I just got to the bull holy shit bros. I thought it was just a normal area and then BAM he fucking shits on me.

What ffmpeg settings do you guys use to get such high quality, long videos? I killed a guy and I'm proud of it and want to share, but the video is 51 seconds.

>Fight Owl and True Monk back to back
>Takes a lot out of me
>Start looking around the fountainhead
>Realize I had a bell demon on this entire time
Son of a fucking bitch.

I finally did it bros, I beat Isshin. I was trying for almost 3 hours

tips for butterfly lady please
i cant believe how close i was to beating her on my first try, now i struggle to even get past the first phase, also how to avoid the butterflies? and where are those damn firecrackers everyone keeps mentioning?

The trick is to jump on her after the grab. that's it. also subimaru work on her.

Should I learn shinobi arts or prosthetic arts?

Firecrackers are bought from the first Crow merchant. Go back to the area where you fought the Chained Ogre, and backtrack a little ways; go up to the highest available point, and he's there.

>Wasn't expecting her to be a boss
>Talk to her
>Beat her first try
>Same thing with the swordsman in the area you wake up in
Weird feel.

>scream deal damage on top of terror buildup

Attached: sekiro 2019.03.25 - 23.04.31.05.DVR.webm (1280x720, 2.96M)

>return to Ashina Castle
>the two factions are fighting each other
>can pit them against one other while taking pot shots on both of them
This is fun. I'm having a good time

Attached: smug makoto.jpg (377x575, 75K)

I need some help alright. Help getting my fucking controllers to work with it whatsoever, wired, bluetooth, big picture mode, with and without mods, I've tried everything I've seen online and still nothing. For fuck sakes this happens every single time I get a fromsoft game on PC and yet I still keep getting my hopes up

Attached: 1463800676556.jpg (800x800, 359K)

He's screaming really loud

>try to parry in the heat of combat
>just use my skill attack instead and die
This shit is infuriating

The scream dealing damage is the most bullshit part of that fight because its essentially just chip damage and the fight is designed to be as long and as drawn out as possible.

It is so far the worst designed fight in the game.

Now you must choose my son, do you want this firecracker that stuns 99% of the enemies in the game or do you want this spear that strips armor off two enemy types?

Don't use skill attacks, they're basically worthless anyway outside of a few niche cases and just cause the situation you described.

Use the night jar ninja attack on her til she dies, she's easy to cheese

I just undid it myself. It kept fucking me up except for one time I did it accidentally at the perfect moment and fucking Mortal Bladed a guy out of the air.

What large enemies even have loose enough armor? The big guy with the bell, maybe?

why do i have this weird feeling that one of these options kills him

Attached: 20190325205618_1.jpg (2560x1440, 505K)

>how to avoid the butterflies
You mean when the illusions turn into them? Just hide behind one of the pillars. You can also dispel the illusions with an item or hit them once to reduce their numbers

But Ichimonji

Attached: shockingly_btfo.webm (994x560, 2.95M)

Speaking of skill attacks the ashina cross is unusable DOGSHIT, good fucking lord ichimonji is way better

Fucking ladybutt, how do i deal with the butterfly in her second phase when the dying guy at the entrance only gave me 1 item to kill the ghosts ? Where do i buy them ?

Can you cancel your attacks with LB? I always keep a RB-RB-RB-LB rhythm but if you see a sudden attack coming midway can you just cancel out of your attack animation into a guard?

If only there was a specific item which made you invulnerable to that attack...

Attached: 34534534543.png (315x633, 144K)

The wind up for it is so obvious.
It really isn't that bad.
Guardian Ape is one of the best fights in the game.

For the butterflies I just ran in a wide circle around her and they all missed, but I bet the pillars work too.

Stylish as FUCK, but not useful outside of one or two niche cases. It only does about as much posture damage as two or three sword strikes.

Start learning frame perfect deflects

Attached: I DON'T KNOW THE SEASON OR WHAT IS THE REASON I'M STANDING HERE HOLDING MY BLAAAAAAAAAAAAA (1920x1080, 2.8M)

The Orin fight was fun as fuck.

In 2nd phase she will spawn a bunch of ghost dudes. You don't really have to fight them since she will call them back soon so just run around her. The tricky thing is that when they turn to paper and return to her, they can actually damage you so don't be greedy or you will be instadead. You can block all of this.

>That 2nd Guardian Ape fight
Who damaged the devs in such a way that they thought that was acceptable? That 2nd phase was absolutely brutal. If it weren't for the fearlessness powder and firecrackers I'd probably still be bashing my head against it.

bing bing wahoo off her head and you can stealth kill without using a ceramic plate

you can also mindcontrol her by jumping over her once she's in deathblow position... just imagine the porn

What's your boss order like? Also, when do you use dragonrot cure when you hit a wall and keep dying to maximize it's use?

Attached: 1489384390609.jpg (768x768, 143K)

Killed the snake, but fell off the opposite side of the bridge, did I miss out on anything?

Attached: 8648547356346347.jpg (683x683, 68K)

>It only does about as much posture damage as two or three sword strikes
Yea, but it also reduces your posture too

Only use dragonrot cure when you know you can do somebody's story bit and they're currently afflicted.

>Ape fight 1 is a hellish nightmare that I only beat through cheesing Phase 2
>Fight with two apes is piss easy
What the fuck?

Attached: 1542542872333.png (675x675, 115K)

Is it me or sometimes the game doesnt register some inputs.
I used guard or shuriken and the game did an attack instead, it happend multiple times to me.

beat it first try, it isn't hard dude
the whistle didn't work for me (???) so I had to cheese ape 2 with firecrackers but it only took two times to do the trick
other than that the guardian ape is ez as fuck because his posture bar doesn't really regen if you stay on his nuts

The shonin hunter guy or w/e shinobi hunter: What does it mean when his staff has a shimmer on the tip? I already killed him but I noticed that just once his spear tip began to glow, still confused by it.

>stealth
No. I made the mistake of talking to her and immediately triggered the fight. Luckily she wasn't too difficult.

>how to avoid the butterflies?
Sprint. During phase 2, when she starts summoning them at the start of a combo/attack, immediately sprint. Don't bother deflecting/attacking into side-step 'cause you won't have enough time.

Attached: 20190325223254_1.jpg (1920x1080, 334K)

How many secret turning walls are in the game? I think I only found the one in Ashina Castle and the one in the Hirata Estate so far and I feel like there's probably more

sprint into parry is also iffy and ive gotten booty bothered many times by owl while attempting to do so

I won't buy this game because these games aren't my thing but Sekiro is a pretty ass game.

Secret what now?

Seconding this. I did the same because I'm a clumsy dumbass. You can see from the other side there's at least an item. Anyone remember what it is?

don't worry, they'll add some in DLC

I wonder if some people are just contrarians and determine what the best fight is in the game based around the ones people complain about the most.

There is literally nothing memorable, interesting or enjoyable about fighting the Ape.

can npcs really die of dragonrot?, or can i just use a cure every 2,3 bosses dying as much as i can?
i love the game but its kicking my ass badly

I'm still early on. How do I beat the Headless fatty in the cave?

Ok just beat the game, and i had bell demon on the entire time. Anyone figured out what it actually does?

>beat senpou temple
>beat corrupted monk
>finally decide to try the castle
>beat genichiro easy
Feels like I missed out on all the pain I see in these threads

>dragonrot
Just use it whenever someone is afflicted, you get a bunch of tears throughout the game

This game...just sucks. It takes everything good about Dark Souls and throws it in the trash. Instead of being about preparedness and tactics, it's just a shitty reaction time action game made for spastic 14 year olds instead of being mechanically deep like Dark Souls was. I must have died like a hundred times to the Shinobi Hunter before realizing that it wasn't me that was bad, but the game itself for appealing to this moronic playstyle. Fromsoft really shit the bed with this one.

>fighting chained ogre
>"this is really easy how are people getting gatekept by this"
>he's two hits away from dying
>winds up a grab
>jump over him
>LOL SHOCKWAVE
>180 degree turn in a single frame
>dodge back a couple times to take a sippy
>take a spear in the back from some fuckboy that appeared out of then air and die
Sure do love some artificial difficulty.

Are you saying it's really ass, or really pretty?

So did I.
Knowing you can use the whistle on the other Ape does make the fight seem far more tame in my eyes. I feel like a retard for not realizing that but I tried using it during the first stage for whatever reason so it just sort of slipped my mind.

I don't think so. I only cured it twice and I don't think anyone died. One of the vendors died, but I think that was because of a story event and not the rot.

What the fuck are you talking about?
You mean the fact that it's a giant albino gorilla or that it gets up after you cut it's head off isn't memorable enough for you?
I'm sorry but you're a fucking retard.

You realize its literally impossible to have that before you fight him right? You dumb cunt.

>Already completed the game 100%, with all the achievements by savescumming
DLC WHEN

I used like four cures in my first run. Haven't seen any NPCs die even at my worst case of it.

Don't. Come back later when you have more confetti.

I get that sometimes as well, but I blamed my computer since it's getting on in years and starting to approach toaster status.
Was getting framerate drops fighting shinobi hunter which got me impaled more than I care to admit.

Fuck me I may, or may not have killed that one bandit standing in the enclosed area in the Hinata estate, the green dude. Did I fuck up hard core? Do I have to restart the game?

Dont use terms you dont understand

Artifical difficulty means fucking with HP values to drag out fights, not making them 'hard' but just more tedious.

You could see the spearman before you fought him, and should have taken him out.

There's a lot of preparedness involved in Sekiro, too. For the Shinobi Hunter, do you have the Mikiri counter yet? That's absolutely vital, and makes the fight much easier. Also, get a stealth deathblow on him to cut the fight in half.

No, its actually not, because I got it before I fought him you absolute moron.

Fuck that shit I just dodged to the left. Couldn't deflect for shit

It really fucking isn't. Its a fucking souls boss that I've seen a thousand goddamned times.

>Artifical difficulty means fucking with HP values to drag out fights, not making them 'hard' but just more tedious
So, the entire posture system?

Walls that you can hug that end up spinning around like the one that connects between the Temple and Kuro's Room in Ashina Castle

The ones I've found so far just had a lone tapestry so it seems easy to check for if you look for it but I probably missed some

So I rode the kite in the monk area and now I'm in a plank in the middle of a fucking hole where I can see a shitload of snow and a bridge.

Where is the fruit the rice granny mentioned?

Attached: 1534359359508.jpg (466x428, 15K)

I get the same thing but I think it might just be my LB button.

Alright I just fought the fatass drunk dude with some other guy. And after that I arrived to a door that is locked? Anyone know what's up?

>I died 100 times to an early game midboss
>I'm not bad though
I won't even say you need to git gud.
You just need to leave.

When was there an ape boss in any of the souls games? Oh right, there wasn't.
Sorry you're a jaded incel faggot.

go back way later after you've been through the area you see down there

It requires the finger whistle which you get for beating him. You literally cannot have it before fighting him you lying fuck.

You’ll kill the snake when it moves there

Wait. How do you ride the kite?

Are there any notBonfire after the going through monk temple but before those 2 straw hat spear-wielding chucklefucks?

Go back to where you fought the shinobi hunter, and follow the path through the bamboo forest up to the main entry of the mansion. There's a guy in there who will give you a key.

No you are just a dumb contrarian faggot. Kill yourself you fucking dumb motherfucker.

Yeah well fuck, he's not at the gate anymore. Seriously how bad did I fuck up here?

Corrupted Monk
Genichiro
Four Monkeys
Guardian Ape

I only use droplets after overcoming a wall, but apparently droplets are in generous supply, enough to maybe start using them liberally.

Attached: 20190325225049_1.jpg (1920x1080, 245K)

Does the dragon blood droplet permanently cure dragonrot?

Not too bad, there's a shuriken upgrade you can't get anymore but that's it as far as I know.

Takes the best parts of Souls, keeps them. Takes the worst part of souls, fixes them. In a new setting that we havent seen 4 times already and was done best in the first iteration.

Any tips for the drunkard boss? AI companion rushes to the horde of enemies that i skipped instead of fighting the boss's gank group.

>Takes the worst part of souls, fixes them
The hitboxes are the worst they’ve ever been

There is only 20 in the game from what i have heard.
Nope. Only use it to progress NPC questlines.

Anyone know where i can get the poison prosthetic? I heard it is in the castle but i cannot find it anywhere.

You talking about the ones that are standing back-to-back? There is not, but the idol is right after them inside the building. If you don't want to fight them both at the same time, you can grapple across the platforms to the left of them and not aggro them if you sneak and stay as far away as possible

That's what it looks like when an enemy is charging up an attack that pierces block. Hold down R1, you can do it too.

What shinobi Hunter

You can either bait the boss from left building or use AI companion as distraction while you kill all the trashes so you can 1v1 the drunken fat fuck later.
Apparently some people said you can stealth 1 bar from him going through left building but I have no idea how.

The man in white, with the spear.

We're talking about the memory of the estate, right?

What makes it different than the attacks with the red characters? Is it blockable?

Tell me more about how you had it when you fought him considering that the perquisite item to create it is inside of his belly. Oh right you are just a shitposter.

You must be a fucking shitstain of a human being who nobody loves to keep this kind of shit up. Everyone will cheer when you finally kill yourself you worthless piece of shit.

Attached: Shitposters.png (189x147, 62K)

Are you mad? People think this because you cant abuse iframe rolls anymore. They are the tightest of the series and I've actually had some parts where I would say they went in my favor rather than the enemy. You got sloppy from playing souls.

Its a fine line between needing combat to last a period of time and simply dragging it out for the sake of it.

Skyrim is the perfect example. There is no difference between playing on easy or hard other than the fights taking longer.

Yeah but I never fought someone like that. I only fought a huge ass dude who spits poison with a npc.

>poison prosthetic
bottom floor of the castle, you need to drop down from inside

Dude, tone it back a bit. Maybe he's just wrong.

>Soulsbab is terrified of playing aggressively

Where's your motivation?

Attached: 946.jpg (595x775, 109K)

Thrust, Sweep, grab attacks all have same red character.
You can't block any of them BUT you can deflect thrust, or just use mikiri counter.

It is not blockable and will be an attack with a red character.

Nice photoshop and samefag lel

Had my first death while fighting blazing bull.
Do I start over? Feels super bad knowing I can't get good ending anymore.

Just got my first Dragontear from Emma.

When should I use it? Is there an indication of when the NPCs are going to die, or should I just pop them into the Idols every time I get one?

Where is the corrupted monk, also why is Headless a fucking dmg sponge am I doing something wrong?

Yeah, go back a bit. To get to that guy first, you probably went up a tower into a high area, right? You're supposed to go there second.

After the long corridor with I think six side areas, you go up a staircase with two guys with shields, and if you just follow the road you'll run into the shinobi hunter.

Well that's why i'm confused, when his spear tip started to glow there was no red character thing. Or maybe there was and I wasn't paying attention.

Nah youre just a casual shitter, lmao

git gud

Attached: 048CAA484C054AFB8026425C8187E8DA.jpg (616x700, 56K)

It's an apparition, they take reduced phys damage unless you use a Divine Confetti. Corrupted Monk first fight is in Mibu past where O'rin hangs out.

Wow i'm a fucking retard. thanks

>Photoshop and samefag
I never said it wasn't me both times I just took the time to prove your dumbass wrong. You are a fucking shitty human being and nobody will care when you die scum.

Nobody.

Ok thanks.

lmao really? You had trouble with that? Literally just put your umbrella on and you can stand right under him and take no damage, it's comically easy once you figure it out

Ichimonji: Double is honestly great. Best ability for max posture damage punishes.

On particularly long charge attacks the red character won't pop up immediately, but closer to when the actual attack comes out.

Where is she even? I've heard people say she's the first boss but I've fought the horseman and no idea where the butterfly lady is.

I heard Memorial Mobs can restock on droplets after a certain time, but that too might also be limited. Also Sabimaru (poison prostehtic) is at the bottom of the castle. Drop down the big hole near the idol entrance.

>knowing I can't get good ending anymore.
???

I loved this fight, then completely ruined by this one fucking attack that he does every other attack. God, I wish they'd patch it so it might be every 4 or 5 instead of every 2 or 3, it's such a piece of shit.

And sure if you notice it you can sprint behind (because the aoe emanates from his mouth which is out front so the aoe is smaller in the back) But it just means you have to constantly pause the fight.

It's so fucking frustrating because him getting back up is an awesome moment, I love the fight up until that point, there's grappling and shit, then bam ruined.

The dragonrot does nothing other than block sidequests. Do not worry about it until after you get to the top of the castle

How do I get to the sword saint? I just beat the DOUBLE MONKEY TROUBLE and the Demon of Hatred, don't have a clue where to go now.

Retard, ape is one of the best fights ever. Demon of Hatred is worst fight, it's literally a dumb dark souls boss in a game that doesn't play like dark souls, it feels awful to fight the demon because of his fucking AoE

Are you saying I've started over 5 times now for nothing?

Am I the only one who couldn't pick up the Hidden Tooth?

If you already progressed far enough it will guide you to the locked gate in the moat where the game started.

Is Mibu Village the place with all the ghosts? I can’t find a way to get into the house with the whistling coming out of it.

I think that's how a lot of people felt in the beginning of this game, I did as well. Honestly though, the mechanics really grow on you once you get enough experience with different enemies. I hated this shit at first but I personally think this is even better than souls combat, it feels like a perfected version.

>Seven Spears Ashina
>actually only has one spear
LMAO NICE GAME FROMDRONES

There's a glint on his sword hand that you watch for. When you see it, instantly deflect. Remember there are two hits, so you gotta deflect twice.

post yfw that guardian ape fight
>literally throws shit at me and has tantrums

Attached: RVm1KmLe_400x400.jpg (317x317, 15K)

>For nothing
Maybe the real Sekiro is the practice you got along the way.

where do I get more confetti? Just used my last one on Monk and didn't see any in the shops

Yes. Who told you to do that to yourself?

Answer me, weebs.

you can't be serious

Someone posted a video in a previous thread. Essentially, dodge right, dodge counter, double slash, repeat. It's easier to do if you get her against one of the walls, but besides the occasional time she runs on wires, it's no big deal. If she escapes, just dodge her moves and start the whole thing up again. The whole boss is just a tutorial for dodge counters, really. This works for both her phases, and my advice for the butterflies she summons thag launch at you is essentially just to ignore them. You can dodge them, but if you keep her locked it worn matter anyway because unless she turns all the illusions into projectiles, you'll be fine.

just got to the final boss, sword saint Isshin
Any tips? I can reliably burn down his first phase but his second is giving me a little bit of trouble
Recommended combat arts for this?
Also, why does Isshin come climbing out of Genichiro's jugular, is this some Japanese myth thing?

Attached: 1437630106287.jpg (640x360, 30K)

Why would you start over you fucking moron?

It's like posting on Yea Forums - the fight

Y you can cancel attacks into any other actions

Yeah but how do I get there? From where? They said I should follow the smoke signals but I'm not finding them, I find maybe one or two and then nothing.

You can't get more until you beat him. You shouldn't really need it, he doesn't have that much HP

This guy has red eyes, which means he gets stunned by fire
use the fire spear

I finally did it!

youtube.com/watch?v=MAM_lgCPqmg

Attached: get fucked.png (1920x1080, 2.53M)

Mostly just annoyed. I didn't enjoy it at all. I prefer high octane fights where I can end it quickly using extreme pressure and high risk. He was just tedious.

So this is the power of the PC master race

Uninstall the drivers, plug it in, go to your steam controller settings and load the controller type, launch the game. DS2 did this for me and I'm pretty sure thats how I fixed it.

Alright the bull is assfucking me. I got the firecrackers and all but you cant jump or dodge his charges what do

>this unironically

Not him, but you should take some time and self-reflect. Methinks the lady doth project too much.

How do you get inside the house your eavesdrop before the corrupted monk? There's a bridge behind it with an item over there.

Dodge towards him.

Look at it from another angle, that fight doesn't really allow much deflecting and pays a homage to dark souls games, most beast fights for that matter don't really allow deflect. The entire fight shows just how much fun they had making the bossfights in this game, he throws shit at you, and actually legitimately behaves like a monkey would.

Inteded order seems to be
Genichiro
Four monkeys
guardian ape
double ape
corrupted monk
however on subsequent playthroughs I do monk before rape ape because fuck the double ape fight

Why is the purification ending so fucking difficult? The drunkard and his adds wouldn't be so bad except his adds include purple robed superninjas and Owl 2.0 is a megacunt.

All I needed for the return ending is to do a couple of piss easy snek puzzles.

Why would you use confetti on monk? Just parry her and get your licks in between.

Methinks you are a faggot.

Always be sprinting to the the side of the bull to try and bait the small side-swipe it does and then whack its thighs a bunch. If you cant jump the charging attack, just block it and take the chip damage then immediately sprint at it. JUST KEEP SPRINTING

jesus christ there's two fucking ape battles. have fun with the second one

How did you get to him? Whats the path?

>super armor attacks
fuckhead

crouch

Congrats! How come you never jump over his deathblow swing though, where he runs to the right (his left) then does the spin slash?

>Apparently some people said you can stealth 1 bar from him going through left building but I have no idea how.
you absolutely can. That's how I cheesed it. Go through the left building like you said, backstab one of the enemies in front of the boss, when he gets up, run away and reset your aggro. Instead of going back to sit down, the drunk dude just stands in the middle. You can go back around the left and sneak attack him from there. Really makes the fight manageable with your low stats at that time. Hell, I even managed to keep my samuraibro alive too

Keep sprinting and deflect whatever you can, when he has to turn around is a decent time to firecracker him and hit him with something heavy like Ichimonji.

The tooltips.

He's the final boss in every ending besides the bad one
He's still the final boss in the bad ending but he's gimped

The eyes are shooped.

Attached: sekiro.exe 2019.03.24 - 20.57.48.49.DVR.webm (1280x720, 2.87M)

Where is double ape? I'm at the final boss and still haven't see em.

Dude. Go to the Ashina Resorvoir and just jump down in the moat.

>inb4 the festering and the immortal refer to two gorillas, one with the blade in its neck is immortal and i'm about to meet a festering disgusting one.

Did I figure it out

>enemies randomly poise through your combo
It hurts being on the receiving end of it.

wot

Unironically my favorite boss so far. Even if it is one note.

Just walk back, then to the left and then to the right and you avoid that entirely and you also get an opening.

I never even used it and killed her on the second try, just dodge man, don't even think about parrying for some bosses, especially the ones with spears.

That's a different guy, champ.

I've beaten him long ago just by deflecting anything, no need for tricks.

where do you get the item that's right in the starting area on the ledge that's too high to jump to? do I need to return there after getting the grappling hook?

>spend 2 hours on boss
>come here ask for help
>DUDE JUST SPAM AXE/FIRECRACKER LOL
>beat them in 1 try

Attached: 1491685128237.gif (600x313, 860K)

user there's another miniboss like that
he's below Isshin's room after Ashina castle gets set on fire right before you go to fight the final boss
past the fog wall that was in poison pool, in the big room that leads to mibu village

More projecting?

No they aren't, it's a different fight.

So I spirited away the fat dude near the entrance in Senpou Temple. Is that supposed to do anything?

>Empowered Mortal Draw
Holy shit, a combat art that actually does damage.

I beat Ogre in 1 try,
General Horseriding Fuckface in 1,
and Burning Bull in 2 because I did a dumb fucking thing the first time.

A-am I gonna make it bros, its not nearly as hard as people were making it out to be so far.
Definitely easier than DaS thus far on my first playthrough, but still comfortably difficult.

>Accidentally killed Anayama in the past thinking he was another bandit
>He isn't around to sell shit
So does this call for a restart? I just got to Blazing Bull

Yes

Where do you get the spear?

Thank you user you fill my dark soul with light.

You get the opening by jumping. He swings past you, you get 2/3 jump attacks in and possibly a normal swing if you are truly at his back.

>Spent a majority of his lifetime mastering his two-hit technique
>Dumpstered in 12 seconds

I'm at what I'm assuming is the final boss against Genichiro in the field where the wolf lost his arm. Wondering if it's too late to get the "return" ending. I only have the dried fruit.

Oh shit, my mistake.

He lives in the hall of illusions after that. He'll give you an ok posture consumable.

Yes, you fucking ruined him. Why the fuck would you teleport that nigga to a surgeon in some dark ass dungeon full of corpses
HE JUST WANTED A FLOWER NIGGER

Attached: 1552750602339.jpg (1078x1052, 71K)

Ape with his head attached is a spastic farting ass-grabbing shitheel.

Undead ape is slow and predictable and you can run behind him out of reach of his sword and he won't even fart on you.

Its an online message board and the person I was interacting with had already proven himself to be a liar. Its a safe assumption you are him and saying "I'm a different guy" is just bullshit.

It doesn't matter however because you support his faggotry even if you aren't him. Regardless though you are also trash. I'm done with you. I've wasted enough time on you mongoloids.

Kill the 2 guys on the bridge
Drop off bridge and head back to where the game first started
If you remember, the you crouched under a house at the start
Head back to that house, unlock the door and the spear is in there

You can send him to the hall of illusions, you mong. He hangs out with the ghosts of the dead children there.

Wait how do you know when to jump or when to dodge left or right?

I remember the tooltips saying something about this.

The difficulty of those boses is far overstated on Yea Forums. Its souls players in their adjustment period. You'll hear people say Genichiro is a difficult fight as well, it's not. Butterfly is overblown as well.

w-what bridge?

You probably have good reflexes, so you'll be fine.

Go to that place where you kill the 4 monkies, he’s just chilling there waiting to give you fruit.

Those are bosses to get you used to parrying and jumping instead of trying to dodge everything.

Yeah I tried that but some times I would accidentaly jump into his thrust or just jump to the wrong direction so I think that way is safer for me. But if that works for you great, that means you can kill him even faster.

has anyone managed to kill Genichiro at the beginning fight at the start of the game? I assume it's one of those "obviously expected to lose but possible to beat if you're insane" kind of boss fights?

Attached: 7864.jpg (573x608, 53K)

If a red kanji appears over your head, the move is unblockable. What kind of attack is coming depends, you'll have to watch the animation. Grabs you just avoid with dodges or running. Thrusts you mikiri counter. Sweeps you jump over.

I finally killed lady B
I got so frustrated waiting for an opportunity to hit I started rage parrying everything in last phase after I used up my last sippy and actually killed her faster because I landed everything

Are Isshin Ashina and Sword Saint Isshin the same person? I'm hella confused what the fuck that final boss was about lore wise

Are you talking about those 2 guys that's talking about fatso with bell?

...

someone attacks you from offscreen and then he cuts your arm anyway and spouts some bullshit about honor

you only get a slightly different cutscene if you do, it's not actually worth it.

When the smoke signals end near a broken roof there's a oni helm ministry fighting a fatty ashina guy, drop down and there's a stairway in a building that'll lead you to the reservoir

Yeah I did and the game ends

It's the true good ending

yes theyre having a conversation

>Being proud of beating up an old lady
Congrats.

So, just to be sure - I didn't go for the Purification ending, instead I'm doing the Return ending. Am I cucked from gathering all the prayer beads? Or is the Hirata estate still getting new minibosses? Don't care about Owl 2.0, just the beads

you jump off the plank down to the snakes head to deathblow it

Yeah, you get a cutscene where Genichiro drops to the ground and calls you a bastard. Then a Nightjar ninja distracts Wolf with a shuriken and Genichiro cuts his arm off.

When you finally master the deflect and every chinkshitter becomes your bitch

Don't chase the bull like a retard. Think like the ninja you're supposed to be
Get close to a wall and let it charge you then jump off the walls to get behind him, beat his ass a little, then when he runs away, repeat
The doorway near where he charges out from makes this much easier, and he can't really do shit to you while there

Which prosthetic is this?

Attached: WhichToolIsThis.png (1440x900, 2.1M)

what's the locked mushin art below the top right one?
where did that manlet seller went after talking to him in cave after flying kite? isnt there at his usual house

So if it's a red symbol it could be a thrust, sweep, or grab?

Thrust=Miki counter
Grab= dodge left/right
Sweep=jump
?

If so then that why I keep fucking up I thought I could miriki counter whenever the red symbol popped up.

Also anyone have any tooptips on shinobi Hunter?

>tfw getting BTFO'd so hard by those faggots on castle rooftops that I fell down and had to go to some other places instead
Did I fuck up?

Why do I never see people deflect the entire flurry? You get a cool swords draen stand off animation after deflecting the final strike. Kino as fuck. You also never jump countered the sweep, instead opting for a counter strike.

I just beat the game and got credits.

Is there any way I can get to the demon of hatred or have I gone to far? All Ashina outskirts memorials are not accessible and I can't find a way in.

Attached: 1551665588495.png (430x763, 238K)

damn, made it look easy
how long did you have to grind it out for

The confetti is like a shittier version of the transient curse. I need them for Orin and the upcoming monk fight but apparently they are limited and unpurchaceable until after those fights

Thanks to the user who brought up using the puppet ninjitsu on Vilehand's lackey. It was amusing going 2v1 on the little shit

Attached: smug book fujiwara.jpg (382x492, 59K)

Go do tutorial fights with undead guy at sculptor's place.
He will teach you all the basics.
Also shinobi hunter uses spear so expect most of his red attacks to be thrust.

I liked Guardian Ape's design. The fact that he literally picks up his head and screams through the throat opening causing blood to spray everywhere is one of the most rad shit I've ever seen in vidya. The other parts of his moveset are also extremely well-animated.

upload to youtube if you're so proud

That's right, although grabs have pretty big hitboxes sometimes, so you might need to create more space than a single dodge. Also when you jump over a sweep, if you do a double jump at the right moment you'll jump off their head and do extra posture damage.

>nearing end of game
>just got to Demon of Hatred
>2/4 prayer beads for another necklace
>absolutely no fuckimg idea where I could've missed a miniboss

Kek post a pic

just so you guys know, don't sleep on divine abduction
that shit turns enemies around and gives you a free backstab
INCREDIBLY useful against dickish enemies like the dual sword red guards

>sword saint
what genius thought these cutscenes was a good idea

Is it me or does the NPC quest progression seem particularly lackluster this time around?

you can only mikiri if it's a thurst

The bridge behind the castle is there so you can go backwards. In the beginning of the game the bridge isn't there and it makes you go down into the canyon where the snake part happens. (the bridge is in that place where the merchant that sold the shield was)

what controller are you using

2 hours I think but I started a new playthrough after getting raped by the guardian ape.

fromsoft had the same problem with the first darksouls. go to device manager and pause the "HID compliant controller options" i cant fucking believe fromsoft STILL has this problem, specially when DS 2 and 3 dont.

Attached: bullshit.jpg (1500x692, 490K)

The abduction fan, I wanna say off the top of my head.

Why are the graphics worse than Dark souls 3?

How do you stealth O'rin of the Water like OP pic? I go behind her and it doesn't appear

He keeps wrecking my shit as soon as phase 3 hits. I feel like I'm too nervous for this shit

Attached: sekiro.exe 2019.03.25 - 23.29.13.58.DVR.webm (960x540, 2.94M)

Talking to her when you meet her seems to get rid of it forever.

throw ceramic frag on her and mash r1

its not bullshit. its a very clever phrase implying that sekiro shouldve finished him off right away, but he also admits his loss so to speak (because his honor is one thing, but the victory is other, thats what his shinobi who threw the shuriken thinks, to whom the latter is more important).

I really want new WotS game with Sekiro's combat system or something similar.

Attached: 1533916974725.jpg (1280x720, 55K)

There's a shinobi kite hanging over the ashina castle rooftops you can grapple onto, to reach ashina outskirts.

I found a big gecko hanging on the underside of a bridge. What do I do with him?

Its actually not that hard especially after you've beaten Genchiro in the main game as he has the same moveset only easier.
He panics and is about to get executed, but one of the nightjar ninjas tosses a shuriken at Sekiro, and the distraction is long enough for Genichiro to cut off Sekiro's arm as normal. Only other difference is instead of saying 'lol is that all what a bitch' he says 'w-well its not a real gank you were cheating too so its still an honorable win!'
Its just a little easter egg thing (and a way to make no death run attempts have an early entry barrier)

>9
i really want a tenchu game but i guess this is all im getting.

I feel like something's not entirely clicking with the combat for me. I'm at Lady Butterfly and am getting my ass utterly handed to me. Deflecting her attacks with perfect parries (I'm assuming they're the perfect ones since there's a loud ass clang) seems utterly pointless since whenever I try and deal a quick strike after, she instantly blocks it with her kicks. Thrust attacks are my main source of damage in getting to her second phase but that strategy is out the window come the second phase.

I wish, it lets you backstab low to midtier enemies but the high tier purple robed super ninjas at the lategame have too much awareness to be defeated by such a flimsy prosthetic.

Attached: sekiro-lone-shadow-longswordsman-1212x682.jpg (1212x682, 81K)

I just stayed close to him the whole fight and kept mashing R1 with deflects inbetween

also worked pretty well for grandma butterfly

Attached: 1481409819197.png (502x502, 141K)

Phase 2 is very easy compared to the first. Just jump when he shoots lightning and reverse it. He also takes more physical damage compared to phase 1

Someone said if you jump on her head and do the kick before you talk to her you can get a stealth hit. No idea if it works cause I haven't tried it myself

>has a fart attack that inflicts poison
I fucking loved that shit, and not just all that disgusting stuff, but all his animations and death gimmick too. Here I was thinking this game wouldn't have any memorable bosses.

Attached: 1477283150819.jpg (292x257, 23K)

Dodge to the side
Attack
Dodge to the side
Attack
Do that forever until you win

i didn't fix the cropping because fuck you that's why

you mean the weapon? katana was the most prestigeous weapon you could have at the time period

Spiral Cloud Passage? Cost is 9 points

How do I progress the carp sidequest? The big fish is missing and his caretaker is crying, pot guy in the flashback keeps asking for more scale even though I can't buy anything from him anymore.

Attached: 1546383456244.jpg (800x800, 133K)

Throw a ceramic shard. Might take a few tries because you can't aim it, just look a bit to the right

of course it doesn't work on minibosses, retard
it works on every standard enemy that isn't a giant

That's just a plain old small enemy. Nothing special.

two are locked behind an ending.

okie dokie, time to shuriken the fucker's gay little head

it literally tells you what it fucking does when you get it

what? this game has more npcs and their little sidethings than all their previous souls combined.
honestly i was disappointed in the first hours but the longer i go the more i like the game, this is better than dark souls 1 at this point.
really like the world, combat, exploration, skill system, and how well it all clashes together while being so beautiful too. there is no such "wholeness" in any souls.

how do i beat spear guy? the one that is located near the place where you meet the little master in the beginning.

I need fucking fulminated mercury, god damn, where do I go? I need the blue flame sword for fucking demon of hatred.

The game tells you as you begin fighting her, to dodge and strike her.
Posture recovery is slowed down as health decreases, at 50-60% boss health winning on posture becomes much easier.

I think the most I've taken to beat a boss is four attempts and I just beat the real corrupted monk at Fountainhead.

I still hit ABSOLUTELY SEETHING after the second death because I consider the first to just be testing them out. If you were better at the game you would probably still get angry because that is who you are. You would just do it after fewer deaths.

Is anything in mushin arts really good? Finding skills that are actually worthwhile is hard compared to just dumping skill points into more attack power.

is cheating an option?

There's a lategame enemy type that looks and acts exactly like that miniboss though.

Yes, except for if you plan a tactic for fighting the shining hunter, which is keep his posture up from afar with shurikens and fish for his thrust to mikiri counter it, I beat him first try
It is not the game that's bad, if it was, no one would be beating it, you just LITERALLY suck at it

Where is the location of the sakura bull in the palace?

I don't like to deflect that because I'm not that good with parries and unless you parry it perfectly you lose a lot of posture which makes it harder to keep the uptime.

It does not work on purple ninjas even outside of them being minibosses
It also doesn't work on red-hatted little old women assassins
Really its not a very good prosthetic by the time you get it

If you fed the big fish the special bait, try looking in the guardian apes arena.

it's like I'm really playing monster hunter

go backwards from the flower viewing bonfire, either grapple up to the roof or just walk around the outside of the building

does it kill everyone in sight?
it better fucking do at that cost, otherwise i'll just continue to swing my mortal blade with some rare double overheads.

I just got the stone and it's telling me to go into the wedding tent thing but nothing happens, what do I do next? Ashina castle is completely blocked and I can't go in

>find and see a branch off this bridge
>Go to this area
>Wall jump to another place
>Fucking purple ninja appears

JUST HOW MANY SECRET AREAS DOES THIS GAME HAVE HOLY SHIT I feel like I'm playing dark souls 1 and ending up in different places that I'm not even prepared for.

Attached: IMG_20190325_235448.jpg (1920x1080, 478K)

You need to progress through the ending that lets you go back to Hirata estate: Turbo Mode Edition.

What am I supposed to do with the kite at Senpou Temple? The little dude up the hill talks about the assassin that likes flying kites but when I kill said assassin and interact with the kite nothing noteworthy happens.

It's pretty much only good against the blue robed samurai in ashina castle. Every other enemy it works on can be easily defeated by R1 spam.

Attached: bravo.jpg (727x867, 107K)

which one, I think I can do any of them at this point

What's the point of bonfire after you killed grandma?

Where does the midget vendor hang out after the castle? I still need the scroll from him.

How do I Demon of Hatred?

thrust counter over and over, and you can backstab him by using the same route you used in the beginning of the game.

wtf that's random as af
thanks

Use puppet ninjutsu.

Is the scroll worth it?

just spam dodge hits she cant really deal with it. when shes in air throw a star or two at her. in second phase run around from phantoms or her magic shooty shit. thats it, enjoy your damage upgrade.

Hirata Owl one

Is it still possible to get the purification ending if I missed the eavesdrop right after killing Owl?

Is that by giving frozen tears, everblossom, or nothing? Or is it in the Owl ending?

Thanks user.

you could give the rice to the poor lady who asked for it and she'd tell you.

You don't need them for orin
Just jump on her head when she does her sweep
Never popped a single confetti against orin, her posture doesn't recover fast enough for vitality to really matter
Also corrupted monk just spam snap sees until its at 50% health then use one confetti and firecrackers to take the rest of it down, its an easy one shot with that cheese. Save the real fight for the real monk.
Otherwise Confetti is intentionally made so you can't just brute force the optional minibosses that give unique rewards without some kind of hard limit.

If I give Kotaro the red and white thing then send him to guard can I give him the pure white one later after I buy everything from the merchant?

How in the fuck do you beat Headless? This terror bullshit is retarded.

You need mindcontrol jutsu desu

>Beat demon of hatred
>his last words
I knew it was gonna hurt, but damn did it hurt.
Too bad the translation fucked up once again.

Attached: YOURE_THE_BEST_AROUND.png (1440x900, 1.23M)

I had to look it up online to figure out what was going on.

yeah like he said all of those are just for getting you used to mechanics, first real boss is [Spoiler]genichiro

rot in hell you flaming cunt, I don't give a shit who you were

Its the everblossom ending I think
The one where you eavesdrop on Kuro, talk to Emma a few times in a few different places, then eavesdrop on Emma and the Scullpter and talk to Emma again.
She'll give you a bell and you go back to Hirata with it only its just at the actual flaming castle part and you fight Adam from YMS as well as the drunkard only now every hit actually does one shot you, each of whom give a bead.
You can also fight 'Now I'm actually trying' Owl, but he's legit harder than sword saint and you only need to beat him to get the Shota goes on an Adventure ending

>he didn't get the kino capture

Attached: 814380_20190325232418_1.jpg (1920x1080, 585K)

There is literally no opening on the illusion corrupted monk. It maxes your posture and then you just have to keep deflecting. How do I actually attack it?

>1 (one) divine grass
That's it? Really?

Attached: 1548012808861.jpg (496x630, 32K)

Make like Thanos and snap at em

What is wrong with the translation

TP to ashina tower and farm the mooks at the stairs that are fighting each other with bell demon+mibu possession balloons+golden fab fans

Why the fuck does this game crash so much

>snowing
>suddenly lightning
>he fucks off

>snowing again

nani

Attached: 1536434836704.png (283x292, 98K)

I rang the bell before Genichiro and have played with it on for the rest of the game, you get a shit load of drops but does it actually make the game harder.

I want to say yes because the fountainhead corrupted monk was nearly centipede-tier in how much she attacked

thanks, need to get better at timing my shit then.

user
he gave you his arm

They omit his last line entirely, where he calls you his dear friend.

nvm just rested and everything makes sense now

if i assemble mask does it go with me to the ngplus? im torn between buying fragment or art from scales.

works on my machine

Has anyone else had the game crash on them? Happened to me twice so far.

You take like 20 to 30 percent more damage from bosses but it might be lower. I think it makes their posture damage higher in addition to the damage.

Oh welp, looks like I'm shit out of luck then, as Sculptor's gone already

yes

Use the fistfull of ash and firecrackers whenever you can on him to get chip damage on his health to build posture and maintain it easier.

never once on my machine
which cpu barely handles game

>if i assemble mask does it go with me to the ngplus?
Yes.

Works perfectly on my PS4.

Does the snap instakill the illusion monk?

I think they're different people? Isshin Ashina is your bro like the whole game and readily accepts that he's dying. Genichiro's whole shtick is really weird, everyone else is more or less fine with Ashina getting assimilated including the very people he was taken in by when he was young.

So how are you actually supposed to fight corrupted monk? He's been the hardest fight for me so far and I eventually managed to beat him by just running about and hoping he does moves that don't hit me and that I can punish. I gave up on blocking because it just seemed useless and it seems like you have to kill him through vitality rather than posture

>There is literally no opening on the illusion corrupted monk.
There's plenty, you only need Nightjar slash to get in.
Her five swing combo leaves her open, her upper halberd slash after a swipe leaves her open, her two downward slashes leave her open, don't be shy nigga, just get in.

>tfw refreshing it before it dies for double the ganking

It’s not random, they say that the source of the fountainhead water flows directly to that place. That’s why the flower is there

ashina castle opens up WAY TOO MUCH SHIT. i've been to like five different new areas already and i haven't even finished exploring the back side of the castle OR been to the top

also does anyone else hate the miniboss focus? sometimes it feels like entire areas are just excuses to have a generic miniboss with the same moveset as a generic mook + 1 new attack that drops a single prayer bead. In DS it always feels like the area exists to lead you somewhere or to be a challenge in its own right or to have a really cool treasure or things like that, but every area in this game is just "stealth kill mooks -> pick up 2-3 upgrade materials -> kill miniboss -> repeat". And when they do break the mold it's retardation like long shadow longswordsman that you fight in the tiniest fucking area because they couldn't give him a decently-sized arena without building an entire area around him and they couldn't imagine just letting you explore another area without putting a dude in your way

I'm also curious about this.

Now this is kino. Shame it was a gimmick fight, pretty still cool though.

Attached: sekirO.png (1921x1079, 1.46M)

I have a R5 2600 and RX 580, crashes often

Where can I find more Persimmons?

Same setup, never crashed on me.

Currently on my third playthrough, and so far beaten all the bosses in my first attempt. Only just done the Seven Spears guy in the reservoir but at least it means I am getting better.

It stuns it and does a chunk of damage, and if you have enough you can spam it down to half HP (at that point it stops doing anything)
run in, buff confetti and equip snaps as boss is spawning, run up and snap-attack-snap-attack until it's at half health, then after the last snap go to town with either flowing water or just whatever you can do to shit damage out as fast as possible. Should bring it down to a quarter of vitality before it can seriously react and that's plenty of time for your confetti buff to stay on to finish any big sweeps she makes with openings on the tail end.

Where do I go after beating Monkey Trouble?

You can block every single attack outside of phase 3's centipede vomit.
She throws you offguard with her slow swings but rest assured, you can block everything, it's just her very unusual speed that fucks you up because up to that point you're used to mach speed while she's deliberately slow.

Anyone know how to complete the surgeon quest? I give him everything that he asked for and now every time I go back he's still locked in the room terrified. That can't be the end right?

>Centipede Giraffe
It didn't take me too many tries to beat him, but Jesus Christ, this guy is more relentless than the Outrider Knights from DaS3. If he had another health bar or two, I'd be fucked, I only won because I kept healing.

im not sure myself, prob different, maybe same, mushin art description implies there is some ishin who is real good with the sword and collected all the techniques, thats probably him
ashino ishin is probably that friendly lanklet ninja dude because hes the one who makes a name sekiro for you, and only ishin calls you sekiro once. also if youre slow with acquiring mushin art book (which you get by unlocking last skill of any tree and talking to ninja dude) you can get it from ishin instead.
maybe they are all the same people?
feels bad being brainlet

i will bring honor to your dojo

I did, but he drains my posture like mad.

>BEGONE

From can't into combat. Everyone knows that. Sekiro is a step in the right direction towards an almost flawless game, but as it is now Nioh still BTFOs From games in combat and builds.

Well no Ashina Isshin is obviously Tengu, he has the mask and outfit hanging in his room and Sekiro even says 'wait, you're...' when you first meet him.

How to earn more sen? I'm still farming the 3 midgets but there's gotta be a faster way. I just killed Baboon.

>Nioh still BTFOs From games in combat and builds
The RPG elements and enemy design in Nioh are trash.

I'm 99% precent sure I know what you guys are talking about, but I didn't see any merchant there. Just a giant angry chicken.

This is the area right before the cannon guy and the chained ogre, right? With the old lady with the Hirata bell?

You can mikiri his kick in case you didn't know. The fight's honestly not that hard just block, mikiri and jump (if he has a sweep, I can't remember). Don't try to dodge, this isn't a souls game

>Why is combat so tedious?
Because it's an RPG in disguise and you haven't figured out the OP build for dealing with whatever you're currently fighting. You're having a bad time because you're playing Dark Souls with the starting weapon without upgrading any gear.

Some of the skills in this game are just busted.

I'm in the same boat, I think shit's fucked. I couldn't progress it after giving her 3 persimmons.

>tfw when you destroy these niggas once and for all once you get the mortal blade

Hardest part of monkey trouble is the first phase.

Yeah, but the combat and build variety shit all over From games. I really hope sometime we get a perfect blend of the two.

ROBERTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

MY NAAAAAAAAAAME

Not sure I wanna get good of combat remains this tedious for the rest of the game. Just not worth it sometimes

My nigga, I got 600 hours in Nioh. A shame this game is profound kino in every other area. I’m not sure I even want to try and master the combat though seems like not too good of a time desu with yew

Guys, in Fountainhead Palace on the left there's a plateau with a pagoda, a bonfire and what seems like an NPC. I can't reach it by jumping. Any advice?

IIIISS
SHAKE ZULA THE MIC RULA

Yep.

The combat is hampered by its retarded Diablo loot and shitty enemies. The stances system is cool, but the combat is way too based around numbers and mashing.

Oh shit is that thing not killable? I didn't even attempt to fight it

Talk to Kuro

ONIWA GYOUBU MASATAKA NARI

Double ape was piss easy the ape with a head has almost no health

I thought you guys said madam butterfly was hard? I got passed her first phase easy as fuck. Second phase was easy too except when she summoned some shadows.

Something bad is going to happen to this rice loli I just met isn't it?

You can kill it but it regenerates.

shit

why did they slap jap mask on the imported titanium alloy armor and how is it still invulnerable after that modification?

I've only been playing for a couple of hours, but am I alone in thinking the combat is really...simple?

It feels like all the challenge and complexity in this game is entirely centered around the defensive mechanics. Meanwhile the "swing the sword" part of my moveset feels so tiny that it's actively hampering my enjoyment of the game.

Does it get more mechanically interesting later on?

Old habits die hard. I’m not very good at partying this guy either with his 7 bit combos. No idea what mikiri is but maybe I’ll come back after I get it then

Honestly sounds like Kuro wants the wolf dick.

Holy shit is the purple guy that hard? I ran back down and then walljumped back and then backstabbed his ass

Is the item behind him worth it?

She's really hard the first time you reach phase 2 and realize that the ghosts turn into homing missiles you need to run from.

There's a cherry blossom tree by a waterfall if you keep going along that wall, there's a cave you can grapple to there.

another pillar, bigger, look around old woman area

The game finally clicked to me, I just trashed the guy behind the giant red eyes monster. When I finally realized it, suddenly everything became easier. This game is unfair.

The game throws you in a bunch of unfair situations and expects you to win, if you are fighting a miniboss you will be ganged and surrounded, an enemy that grabs will be in a cliff, spears in hallways.

You cant win all these fights fighting fair, so why fucking fight fair? You are a god damn shinobi, not a retarded samurai. The enemy is staggerable? Just reduce his stamina away with shurikens and then go for the kill. Is the enemy weak to fire? Just pop some oil, fire and hit him when he is staggered. Miniboss is with some minions? Pick them one by one. Fuck fighting fair head on, surround, gank them, stealth away from situations, move around from the battlefield, this isnt dark souls where you can fight every enemy ahead on, you have resources so fucking use them.

Was I not supposed to kill that guy who feeds the carp? I just got the whiskers and I'm not sure what do with them now.

I saw I can get two mask parts from two vendors. What are those for?

best gimmick boss in the series
>mfw I'm spider-thor

Attached: 1523508032917.png (483x701, 311K)

you know you arent obliged to kill enemies to get items near them right?
you arent even playing as some honorabru samurai.

Install DS4 software and hide ds4 in options.

What the fuck is wrong with the lock on in this game? It keeps breaking for no reason. Especially in bossfights. Its fucking awful. How do you fuck up programming something so basic?

Making a mask

update motherboard bios if you havent in a while. lots of memory issues been fixed.

just watch for the anime shine on his sword

The ogre fight should go like this:

>stealth kill cone hat man, fuck up other samurai
>run around the ogre while he's breaking free, kill spearman hiding in corner
>drop down ledge and loop around to lose the ogres aggro, while getting behind him
>stealth attack ogre, then just keep your distance, attacking when he tries to randy savage your ass and misses
>win

Sure I had some trouble, but it's really not that hard once you learn how to do it. Claiming that enemies are appearing out of the air just to stab you is disingenuous, I know you can do better than this

Attached: FullSizeR.jpg (558x542, 106K)

The completed mask allows you to trade in skill points for a str increase

As far as these cinematic sort of boss fight go I did enjoy the spectacle of it, and you still kind of need to pay attention to not die.

Attached: 1552352036083.png (333x254, 153K)

>got everything Kuro asked for
>try to teleport back to him
>idols got turned off
I swear to god if someone kidnapped my cool noble kid again I'm gonna lose it

wtf is divine mist and where is the three storey pagoda
divine retribution did nothing at the bamboo thicket with the spear monks

Doesn’t effect bosses m8

Just spam the block button. You don't need tight timing, and if you spam the button it treats it as you blocking the whole time. You don't need to parry everything, just blocking is good enough. Taking hits just because you weren't blocking is the dumbest way to take hits in this game.
Also mikiri is a combat art you get super early on, I imagine you probably already have it or can at least get it soon. Basically you dash into lunges and you do a special counter that does a tonne of posture damage and with most enemies gives you a free hit on them. It's extremely good against any enemies that lunge a lot. Countering whatever moves your opponents like to do a lot is a huge part of this game. Also remember you can jump and then do a kick counter against enemies that sweep, that's essentially the sweep equivalent to a mikiri

Wait a second, I got the butterfly shuriken upgrade piece from the offering box.

The infested are immortal until you get the mortal blade, then you have to execute them twice to get rid of the centipede demon.

The combat is far from tedious. If you git gud you can literally drop bosses in 5 minutes. You're just clearly playing it wrong.

Grats m8, I’m getting closer and closer to beating him as well. Fuck second phase

>3 scales away from mask
>can't find anymore
Fug

Nope

You get a bunch later on

Ape is such a badly designed boss. It's basically a chalice dungeon boss that got ported. No good boss relies on RNG luck on some of their bullshit moves.

Yeah. The second time I fought her I realized that I could just stand behind a pillar and the homing attacks don't even touch me.

Also I fucking love the firecracker prosthetic. It's great.

I missed the jar guy at the divine place, is he any different from the version in the memory?

Where do I get more persimmons? I found one by the broken bridge in Mt. Kongo and another I got from Kotaro, both I gave to Divine Child but it seems like I can still give her more.

you can always return
it does

There's no RNG in that fight though? 2ape is shit, but the first one is fine.

>defeat the Shinobi Hunter
>clear the entire area past him
>loose all health and rejuvanation, but everyone's dead so it doesn't matter
>come to a courtyard and a building on fire
>look around
>leap around
>somehow land in a burning part of the building and die the final death
>"Sekiro must shut down for a mandatory update to procede"

Did I mess up so badly the game manufacture itself is laughing at me?

Where do I go after the guardian ape?

I'm extremely confused: where do you progress in Mt. Senpou? I've got their combat text and spoken to the head monk at the temple idol and defeated the miniboss with the claws. Where do I go from here?

Also: How far am I into this game?
>still fighting Genichiro
>just mentioned where I am in Senpou
>haven't fought that warrior with the purple spirits in the dungeon yet
>have cleared the Reservoir

Attached: Street Fighter.jpg (1680x1050, 834K)

oh, really?
Well...no shit?

So once I reach endgame, is there anything I'm locked out of?

Genocide the monkeys

So is there really nowhere to buy more snap seeds?

Should I be doing something with these snake viscera? I'm on the Owl fight now.

Someone on Yea Forums said there is a secret NPC you can find the first time you see the snake. They said you have to make a blind jump or something onto a secret ledge and if you stab the snake in the eye while hiding in that thing the snake destroys the thing you need to grapple when its flailing around. Im on my second run and I cant find this place, is this true?

Get back to the castle and climb the roof to progress the story.

>Fight Rape Ape like 3 times
>Do Ashina Castle and its minibosses like 3 times
>Fight Genichiro 3 times
>Fight Corrupt Monk twice

Why the fuck was there so much recycling in this?

>exploring old areas after I killed Owl
>2ape is fucking real
Okay what's the best way to deal with this? I can't deal with either individually without getting fucked up.

I'm at the final boss but I spent them all jewels and super secret ninja techniques.

Oh, so you need to beat Genichiro first? alright

how to kill?

Attached: Sekiro'smask.jpg (720x410, 71K)

ok so I've gotten the severance ending and wanted to run around collecting anything I might have missed before moving on to ng+
so far I've done everything that's available in the return ending before it doesn't let me do any more cause I've already done one
and then I've also gone and killed all the headless and the shichimen warriors
oh yeah also I bought out the fish guy's stock and gave the whisker to the big guy and all that, but the fish is still hanging around calling for more scales?

Should I keep pushing for Ashina castle or beat butterfly first?

2ape is ez, you don't even need to hit the brown one, just keep throwing firecrackers at it then it'll posture break itself.

Much appreciated, user. This has been driving me nuts.

What in the literal fuck are you talking about.

what monk? where? looks like i missed something
to finish temple you ring the bell 5 meters from main hall bonfire, smack monkey ass and get sword. then you get to other areas for all that aroma shit.

tfw too dumb to set up ps4 controller on pirated copy

how do i kill chained ogre

Are they drops? I thought they're key items.

if you use any of the arm shit against any boss mini or otherwise you're a fucking scrub and you should go back to fortnite. perfect deflects are the only TRUE way to conquer this game.

>butterfly first
>horse
>genichiro
>4 monkeys
>ape / 2nd round
>corrupted monk

Honestly had a lot more trouble with mini bosses overall compared to the main bosses

>tfw no summons

How so. I did it just fine.

He was baiting.

What all the other anons told you is correct. Weirdly though, I seemed to have a much easier time when I didnt use my lock on, and I'm not really sure why, but I suppose it might be worth giving it a try

So for anyone who's finished the game, how replayable is Sekiro? I know there's NG+ and Demon bell and multiple endings and everything, but that's not really what I'm concerned with. Is there enough variance in what you can tackle early on in the game to make repeat playthroughs for the purpose of just playing through fun? Can you get useful upgrades early by rushing through harder areas? It seems pretty open, which was something that made Dark Souls 1 so fun to replay, so I'm just wondering.

also maybe you need to ring after genichiro because you only get a reason to go at the temple after him

He's right ahead of me when I spawn in the main hall. Gold hat.

When am I gonna get a mod that swaps Sekiro for Rikimaru from Tenchu?

What RNG? It sounds like you're just making up some shit because you can't come to terms with the fact that you're bad.

Nvm found it

The regular ones are normal consumable items
