I love Elma. The game already had an affection system with the hearts and I wish it could've had ended in a romance with the character of your choosing. I made my Cross a cute tomboy and always had Elma on my team (I mean the game forces her on you half the game anyway, but I would've kept her even if they didn't). Even if there's not as much interaction with characters as a WRPG, I liked to "roleplay" that my Cross and Elma were having conversations while traveling, Elma giving her more tips for battles, a bit of flirting, etc. When I got bored with fighting and exploring sometimes I'd just remove the other characters from my party, keep only Elma, dress her and my Cross in civilian clothes, and go on dates in NLA. Or dress in swimsuits and go to the beach. Or go back to base and imagine them having wild sex.
