Yep, two years later and it's still in my top three favs. The DLC was really good as well

>Unironically a masterpiece

No this game shows how much the name Zelda means. This is the worst aspect of every survival/open world game with nothing good in it.

Yeah that one island was cool, it's a shame you never have to think creatively at any other part of the game besides here and the beginning.

Why are we still talking about this game? RDR2 too. We've said everything that needs to be said, give it a fucking rest.
I want Kass to sit on my face

>tree bridge

Oh wow that'd actually really creative. It's amazing how many solutions there are that people come up with. I think I'm going to start a new save and abuse that new glitch that lets you get max hearts and stamina super early

Not really. It was empty as fuck

Do you see that mountain? You can climb it
- Nintendo 2019

This. Cross-country simulator.

The DLC was shit

>The DLC was really good as well
This is how I know you're full of shit.

SEETHING cuck

It literally isn't but nice shitpost.

Yeah, if you count garbage like shrines, koroks and enemy camps it isn't empty, but I only count quality content, something that barely exists in BotW.

I don't care if it's a masterpiece or not, I still play it in between finishing other games. It's comfy.

There's a lot of quality content in BOTW, negro. Stay deluded.

Sadly I barely found some. Hopefully the next game won't be so disappointing

It's a solid 7/10.
There have been a ton of games released in the past few years that I've enjoyed way more. The Zelda team is still "behind" in a lot of ways, like not having actually smooth gameplay (i.e. framerate and responsive controls). The game teases at being difficult in the early-game but shits the bed once you realize just how broken all the mechanics are. The story is poorly executed. The variety in content is weak given the game's size and length. The Zelda-esque content is sparse and the game plays more like an AAA open world title. etc etc
The sequel could be a masterpiece if it takes BotW as a base and significantly refines on it with tighter gameplay and stronger content.

it was disappointing getting to the master sword area and having the fps start chugging terribly. they really should have made this game run better somehow, it doesn't even look that good.

Pretty much this. I've never seen a game with so much potential. It could be a literal masterpiece

Well of course they're behind. they're stuck using 10 year old tech you retarded faggot

>The sequel could be a masterpiece if it takes BotW as a base and significantly refines on it with tighter gameplay and stronger content.
Darn right, that's what sequels are for. Hope they don't start from ground zero next game, would be a stupid route.
Imagine if Mario never improved and was just stuck at Mario Bros 1

Was worth it for the final boss

>if you count things i dont like
>doesnt like the game

so basically you opened the game case and the cartridge slot was empty

>if you count things i dont like
You're acting like shrines, enemy camps and koroks being shit is subjective.

hahahaha ok

I love Kass!

Please do not day disrespectful things about my husband, thanks!

They are if you have shit taste in games. The shrines are brilliant from a game design point of view.

No, they're decent from a puzzle point of view. They're shit from a game design point of view. They only exist in an attempt to pad out the world.

>Piss easy
>Same music and textures for every shrine
>Not even worth doing for the reward past a certain point
>0 lore
>Massively disappointing to find when exploring and expecting to find something actually interesting
No thanks

That's because you have garbage taste and you can't even see the subtleties behind the design. They were an elegant solution to what they were going for with the free and minimalist approach of the game.

>lore nigger thinking his autistic opinion matters

>Piss easy
just like the average zelda dungeons except the actual puzzles are far more interesting
>Same music and textures for every shrine
just like the dungeons in alttp
>Not even worth doing for the reward past a certain point
you can literally say that about pretty much any not mandatory thing in any game
>0 lore
are you retarded or what? it's a zelda game and nintendo doesn't give a shit about lore
>Massively disappointing to find when exploring and expecting to find something actually interesting
is this your first time playing a nintendo game? shrines are basically the stars in mario 64

fucking retard

That's a really eloquent way of saying the world was empty. Bravo.

>deflecting criticism by shitting on past Zelda games
Every time.

Stating facts is shitting on other zelda games? Nice deflection you insecure faggot

It literally isn't but keep trying

>can't tell the difference between facts and opinions

Hes not your husband, hes a Nintendo character

Even a lone tree standing on a hill can't be considered empty since unlike other open world games you can actually interact with the tree.

I only stated facts but sure, you can stick to your retarded greentexting

pewresearch.org/quiz/news-statements-quiz/

>shrines are basically the stars in mario 64
Except you find stars for a reward of beating a fun and challenging level, meanwhile you find shrines while hoping to find something actually interesting in the wilderness. The game would be better if you would find more stuff like the Lord of the Mountain instead of fucking shrines

>if you don't count all the content, the game has no content

>Mario 64
>challenging
i beat that shit when i was 7 years old
