mention their absolute prehistoric cheat detection.
>playing games because they're "hard"
Genuinely worse than playing them because they're popular, think for yourself for once in your life
Most epic le hardcore game for hardcore gaymurs like myself types summon constantly in souls games.
All I have left is the demon and sword saint. Right now i'm just grinding to see how garbage the endgame special moves are.
>easier than Souls
You know they are full of shit and either, only played the first two hours or they didn't play the game and just saw youtube videos about it.
Which is something they already got caught doing.
Same. I'm just replaying dark souls just to cope with my lack of money.
why do people have this obsessive fetish for dark souls?
you beat a REAL hard game
who the fuck cares?
The only people who think that are actually retarded. It's a fun game BECAUSE of the challenge. The actually fans of the games are all PVP fags and they got shafted with this game, so the only people you're going to see is the "LOL I BEAT DARK SOULS WITH ONLY TWO PHANTOMS" people.
I got true ending on first playthrough without knowing how to do it and it only took me around 35 hours, that's pretty much 12 hours a day for three days
>so the only people you're going to see is the "LOL I BEAT DARK SOULS WITH ONLY TWO PHANTOMS" people
yea like i said "who the fuck cares"
But you're trying to engage people who are so pathetic they see beating a game as some sort of badge of honor, you're wasting your time.
yeah nice cope
Go Vietnam on all the surrounding soldiers. Then aggro the drunkard and lure him out as far as possible. Lose his aggro, then follow him for a stealth deathblow. Now run to the guy in the bushes and request his help. Let him aggro the drunkard and hit the drunkard only if he's focused on the poor guy.
Sounds like a winners plan
Check your local library. Mine had sekiro and dmc
I wonder what fucking "journalist difficulty" did their review copies come with.
Though I guess it's not entirely untrue. Sekiro isn't hard because of it's encounter design. It's hard because of the extremely small margin for errors on top of literal Ai manipulation having to be done by the player due to the above.
In Sekiro you can take about one good hit from a boss before you need to heal to survive taking another hit which will kill you. (ignoring the enemies who can flat out one shot you) So you need to heal.
In Dark souls you generally have 3-5 hits of health in damage you can take and that's further amplified by the existence of a shield (unless playing BB or DaS3.
In Dark Souls 3 input reading on healing reactions is limited to 2 (4 if DLC) bosses.
In Sekiro every boss and most mooks respond to healing and item usage.
They also tried to balance being able to run away from a fight by giving boss a sprint reaction too. I remember streaming the final boss on my NG++ playthrough and he didn't transition to the spear phase and actually attacked me instead because I sprinted to create distance. Got a few laughs at out of it.
The great ape x2 in the rematch will slide all over the floor if you use items instead of summoning his m8 but you can only do it twice before his m8 default drops down anyways scream or no.
Genichiro when he's gotten rid of his armor will almost always react to heals with his thrust. Which is actually exploitable given you can free step that but isn't necessary because he's easy as shit.
If the game was the exact same all the way down but you could instead take 4-5 hits like a souls game instead of 1 to 2. It would be the easiest game in the series. But that's fantasy and that isn't this game.
t. me
Oh and the game cycles after the first NG+ is easy as shit. So you should avoid upgrading attack power if you can or you'll break the game.
Pussy
there's an item that lets you exchange health into temporary spirit emblems, like bloodborne blood bullets
