The problem is that Baba does not occupy a normal-ish world. Ghost and Slugcat both have world that operate similarly to ours, whereas Baba lives in a world built minimalistically out of abstract concepts so it’s unrealistic to expect Baba to have the same power in a normal arena

We assume Baba sees all interactions on his plane and can interact with them at baseline rather than them basically being totems.

It would be interesting to imagine then, in this case, all of the Knight and cat's interactions coded in a gigantic wall of babatext, complete with their AI, much like the simple snake and platforms games that have been made. Core concepts would be at the very center and complex moves would be on the exterior, so baba would have to frantically disassemble them before they got to him.
Of course he has infinite time to do this, but a puzzle battle where he has to do so as efficiently as possible as time progresses would be neat

The knight only has a chance if we are using fair sizes (all around the same height) and not realistic ones.
Even with all the charms in the game he is still the size of a pea, and the largest I'm willing to put the shade lord at is the size of a hamster.
Slugcat I would argue is the safest bet, and would most likely win if the knight was tiny and had spears nearby.
As for BABA, I'll tell the truth that I haven't played the steam release; However, I did beat the Gamejam version, so I have some understanding of what he can do.
His victory entirely depends on how many words he is given, and if he is quick enough to fuck up the rules controlling the knight or slugcat via pushing a key word out of the way.
Knight wins if they are using fair sizes, Slugcat wins if they are using realistic sizes.

Rain World is literally the kind of game every single "Artsy" hack has been trying for all this time. 100% of the game's themes delivered through gameplay, and if you want a proper story dump you have to do some serious challenges. Also, easy mode fucks you out of a lot of content while hardmode recontextualizes everything.

It's one of my favorite games I've ever played.

It's very polarizing. On one end, the mechanics of the game can be pretty obtuse at times. The tutorial teaches you the absolute minimum and then flings you into the world.
You are given a general idea of where to go by an eyeball worm thing, but can go wherever you please. The game has some pretty steep learning curves when it comes to dealing with enemies.

Hollow Knight is a standard platformer whereas Rainworld is almost a simulation. There's no real "Fairness" in Rainworld, sometimes the predators are just in your way and you have to wait for later or put yourself in danger to push past. Also, Rainworld is a LOT more lethal.

Rain World is an experience. Doesn't care if the player is having fun or not.
Hollow Knight is fun and the devs specifically made the game because they wanted to have fun.

So keep that in mind.

I wish "Ghost" was what the devs officially referred to him as. Calling him "the Knight" is annoying when he's already confused with the actual Hollow Knight. Plus I don't even think he qualifies as a knight since he was never under the king's employ. He's garbage that got thrown out.
