It's the awesome music.
This, the music is so fucking good
What the FUCK is a sonic!?
Sonic is a hedgehog with attitude
Send me Back in Time.
Music is phenomenal while you're pinballing around cause of the awful physics
Best song, doesn't take much to Work It Out
livin in the city
It isn't. you just have a pro-sega bias. crash team racing is a deeper game.
>Best song
>Not Diamond in the Sky
The soundtrack is god tier and in a technical level the game is amazing
Colorful
Great art
Great music
Fun
Few circuits though
That one is good too
Any song is best song
Literally every song in the soundtrack is good
BECAUSE WE'RE SUPER SONIC RACING
This
YOU'RE THE ONE THAT MAKES ME FEEL SO HIGH
why is he so fucking scary, are brits just fucking insane?
WE ARE SONIC TEAM WE MAKE GAMES I THINK
Because it has great gameplay, and a surprisingly moving soundtrack. Also the art design is on point. Sega, please do a sequel.
An actual footrace Sonic game
Why is he in a cart now when the series is perfect for this
(No Rivals doesn't count)
To be fair, he was racing in a vehicle long before Sonic R was released, see Sonic Drift 1 and 2
Reminder that the PC version has been fixed to work

The reaction to music is so extreme. It seems people only ever love it or despise it.
I like it myself. It's just fun.
The music. Also the developer who coded it is autistic and really good at what he does.

But Sonic Drift doesn't have S O U L
What was wrong with it? I used to play co-op Sonic R on the PC with my younger brother all the time
and by "co-op" I mean versus, obviously
It’s an old game that just refused to work on modern Windows. This mod fixes it and allows for easy drag and drop mods too.
If you want to take the game seriously, you'll probably hate it because it sounds like Sesame Street. If you just roll with it, it grows on you.
What's to take seriously? It just has five courses and you spend more time exploring them than racing.
The only reason you ever want to win 1st is to keep your Chaos Emeralds.
Soul = bad graphics, flawed gameplay, and subpar audio quality
Living in the City > rest
>He didn’t have a Saturn
Fact.
Does soul equal shitty buzzword that somehow cancels out the fact that it's a shitty game?
>never used again
Idk why but I actually loved this game. The controls were wonky as fuck but the music was so god damn good
If you bought it when it was new and were expecting a lot from it, that is. Once upon a time we didn't have the benefit of looking at it with loving nostalgia. The 5 courses is another reason you might judge it harshly.
He was used in the comic for a spell
>"I came across something in the Sega technical manuals that just doesn't make sense"
Sums up the Saturn in a nutshell.
The music is distilled joy.
Why cant we ever get another on foot sonic racing game, an on foot racing game in today's hardware would be really neat/
ALL I NEED IS YOU
What wasn’t in that comic though
Because then it runs into the same problem R did, which was how the fuck can you balance a racing game where one character is obviously head-and-shoulders above everyone else. Putting them in vehicles evens the playing field and is more plausible, and also allows for more interesting track layouts because you're not limited by what characters are capable of on-foot.
Plus race cars are radical.
Cybershell is that you?
Seriously why the fuck did they drop the vocalist after this game? She was 10/10
>bad graphics
every good racing game has an amazing soundtrack
prove me wrong
It's not. Its fucking shit. Even the music
No seriously, I never understood why people love the soundtrack so much. It's hot fucking garbage
>(you)
BLUE BLUE SKIES
Who's stopping the developers from making everyone as fast as Sonic?
Bad games with AWESOME OST
youtube.com
>low poly
>90’s Sonic
>racing on foot
>god tier OST
>cool unlockable characters like Metal Knuckles
YOU KNOW YOU HAVE TO SURVIVE
Mostly factual, although this game had a really annoying soundtrack (especially because I kept playing "Rave Rush").
I don't about any other version, but the one I had as a kid didn't have the music, you know, the only objectively good thing about the game.
Still loved it.
