Alright, so who do I give which sake to? Does it actually matter?

Shadow Tower Abyss?

Post OC or your mother will get dragonrot on her sleep

Attached: D2dP3e_UwAA74YW.png (550x550, 178K)

What is there to talk about? It's been out for 4 years and discussed to death

>feels like a final boss
>its actually only the 1/3rd mark

Lightning reversal is so cool, I wish you didn't take chip damage from it though. Everything else you can mitigate damage but it seems like the "correct" way to deal with lightning moves is to just take it.

AAAAAAHHHHH OH GOD THE RAPE APE IS INSANE OH GOD HOW THE HELL DO I BEAT THIS ABOMINATION, I CAN'T EVEN LAND A SINGLE FUCKING HIT AAAAAAAAAAAA
FUCK HIS HIDDEN 2ND PHASE THAT SCARED THE SHIT OUTA ME

all sake does is give you a little bit of dialogue with whomever you give it to

POST YOUR FACE WHEN YOU KILLED THE CHAINED OGRE

Attached: shocked otter.webm (1280x720, 1.27M)

>Hesitation is defeat
That's a pretty good tip for that fight straight from the boss himself but it will still take me another 5 hours to win

Where do I go in Senpou Temple? I found the bell, but not the path forward.

you mean the path after Headless? That's not the main path to Senpou. The actual path is through the abandoned dungeon in the reservoir.

Which bell? You're supposed to ring a little bell in the temple to progress further, the huge bell is just an optional thing

>feels like a final boss
wut

Is it just me or is the Raven Feather prosthetic worthless?

the atmosphere is very much like a final boss

I used it to get into the sneks heart room instead of mincontrolling the monkey
thats it

Wait until you get to the actual final boss.

I mean that I entered Senpou the normal way and found the big bell. I also found the hidden passage back to Headless.
>You're supposed to ring a little bell in the temple to progress further
Alright, that's what I'm missing. Any hints where it is?

cross the bridge

So I
>am holding both snake things
>gave fruits to the girl
>gave rice to kuro and ate the thing in front of him
>gave truly precious bait to the carp
>haven't defeated the dragon yet

Can I still get the good ending? I fucked up the fat guy questline, ended up sending him to the doctor.

holy fuck are some of the vendors hidden really well. I just looked up the location of the guy selling the firecracker prosthetic and he's in a godamn mountain

It's very good defensive tool. Basically free dodge for any attacks you have a hard ass time dodging. See that attack windup for a fuckload of damage? Think it's too late to dodge it? Use it. Also you can use it to get past the snek in the Sunken Valley cave early if you want.

You can see a bridge from the place where the big bell is, you're supposed to go through that bridge, just backtrack a bit and try the other route and it will lead you there

the bell to the folding panel monkey boss realm?

I dunno about that, every Souls final boss is usually in a big open area.
See: Gywn, Gehrman, Nashandra and Soul of Cinder. Also applies to Sekiro of course.

Welp, time to find a bridge.

I got the firecracker and I have no idea where the guy is, I honestly don't remember. A lot of stuff in this game is super hidden.

I'm mostly enjoying it but fuck these guys. I don't understand how after 5 games From still can't do grabs properly.

Attached: wtf.webm (800x464, 1.03M)

Okay, but Armored Core seems more like a /vr/ subject.

am i a brainlet for not understanding the armored knight guy? i tried all my prostetics and my last idea is to get him off the cliff but you can't push him and he doesn't seem to have any moves that will throw himself off the cliff. afaik no enemy can throw themselves off the cliff

is this game as fun as Ninja Gaiden?

He's outside the first mini-boss you fight in Ashina Outskirts, on a hill.

>that user who keeps spreading his dragonrot to everyone

>Kotaro's good end
his_smile_and_optimism_restored.png

Is it possible to backstab him?

Attached: 814380_20190326004932_1.png (1920x1080, 2.23M)

it can be, or it could be way less fun depending on what you find fun

>my last idea is to get him off the cliff
Keep trying. Tip: Deathblow.

>Nine gourd charges
Nigga, how?

Break his posture, you've got the right idea of pushing him off

Push him off the bridge with a deathblow.

Your idea is right, you push him by performing a deathblow near the ledge.

You can probably sprint fast enough

What constitutes a miniboss anyway? Anything with a multiple Deathblow counter?

you need to give her the snake hearts and get frozen tears from her then you're good

Yo OP, that webm is fucking amazing quality, what are you settings for converting?

It's very different from Ninja Gaiden, but you will be holding block most of the time in Sekiro as well. That's about it for similarities. It's a great game, just nothing like Ninja Gaiden.

Yes it is.

Yeah. They usually give you a bead as well. And they'll have a unique name.

Mini boss means it has the boss health bar in the top left but without the black stroke behind the name.

anything with a top left healthbar that doesnt give you a memory

Mini-bosses have enemies in the arena with them; bosses don't.

Has to be named.

Be honest, how many bosses/minibosses have you cheesed with ledges/etc...?? I cheesed that swamp guy, O'Rin, two headlesses, seven spears, and that first miniboss in sunken valley like the swamp one.

I didn't get his Mushin esoteric book. Now he's dead. It's impossible to get it now, right?

The stage has breakable walls so get a few of them broken, when his posture bar is high deflect him a couple of times near the edge and if you get a deathblow within the general vicinity of where he can fall, he will plunge to his death

How do I give her the snake hearts? does she only take them after a certain point?

Minibosses have names too.

fuck the green monkey, if I didn't have one of those stealth candies I would have fucking killed myself in frustration

>path to the Headless from Ashina (temple posting)
from these threads, this seems like some next-level shit and I am going to avoid this part for now

Attached: Snake Eyes Shirahagi.webm (1280x720, 2.65M)

bloodborne is

I've only beat it to this stage once and I spazzed out and got killed. Kept getting red symbols over and over then got killed by the lightning.

What do I need to do to beat it?

How do I get to the butterfly lady? I got the peapods after beating the drunkard but when I go downstairs there's just a locked door.

Zero, I actually want to get good, not abuse poor pathfinding

Talk to Owl and he'll give you the key.

You need to go up to the estate the normal way and talk to the NPC there. You took the shortcut you aren't intended to find until later.

when do the 2 new samurai mini bosses appear? red guard and some other dude at the reservoir?
I already killed the 2 purple ninja but 2 samurai didnt appear

After the invasion.

Not many. The very first samurai big guy you meet who's easy to stealth. Otherwise I fought everything straight up, it's the only way to get better. Cheesing only hurts you and makes you do it over and over for other stuff and when you aren't allowed you suffer more than you would otherwise.
>O'Rin
Why? She has 3 moves.

am I missing something or corrupted monk can literally be the second boss you face

I got lucky with him then cause he slows down when he jumps down from the dark room and I smacked him with sword once and got a deathblow. I feel i'm retarded for taking forever to realize there was one following, I thought the game had buggy audio.

How do you fight Corrupted Monk before Genichiro?

The world is open in the directions you can take, so yes he could be if you go the depths first.
That's a fake corrupted monk though, you'll face the real one much later in the game.

uh, I'm fighting these guys right now
invasion already happened

Attached: 814380_20190325195608_1.png (1920x1080, 2.55M)

You probably screwed yourself over, dont mind it too much. You have to finish her questline BEFORE you beat Divine Dragon I believe.
If not maybe just keep checking back on her and see if she has any new dialogue?

>the other way leads to a GIANT FUCKING SNAKE
WHAT THE FUCK YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Attached: yoooo.jpg (1920x1080, 378K)

>EVERYBODY else is ahead of me

>I'm still stuck on the chained up hobo

I literally had to walk into the invisible one before I realized he was there so don't feel too bad.

Git gud.

Attached: Sekirogiantserpent.webm (640x360, 2.53M)

We Dark Souls 1 now. Not quite to the same extent, but closer than any from game since.

How the fuck do I fight Owl (Father) after getting the return ending?

I haven't beat Divine dragon yet tho. The only thing I fucked up is the fatass questline.

Down the well, into the bottomless hole, cheese Snake Eyes, pass fog place, pass mibu village, Monk.

NG+

He is apart of a different ending and requires you to eavesdrop several times on important NPCs right after the first Owl fight.

>O'Rin
How?

Is Ashina on fire? That's what I mean.

How fucking long can you be stuck on that guy, he's barely a tutorial miniboss

Kek. Godammit.

DSP, is that you?

Attached: DSP Chained Ogre.webm (888x500, 2.81M)

You can throw a ceramic shard at O'Rin from behind and get an instant deathblow

Then just keep going back to Divine Child every so often and at some point she should do something else I think, i dont think there are any other triggers.

How? You can even play him like a Souls boss and beat him

Didn't DSP beat him fairly quickly, quickly for being DSP anyway.

That's the fake Corrupted Monk, though.

will try, thanks user

Assuming you are serious and not baiting, literally just run around dude, circlestrafing works on lots of the unintelligent enemies, you just have to remember to run not strafe. will just go around all his moves and can punish.

How do you kill sword saint

So I'm hearing people fought this ape before Genichiro. Where do you go for that? The only place I didn't explore was the dungeon before fighting Genichiro. Is it down there?

It took him ~40 deaths.

Attached: DSP Souls Difficulty Metric.png (1153x3787, 3.88M)

it wasnt, but isnt that place the last

Yeah, I meant the fake one. It is also called just "Corrupted Monk".

Deatails? I'm compiling a list.

Learn his moveset and what abilities to reflect, what abilities to run from and what abilities to mikiri.
That's it, he can't really be cheesed afaik you just have to memorize his entire moveset.

Hesitation is defeat user, if you're guarding too much he will fucking wreck you, keep the pressure up

Different user here.
You need a scroll to give to her it's called something : infested once you do that she should have some dialogue also keep getting rice from her eventually she'll get sick give her the persimmon. She'll give you the rice for kuro, give it to him he does his thing, eat it talk to him again. Go back talk to divine loli again. If you do it all right at some point she should go to the boss area of the wise monkeys fight talk to her again she'll tell you to get a scroll off a dead body of a priest. He's that one monk in that cave near the end of the temple area with a blue robe on. Once you get that go back to her she'll talk about the snake hearts give them to her. Afterwards she'll lock her room. Visit and exhaust her dialogue for the door. She should open it and then give you the frozen tear. After that just beat the final boss. Key thing to remember make sure to exhaust all the dialogue for her and if she hasn't done something in a step just reload the area until it progresses or eat and great more rice. You should be able to finish the quest and get the tear after you beat the wise monkeys boss.

I don't think that's possible. You need the library key to get to the monkey valley, after the centipede giraffe, no?

Lazurite Axe or Lazurite Flame bros?

Attached: 1543900264144.gif (220x236, 307K)

looks like dark souls with a shit weeb reskin, no wonder you faggots are jizzing in your already stain-encrusted pants.

i didn't even make a face that's how easy it was, died once which isn't impressive

Theres enough sake in the game to get all the unique dialogues I believe, it's just a matter of when you find the sake and how far you are in the game

You should be to get it from Emma after he dies.

Webm related. She's also super exploitable against shurikens mid-air.

Attached: spin to win.webm (800x450, 2.85M)

I can't deflect some of his attacks it's fucking weird man.

Cope, it puts every Souls game in the dumpster.

Attached: Sekiro Finisher.webm (800x450, 2.92M)

None, I am enjoying the video game, why would I want to miss out on actually playing the video game by denying myself boss fights?

how the FUCK do I kill the drunkard

That's the most broken move in the game.

Ok, and nothing of that is related to the fat guy and the white pinwheel, I assume?
I'll keep realoading and getting rice until she moves, then.

Hmm alright then. I guess I'll keep exploring since I just beat him

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

How many optional bosses are at the ashina castle after it gets raided?

I'm at the point where I have to go to rope man so he can deliver me to Foutainhead Palace. I've beaten the ogre and two samurais here (including the serpent shrine one) at the castle. I have 3 prayer beads and 9 gourds. Am I missing anything besides the headlesses?

I thought you guys said the combat was deep? Holy shit

You can just play him like a Souls boss, honestly. Make sure to use the grapple on him whenever the prompt pops up, too.

Go back and kill Gyobu, then go back to Hirata. You're not meant to fight him that early on.

If I go for purification ending and fight owl again, can I still finish fountainhead? Or should I do the purification on a second playthrough?

kill all adds first, reset, sneak death blow, get the npc for help

Just jump away. I don't know how people get caught by this attack. By this point, you should know holds in FROM games can be wonky

How many deaths is he up to now in Sekiro? Did he even make it past the horseman?

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUU how did you do that? Which skill is it?

How hard is NG+?

It is. It takes a lot of experimentation or luck to find shit like that.

Talk to the npc by the water. Charge right. Destroy the shieldman using your axe first. Kill everyone else as fast as possible while the drunkard is attacking the NPC helper. It's not as hard as you might think

NG+ or new savefile? Which is easier

just killed it.
Took me about 40 mins tho I guess, pretty tough.
You just have to learn the fight, p1 deflect everything, jump the grabs and tuck in.
P2 when he wriggles to initiate scream keep jumping back like a madman. Deflect his combos and if his big overhead gets deflected he falls down and can be attacked a lot.

I only have 2 estus flasks and get 2shot

he beat him first try. same for the bull.

Is that mid-air deflection?
I was wondering why I would need that.

That's a really stylish way of killing those fuckers

>Demon's Souls and Bloodborne both piss baby easy
Fucking accurate as sin.

AHAH WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE TO FIGHT TWO APES AT THE SAME TIME

>easier
your priorities are way off m8

I refuse to believe he got the bull in one try.

A ton of shit is one shotting me at 18 vitality. You can also choose an harder mode and still take damage from regular blocks so only deflects negate all damage. So it's more punishing if you make mistakes but that's about it.

NG+ makes your posture meter decrease slower, so you can't rely on deflects as much. It's really hard.

i wish i was lying.

Attached: 242.jpg (267x181, 9K)

Well I made it to the notBonfire after that little scenario--did I miss my window to stab him?

It's weird that Demon's Souls is so hard for me. I never even beat it but I got through all the Dark Souls games

Anyone?

How the FUCK do I deal with Ashina Isshin's fire Judgement Cut?

>Kill it
>Try to go behind it in cave
>Weird, there's still fog
>Get slapped from behind
Yeah scared the shit out of me but you're in for a surprise still.

No, you don't need a skill to do it. The game explains that shock damage only applies on the ground, so what you do is jump and press R1 after letting yourself get hit to reflect the lightning back at him.

lmao, DSP beat the bull first try. Egoraptor must be on suicide watch.

twitter.com/egoraptor/status/1109738023279718400

He went to the Abandoned Dungeon and now he's stuck on Lady Butterfly.

Try doing that.

is the lazulli material farmable?

>It took him ~40 deaths.
No it didn't. I watch dsp for the rage but this is just incorrect it was like not even 20. Most deaths was probably on the one armed sword guy

H-How? Where did you stop?

No you shouldn't have to finish the fat guy's quest to do her questline. It's just an easy way to get a persimmon instead of looting one or buying it from a merchant. Also if you're still stuck there was a guide for her quest on the Reddit somewhere last I checked or go ask the /vg/ thread if your really desperate.

How the fuck is he at the abandoned dungeon and stuck on mada mada?

>tfw modding comes out
>tfw still no performance mod for us potatochumps
bros...

Attached: if_only_you_knew_how_bad_things_really_were.png (512x512, 300K)

No, he killed lady butterfly. He also wasn't using ressurects at all until just now because someone in the chat told him it accelerated dragonrot

>people are actually surprised that you aren't supposed to parry flaming hay bales

At the boss fight with the false king that downlevels you. Not only is the fight difficult for me but the ammount of enemies on the way there are fucking annoying. That stupid dragon spiting fire doesn't help either and usually kills me.

>Reddit
>/vg/
I'm not that desperate.
Thanks user. I just wanted to confirm really the fatman thing, because that's the only questline I truly fucked up. I have a fuckton of persimmons I farmed from the monkeys.

When I stopped watching, he was getting rekt by her. Where is he at now?

How do people have trouble with Blazing Bull? Fireworks trivialize the thing.

The grab itself is actually the very last bit where she pulls it back :^)
I fucking hate moves that are so slow you end up getting hit as you prepare a punish already. Dodging in too soon like a retard as bosses were just about to stab your face in felt terrible too.

who /parries by mashing L1 constantly/ here

Didnt cheese any boss with ledges, but cheesed like half the bosses in the game with firecrackers.

I did this until Geinichiro.

been sleeping for 3 weeks, is the game actually good?

>How do people have trouble with Blazing Bull
Every boss is a cakewalk compare to that shit

Good luck doing that against later bosses.

Attached: Isshin.webm (720x404, 2.91M)

Depends on the situtation. The sencond phase with the ape is not a very good idea to that

You aren't actually parrying

is guardian ape the best boss in the game?
>that arena
>you know you're gonna get fucked when you see his back from up the mountain
>great moveset
>actually usable grapple to imitate and mock him
>just when you think it's over he thinks otherwise
>just when you think it's over again he calls his mate
>you returning to finish him after getting the you know sword
>amazing animations without being another humanoid boss
>actually worth to use terror/poison dispels and sugar buffs during downtime

This actually fucks you up, you wont get a proper deflect this way, a loading screen tooltip actually warns you that mashing the button will make the deflect window smaller. I used to mash to block but having beat the game, I will say that once you grow a pair and start parrying properly, bosses become much easier.

That shit ain't gonna cut it later so have fun while it lasts

>Just jump away.
I know how to dodge the fucking attack. But in the video I assumed I would not have to dodge since I was BEHIND the enemy while 90% of the attack already took place.
>By this point, you should know holds in FROM games can be wonky
I know they suck, the point is that they should fucking learn.
>The grab itself is actually the very last bit where she pulls it back :^)
Yeah I know, it's really easy to time a dodge to avoid it, when the game doesn't decide to teleport you into it.
>I fucking hate moves that are so slow you end up getting hit as you prepare a punish already.
The fat minibosses, like the drunk guy in hirata, fuck me up because of this.

Good luck masher fag. The Sword Saint will rape you.

I did. Took fucking years to kill because my damage was so low.

No, you only get 3 of those from bosses on each NG.

where even is this?

>the best boss in the game

Attached: Sekiro-Shadows-Die-Twice-How-to-Beat-Genichiro-Ashina.jpg (1280x720, 247K)

i always parry to early and get hit.

Attached: 1482616447649.jpg (250x250, 11K)

On your way to Sunken Valley

Wow that fucking sucks.

Fuck this monkey.

I'm still early on but it really feels like Boletaria with all the "does not open from this side" shortcuts, seeing other parts of the level from where you're at, enemies getting slightly stronger with better gear/different items/etc.

Are you playing on a toaster?

> Extremely rare drop from Okami Warriors in Fountainhead Palace (may need Bell Curse to drop)

They are farmable

I fucking LOVE how open this game is and that we're all fighting bosses in different orders

Is that from fextralife?

I got as far as Fountainhead Palace like this, so I guess I'll see him soon.

How the fuck do I get the divine heir to the illusion temple, I have both fruits and I'm pretty sure I gave her the scroll

I got lucky

Attached: lightninghitsdoor.webm (1920x1080, 2.84M)

I DID IT BROS. I BEAT THE CHAINED HOBO GRAPPLER

took me only 125 times!

What is the great white whisker used for?

Yea

Still not as open as Dark Souls 1.
Reminder: You can literally fight Four Kings second.

Can someone please tell if you can dash with your guatd up , I have been fighting the shinobi hunter for like 2 hours and I just can beat that asshole no matter what I do he either kills me with a grab(no matter if i dodge to the side or behind him he still hits me with it) or I try to back away hi hits me with his fucking lance from like 10 miles away. Honestly I like the game but this asshole is making me loose my fucking mind.

Anyone else get screwed by the control config?
I switched lock on and crouch.
I figure crouch works well with camera movement when I'm being observant of my surroundings.
And lock on works well with movement for whenever I panic and run away.
Switched Action and Use Item, too, because I keep fucking that up.

reminder emma fucks monkeys

Wondering this too. Have you gone to Foutanihead Palace yet? Maybe that triggers it

>finish him
But I thought the ape died when you severed it's head?
The insect inside of him took control of the, and became the new host.
Poor monkey...

The entire world once you get to Ashina castle is basically the second coming of Dark Souls 1. Not quite as much as I would like but exploring around in endgame I've found some area connections that really really surprised me, and thinking forward to NG+ runs theres a lot of stuff I can do in different orders I realize. DS3 and BB had lots of the classic Demons Souls shortcuts in them, but Sekiro brings back the Dark Souls 1 aspect of the world itself being interconnected in a similar way, and how the entire world can basically be seen from anywhere else and you can sort of imagine the entire place in your head.

give it to the guy by the feeding grounds

I wish I could enjoy action games but I just don't have the reaction for them anymore. I really hate how it feels like you have to parry for three minutes without getting hit once or twice.

desu i think the game is a little too short for my taste, but oh well, maybe i'm just good.
Now to wait for Nioh 2

After I beat the chained ogre do I go into the dream or do I continue?

God I feel dumb. Thank you.

HOW THE HELL DO I BEAT HIM?

Attached: 70.jpg (640x360, 30K)

Keep me posted.

did you turn on your monitor on the 124th try?

Yeah, I've cleared a bit of it, did the bull. The heir only tells me the rice isn't ready yet.

It's shorter than Dark Souls for sure. By the time you get to Sekiro's version of Anor Londo you're actually at the end of the game.

How?

You can get to the ape without opening the snake shrine by plunging on the snake from above.

>got my first(?) Recovery Charm + Droplet
HELP WHO DO I CURE
All I can cure right now anyhow would be Inosuke's Mom, Sculptor, or the first Merchant in Ashina.

Keep going until you beat Gyobu.

The only thing Sekiro is missing is shortcuts. There are many parts in the game where you're just a few steps away from reaching the adjacent zone but there's never any shortcuts.

YOU MUST ROBEEERTOOOOOO

Beat the drunkard in the dream then continue on

Get roberts note and you can skip the fight

That boss is a dodge/run attack usage tutorial.

Shit's scaring me. I gave the rice to kuro and got the two hearts too. Also gave her the tome. I wonder if we're locked for some stupid reason

Biggest shortcut I can think of is going to Mt. Kongo early and unless im missing something being able to fight armored warrior before fighting any real bosses.

Go to the Burg, go down to where Havel is, go through Darkroot, kill Sif, go back to New Londo and fight Four Kings.

Attached: Dark Souls - Bottom of the Well to the Four Kings.webm (960x540, 1.75M)

i used this strat for the entire game, now im stuck on isshin and have been all day

You cure everyone who has it at once

Deathblow him near the edge of the bridge

Are 8 prayer beads and 13 attack enough to start NG+?

You cure everyone when you use.
Forever, as well.

Please respond.

It cures everyone at the same time. Dragonrot is really forgiving and kind of a non-issue, I think its supposed to act as more of a deterrant to dieing rather than a real punishment, try to make you value your life a bit more and play safer and think rather than throwing yourself at a wall.

Give me one reason why I shouldn't be doing the running strat against Guardian Ape, his hitbox is so fucking random holy shit

Ah yeah I should have read it more carefully. Is it something I should save, or is Dragonrot something that continually encroaches?

Maybe, I think I started the purification route by eavesdropping on him and talking to Emma, but I have no idea if that's the reason.

Guy with the spear? Get Mikiri Counter, that move is a godsend against thrusting attacks

It comes back, but not to the same people

>NG+ no charm + bell demon
>most later bosses will straight up one shot you
>you take half damage from blocked attacks that miss deflection window
>also take full posture meter damage
>any boss with long attack strings will maul you for half your health if you mess up a single deflect and likely stun you

I'm starting to think choosing additional suffering was the wrong choice

Attached: 1528130052677.png (421x323, 286K)

Fuck me, I completely forgot about the Burg/Darkroot shortcut

You can cheese his second phase by just constantly running around the arena until he does either the slide swipe or the four stabs then run in do two attacks and then bounce or his terror bullshit will fuck you.

The only person I evesdropped was Isshin but I'm pretty sure I only evesdropped him before fighting Owl

Continue the questline, it's the Mortal Blade

>that webm

No way that's real

Yes.

Attached: 1553365439511.png (1527x261, 771K)

better to put him out of misery instead of him being abused by a parasite for eternity

I have the mortal blade. On my way to Fountainhead Palace. You just jumped over him and using the blade? I thought you were using some skill

The first step of purification is apparently eavesdropping on Isshin and Emma at his house, so that might be it. I really hope not.

Yeah, there are some but not many. Most of the boss runs are designed like Dark Souls 3 with alternate quick routes, for example using the grappling hook to get to the Owl fight in like 10 seconds instead of fighting everything. Apart from the grappling thing, infinite stamina kinda reduces the need for a lot of shortcuts too.

How do I make a separate NG+ save slot?

Do grinding attack power helps in any way?
Is there a limit to how much I grand this?

It is. It's in the skill menu for combat arts.

No fucking way

>general tencent yamauchi

What the fuck why are there so many bosses with ads around them shit is annoying

yes but you have to learn the secret of the carp young one

Any advice for Gyoubu?

i want to fight hirata estate owl but can't be fucked to play the game again yet

Attached: 1539824915521.png (970x592, 1.28M)

You can't grind for attack power, you only gain more after defeating bosses

But I gave the rice to kuro after evesdropping Isshin so I doubt that's what locking the ending

Speaking of carp, I haven't seen any since meeting the scale vendor.

I don't understand how people are saying this game is harder than the souls games.

deathblow near open window and you'll kick him down

call up roberto

Blame From for yet again releasing a game with no Boss Rush mode

Yes you can grind for power. You need the Mask which lets you convert a skill point for one attack power.

Firecrackers.

I still don't know who the fucks is Isshin. I thought it was the old man in the tower besides geinichiro, but then Emma says Isshin is hidden and sick, far away, while standing right besides the old man.

Firecrackers and always stay as close to him as possible (read: always grapple when given the opportunity).

There's a bunch all over the place. Especially in the sunken valley.

More like blame From for not giving player warnings and not backing up save files at important moments

Where do I get this mask I fucking hate being weak

>no coop to get carried by other players
>no shield block backpedal
>no vitality/end pumping
>no broken armor set
>no cheese weapon setup
>no bow poking
>no down-time during bossfights since their healthbars are posture based which means you can't just continuously run away and take a quick sippy if you don't want their healthbar to recover
>stats increase through limited items which means you can't just farm yourself to an insanely high SL to power through encounters
>weapon moveset is deliberately simple, low range, doesn't have easily accessible poke moves that you can hit from a dozen dick-lengths away
>no i-frames

Attached: hidetakamiyazaki.png (700x495, 176K)

Well shit I don't have firecrackers.

It requires faster reactions, has more complex boss patterns to learn, more mechanics to switch between on the fly (deflecting, mikiri counters, jump kicks, grab doding, interrupting) vs just dodge and r1, is more punishing in regards to damage and gives less healing items which are less powerful.

Oh shit my bad, didn't know what the mask was for because I can't find the 3rd piece

Put down your sword.

I'm so fucking bored of the combat, it's actually even more shallow than Souls combat somehow.

They try to pretend that combat arts and tools mix things up but in true From Soft fashion they're all completely useless.

I just got to this fight
Holy fucking shit I absolutely detest that the correct answer to his bow is just sitting back spamming parry since it tracks like crazy and he can vary the timing randomly at will
It's not actually that hard, his regular attacks all have really standard timings and he has a couple easily punishable patterns. I got him into phase two on my second try and will probably beat him in another one or two attempts but this feels so absolutely wrong.
My entire history of videogame experience is telling me that when someone pulls out a long range weapon in a close range fight you should be dodging it and punishing, not just sitting and blocking it. With a sword.

Otherwise cool fight, I haven't got to do a lightning reversal yet since he always misses me because I end up jumping past him.

End game item. You need 6500 sen and 7 treasure carps

Been playing it since release day, only just beat Genichiro and explored the mist forest in its entirety. Before finding my way to Genichiro I had explored the sunken valley and gotten cockblocked by the locked gate, then got blocked again by the closed Senpu temple. No idea how I missed the window to Genichiro the first time.
Absolute kino. 10/10 game. From's best game by far.

Wait.. what?

based miyazaki

Go to Ashina Outskirts, the place where you fought the first mini-boss and the vendor that sells them to you is on a cliff to the left of the area right outside the boss arena. They cost 500 sen.

How do I replicate this?

Exactly what you read.
When you use it at the shrine, it cures everyone that is infected, and those people can't get sick anymore.

No idea, seems like everyone's having trouble figuring out this ending. What a shit show.

>magnum opus

How the FUCK do I get to that side? I can't work it out.

does walking in any way affect the parry? i feel i parry better while standing still.

Demons > DS1 > BB > DS3 > Sekiro = DS2

this is what I imagined games would be like when I was a kid. might unironically be game of the decade.

yikes

>>magnum opus

Exactly.

Find the underwater passage.

git gud

It really isn't an issue at all unless you are a supreme huge shitter. It's super easy to cure. All the people complaining about it day 1 were just freaking out for obvious reasons and because it wasn't clear you could cure everyone at once and whether death or resurrection triggered it. In reality, couple weeks from now no one will give a shit about Dragonrot.

>Practice parrying for 45 minutes
>Can't parry generic soldier

I can't play this king of game, i have the reaction time of a rock. Already uninstalled once after getting destroyed 50 times by the chained fuck.

Go underwater on the very right, you'll get through an area with a giant carp that will try to fuck you up.
After that, there's another idol. Go inside the house next to the idol, cross it and you'll get a seed and come in a new area, in this area, turn around and you'll see a grappling point on the roof. If you see lightning, you passed it.

>when I was a kid
2008? But 3D Ninja Gaiden was already out by then

How many prayer necklaces are there? I've beaten the divine dragon and I have 7. So I have 28 beads in total.

Attached: 1551571108809.jpg (460x580, 34K)

Sekiro doesn't play at all like Ninja Gaiden

How do you get to the mist forest? I'm completely lost. I've gotten both the snake hearts. Beat Rape Ape, and have no idea where to go.

Should I fight this guy? I just got my ass kicked many times by the ogre and don't know if I can do this right away

Attached: IMG_20190325_204511.jpg (1920x1080, 621K)

Correct.

Unfortunately not but NG's better

You can parry while having your guard up, so if you fuck up the parry you guard

someone pls tell me what becomes of the samurai if you don't send him to the surgeon, i sent him after my second encounter (at the big pit you throw yourself in)
does he have a questline? also, can i send him to help the merchant?

So why am I finding it so much easier than souls games? I'm around two thirds through the game and I haven't gotten stuck on a single boss for more than like 40 minutes

Hang on I'm gonna make a webm tutorial on how to get there, so we can repost every time someone asks.

ogre taught you to use the dodge and jump button
this guy will teach you how to use parry

>magnum opus
>no co-op

I'm glad you understand. Thank God I don't have to read thousands of posts from huge PVP faggot niggers complaining about balance patches, OP prosthetics/combat arts, and lag inundating every Sekiro thread. Thank fucking Christ.

through the depths from reservoir

Being stuck for 40 mins is already more than any Souls bosses took me especially if you consider how Sekiro fights are shorter and don't force you to run through a whole level

thanks finally beat him. Fuck him.

So I started game anew after finding out I fucked up true ending, and holy fuck, it's so tiny now that I don't need to learn mechanics. It's been half a day and I'm near Owl fight already. Even DS3 wasn't so short for fuck's sake, it is genuinely disappointing that people keep rewarding fromniggers for doing less and less job for same price.

Yes, he has a necklace bead

abandoned dungeon, past the purple ghost man

You fucked up man.

>explored the mist forest in its entirety

I take it you explored beyond the mist forest as well?

Dogshit hipster taste. Demon's Souls was good for the first one, but it's braindead easy with a garbage amount of gimmick bosses and has the simplest level design
>inb4 b-but you can go to any archstone in any order a-and Tower of Latria!!

He eventually dies at the end of his questline after you kill a certain mini boss. His death grants you an item that lets you recover one ressurrection. I prefer sending him to the doctor because you get materials for upgrading the prosthetics

I beat him first try with oil and fire, he took at burn DoT like a little bitch.

It was a good break from getting bodied by Lady Butterfly

I think you completely missed what made DS2 so hated

Apparently I got a rice ball from Kuro. I just ate it, and now I can request more rice from the divine kid. Maybe it works after all.

Abandoned dungeon or the poison snake cave shrine.

>beat the game yesterday
>start up ng+ today
>everything is the same but enemies are buffed

Sekiro is DS2 level bad in terms of game design

Here, I did it.

Attached: how to get there.webm (500x284, 2.89M)

Dunno, I'm interested now. Never tried it for that

Couldn't be further from the truth

Unironically neck yourself.

It's their best level design because of vertical all the levels are and how the encounter design is based around lots of movement from the player.

Yes, I like Echo Night Beyond.

If you want a physical copy now is the time its climbing.

Deaths aren't a good measure of difficulty because it doesnt account for density over time. An easy long game will eventually have more deaths than a short and difficult one.

Based.

yeah the attack's hitbox is her entire weapon WHEN she starts pulling it back. the reason it hit you in that webm is because she hit you with the back of her weapon when she pulled it back
knowing this, it's easy to just hold S (or analog stick down if youre a casual) as soon as you see the red kanji and never get hit by that thing ever again. don't even need to dodge or anything because the windup for that is so long, but the overly long animation confuses players that dont understand when the actual hitbox appears. if you know it snake-eyes becomes the easiest miniboss in the game pretty much

I think the main difference is that the player has better tools and mobility. A good Souls player will still be hamstrung by things like stamina and animation locks while a good Sekiro player can overcome new challenges very easily.

>PUT DOWN YOUR BLADE
>I will not
Having a voiced protag is pretty kino at times

That's not a cheese that's a mechanic and she's literally the tutorial boss for that mechanic. You're supposed to guard break her constantly like that because she's designed to be punished by it

Use mikiri counter

Don't. He's optional and you just get a bead for defeating him. Just come back later.

How the hell does anyone get bodied by a literal tutorial boss

C O P E

Attached: Genichiro Fight.webm (1280x720, 2.97M)

If it's the bell that gives you a warning before ringing it

You can just ring it, it turns the game into hard mode, but it also gives you an item to return to normal whenever you want, it's for farming items or some shit

parry him until he does that one move
parry that one and get a stun
free damage, run away cuz he will get up and scream

rinse and repeat

he's really fucking easy, first phase is harder tbqh

why are you talking about the game if you clearly haven't played it?

Best level design and most mechanically rich game from software has ever made. Designing the entire game around 1 single class allowed from to really flex and it turned out awesome.

Climbing down Sunken Valley is kino as fuck when you see those huge statues. Fuck this game looks good

That spear is so damn aesthetic, look at it. I need it in a Souls game with PvP.

is there any way to get across the broken bridge after you kill the serpent snake i accidently fell off again after doing the cut scene

>let's also make a mechanic that lock the player out of content if they die too much

It really doesn't matter, really.

Dragonrot is just really poorly implemented honestly, you can heal it later on but I think it can't kill anyone. I don't see how it could since you actually need those npcs.

keep sucking those testes faggots

>do bull first try
>do 7 spears first try

get good

but you literally are though. if you parry his charge he falls over and lets you take hits in before getting up. you're also meant to lead him into walls to crash into and take another couple hits in.

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU GO UNDER WATER?!

can you kill the giant fish?

I didn't even go in the box I just fucking peaced as soon as it looked away.

Seething Soulsfag. From just undid their past ten years with one game.

You get it as an ability later. It's mandatory, don't worry.

Wait a second. I got "trapped" in the dried heart shrine and then just homeward idol'd out of there. I thought there weren't any exits.

how am I meant to deflect.. spam tapping l1 or hold it down longer?

Of all the games to drop multiplayer on they do it when the combat system would be the most fun to fight other players with.

Seriously can you imagine how fun it would be to run around fighting one another with all the tools available? Posture bar fixed the turtling issue completely not to mention fast pace no stamina bar fightan would rule

holy shit, now I want to buy that game

I have no idea. I feed him some truly precious bait and he vanished.

so what happens when i spirit away that fat monk guy?

You're full of shit.

The second phase seems scary but is actually super simple if you just calm down and parry it’s very slow moves. If you do it will do a desperation overhead that when parried makes him fall down on top of you (but without dealing damage to you) which gives you a massive combo

>Deaths aren't a good measure of difficulty because it doesnt account for density over time.
All Souls games and Bloodborne are roughly the same length though.
>An easy long game will eventually have more deaths than a short and difficult one.
Not true. On average I guarantee you people will die less in the 30+ hours of something like Zelda Wind Waker than the 15 hours of Ninja Gaiden Black or II.

>master from i finished licking all the salt and dirt off of your sack make I have another semen shake?

Attached: Dark Souls PvP.webm (768x432, 3M)

There is a hook spot above where you get the dried heart.

Not sure if there is anything of value there, I recall there being one item around but I'm not sure there is a path.

>seven spears
>there are like 2 of them

Not a single one. Who the fuck cheeses games like this? It's not MMORPG where you're just fighting for loot. I'd rather die 50 times and learn patters perfectly before I "cheese" anything

nothing

There was a hole in the up-right corner where you picked up the heart.

acquire proficiency

I'm serious. He just hits me with lightning and fucks me over. I don't know what the game wants me to do.

and yet there are still
>shockwaves
>broken hit boxes
>pointless mechanics

How in the goddamn do I get more persimmons? The child hungers for more, but I'm out and the vendor near Shugendo doesn't have anymore.

Attached: 1542556211600.png (188x264, 77K)

he's sent to a special place you'll visit later on.

When I was a kid, I died more to Puppet Ganon than I have any Souls boss.

Attached: 8e8.png (509x619, 8K)

A Sekiro type gameplay with multiple weapons would be incredible

He no seriously imma tell you, it's kinda unexpected

Seems to suffer through it

Then it turns out that everything went right and you actually find him later on happy and shit

The upgrade that lets it activate even if you pressed it just after getting hit is really useful. Enemies, mainly bosses, also react as if you got hit when you use it, sometimes it seems like they don’t reorient to you for a whole two seconds, letting you do what you want in that window.

>went to the top of the world

Attached: 1496107906633.jpg (476x687, 54K)

Shouldn't we talk about Sekiro instead?
we'be had plenty of Bloodborne threads

There is a path to the poison pool where Snake Cunt is.

Ring demon bell, kill monkeys at Mt.Kongo.

The DLC will make or break this game.

>Tomoe
>the "first" witnessed shura
>potentially another sword
>more prosthetic tools
>possible underworld location
>more yokai

If the DLC delivers this might rival Bloodborne.

Any tips for Demon of Hatred?

>pointless mechanics
This is a first. What are these "pointless mechanics" you speak of?

I can beat geni and phase 1 of sword saint with my eyes closed but motherfucker gets the spear out and im clueless. WHEN THE FUCK CAN I HIT THIS GUY HE JUST KEEPS COMBOING

Did you get Kotaros?

Where do you find him?

You get a special persimmon later

What does he gives you if you spirit him away instead of selling him off to the doctor?

it's very obvious their P2P multiplayer can't handle the precise parry system, that's why it was dropped completely instead of investing to improve the network play

Just lure her to the poison water and find a spot where she can't shoot you. She'll never de-aggro so she'll just walk back and forth. She has a high poison resistance so it takes forever but it's a completely safe strategy.

Where's this cutie?

Well, I totally missed that. I was wondering what that cave above Snake Bitch's area was.

fruit

An item to increase poise for a time iirc

In a pocket dimension. With monkeys. Kind of.

What does it do different than normal persimmons you feed the loli?

Slayer of Demons is the strongest thing in the soulsverse so far.

So basically it's only harder for someone who sucks ass and cheesed every souls game.

I love Emma!

bro you keep posting this shit in EVERY thread

I just beat the final boss. Are there alternate endings and if so, do I need NG+ to see them? Thanks.

Are you sure it's one guy, and not a bunch of guys running into the exact same problem?

I could swear it's the same exact screenshot

Almost never, just deflect untill he does the pistol shots to thrust that is laughably easy to counter, or does one of his delayed slashes.
Pretty much don't attack unless he is just chilling right in your face with his sword down in his idle pose.

Stopped reading at the exploration bit. It seems you didn't explore well enough.

That's elder abuse.

Come on. You didn't really beat all of those bosses on the first try.

If there's no ROBERTOOOOOO DLC I'm gonna fucking fly to Japan and accost miyazaki

Also can someone explain to me what the fuck the centipedes are? I get that the nobles experimented with immortality but they became ayylmaos not bugs

It's different people. One of them was me.
It's just confusing, if feels like you should be able to go up there from the front.
That's why I made

Why does it feel like all the "criticisms" are from Soulsfags who are upset that it isn't Dark Souls IV: The Fire Burns On?

You mean in the monkey boss room? It just fades to black and nothing happens it seems.

Based.

Teleport to Rape Ape's watering hole.

No, I mean actual monkey mobs. There is a spot to the right with a bunch of them, right after the bonfire after the armored dude.

Redditors are trying to separate it so hard from the Souls games so they don't have to amend their "Soulsborne" meme word.

It dodges everything as far as ive used it, i think its pretty underrated

Divine confetti is the worst mechanic ever introduced. Requiring consumables to engage with a boss in any meaningful capacity is bullshit.

Attached: headless.jpg (1212x682, 57K)

It's not Souls, It's Sekiro.

...going right now.
Thanks user.

Divine confetti isn't required.

I set my parry to the trigger so I can’t really do that effectively, but I’m oneshotting a lot of bosses so it balances out

optional* boss

Wait that's what you need to kill it? I was wondering why I was so slow

There's an item description, or bit of dialogue or something, that describes the monks taking the "oath of the worm", if I remember correctly.

My interpretation of the centipedes is that they're one of the game's three forms of immortality, this one representing parasitization of the host's body, extending its lifespan beyond its normal means. It's as if the monks' minds became so stretched with age and senility that they accepted these bugs into their bodies to prolong their existence. But maybe I'm reading into it too much.

A recurring theme in the game seems to be objects of disease and decay revered as somehow holy or supernatural. For instance, the scented stone at the end of Mibu Village (which clearly resembles some kind of calcium/mineral build up, like a kidney stone), or the snake hearts. The "lump of fat wax" seems to hint at the people of the era not understanding the significance of cancer.

>Fighting lady butterfly right now

its fucking insane
can dodge anything, nullifying tracking on enemies
gets an upgrade that teleports you out of combos mid combo

Do you need confetti for trash on the way to that boss?

Just use the shruikens to one hit them.

You can completely skip these guys, but near the end of the game you're able to purchase divine confetti in unlimited capacity.

Snap seeds are absolutely useless. Just run in a circle while the clones are up and then keep on whacking her.

yo has this game got bows
i got ds3 because of the weapon arts nd that bows might be viable but its still fucking dickaids to play bows in that

Bell demon doesn’t effect bosses
Otherwise I’m a real god gamer for beating ape in under fifteen minutes

There's no way to jump and deathblow this guy like the one in the forest, right?

>yo has this game got bows
No.

W-which one in the forest?

yep. I spent some 15 hours without facing a single boss after Lady Butterfly and the horse dude. I was at O'Rin when I realized I completely missed the faggot in the Castle

I have a problem skipping bosses when I know you are "technically" able to beat them but that's my own problem. Guess I'll hold off for later, thanks for the advice.

There's another one close to the Ashina Depths - Hidden Forest idol.

>Play any souls game

I'm praying they add pvp in the expansion

The Genichiro fight is peak From kino.

>A game as precise as Sekiro
>From pvp

You really want to face off against those katanas that swing at the air 5 feet from your face and somehow do damage?

Someone told me you can miss something during the first snake chase sequence. What did I miss?

>Of all the games to drop multiplayer on they do it when the combat system would be the most fun to fight other players with.
The combat system is only as good as it is because it has no multiplayer, you fucking brainlet. They don't have to account for network programming when designing a lot of the moves and mechanics.

The "dueling" is exactly the same as dark souls 3 guardbreak ripostes, except here enemies don't need a greatshield to completely block your attacks and just do so with tiny weeb swords

This happened to me first playthrough. I completely forgot Ashina Castle and missed Hirata so I spent hours dying to Snake Eyes before finally getting cucked by the Monk.

>someone saved my webm
t-thanks user

she actually looks like shit in game weirdly. the SSAO does some crazy shit on her face

Why are you posting dark souls 1 instead of bloodborne or dark souls 3 pvp?

From still don't use the cutscene models for the in game models.

Get in here, Sekirochads.

Carebears are always so triggered at the very existence of a pvp option. Its fucking adorable. Like they think we're gonna show up and kill 'em IRL

it already beats bloodborne by a long shot. the only good part of BB was its DLC

>guard break
Is that what that means? I thought guard break was more like to brute force through their guard. He is just attacking her when she is stuck in some animation she can't cancel or parry out of, like starting to fly up in the air.

>sword saint
>uses a spear
wut

hi DSP

Humans have the biggest dicks of all the apes. You would have to be less that 3.5 inches erect to get cucked by a chimp, less than 2.5 inches by a gorilla.

If you insist.

Yes, and the animation and moves for it are awesome.
Sadly, they are used by someone other than you.

How do you dodge the tracking lunge? Can you jump over it?
