Are there any good games that deal heavily in the occult?

Are there any good games that deal heavily in the occult?

I think a good starting place for the occult-lite could be dark corners of the earth.

Where did you pick up this interest OP, interested in knowing your story.

Too bad DCotE is a horrible fucking drag to actually, y'know, play.

spooky what now?

True true, man the occult really is a niche out of niches, as far as vidya goes.

How do I into this series? I tried playing 1 but didn't enjoy the actual gameplay, although the world was cool

Don't worry. She doesn't notice.

Try 3 (Nocturne) and 4, or Strange Journey if you enjoy first person dungeon crawlers. I is primitive and insanely broken, II is a lot better. If you like SRPGs there are the Devil Survivor games which keep the Law vs Chaos theme of the main series.

Since you asked, Eternal Darkness. But something more recent? The new Call of Cthulhu is great! Normies rished through the game and didnt actually play it fully to have the best occult experience and to have their occult waifu sacrifice themselves for u

what's the rpg game that's coming out soon that nobody cares about? the magic system in that looks decent.

but short answer is no, it would be great to have to spend time tracking down and researching dark spells, performing the rituals correctly, negotiating with demons, etc

>what's the rpg game that's coming out soon that nobody cares about?

World of Horror?

read umineko. it's a visual novel and not quite a video game but it got me into drawing pentacles for fun. If you're already into the occult you're going to understand a lot of shit that goes on before the protagonist does

a shame this game sucked so much compared to the rest

Bible Black
Seriously

Nocturne is the starting point. You'll know which direction you want to go in after you play that one since theres several games you could play next depending on what you liked about Nocturne.

This guy gets it

Fatal frame

are there any occult stuff about a little fit in your hand sized doll that dances?

Atlus has really esoteric games. SMT, Persona, Nocturne, etc, are filled with occult references. Am an /x/fag and it has some solid integration of the archetypes of the tarot

how interested do you need to be in order to be considered interested in occult stuff? I assume everyone has some passing interest in it, but that's usually just to the point of "oh that's interesting" or "I wonder what is going on with these secret societies" rather than delving deep into any topics or posting about shit on /x/

Completely depends on who you're talking to. To be an occultist arguably requires actual practice in at least one esoteric tradition not just fleeting curiosity and study.
Bear in mind most occultists are somewhere on the spectrum of either pseudo intellectual or psychotic. /x/ posters especially

Super mario 64

Gonna second this

Cultist Simulator

I quite enjoyed cultist simulator but I honestly didn't find the writing all that interesting. discovering how things worked was absolutely fantastic though, even if it was incredibly daunting at first

Yugioh's had some nice occult easter eggs/references from late-5D's era onwards, picking up heavily during Arc-V.

Secret World

There are different kind of RPGs for SMT.
Try Raidou if you don't like turn-based.

Koudelka would be a good place to start

all MP games are great
fuck off

I can't think of any games with good occult bassed mechanics
the closest I can think of is Arx Fatalis with its janky sigil system

>tfw no underpass dwelling bf

what the flying fuck is everything in thing in that image
i want magic powers so I can wipe out all non-whites

No, faggot. Read a book.

Books. Get reading, and try not to summon a demon unless you're 100% certain you can control it, of course

Attached: mood_not_meme.gif (66x142, 130K)

tfw banned for fucking around in ruzone

What is the Holy Mountain of vidya?
