Rabi Ribi's good

If you didn't want good games, why did you ask for them?

its okay. have you played fortune summoners? pretty similar.

Did you expect a FPS from a japanese developer or something?

come back when 75% of mods aren't imported MMD character models

>there are actually people who haven’t played lost odyssey and/or think it’s bad
wew

no i expect a good game. if i try to look up autism sims all i find is dating VNs, if i try to look up action games all i get is braindead combo spammers and grinding games. strategy games? forget it lol. where is the non-garbage vidya?

That's because that's all they make over there

Tell us what vidya you enjoy then.
Maybe your own taste is just shit.

Give the Ys series a try
You could start with Chronicles for old school gameplay or Origin/Oath for more modern gameplay

Sam is a fair dude. He wouldn't hurt Cirno.

maybe edf is more your speed

>autism sims
Elona+

>Complains about weeb vns while posting Recettear
Based falseflagging mutt.

already played all the good ones, dead series
not very good compared to other roguelikes, but was mildly interesting
unbelievably bad game

how is recettear a vn

>taste this diverse
nice
I dunno if you will like them but have some recs
>One Way Heroics
>Half Minute Hero
>Maybe Etrian Oddysey

B-but it has anime characters talking!

The former 2 were decent, one way heroics especially, nothing that really hits it out of the ballpark like I'm looking for though. EO was terrible, even got suckered into playing through multiple games at Yea Forums's insistence that 'this' one was actually the really good one. They are all really terrible. I feel like they could be passable if the map design wasn't so dang bad, but it really is some of the worst I have ever seen.

Rabi Ribi is Taiwanese

I'm not the biggest fan of EO either but since you liked Grimrock it was worth a shot
Try
>Elite Beat Agents
>Trauma Center
>Chibi Robo
>Okami
>Ghost Trick maybe but it's more for the plot than the gameplay
>not a japense game but try Deadbolt
>maybe Layton for something similar to puzzle agent

Team Ladybug games are pretty fun:

Pretty sure you can find the SMT and Konosuba game they made for free somewhere.

What's wrong with it

I could probably write a big old text wall about all the problems with it, but my lunch break is just about up so I'll just sum it up briefly. There is a lot of uninspired hallway and blocky room spam, and the puzzles are pretty boring and lacking creativity. I really get the sense that they were just trying to meet a quota for how long the game needs to last by extending the amount of time it takes to 100% a map as much as reasonably possible. Even games like Might and Magic where the maps are so huge you are basically combing the map back and forth in a lawnmower pattern are more interesting because everything is so dang fast, there is no random encounters, and the dungeons usually have interesting stuff. Maybe try some games like Dungen Master CSB, Uukrul, Lands of Lore, and Wiz 7 if you want to find out where I'm coming from.
