In this thread, we continue to discuss From's magnum opus.
In this thread, we continue to discuss From's magnum opus
>Thrust sword through enemy heart
>He just gets up and you have to cut out his other two hearts
>But if he hits you once you're dead.
Is there a hidden area during the snake boss? I remember someone mentioning it closes off after the snake freaks out
It seems like the other user was, sadly, wrong.
If you don't give her the fatass persimmon, her dialogue seems to never advance and you cuck yourself out of the purification ending.
This feels so bad. Almost feels like restarting the game.
Demons was about making a good game not riding the WE SO HARD reddit wagon. Thats why a lot of the bosses are Zelda like in nature.
>literally gets revived by blood fuckery
>bash sword against boss for 5 minutes
>free execute for next phase
>repeat
Boss design itself is kinda neat but this style of "killing" bosses is retarded and unsatisfying
When do I unlock the upgrade path for my flame gun because fuck every other tool is useless
I've been enjoying the improved poison shortsword.
I typically use shuriken+axe+that.
>Help Kuro
>Protect Kuro
>>Help Kuro
>>>I can't do that, I have to protect Kuro
>>Protect Kuro
>>>No Wolf, you have to do the first option
>>>Okay Kuro
What was the deal with that dialogue choice?
If I had done something differently would it have gone differently or is just pointless?
Keep playing
>From's magnum opus.
is this the armored core 2 thread
Based.
I really the idea of comboing multiple combat arts by quickly changing them.
Webm related, an example, even if kinda shoddy one. Someone more skilled than me can probably do some crazy shit.
Has this had the pauses edited out?
Nah it's AC:MoA thread
Yes, that's why the hud is flickering.
If you do it without hud, you can do it seamlessly.
I don't understand wtf the other two endings require with this bitch either. She never even asked me for the snake hearts.
It's pretty fucking stupid how you can't use all the different arts via inputs (DMC style perhaps) rather than having ONE equipped. They all have uses but since you can't actually USE them everyone just has that double slap or the big sword one equipped. Same thing with backstab powers.
Don't know why they limited it to one. Would be more sick that what we got.
Especially since all down on the dpad does is eavesdrop, they could have at least let us equip 2 or 3 and use that button to swap them.
Honestly I think them being all via inputs would be pretty fucking amazing, even if just using down on the pad to change them would be more convenient.
Nah faggot contrarian, kill yourself. The whole "Prepare to Die" shit got overblown with Dark Souls, but to pretend that Demon's Souls didn't market that shit is hipster faggotry. They practically slapped every critic review glorifying its difficulty in the trailers. And the gimmick bosses are the worst aspects of the game.
Blazing Bull is the IQ test of the game.
Possibilities of a sequel? Haven't finished the game, no spoilers pls. I'm asking mostly because the game is quite popular.
From's magnum opus is Bloodborne and I will die on that hill.
Sekiro is still pretty good though
That would sky rocket the skill ceiling of this game.
Isshin is fucking horseshit. He has way too many mixups. One time he'll leap at me then leap at me again. Another he'll leap at me then do a single swipe. Another time he'll leap at me and then do a multi hit combo. Jesus Christ I guess they had to make his spear phase so stupid because his sword phase and Genichiro are complete jokes.
Yeah, if you stop playing the game at that point you have a high IQ
>already used 15 ability points in getting more dmg with the mask
>literally deal the same dmg
am I missing something? is there a hard cap?
It has diminishing returns, yes. I have 28 attack power and is not that much difference.
Is Scrap Iron farmable anywhere? I'm gated hard from upgrading stuff because I seem to have progressed past the areas where you find it lying around and nothing seems to drop it reliably.
fuck dude, what a waste
You can buy it
You have to get a scroll in the pond at the Temple Grounds. Then she'll head into the monkey illusion area and tell you to find the high priest. When you bring back a scroll from him she'll then ask you for the snake hearts.
Wait, where?
I thought I had cleaned out all the merchant guys, do they restock or did I miss/forget someone?
There's no possible way FROM will ever top BB
They restock
>trailer for EU release that was a year and a half after the JP release by a different marketing team, when the game already had a reputation of being difficult
Nice try fag, but no.
Ive beaten most beginner bosses in about 3 deaths tops, got to the hirata estate basement I know its a boss but im too scared to progress so I leave. At the top of the castle now just beat the mini boss and im pretty sure its the boss fight now because of spoilers i wont mention. I know im about to get my shit pushed. my luck has ran out bros help
The merchant at the main hub
Yes, it's definitely possible.
demon's souls, dark souls and sekiro are all better than bloodborne
How does the final boss stack up to From's other games?
the UI really reminds me of Shogun 2
Bloodborne is still From's best game.
If by From's other games, you mean the Souls games, then all of the possible final bosses are a lot better.
demon's souls, dark souls and bloodborne are all better than sekiro
Can someone explain to me what the fuck is up with the last boss? Why does Isshin comes out of Genichiro’s body and why is he younger?
Huh, he doesn't for me. I guess I'm not far enough yet.
I could have sworn I had bought some from at least one merchant though, but none of them even list it as out of stock
This is literally the most kino video game experience I've ever had. Not even memeing, holy shit.
What's the best method to kill a cursed/headless monster? I have 3 on my to do list and don't want to blow all of my consumables without a single kill. How long does the Anti terror last? Any Cheese available for them?
It looked cool and everything but it was a fucking Zelda boss (mechanically) out of nowhere. completely trivial spectacle fight, as From loves to do.
One of the item descriptions says that ehen called upon through the divine waters or whatever its called, the person comes back at their peak of their power. Genichiro knew he was to weak to stop you, so he calls upon his grandfather and I guess they had some kind of "one final request" deal which ishi respected even though he stands againt everything genichiro was doing
Top tier mental gymnastics
It was easy as tits, but holy fuck were the visuals good. I don't mind one cinematic boss once in a while (like the true monk, literally just deathblow the first two health bars in 10 seconds)
Oh ok makes sense
>Senpou
>mumbling Alzheimer's patient wants to scrap, assumes some chin chong stance
POCKET SAND!
I thought the Moonlight Sword wasn't in this game
>I'm getting my ass handed to me by second phase
>don't even know what to do, just get lightning in my ass before I can react
Where did genichiro get a mortal blade?
By true monk, do you mean the one on the bridge? If so, how the FUCK do you deathblow the first two bars in ten seconds?
Grapple the tree with lightning and reflect it onto him
Yeah, isn't that the point of it? It's part of its mechanics.
>grapple on tree, first deathblow from above
>grapple tree to tree while the shadow clones go berserk
>second deathblow from above
>get ape down to one-hit on first try
>takes at least ten more times to finish the job
>get corrupted monk ghost down to one hit posture break first try
>six more times to finish the job
>get owl down to one-hit on first try
>currently on eleven attempts to finish the job
pray you never feel this pain
Yeah, that fight was kino as fuck, it's more about the whole setup rather than the difficulty, which we already have alot
There's a note you find near Isshin's watchtower that mentions it existing.
tree
>$60 for 30 hours gameplay
Look I wont deny the combat is better generally, but the game is not better than DeS/Souls/BB.
The absence of builds really murders it in the long run, and while you'll enjoy playing it, you wont enjoy playing it a second time. NG+ is not challenging at all because you have so many tools that trivialize the fights as the prosthetics become more specialized and powerful at the end game. Additionally NONE of the combat styles are usable except for Ichi because its the only one that reduces poise and that's the only issue you have in NG+. It also still stuns bosses reliable and interrupts nearly all attacks.
There is also nothing special about NG+, or any other playthrough, except there being chip damage if you want. But that isnt enough to warrant playing a second time through the game.
I think From nailed the idea that Soullike games should have parrying/dodging/jumping as the rock/paper/scissors core of gameplay, it works really well in creating fluid combat. if they took the combat and the 'flow' of battles with bosses and put it into a new game with actual builds, it would be their opus.
Nigger, it's been the exact same design process for Miyazaki for all his games, it's why all the games continue to have gimmick fights. You're pretending as if Miyazaki himself is looking up reddit threads on how to design the game. The hardest Armored Core missions are harder than even Sekiro, so it's not like that shit got to his head now. If he did, he wouldn't still consistently put in gimmick Zelda tier bosses in the games, which always end up being the least talked about bosses. Yea Forums was obsessed with how hard it was. Back when it gained traction. "reddit" my ass. Everyone did it. The marketing teams did. For Demon's and everything after.
I don't know if it necessary for the irom scrap but there's some dragon item that I think gives the merchants unlimited supply of certain items like scrap iron.
i have the mortal sword or w/e and it doesn't do shit? how do I use this thing? I tried killing some of the senpou monk god things and they just respawned?
down d-pad art switching would be fucking crazy
would allow for them to make some more difficult bosses too if pulled off correctly
fuck i want this now
ive been down that road.
it could benefit you just to take a break and come back to it.
You need them to kinda change up the pace. I get that they aren't specifically difficult or mechanically complex, but they can still be interesting concepts. Nothing wrong with that. The folding monkeys were pretty cool.
you're exactly right and every time I go to sleep I first try the boss upon waking up
it just makes me feel like the world's unluckiest man
There should be a second red marker to r1 when you kill them
I still think I prefer souls games over this. Not that it's a bad game by any means. I just like Souls games more.
K I N O

Any tips for the big bosses with giant fuck you weapons? If I miss a parry I either eat 80% of my HP in damage or just block it and my posture bar fills up. Fighting normal guys is fine, fighting spearguys is fine with mukiri counter. The regular fat dudes I can stealth or just wail on. But big notable warriors with names tend to slap my ass a couple of times before I can beat them. Also when should I be trying apparitions? That fear bar is more terrifying than frenzy
Cool fight, dumb outfit
sorry man but the 30fps just kills it
a pc port would by GOTAY but the visuals are so shit that it takes me right out
i've been spoiled and I can't ever go back
additionally, BB is the easiest soulsborne and I have to think that the difficulty coupled with the lovecraft pandering is what makes the game so popular. i think that the lack of multiplat has also contributed to how kinda-dead the multiplayer is in terms of fighting the same lads over and over and over
sekiro has 10,000x better gameplay, anyways
>The absence of builds really murders it in the long run, and while you'll enjoy playing it, you wont enjoy playing it a second time
Jesus fucking Christ, how did you people fucking play video games back in 1990's where "builds" and online play were the fucking minority and people just replayed games for fun or to get better at them? Holy fuck, if the game isn't Ubishit tier bloated with 500 hours and epic online play you zoomers have a heart attack, huh? Ocarina of Time is still replayed to this day, one of the most beloved games of all time, and still talked about and it averages 25 fucking hours. Holy fuck I hate zoomers.
>thinking these people were alive in the 90's and playing video games
hold the run button and just manage your distance. Punish them when they miss a perilous attack. gg ez
>falling for obvious bait
Why even?
Wish there were different outfits you could wear.
No you're not allowed to play games again unless they're trending on twitch.
I respectfully disagree
Mods will fix it
>Take a series which people enjoyed because of its build variety
>Remove builds
>Surprised in a comparison between one game and a extremely similar series that one of the issues people have is the removal of features
You're an idiot, and I'm 34 kid.
I beat the game, I beat all its content, there is nothing 'to get better' at. Just because you enjoy wasting hours and hours of your life trying to create arbitrary reasons to play does not mean others enjoy those arbitrary reasons. My arbitary reason to keep playing the other Souls game once iv beaten it is to try different builds, your arbitrary reason is to 'be better', that doesnt make any reason better or worse than any other.
Also I didnt even mention online so I can tell you're just mindlessly raging so dont expect another reply to your inane bullshit.
You can jumpstab her even though she knows you're there?
>makes multiple valid points that the game is ruined by its own mechanics
>OMG FUCKING ZOOMERS EVERYTHING FROM DOES IS PERFECT FUCK OFF
It is you who is the Zoomer here.
No they won't.
Every item/armor mod from the soulsgames looked like shit.
Yeah, you get a big red mark if you jump above her. It's a gimmick fight, you're only supposed to fight the centipede form.
>additionally, BB is the easiest soulsborne
I think you either didn't play BB or you didn't play the Souls games, BB is in no way easier than DaS2 aka the game where every boss is hard countered by circlestrafing
>take a series
>make a game that isn't in that series
>it isn't like games in that series
what the fuck were they thinking
>>Take a series which people enjoyed because of its build variety
Shut the fuck up faggot. It's obvious that isn't the only reason considering it's selling like hotcakes and getting great reception even months and months and months after the confirmation of no builds or weapons or epic online zoomer faggotry. People love the series for many different reasons, many of which Sekiro manages to do well. Just because that was the main reason why YOU liked the series doesn't speak for even half the fanbase. Not everyone put in 300 hours on Dark Souls 2 PVP faggotry. Kill yourself already.
But that's completely counter-intuitive, no other (above lizard height) enemy in the game allows you to do a jump stab if they're aware of you. How the fuck was I meant to guess that shit? I fought her legit.
I told the divine child that Kuro made rice balls and gave her some persimmons. When I came back, she was gone. Am I supposed to look for her or will this be resolved in cutscenes later?
I wonder what Miyazaki was thinking when he made this miniboss.
>give him a weapon with incredible range (for melee)
>now give him like four different perilous attacks, and even a perilous attack combo
>now overtune his tracking so he'll do a 180 turn to land his perilous thrusts on the player
>oh, and don't forget to give his attacks awkwardly long delays
What a shit experience. I felt no joy from beating this guy.
Better than
>Block or iframe roll through attacks
>Attack the rear
>Win
WHERE'S THE CARP CAVE IN FOUNTAINHEAD AAAA
In the water. You can't miss it, dude, it's huge.
Armored Core 3 thread?
I don't get the war.
Who invaded with Owl?
Who invaded at the end?
Why did Isshin decided to fight us?
Why is Genichiro such a jobber?
Because sadly modding for models is still in its early stages
Someone already has model edits working in Sekiro, it just needs a user friendly GUI and proper export/import scripts to get shit rolling.
you just know someone is going to R63 Wolf
still shit though
BB is the easiest by far unless you're actually just bad at the games in general
-ranged parry
-quick dodge with generous iframes
-health regen on aggression
-tons of quick-use health items
-move while healing
-high mobility
you don't really have a good argument to counter these man. if you don't suck at being aggressive in general than BB is going to be a breeze until you hit DLC in which case the git gud factor isn't nearly as high as, say, DaS2
DUUUHHHHHHH DA GAEM ONLY HAVE 20+ HOURS NO REASON FOR NG+ IT SUIK WHAT I DO NOW I AM BBORED WHER R ONLINE PLAY I AM GOING BAK TO FORTNITE LOL
No I mean the one in the waterfall or w/e, where the vendor is
>other languages use different fonts
I hate it when they do this
>oh, and don't forget to give his attacks awkwardly long delays
Sekiro in general is "delayed attacks: the game". I fucking despise it, I have SO much trouble parrying delayed attacks, gets me everything single fucking time forever.
>make a game that isn't in that series
Minor cosmetic changes to bonfires, souls, and in the game does not make a new series. Des/Das/BB/Sekiro are all the exact same premise with nearly identical combat with minor tweaks between them.
The difference between Das and Sekiro is nothing compared to the difference for example of DaS and DD or MH.
The vendor is on a ledge you grapple to from the left side of the palace gate.
Wow never knew that.
That was one of my favorite fights just because it feels really good to deflect/jump on her head for three phases.
Kinda wierd that the game just suddenly allows you to deathblow when not in Stealth on one of the last bosses though. I actually thought it was neat that the phantom corrupted monk prepared you for it, but now that i know its just a gimmick fight that kinda ruins it.
This. Most people I only said they played all the Souls games but BB was the only one they actually finished.
While the original main game of BB is probably the second easiest after DeS, BB's DLC is by far the hardest out of all the games other than Sekiro now, which is just retarded on another fucking level, even beyond BB's hardest chalices.
After the first stab I just grappled around to avoid the shadow clones and saw the red mark again when I was about to jump down to beat on her. I figured they'd be a prominent part of the fight since there's like 5 branches you can use.
Is it possible to do the mask thing before the final boss or am I fucked?
DaS2 is fucking hard, the movement and combat feels like molasses and the enemies do massive damage, it takes forever to become powerful because there's so many stats you have to level. BB has far fewer stats and your character is extremely agile and deadly from the start.
Wait, you get the red mark BEFORE jumping, too?
>nearly identical combat
You should actually play the game before bitching about it user
why does the game get so easy after the horse and lady butterfly? snake eyes is a joke and long arm centipede man is even more of a joke. the glutton took me like two tries, should've taken only one. then the mist lady literally can't fight back if you r1 her to death.
Wow katana having a hard time against spear? Is this real life?
>6 Gourds 13 vit, probably +attack
Most of his attacks leave him wide open if you simply O dodge to his left, the ones that don't are easily parryable or MIKIRI COUNTERED. I don't see why so many struggle on this guy. You can even sneak into the tower from the same whole at the very start of the game for a cheap backstab.
You're 34 and arguing on Yea Forums
So, how long until everyone 180's and completely shits on the game?
lmao i put this guy down so fast i completely forgot about him.
60 bucks for 30 hours of a game that costs millions to make isn't that bad.
The "I need at least 200 hours out of a 60 dollar game" mindset is going to kill the gaming industry.
Funny thing is you're not acting like an idiot you just are one. Hes right the game has no replay value once you beat it and it does not have enough content even if the gameplay is better.
No, I mean I saw it when I jumped down on her. I didn't think I'd get it, I just went for a normal hit and it appeared. Lucky I guess, but I figure anyone using the high ground to dodge the intermission would discover it.
can't do a 180 if people have already been complaining about "not muh souls"
Well for one you’re comparing mini bosses to real bosses. You done genichiro yet?
Which gate? The waterfall above the caster miniboss?
The war is between ashina and the "Interior ministry". Interior ministry are the ones who invade (purple guys). Ishina decides to fight you because It implies he was granting Genichiro his "one gift/request" which was to "save ashina" which i guess meant killing you. He didnt agree with genichiros use of blood magic, but i guess his honor made him respect his promise he made to genichiro.
The locked door at the very top of the stairs that the old lady asks you to open.
He's the hardest boss I've fought so far
Oh yeah thanks
Not arguing with anyone because no one posted a single accurate reply or even read my post lol
>the game has no replay value once you beat it and it does not have enough content even if the gameplay is better.
DUUUH CONTENT OVER QUALITY DUHHHHHHHH PVP AND GIANT BUILDS R DA BESTEST
how do you get on roof in last area near the old lady warning you not to go directly ahead theres enemies up there but 0 hook spots
enfeeble isn't fun
lmao >muh build variety is literally the worst argument. the game always devolved to roll spam and r1s no matter your build unless you did a dark bead build or a poise build, both of which are game breaking cheese.
>11 carp scales
>need 12
WHERE'S THE LAST ONE MIYAZAKI, DO I NEED TO KILL FATTY?
Firecrackers are literally a free boss phase for almost every boss.
>no other (above lizard height) enemy in the game allows you to do a jump stab if they're aware of you
The small centipede guys are above lizard height and can be jump stabbed.
you can submerge? WHAT THE FUCK. now I have to go back and check all the water in the memory area and the under the castle.
why are mini bosses easier than purple ninjas though? the one poison one still took me a few tries and i still suck at him, meanwhile mini"bosses" literally can't fight back against r1 or l1 spam.
>beat the Samurai guy at the top of Ashina castle
>lol jk here comes the lighting round
I hate this sort of thing.
You know what I mean.
This so much. And then just about every enemy will have a single attack that comes out instantly so once you adjust to the delays you get punished for it.
Any way to know what prayer beads am I missing?
so just like souls? git gud at anticipating when the attack is going to come out shitter
No, wait for the full list and try to remember. Also, you can miss beads due to the passing of time when certain bosses die.
Games in the 80s used to cost more/about the same with inflation and you got, at best, 3-5 hours. Only literal zoomers complain about $60 30 hours of content when the game industry easily has the largest bang for your buck ratio out of every other medium like music, books, and movies.
>get all the way to the top of the castle and beat the memory without getting rot
>the quick draw guy beats me enough to cause the spread
>kill him and cure it
>there's a fucming boss after him
Fucking typical.
>lightning round
>Owl 2 shots you even with 6 prayer necklaces
The damage you do vs the damage enemies do is just ridiculous in this game.
She is in the illusion halls
I am an absolute fucking retard for completely missing out on this guy.
>he was right by the horseman
>get seed and prayer bead
I'm fucking retarded I swear.
How many skill points do I need to buy ap with the mask? Shouldn't it say somewhere?
>complaining about dying in two hits
wew lad, they even added revives for your sorry ass
Why was the Orangutan so full of anger?
How did Isshin come back from the dead via Genichiro?
Was The Priestess of Mibu Village the Corrupted Monk?
Why are the undying waters connected to centipedes?
Just confetti, spam attacks and deflect. When they turn invisible they always spawn behind you for a grab move, sprint away and turn back to attack. If you attack enough the miasma shit dispels and it staggers them btw.
That's a great point. I think people are just spoiled by the endless hours they can put into Fortnite, Apex, and the like.
>ape rematch
>IMMORTAL SEVERANCE
holy fuck
God damn it I'm almost at the final boss and some idols are impossible to access
>From's magnum opus
Metal Wolf Chaos?
You have to reach the next idol. It's just outside the gate at the back of that courtyard area.
Am I missing an esoteric text? Ive got shinobi, prosthetic, ashina, and temple. Is there a fifth? Menu looks like it could hold one more
Same guy is fucmingb me up as well. I have two hp upgrades and two attack, should I keep trying or go explore somewhere else?
isn't there supposed to be a monkey boss in the giant cave after snake eyes?
Did you get the ones from giving the carp precious bait, and the ones from giving the guy in Mibu Village his water? Otherwise it's probably just a fish you missed.
5
No, how do I give it bait? It just swims around like a retard in the cave. I'm trying to find that woman's son as well
Unlock a secret combat art at the end of a tree and talk to Emma in Kuro's room in the castle. She'll give you the Mushin text.
Pls help
>demon's souls, dark souls
no
>and sekiro
yes
>Why are the undying waters connected to centipedes?
>Big immortal dragon travels from the West
>Decides to set up shop on a mountain
>It accidentally [redacted] its immortality to Kujo's through its blood
>Kujo can [SOMEHOW] pass his magic immortality to others but its not as effective, he cannot be harmed by any normal means (Side plot point: When an dragon blood immortal (you) dies they drain the life force of others around them to stay alive, this is the 'dragon rot')
>Meanwhile, giant tree dragon is obviously pissing into the water supply around it turning it into 'rejuvenation water' which has the power of immortality but if you drink it you die [Logic]
>The monks on Mt Basedboi try to force children to drink it, they all die except one (the Divine)
>Divine is not happy with that and doesn't like the Monks, she is also insane or magic because she can talk to all her dead brothers and sisters who drank the water
>magic water fucks with the ecosystem and every once and while a carp become a giant magical immortal carp
>centipedes were feasting on the dead immortal carps and becoming immortal themselves [Do not ask questions on how the Carps die because apparently immortality does not mean immortality]
>The monks thought this was a great idea to infest themselves and other with the centipedes to make them immortal
>All the nobles who live in fountainhead palace try to achieve immortality but fail miserably and become slaves to the giant fish instead, feeding on each others life force to extend their lives as seen in the temple at the upper part of the area where they are sucking each other off
Every single character you interact with just wants to have immortality granted from Kujo's blood since thats the only true immorality. Kujo sees it corrupts everyone around him so he wants to destroy it.
So I got the stone from Mibu Village but it doesn't feel like I've really resolved anything here. What do I do with the guy drinking in the corner of his house? And isn't there supposed to be some village outcast I can find? Where is he?
hi, first time playing a video game?
Awesome thanks for letting me know, im one point away from maxing out ashina. Also, is Ow' the final boss of purification? Dont want to fight him if hes the end of the game
You get another from tengu man after you unlock the final skill in one of the texts
More than half the bosses in BB can be chain staggered...
>tfw farming that 1000 + 500 + 500 exp
how the fuck do i kill ape
seeyou'll figure it out when you get there
I'm still missing 3. One might be from the glutton in the hidden forest because I think I killed the guy making the mist and he disappeared. No idea what else I'm missing though. I'm fairly certain I've cleared every mini boss and area of everything. I even have the ones behind the hidden walls in the castle and estate as well as the one at the top of building where you meet Tengu Isshin.
Go to ring the bell and feed it your precious bait. You can also feed it one of the carp traders bait after talking to them and then the carp will die and they drop a lapis lazuli. But make sure you buy their shit first. I missed a lapis lazuli cause I did it too early.
Fire
>Frog can't handle a top tier battle
Color me surprised.
This hurts because you can clearly see this games combat had so much potential that they didn't even come close to meeting. Its like they wanted to make it a full on action game but didn't have the guts to do it all the way. With the current system theres no reason to use anything other than Ichimonji. This was From's chance to finally make a good combat system and they fucking blew it.
Ooh, thanks, I figured you'd place the bait somewhere by the shore
>But if he hits you once you're dead.
Shadows die twice brainlet
Guardian Ape is literally cancer, the boss isn't at all hard but literally takes 7 mins because you can at most get 2 hits in on the second phase due to the spam screams. I mean didn't even get hit when I killed it and it still took forever, they really should have decided what kind of fights they wanted in this game because it can go from a normal fight to a Dark Souls one in an instant. Except this isn't DS and 90% of the game doesn't want you to play it as such
Was it kino?
They don't want you spamming combat arts like this is assassin's Creed senpai
Genchiro guy at the top of the castle, any tips? I can't get through the first two health bars with enough heals for the next phase.
simply cut off his head, and then he's dead, the end
you can just go afk and take a screenshot at that point
Yea ape second phase is pretty shit. It goes from being fun and fast paced in the first phase to a grinding halt because it's no longer safe to charge at him anymore.
They could've made him harder
>first from game
>getting my shit kicked in
how do I git gud
they didn't want to create another generic action game. they got rid of skill spam and instead added the high intensity realistic sword fighting mechanics
First, have your 18th birthday before you can post here
You've still got quite a bit after Owl. You actually won't be able to get the final text for a minute. I don't won't to spoil anything for you though. As long as you didn't obey the code then you're good.
1. I took that image from Google. I don't speak a lick of French.
2. Clearly I could handle it since I beat him eventually.
3. Top tier fight? It's a spear humanoid with the tracking ability of the Fire Salamanders from DaS2... how shit does your taste in fights have to be to consider this guy "top tier"?
Dogs are so un-bullshit in this game I almost feel bad for killing them
Pretty much. It's the same type of people that played the Souls games because of the builds and PVP shittery and love to pretend those are the only reasons they had lasting power and not for the fact that they were solid single-player games that set them aside from all those zoomer multiplayer AAA fuckfests.
Was it kino?
I'm 22
so how are STR build bros handling this game where you can't grind for big damage?
I just got it. Ive beaten the game once, this is a completionist run from scratch. Im right before the dragon cleaning things up before the invasion
is monkey boss early game or is he after ashina depths?
Exactly. They're trying to project the zoomer mentality onto a game that was pushing back against it. I never really thought about it that way, but it makes sense.
Fuck, the guy in the house in mibu turned into a zombie. Did I fuck up the quest?
Imagine the amount of sashimi you could make out of this guy
>Sekiro
>realistic
You're kidding yourself. Ghosts of Tsushima will be a much more realistic samurai experience than this. The real reason they don't want people swapping between combat arts on the fly is it would trivialize most of the game.
This is a quality game and I have no complaints.
You have revives too.
You can do him as second boss I think
the final boss is the most anti-fun shit I've ever experienced in a video game, makes demon of hatred seem fun in hindsight
you'll even more of aretard when you connect 2 on 2 on who this guys is
you can though? i'm grinding the mask right now
Seriously, what's the strat for the lighting guy?
>you'll even more of aretard
looks like I also played myself by suffering an aneuyrism
where is he? im pretty sure i missed him because im almost done with mt kongo or whatever and i also just got to mibu village.
>hates surprise twists in boss fights
well this game loves them
Bottom of sunken valley
What is bad about him? He's 100% fair.
Not that guy, the head of the village guy that's constantly slurping on his water. Once he turns you can kill him and get like 5 carp scales I believe. That's what I did at least, not sure if you can do anything else with him. The other guy in the middle of the village zombified for me too before I got the water. Maybe he gives something different if you get the water to him instead.
Reflect the lightning and nuke him
>get to that area for the first time
>in awe at the beauty of it
>go for a swim
>FUCKING LIGHTING OUT OF NOWHERE
That whole area was the definition of kino. Even the way you got to that area on the rope nigga was kino.
Oh shit, thanks for the tip. I didn't go back to check on him after I killed the monk
mad cus bad
>realistic
Neck yourself weeb.
I beat the game but it just dawned on me; how do the headless have hair? Is it growing from the 1cm thick strap of neck they have left?
Does it work vs every lighting attack? And is it a parry or just hold block in the air?
>head falls off
>SHINOBI EXECUTION
>ok good he's definitely dead
>achievement doesn't pop up
>no memory acquired
>hey wait a se-
>body starts moving
IS THIS A FUCKING JOKE?
Get hit by lightning in the air and reverse it.
It should, I don't remember exactly, you press r1 in the air when it hits to send it to him
Every time
oh ho ho just you wait
I shouldn't do the old woman's quest and kill her father before getting all the scales, right?
>Demon of Hatred
Just fucking kill me. This is a fucking Souls boss when I've been conditioned to not play this game like Souls.
>BB is the easiest soulsborne
lmao
>dead multiplayer
>but complains its too easy
bloodborne was the natural evolution of souls, it was a straight upgrade 95%. you fags are obsessed over difficulty
>sword user gets dabbed on by a spear user
who could have seen that coming
So did you just redo the same build over and over when you replayed the souls games? Did you pick the same weapons when you replayed bloodborne? How fucking boring can you be?
You're actually retarded if you think that Sekiro wouldn't benefit from builds. I'm not even talking talking about RPG stats, just different main weapons would work, and there's plenty of weeb styled weapons that could play differently while keeping the game fast paced and parry focused(spears, fans, sickles, chains, staves, etc...). Game it still great, but it would be better with some variety. I'm doing a second run right now and it's very samey.
What the fuck was this?
How do I get him to turn, though? He's still human here.
Monkey business.
>The sword saint.
>Attacks me with a spear.
I loved it, the lightning, the otherworldly beings, the way they fought, the realization of what the Floating Passage fighting style was and where Genichiros mentor Tomoe came from and thus how he mastered lightning.
Well?
You give him the water he's rambling on about. It's somewhere in the Fountainhead Palace. He'll turn into one of those annoying enfeebled dudes.
So its See no Evil, Speak no Evil, Hear no Evil, and then the last secret one is Be no Evil, right?
Oh, dang. Guess I have to explore it more, thanks.
Wow, just demolished the lighting guy and he didn't even use lighting. Just stuck to him and hit him with the ichi double after jumping a sweep. Pretty kino boss fight though, the surprise second phase fucked me up good.
>muh builds
Shut. Up.
Someone post the batman combat webm of Tsushima
Does anybody know why in the fuck that they go places? In Dark Soul games I knew why I'm at the places I'm at, but in Sekiro I'm just wondering.
I know that feel.
>So did you just redo the same build over and over when you replayed the souls games? Did you pick the same weapons when you replayed bloodborne? How fucking boring can you be?
I went in a different order and yes, I used different builds. Doesn't mean this game needs it, fucktard. It already has different shit. Second playthrough I'll upgrade different prosthetics or get different skills and generally go a different route. Jesus, it's the same I fucking do with Ninja Gaiden or Devil May Cry or any other good singe-player game, faggot. I don't need "builds" or multiplayer faggotry to find a reason to replay games, I still replay Chrono Trigger and Zelda and plenty of other games with the same experience and enjoy it all the same. Figure it the fuck out.
how? its much more explicit in this game
>everyone is drunk on immortality
>lets end that shit
>ok go get these plot mcguffins for me
>sword saint
>shoots an automatic pistol in 16th century Japan
I love how fast you can kill bosses when you get in the zone parrying, dodging, and just keeping the pressure on. The games combat is very feast or famine, you're either in the zone doing great, or you get rattled and lose yor cool and get completely shit on.
Why
You have 3 lives, retard.
if you meet up with Kuro first you'll have pretty explicit objectives for each area, but most areas are unlocked and you can go explore them before you know why you need to
>Get blood smoke
>oh fuck yeah
>costs SIX emblems to use
This is getting anoying now, why is everything neat locked behind emblems? Come on game, your very hard as is just let me use my fucking toys.
Yeah I dunno what that guy's on about, story makes it clear as day.
Bloodborne thread?
I'm really enjoying this game
>Upgrade different prosthetics
You already get 90% of the prosthetics on a blind playthrough
>Different routes
Doesn't change at all how the game plays since there's nothing that you unlock that really changes how you play the game.
You're actually retarded if you think the game wouldn't benefit from different main weapons.
>WOW SLOW MO AND HIGHLIGHTED ENEMIES SO UNREALISTIC
It's still just a regular human being with realistic weapons. He's not using some mortal blade which shoots out waves of energy with a prosthetic arm that's even better than a real one against a giant immortal monkey.
This was pure kino
>You already get 90% of the prosthetics on a blind playthrough
And I'd love to experiment more with them on bosses and shit.
>Doesn't change at all how the game plays since there's nothing that you unlock that really changes how you play the game.
Who gives a fuck, I replay games because I enjoyed the experience the first time. Like literally every game pre-zoomer era you braindead mongoloid.
>You're actually retarded if you think the game wouldn't benefit from different main weapons.
Yeah okay faggot, whatever you say. I hope they release DLC with different weapons so I don't have to here dumb faggots like you complain about how there's no possible reason anyone could replay it.
>You're actually retarded if you think the game wouldn't benefit from different main weapons.
Maybe because it wouldn't? Literally every enemy, their animations and speed are designed and balanced against your one weapon. It would have to be slowed down significantly (BB/DS3 levels) to work with slower weapons.
Have i beaten all Headless? Have both red, blue, and turquoise sugars
>on my 10th attempt at cunt butterfly
I am starting to get mad.
You do realize there's a huge variety of weapons that could fit the same speed right? You don't need to go with big ass 2 handed hammers.
I just got to Ashina Castle and this game is kino as fuck
Lady Butterfly was probably the hardest fight so far. Everything else has gone down in 1-2 tries now that the combat has clicked.
Is there a reason to use anything but ichimonji double? It does big posture damage, clears your own, AND prevents counter attack, AND doesn't cost emblems.
I can't seem to find the water, I've combed all of fountainhead
Check the pond in Sunken valley
>He hasn't played a video game before
Nigger this applies to every fucking game. Fuck Super Mario is like that
>anyone who disagrees with me is a zoomer
Nigger I'm almost 30. The difference between me and you is that I got more than 2 brain cells. Kys.
Just slow it down, mang. Learn the patterns and don't go in unless you have a guarantied hit. Save your shurikens for phase two (you can also skip the first wave of illusions if you snipe her off of Buddha's shoulder between phases)
Attack her twice then dodge to your right and dodge attack, it feels like a fool proof strat and looks really cool. If she manages to summon just run around then hide behind a pilled to avoid the butterfly's.
How do i get to the final boss? I can't find Kuro just by following the smoke signals because every path is blocked now
>waters flowing from the fountainhead corrupt people and turn them into fish
>when the water flows down it becomes dirtier and puts las plagas into people
>this gives them false immortality
>the dragon is at the fountainhead
>but the dragon blood gives real immortality
Explain this, Miyazaki.
no
I'd like to think he was gimping himself since he was bros with Wolf and didn't like Genichiro
Unless they made the attack speeds identical, then no it would not work. If the weapons were so similar in weapon speed then I fail to see a reason to implement them at all, as your play style would identical with differing animations and that would not add to the replay value, not even a bit. Most of the suggestions I've seen have the spear for obvious reasons, as many enemies use it and that would be a much slower weapon.
The best way to make the game replayable would have been to change enemy placement on NG+, NG++ and so on, change enemy moves, etc. not do something stupid like add more weapons.
The spin flip is good for positioning. Combat arts are underwhelming anyway. Some look cool but the damage they do is pretty bad so I just end up using the flip to close distance.
Sorry I don't remember exactly where it is but I was fairly certain I got it from there.
The ability with the mortal blade is great for AoE situations, that's one reason to use it.
Isn't the dragon the one leaking immortality into the waters? It'd obviously be the most potent in his blood.
So you literally never replay any game that doesn't have epic RPG builds and faggot multiplayer, which is fucking 90% of single-player games? Or is all you ever played your entire life is top down Diablo style shit? Holy fuck, fucking kill yourself.
The nobles take all the power and corrupt the water, might also explain that fucking headless near a waterfall
The only good modern FROM series is Armored Core. Dark Souls is for babies who think its hard when it isnt, so they can pamper their own ego.
Haven't played it but from the webms and videos I've seen, the areas look a bit samey.
Am I wrong? I hope I'm wrong. Is the world design good at least? Interconnected levels, world verticality, all the good Soulsborne stuff?
How will the inevitable Dark Souls 4 rework it's combat after Sekiro?
cope
Hopefully agility makes a return.
Everything is interconnected on the level of DaS. World design is basically temples in Japanese mountains.
Timing based block, rolls have less iframes, being aggressive is encouraged, less sippys, more heal over time stuff
I don't generally replay games that are 99% the same shit no. Games don't have to be RPGs to have replayability you fucking inbred. Also keep complaining about multiplayer as if anyone but yourself brought it up, makes you sound real smart.
His shuriken into huge sweep one shotted me until I got 16 vit I'm pretty sure. After that I barely survived it
So let's say, story-wise, Wolf doesn't protect the divine child.
What's the worst that can happen?
Genichiro gets to be immortal and protect his realm?
Big deal.
Not sure why that was worth killing literally everyone in the province for.
>I don't generally replay games that are 99% the same shit no
All I needed to know. Fucking kill yourself, you inbred, holy fuck.
So is there an MLGS in this game?
Why is Rice-chan so perfect lads?
I found it by diving into a secret room, that shit was well hidden
Literally follow the tool tip they show you at the first encounter with her fight and you can cheese the battle.
I've seen a lot of people complain about this but I think they just don't like the Japanese setting. Each area has it's own distinct color palette and flair which kept things fresh for me. The world is all interconnected except for Hirata Estate, however it still doesn't reach DaS's level. I'd say the interconnectivity of the world is on par with BB.
>MLGS
You get a skill that produces projectiles from your swing
To be fair this is exactly what I expected. I mean it would be ridiculous for an experienced ninja to be fucked over by doggos.
No, this is the closest
>thought lmao 2ape was just a joke people made
>it's real
Well that's enough Sekiro for today
Different user here, but what makes a game re-playable to you personally? And games don't need to have divergent paths or tons of options for somebody to want to replay it. People do annual replays of the Half-life series, which is a very linear shooter, simply because they enjoy the game. There's a discrepancy here between what makes you replay a game, and the fact that it varies from person to person. Some people might replay the same game that's a straight A to B with no variance every time. Some people might replay a big rpg because of the different quest and build options. Sure you can encourage replayability with mechanics and design, but damning games entirely because they're not freeform enough is kinda strange in this context. I don't mean to misinterpret your argument with this statement of course.
Down to 8 shurikens and 2 heal but I fucking got her!
This shit makes bloodborne’s plot look like Green Ham and Eggs. Ain’t saying it’s good nor bad. Just what the fuck.
ROBEERTOOO!
Bullshit. Not every game has boring damage sponge combat like fromsoft games
Wolf was basically programmed from a young age by Owl. Also the kid didnt want to use his power, it fucks with the world. Genichiro isn't that great of a swordsman, hes strong, but he will never be as good as Isshin, and thus, he will die, even with resurrection power, which will just create Dragonrot. So he will protect Ashina at the cost of causing everyone around him to slowly become diseased with a nearly incurably disease with every death, and, assuming only one person can have that power, he will basically be a one man army and will die a fuck ton.
Tell everyone I’m not the only one who enjoyed the Mt. Kong’s battle music. Something about Buddhist chantings mixed with the music is rad as hell. Shame every other battle music feels mundane as fuck but what can you expect from ye olde Japanese shit.
Legit you can kill bosses in Sekiro in like a minute or two if you know what you're doing. Can't wait for speedruns.
>magnum opus
>dark souls 2 without rpg mechanics and weeb shit
>Sekiro: Hello Guardian Ape
>Guardian Ape: *Screams super high pitched.* crawls to corner of boss arena
>Sekiro: It's ok, I know you're scared. But you need to be calm. Shinobi executes Guardian Ape
>Guardian Ape: *Squeals and starts crawling over to Sekiro really fast staring at Sekiro
>Sekiro:LET ME OUT!!! LET ME OUT!!!!!
>Owl: Sorry we can not let you out. Guardian Ape will escape. We just need to wait it out :)
>Guardian Ape: *Screams at 500 decibels.*
>DEATH
Divine Dragon music fit so well with the visuals
Speedruns for this game are going to be entertaining as fuc
I'm not damning anything. I say in my first post that Sekiro is great. I am simply saying that adding some variety would make it even better. And I am doing a second run right now, but I can already tell that this won't be a game that I'll complete 10+ times.
>he doesn’t even stop to realize that Sekiro the Autistwolf wasn’t even there for the Aquafina
>Sekiro doesn’t even stop to explain to the dude but rather just kicks him off the bridge
This is Nier 1 all over again.
ain't nobody got time for that
>skips the first deathblow to get the aerial instead
nice
the longarm bosses are pretty much QTEs, they're fun
based 12 year old poster
Should I give the sakura droplet to Kuro? Or hold on to it for something later?
I dealt with her by being so aggressive she didn't have time to use illusions.
Looking back on the game now, it's crazy how much you progress as a player throughout the game. You're going to look back on her like she was nothing.
is this a youtube comment?
>tfw using Ichimonji to swat glaive niggas out of the sky
Shit eating grin
>tfw he didn't yell when i killed him
Pls advise
People just don't post pictures. I forget to take them most of the time.
Git gud, babby
Imagine a Souls game with gameplay this fast and fluid. Not to mention the verticality. Exploring a level like Blighttown with the grappling hook and jumping? God damn.
>That white dual wielding monkey in the valley
>that posture damage
Not him but he's right, Soulsborne is for brainlets. Refute me. You can't.
I'm hoping they go in the opposite direction now that they've gotten the action game combat out of their system.
I'm enjoying Sekiro a lot and it definitely does the fast paced active-reactive thing a lot better than DaS3 and even Bloodborne for the most part but that was never really what I wanted for the Souls series. A more measured, paced combat focused on spacing and managing enemy positions and timings just feels like it fits the rest of the game better to me. If they can refine the DS1 gameplay to be less about iframing through everything and more about properly approaching and managing combat encounters with your tools I'd be much happier than if they just throw a modified Sekiro system at it.
who /nightjarslash/ here
never talked to the bitch after getting mortal blade and got purification so you are incorrect
Thanks. The combat is pretty neat, but i have trouble with the spears folks.
>fighting with the WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOs on top of the roof
>already know to expect their 9/11 tactic due to anons talking about it
>they fight pretty normally
>one of them cocks his fire axe, swings at me and both of us die in an explosion
Joke’s on him because I can revive on the spot but what the fuck was that? Do they have another suicide move during melee combat as well?
Also there is a season/time of day system so the game doesn't stagnate during revists.
Winter, autumn, summer, spooky, underwater, dark, and poison areas off the top of my head. It's not the most diverse game but it's hardly samey.
The one with monkey friends was pretty hard to defeat, and the gun monkey ran like 200 miles away and was shooting at me.
Why? It's so slow and posture damage it does is shit.
I honestly don’t think it will be fitting. One game is about knights, so slow and sluggish combat fits. This one is about a ninja.
Game fucking crashes when i beat the divine dragon is there any fucking fix for this shit
i spammed the ninjutsu smoke and backstabbed all his friends
I like the game but holy shit do I suck at it. I got stuck on the horse guy so I went to the estate and now I'm just stuck on the hunter instead. Does the thrust counter work on the perilous attacks? Can't tell if it doesn't or if my timing is just shit.
This isn't magical fantasy land with every biome for the sake of variety.
guardian ape second phase is easier than first because you just deflect his shit and he goes for the overhead slash and gives you 5 seconds of free dps
moonlight?
all thrusts are considered perilous since you can't block them, so yes. just don't try to do it on sweeps and grabs.
I spent 2h on monk yesterday, stopped at the ape. Dreading to launch the game.
Are the twin guardian apes mandatory? It took me forever to beat the first fight, and I really don't want to fight two of them at once if I don't have to right now. Am I in the right place to continue the story?
>From finally brings back the world structure of Dark Souls 1
>but it's not technically in a Dark Souls game
Someone explain the ending to me, why is Isshin inside Genichiro, and why did he turn on you?
i cheesed guardian ape by sprinting away from him constantly and running in for a hit and run in between his attacks. works for both phases.
How do I beat this stupid boss throwing balls of terror?
Optional
Is there any other way to complete the surgeon's request is Sakuma dies after O'Rin and the fat guy in temple is taken to monkeyland?
Sprinkle some divine confetti on yourself. Get some pacifiers.
With divine confetti, you'll hit a lot harder, and he'll also stagger. He's pretty easy if you set both of those up. You'll probably have to use two, since you'll need to re-apply by the time you get the first deathblow.
>tfw owl mikiri counters you
Sword made a portal to the underworld that he crawled out of.
corrupted monk or true monk
he has literally 2 sword comboes other starts with poking twice and the other is a horizontal slash from his right side and parrying either gets him to the overhead slash for free damage
It's optional, and honestly not that hard. The first half is just the headless ape solo, and even when the second ape joins in, he's a much weaker version of the first form of guardian with only some of his moves. Both their hp isn't particularly high either.
Get some firecrackers for when second ape shows up. She gets posture broken with like 4 uses. Main dude also has less HP than OG ape.
if you are bashinf your sword against the bosses they arent 5 minutes long
i beat Genichiro + 3 phases of Isshin in less than 5 minutes
the pinwheel kind of guy dancing? confetti and go spam attack and run around don't dodge.
As soon as a high profile youtube "critic" uploads a video lambasting it.
>tfw at the end of the game and nothing has topped the OH SHIT factor of rape ape's second phase
Where is the three storey pagoda?
Is using Mist to get past the snake in the cave the proper way? I just did it to get the essence.
you cant just post this picture and not explain
If you're lucky you can jump at him when he's in the air and get a deathblow. No idea how it works because From can't program to save their lives.
Thanks. I think I'll come back to them later. I'd rather continue the story right now.
firecracker is the best tool in game by a country mile, how the fuck do you think it's useless
Isn't that the one near the battlefield with the big tengu guy?
t. shitter
>guardian ape 1st phase
firecrackers then flamevent burn his ass for damage and like 5 seconds of stun
>guardian ape 2nd phase
literally just deflect and attack and pull back when he does terror aoe, its easier than 1st phase
corrupted in mibu, took me a while to figure out the spear distance perfectly, she is simply too long but not exactly difficult once you get the distance right
Proper way is using finger on the monkey to lure the snake away.
can't believe it's even partially applicable multiple times
Sunshine?
It's a foggy area.
proper way is using puppet ninjutsu retard
jump in the river near ogre on the bridge.
IM TALKING ABOUT THE SWORD
How come sometimes I can revive twice in a boss? Feels random.
Oh well at least I got it. The lady also said something about a kite in senpou temple. What is it referring to?
I'm outside the white ape arena. Can I not fully kill him until I get the Mortal Blade?
If you land a deathblow after dying it restores your revive meter and let's you use another. You can use a jizu statue for the same purpose.
Miyazaki said it wouldn't be in the game.
When Matthewmattosis gets his whiskey coated potatoslime hands on it and shits out an 8 hour video Yea Forums will call it dogshit.
It's a mod
there is a kite there, right at the start go down the bridge where single monk stand, go even lower, you'll see it
How do I kill Seven Spears and his boyfriend? He is so fucking easy alone.
killed lady butterfly on my first try
use the stealth candy, equip mind control ninja skill, mind control spear dude's boyfriend
Sneak up and assassinate his boyfriend and possession him.
Huh, didn't even think about that lol. Finger works too but it was finicky so I guess you're right.
Try the mortal blade too, it always does normal damage unlike your regular sword.
>matthewmatosis made a write-up recently talking about videos to look forward to
>says he's been working on a review of mario odyssey and that it won't come out til the end of this year
>over a year
>to write a review on a mario game that will probably only come out to roughly 30 minutes
I'm actually moderately interested in hearing his thoughts on DMC5, only because I know he's a DMC1 fanboy who shits on every other game in the series because #notmydante, but his work ethic is non-existent.
i figured
I just grappled to the branch and his friend walked off the cliff. Then he walked off too which didn't count I guess.
Long Sword faggot is the worst enemy in this game. Fuck that faggot.
Rejuvenating waters bullshit coupled with black mortal blade bullshit coupled with Genichiro being a good catalyst due to being a close blood relative of Isshin summoned the man at the peak of his power.
Isshin then proceeds to fight you one on one cause he'll honor his grandkids wish even if he thinks Genichiro was foolish and cause he likes a good fight and respects Sekiro enough to take him on.
>fully charged empowered mortal draw
>doesn't guarantee the stagger
This is kinda lame.
How in the flying fuck are you supposed to do the secone ashina spears fight
He hates DMC3? What a pleb.
>not getting the drop kill for his first bar
>he doesn't pocket sand every enemy to death
Well you didnt figure well enough to google it retard.
I'm missing the last two beads. I've heard they're locked behind a different ending. Is that true?
...
Holy shit it actually worked thank you
kek
lmao why would I google it when retards like you will tell me
How do you sneak up tho? Everythings on fire and shiiit
I love how he's the the stereotypical 1fag personified.
Question. When does Rice Lady drop frozen tears. I gave her the snake organs and she's just been in pain behind shut doors. Tried resting multiple times and advancing through areas but she's still behind doors
The skills and tools in this game are fucking garbage. Yeah the firecrackers stuns a boss for a second but when I blast a stream of fire in someones face and it does jackshit damage that's how I know I'm playing a shit game.
I'm ringing the demon bell.
You can get rid of it whenever you want, so that's fine.
Now that I get it that's pretty fucking hilarious
>he gets by in life being a lazy piece of shit
Wanna know how I know you still live at home?
Coat them in oil first if their eyes aren't red.
you fucking use stealth candy and walk to the right
>lmao
see no idea why you guys pretend that making what is essentially a normal no-shield build in DaS 800% better constitutes a more challenging game just because some bosses move a little faster
>dead multiplayer
>but complains its too easy
well yeah man, invasions and shit are fun as fuck in all of the games. pretty much the only thing that kept me going in 3 after i did my sl1. BB invasions are alright if you can actually make it into one without a disconnect
Thanks user, I'll whip up some shitty meme image at some point. I'm really loving Sekiro and these threads but there seems to be a shockingly small amount of art and OC for the game. I assume everyone is still playing it though.
which enemies drop the most money?
shotguns in gunfort drop 50sen, anyone else I can farm?
If you could read I even said it isn't hard it just takes forever, literally even said I didn't get hit but that doesn't change the fact that it's a complete trash fight. He seriously has like 4 moves in each phase
did you get corrupted monk? he is way more tedious, ape is manageable
>currently facing Guardian Ape
>mfw he actually starts shitting and farting all over the place.
Made a thing to commemorate.
Upgraded firecrackers seem to make monk a joke
Damn that's lame, I'm pretty sure I'm right before him so glad I stopped for the night if that's the case
>mid-air Combat arts
>Ichimonji double
Almost pissed myself with laughter he fucking locks into the stance and falls like a rock out of the air, I'm so fucking glad FROM decided to cut loose with this game and go batshit.
Learn when, where, and how to use them. Jesus.
sure, when you get her to around 25% hp, still got to get there
How do you get past the snake in the cave before Guardian Ape? The hint the lady gives you makes it seem like you have to use the whistle on the monkey next to it but using it just does nothing.
>People are having the most trouble on the monk and the monkey
Based
you are in for a fun ride friend
MIND CONTROL NINJA SKILL
>monk and monkey
>monk ey
BRAVO MIYAZAKI
they're in for a rude awakening
So.
Do shinobi even fuck?
Oh you have to use puppeteer instead? Makes sense.
you are scaring me user
There's always a gimmick fight or two in Souls games. This one had the dragon and the three monkeys, both pretty unique and actually mildly interesting, unlike gimmick fights in previous Souls games.
Wolf is autistic and platonically loves dragon shota so not him.
Others though yeah.
They can fuck anyone in the lower class just fine, its just a matter of holding land and titles iirc. You could just waltz into a peasant village and demand all the women if you were of high status.
This game only has 2 major problems that are due to the engine:
First is the absolute abortion that is the camera that flushes itself down a public toiled whenever it barely grazes a wall.
And second is the atrocious input queue that has been a staple of from games since forever.
Other than that, the game is absolute kino, second only to Bloodborne.
good, now focusing on gitting good before you get ultra fucked
If you use it by the old lady on the bridge at Ashina Castle, she gives you candy and calls you a nice young man.
used the feather dodge to get there too on my first run and it worked just fine
Yup, both were pretty enjoyable. Dragon more so for the spectacle of it.
>goomba stomp isshin and ichimonji on the way down
>hes so tall that by the time you land youre the one who gets hit
great fight but that fucker breaks some rules
Very good. I was confused as to whether shinobi weren't allowed the earthly pleasures of flesh because of upholding some sort of honorable code thingy but it's good to know that it doesn't matter and shinobi can fuck.
Good, you should be scared
tried some stuff on ng++
you can skip double monkey business if you have not killed the original fight protecting the flower
this gives you access to monk and incense part really early on
experience needed for levels skyrockets and getting all skills is absolutely ridiculous
not sure if getting skills on different saves counts towards the achievement
getting all prayer beads and memories requires atleast 3 playthroughs on the same character
purification ending seems fucked if nobody gets dragon rot since emma dialog bugged out
demon bell + kuro charm is not fun
So what DLC are we hyped for lads?
>Tomoe DLC
>China DLC with the Divine Child
i rested at her place like 4 times, killed a boss, went back and she gave it to me
More creepy yokai. Its a crime that there are no good underwater fights, too.
So which boss is the pleb filter?
Lady Butterfly
lapis lazuli is scarce as fuck
demon drops 3
ball summoning apparation drops 1
pot boi in fountainhead sells 2
need atleast 2 playthroughs to get enough for all weapon upgrades
Genichiro filters out shitters pretty well
it doesnt take forever, you just suck user
the longest boss fight is probably demon of hatred being like 5 minutes with 3 phases
corrupted monk is short and fast
you can straight up run in, grapple up and stealthblow him, his phase 3 is piss easy
Yeah that's my only problem with the game. More supernatural enemies would have been glorious.
>finally get the deathblow
>just kidding time for phase 2
am pleb can confirm
>Fought the armoured warrior for the first time last night
>Whooped him and kicked him off the bridge in less than a minute
>Robeeeeeeeeeeeeeert
Feels bad, sorry guy
None of the bosses take forever, dude. Fucking trust me. You'll be amazed when you actually watch how fast people can kill these bosses in a week or two from now.
check it out
youtu.be
Corrupted Monk is a beautiful woman
Torrent is downloading now, how are kb+m controls? Good or lazy shit?
>final boss
>4 phases
>no items or buffs
>beaten in under 4 minutes
Yeah these bosses sure are "tedious" and "damage sponges." Fucking scrubs I swear.
then what?
Play Nioh for Yokai fights
>Was stuck on corrupted monk fight 2 for an hour yesterday
>Beat it first try today
Feels damn good. How much I got left also?
If the game didn't have warping the world design would have actually mattered.
Did you do rape ape yet? If not quite a bit and even after you got a decent amount left.
Yea Forums btfo
Still can't read? I killed the thing without taking any damage but it's a very long fight for how little the damn thing actually does. It repeats the same 2 moves more often than not and maybe you'll get a 3rd here or there but dodging the same attack to get a hit or 2 in gets tedious fast.
Yeah I'm sure there's faster ways about doing it but saying that is like saying every soulsborne boss is easy because they all can be beaten in 30 secs or less if you're autistic enough to try
I killed Guardian ape long time ago if that's who you're referring to
I swear I'll either get my ass handed to me with ease or kill the boss in under 30 seconds, there is no in between for me.
second part isn't that terrible, the ilusions are slow and die on one hit, and if you place yourself behind a pillar the butterflies/magic/thing she does won't hit you, aside from that it's the same as phase one.
>Blight town
>But the enemies have guns
Oh no.
saved
according to the wiki you can farm them from ayy lmaos but it has a shitty drop rate
Okay cool, in that case head back to Ashina Castle. If you want some real fun go back to the tunnel after Snake-Eyes in Poison Pool.
>dodging the same attack to get a hit or 2 in gets tedious fast
Please don't fucking tell me you actually dodged the Guardian Ape instead of parrying everything. Please.
>Yeah I'm sure there's faster ways about doing it but saying that is like saying every soulsborne boss is easy because they all can be beaten in 30 secs or less if you're autistic enough to try
Nah dude, it's really not that bad at all.
After putting it off I beat lady butterface, genichiro, seven spears, and the ninja in the well today. It was a good session, I really got in the zone when I beat Geni, wasn't revenge close on my successful fun.
>Dragon from the west
>Is obviously an asian design
What did they mean by this?
>demon drops 3
2, unless you had the bell on and it increases not only drop rates but amount too.
You also get one for completing the pot noble quest line.
6 per playthrough, I believe.
Beat the game on kb+m so I would say pretty gud
user, what country is directly west of Japan?
i got 3 on ng+ without the bell
What happens if you obey the Shinobi code when Sekiro's father tells him to abandon Kuro?
user
Why would I parry the Ape when he doesn't have normal posture damage until later anyway? You parry one attack and need to stop or get knocked the fuck out. He's not Genichiro who you need to go toe to toe because he actually has normal posture damage and inflicts a normal amount. Running lets me dodge literally all Apes damage without any risk
>get killed by giant snake
>doesn't swallow me whole
Holy shit dropped 3/10 game at best
shura ending
Must be NG+ buff then.
>You parry one attack and need to stop or get knocked the fuck out
Holy fuck, no. Perfect parry his attacks. Perfect parrying his large upward swing that he does after one of his combos literally gives you like 5 seconds of free damage.
>Running lets me dodge literally all Apes damage without any risk
Yeah, alright dude whatever, have fun running around doing chip damage and taking forever to kill bosses.
still cant read?
you fucking suck LOL
taking no damage doesnt mean shit when you need a lot of time to kill a boss because you suck at the actual game
you say its a very long fight because you are shit at the game and dont know how to play properly
