Fucking awesome. More witch games from NIS is good.

I wonder if sales on steam weren't that great, or if they'll just announce that when they announce the english release

Steam versions were pretty much broken anyways

Most NIS PC releases are a west only thing, so I'd wait for a localization announcement before ruling it out, yeah.

Wasnt Perico the witch that gets lobotomized

>The development team is made up of staff that worked on the first game, and Emi Evans is back for the music.

Thank fucking god, I was afraid we were getting another TWATHK2 situation.

Nice, I loved LoR so I'm glad to see it get a followup. Hopefully the threads will be as good as LoR's, they really restored my faith in Yea Forums.

Where is hundred knight 3?

that was pecoro I think

That shit was actually unnerving, not gonna lie.

Even as a giant Hundred Knight fag, I'll take Disgaea 6 and a Labyrinth 2 first before they attempted a Hundred Knight 3, if they are.

Also it's missing something without Metallia.

Fuck yeah, I'm loving the first game. BTW, how much did I fuck up the progression if, instead of completing the three towers, I went on to recomplete the maps on the first map (punching the side of the first floor and going down from there) and killed the goat with a shield?

I really hope they get the original writer to do it and it's not witch 2 all over again.

I dropped Witch because it kept rebooting my console. How's it in PS4 (should I wait for a Switch port?)? And the sequel?

Hundred Knight on PS4 does not have the crashing issue the PS3 western release had. It also has a few streamlined things like on the fly weapon line switching, and adds alchemy for weapons and an extra, auto-generated dungeon akin to the item world, with its own new side story.

Hundred Knight 2 is the same core gameplay, but the story is a different world and characters entirely, though it shares that same dark fairy tale tone the first game had. The combat is faster and gives you more options, but the world design is kinda shit compared to the first. Almost the entire game is autogenerated corridors which is a real shame since the first games hand made levels were interesting to explore.

Using a PS4 Pro with boost mode, the remaster kept the rebooting bug but it was way less frequent (once in 60 hours as opposed to 1 every 10 hours in my fat PS3). On the other hand, I found new glitches like music tracks overlapping with each other or elements of the UI being stuck in the screen instead of disappearing as they should.

Also, to keep with NISA general incompetence, yesterday my PS4 rebooted when I checked an achievement while playing The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince.

>Almost the entire game is autogenerated corridors
Got me going there until that lol

>the remaster kept the rebooting bug but it was way less frequent (once in 60 hours as opposed to 1 every 10 hours in my fat PS3)
That was most likely just a standard crash, any game can do that. I had Journey and The Last of Us crash on PS4.

The PS3 Hundred Knight issue was a specific, unique style of crash where it would essentially Crash To Desktop and would just load the XMB immediately, something I don't think any other PS3 game ever did to me. Every other PS3 crash I had was a hard system crash that just froze it.

Cool, hopefully the make the combat a bit better somehow. Late game was just spamming the best skills and aoe healing every turn.

Still waiting onna sale for the game

Is the first one good?

Hopefully skills arent fucking limited to fucking stupid ass covenants. What a garbage mechanic, I sure loved to just auto attack.

Why wasn't the first game on Vita?
I had to buy it on PS4 but I'm too lazy to play a dungeon crawler on the TV. The Vita is perfect for this genre ffs.

>The PS3 Hundred Knight issue was a specific, unique style of crash where it would essentially Crash To Desktop and would just load the XMB immediately

It did that though. I did some experimentation with and without boost mode couldn't reproduce the UI and music problems when I turned it off, so it is probably related with the game not being prepared for it.

It was but I don't think it got localised there

Its fun enough. Characters and story kept me playing.

I got it for 25 bucks physical last Christmas, shit's cash.

It's originally for Vita, it just wasn't released for it in Europe/US. The sequel won't, either. NIS is effectively treating the Switch as its succesor. As most others should.

Hmm, fair enough. First I've heard of the PS4 version doing that rather than a standard PS4 style error that goes to a crash error warning.

They wont bother with the vita version and has vitagen bleeding from their asshole because of it. Bunch of fucking autist i say.

>$25 physical
Well aint that nice. Gonna kill myself

>NIS is effectively treating the Switch as its succesor. As most others should.
Nah

The first one was surprising in many ways. A bit too easy if you have any experience in the genre but the story and crazy dungeons kept it interesting .

Well the vita is getting shit in the west while what would have been there is heading to the switch instead.

>mfw I was gonna get the Vita version
>mfw got to Switch version instead
Feels good being idort

That said, I was gonna get Liar Princess on Switch but it's £20 on there when it's only £16 on PS4. Some serious bullshit right there. Got the PS4 version. Fucking loved that game though, man, I am a sucker for that kind of story.

They upped the price to 30 bucks lately (since they eventually found out that doing a sale to 25 euros of every game NIS has distributed here, including Ys VIII, isn't such a good idea). Do you have a spanish friend? You could find smaller retails that still have the 25 euro tag.

I want to fuck this doll

>same team as the first
Finally. Translation in 2 years, I suppose.

user, the Vita is 8 years old this year. Even if Sony hadn't dropped it early, it was bound to be phased out eventually. As someone who loves the fuck out of the Vita (Gravity Rush, Freedom Wars, Digimon Story were all fucking so good) and was even a Vitagen regular, the Switch is a perfectly reasonable successor.

My only complaint with it is that the looseness of the joycons makes button mashing less consistent which is shit for Taiko and forces me to play with the Pro Controller. Same for fishing in MHGU.

The only retail i have near has it at full price so i guess I'll try and order this shit.

At least you understand that the vita had a decent run for many and moved on the next best thing for rpg degeneracy. Also good taste my vitabro. Hope the next Digimon story lands on the switch along with that new VN one. Hackers memory was the shit
