Is there a way to avoid dragonrot completely? Is is better to simply accept death every time?

Accepting death is the way of the samurai.

Resurrect and reset/run-away like a bitch. Alternatively, git gud.

But i thought the ressurection itself was the penalty cause?

No it's when you actually die.

you only get dragonrot when you die and respawn at an idol

Do people not read dialogue?
Emma says it's when you can't resurrect through your own power.

Exactly, so surely its better to choose death instead than risk fucking up again? Either way one shot would make you work harder.

When you die (not resurrect) you still come back obviously. The explanation for this is that it uses the power of others to revive you when you choose 'death'

I thought it was dying that brought about Dragonrot? Not ressing

No, you numbnut. You don't have a choice whether you resurrect or not. Just whether it's using your own power(resurrect) or others(death).

Am i retarded for getting it completly wrong? So far No dragonrot has aflicted my npcs after i healed them once and stopped using resurrective power.

So i actually get dragonrot when i respawn at an Idol?

Ok ok so WHY does it give you the option at all to choose death the first time round. Sounds like it carries zero benefit then?

>Is there a way to avoid dragonrot completely?
Stop having sex with lizards you disgusting scaley bastard.

Probably if you don't care about dragonrot at all, it's just faster to die than carry on a losing battle.

If I fuck up on a boss early and lose my revive I’d rather accept death and start over.

this, whole idea makes no fucking scene the fucking from the gameplay perspective

Dragonrot is a complete meme. The only thing that happens is that your chance of unseen blessing goes down, meaning you lose more shit when you die.
No characters die from it and it's easy as fuck to cure. Dont worry about it.

are you niggers sure resurrecting from the first death doesnt bring dragonrot? I mean, you get that automatically from the statue after all.
Bonus question: when do I get to use the second resurrection? I still don't understand how that works

Ressurecting doesnt bring dragonrot.
Dragonrot happens when the blood runs out of res juice and it uses other's lifeforce to ressurect you instead. This is why the NPCs get sick when you die for real and respawn at nearby shrine.

I thought that ressing caused dragon rot too.
So I stopped using it entirely, still kept getting rot.
Then I started using it again, didn't increase the rate in the slightest.
It's only proper deaths that cause it.

It haults any questlines but thats really all that will really mess with you.

NPCs don't actually ever die from it though right?
nvm found the answer for the second question
>You can’t use them in quick succession, though. When you’ve used one, you’ll see a black mark appear over the other. Dealing a certain amount of damage to opponents (both bosses and normal enemies) will remove the mark, letting you use the other one when you need it. If you die while the black mark is there, you won’t be able to resurrect on the spot, without losing some of your XP and cash.

What is the purpose of the BBCs??!?!

Wait so reviving at an idol is what causes the rot? Not reviving yourself?

Yes.

Even Buddha is tired of you being a fucking scrub

Yeah, it's completely retarded and makes no intuitive sense.

How do I unlock the door after drunken man?

Fuck, I've not being reviving to try to stop dragonrot spreading.

Dragonrot is a pointless mechanic because npcs never die and you can easily heal them constantly, dont worry about it too much bros

It's still dumb.

It is, i wish they would have done something with it or not put it in the game at all

Go the other route instead of grappling over to that rear cave entrance. There's a guy at the end of it who gives you a key

Oh. Past the spear man?

Yeah

but that's confusing as fuck? If you in both cases resurrect then there's no reason to name one "death".

It just a penalty for dying too much

Fug. He's kicking my ass at the moment.

Get Mikiri counter. It makes him really simple. Also assassinate his guards before taking him on.

Good Protagonist>Geralt>>>>>>Shit>>>This faggot

>Is there a way to avoid dragonrot completely?
Yes, never fully die

because sometimes you fuck up on a boss and want to try again quickly
if you actually played the game you'd realise that there are enough dragon blood droplets to die one billion times and still keep everyone curee
