Makes horror and storytelling great again

this is all based on my vague memory of the game
>Purple man kills a kid a long time before the game starts
>kid's ghost haunts a puppet
>purple man keeps killing children over the years
>kid's ghost gets children to haunt the remaining animatronics
>animatronics start malfunctioning and things happen like one biting a kid
>purple man hides out in the restaurant after it's shut down and hides inside an old suit that ends up killing him(the animatronic in the third game is that animatronic with his ghost haunting it and his dead body trapped inside
that's all that happens in the game's story, but apparently after the third game they start doing a lot of weird shit that makes no sense, I think they retcon everything that happens in the first 3 games, and shit just gets REALLY shitty.

If i remember he was stuffing the kids bodies into the suits aswell, and one of the games after 3 you play as the kid that got bit or some shit

correction: while the lore does get shitty, only one thing was retconned (scott never revealed what it was, all we know is that something was)
purple guys son is actually the protagonist in all games because hes trying to set the souls free from the animatronics, its revealed that the purple guy kills kids because he wants to use their life force as a way to make himself immortal and create living beings out of metal. THEN its revealed that mike (the purple guys son) is actually an android for some reason???
eventually the purple guy and the animatronics are lured into a location during the last game and burned alive
i honestly loved the storytelling in the first three games but 4 turned it into a shitshow. at least there are still some cool designs with the funtimes and ennard

the first 3 are fine, it's an inoffensive straight forward story that ends pretty satisfyingly. But then 4 and on it gets REALLY REALLY bad

It's basically the Trapped in the Closet of the horror genre.
I especially like the part where a wealthy australian businessman built a robot that lactates ice cream that ends up killing his autistic daughter who then tries to wear his skin as a suit after possessing the ice cream robot, only to realize thirty years later that she was actually killing and hollowing out her brother, not her father.

That's a misunderstanding on Scott's part. He seems to believe so long as something isn't directly contradicted by a plot element, it's not a retcon.

Every game after 1 has large swaths of retcons. That's because most of them don't directly contradict the first game, and instead add more restaurants and characters into the murky background.
The "one retcon" is probably the Puppet changing from a guy to a girl to accommodate the book's Mary Sue OC, who got canonized in Pizzeria Simulator. The original minigame that depicted her death involved the recurring words "Save Him", referring to the kid dying.

Well, it's usually done through 8-bit styled minigames or dialogue exposition. But the last two games got really asinine with it, since you'd need to go into the game's files to find out what the characters in that game were built to do, and the final one just kind of kills everyone off and all the story comes from a few blueprints.

This cuts out all the fatty stuff, but it's missing the part where the Australian runs over a kid's dog in a car capable of going 200 mph so he can use it to lure her into the back of a restaurant he somehow knew she'd be at the same time as him and kill her.
