regardless of your stance on the wii u, there's a huge difference between getting an emulator for 3DS working versus an emulator for wii u and switch. Yuzu still doesn't have a single fully playable game, even Odyssey (basically the only game they've focused on for the emulator) is riddled with bugs and is only just passable.

even with CEMU the only game that plays flawlessly is BOTW, all other games either still have glitches or don't run at all

I've seen some test-runs where the only issue with Odyssey was the audio, its fairly good when you consider the time that it took decent gb/a/c/gc emulators to be made vs switch progress despite the technological advancement

there's literally no space inside of the switch you can reduce anymore, the fucking thing is cramped up like hell and yet you see people wanting a smaller switch with built in joycons, like yeah nintendo totally wants people to NOT be able to buy expensive joycon sets and docks
the only thing i can see happening is a switch with bigger screen but taking some or all the frame of the current model without changing the tablet size and even then i dont see how the joy con rail system can adapt to that

botw doesn't play flawlessly. It plays extremely well, but it's definitely not flawless - it's missing a lot of particle effects (just look at death mountain in cemu vs actual game for an obvious example), and certain animations don't play correctly or sometimes are entirely skipped. Also, the physics behaviour is slightly off and doesn't always behave properly at far distances, at least in my experience.

However, SM3DW as far as I can tell is nearly flawless in cemu, same with cpt. toad outside of sound issues (shame it doesn't play great anyway as it was designed specifically for the gamepad); I've heard DKTF also emulates extremely well.

last I checked the shaders were also fucked up along with certain objects not rendering at all, making some levels kind of unplayable in parts

These "emulators" designed to play a single game aren't anything close to flawless, they're just a collection of hacks and over-simplifications designed to get something running. This is why SNES emulators had issues with basic shit like transparency for literally 20+ years until someone actually made a cycle accurate emulator, and the overhead required for it is huge.

It's not flawless. It's "playable", you won't see flawless switch emulation for another 20 years.

Nintendo's not going to make a smaller Switch because they battery alone takes up half the space inside. Any smaller battery would reduce the battery life defeating the point of a portable version. Nintendo's not going to make the joy cons permanently attached or remove features from them because that threatens compatibility with games. They're not going to make a "console only" version either since it defeats the point of the console.

Looks like the r*ddit post I followed got deleted. Use an FTP thing on your wii u and a program on your PC to connect to your Wii U's system files, then somewhere in there you need to copy the following:

That's all I can really tell you since I don't remember the guide past that. Once you have that info though it'll go somewhere in your cemu folders.

Even if they lost the third parties it could've been a Nintendo 64 situation where they still had a strong first party line up but the Wii U first party line up was weak as hell. This is because Nintendo vastly underestimated what HD game development is like and they were also trying to support the 3DS at the same time so you saw massive game droughts. The game fucking launched with only Nintendo Land and NSMBU from Nintendo in November and it took until fucking June of the next year for the next Nintendo developed game: Game & Wario. Then it took until August for NSLU (NSMBU DLC), W101, and Pikmin 3, Wii Party U and WWHD in October, and the end of November for 3D World. Took an entire year for it to have anything resembling a launch lineup.

We're seeing the exact same thing from the Switch only now they can hide it by porting Wii U games over. But if you were a Wii U owner you were waiting several months between releases.

i don't have the video on hand but i saw that with games that has dynamic resolution the overclock helps the system to stay on higher resolutions for longer and also more constant framerates, the battery depletes in like 30 minutes but yeah its possible
i think if a switch revision with higher clocks ever comes out it will be nice to see these games running on it
