Anyone else find it weird that this asshole needs to be taught to dive in the water?
General Sekiro help thread. Ask away and maybe get an answer.
Anyone else find it weird that this asshole needs to be taught to dive in the water?
At least he know how to swim, unlike me.
Now can someone tell me why the fuck is Sword Saint inside thunder onions body?
From what i have heard, dude gave his life to resurrect his grandfather at full strength to fight you and save Ashina.
what i am forgetting
What's the trick to kill the necromancer in the dungeon
Purple umbrella and Projected Force skill.
>mind control cannonbro when approaching that cunt snake eyes
>he takes half of her bar off and tanks a couple of shots for me before kicking the bucket
You did good, son
Literally how the hell do i get there
I've searched every nook and cranny, even inside these Okami girls' pussy
any tips on dealing with spear niggers?
lel, you have to continue the area, swim the underground passage. You will get there eventually
Mikri and deflect is your friend
Seriously, they literally drops when you counter their heavy attack right after a mikiri
the one with the carp? i already went there, i cleared the whole area actually, defeated the boss and all, but i didnt see any path leading to that section
Mikiri
Don't get intimidated by the fact that they attack after it, just block
>what i am forgetting
The Iron Code
but can I counter any of their attacks or only the ones with the red ideogram?
For Genichiro:
On his first healthbar, he will ALWAYS do a thrust followup after he does his leaping downward slice. This is an easy mikkiri counter for guaranteed pressure.
However as soon as he goes to his second healthbar, he will now only do a sweep attack followup after his jumping downward slice so now you need to double jump off him. It is 100% consistent
Go to the first idol in the area after the great carp. Grapple on top of the building, then jump grapple to some trees to get over there
what is this ds2 shit
Now that I can dive underwater, are there any secrets hidden in previous pools or bodies of water that I can now access?
Yes, every one
>we want the manlet audience
Wanna talk about how the armoured warrior is like 8ft tall?
You can get into the surgeon's room in the dungeon. The other bodies of water have some basic items and treasure karp to find. The big pond behind ashina castle has a mini boss.
Just beat the two apes and I'm just burnt out. I want the game to be done.
How do I double monkey?
Do I need to even double monekey? I went there before I should have and have the idol after it activated
How do i get up there? The other path leads to the demon bell and i cannot find any grapple points.
>execute the second ape
>leaving the animation puts me right in the middle of the terror scream of the first ape
>die
BRAVO FROM
So where did those cuntipedes come from anyway?
>mfw i completely skipped most of Ashina Castle
>mfw i went straight through the abandoned dungeon instead
>mfw when i cleared all the way to the corrupted monk before realising what I did
Someone please tell me how the FUCK to get back into Ashina after you get locked out the second time.
He still does the thrust attack on his second lifebar (trust me I failed enough on him to know this is the case)
double monke is stupid since it's not really geared towards being a fair fight at all. I just ran around and chipped at the weaker ape with jump attacks until it was down, then it's smooth sailing.
Look to the left there is a tree you can grapple to continue. Eventually you will get to that bridge
how the fuck do i beat lone shadow longswordsman?
the area is too fucking small, the camera is too fucking wonky and parrying his attacks does fuck all. i can get a few hits in by using firecracker and running away but then you run in to the real boss; tiny room and shit camera
Are corrupted monk and o'Brien weak to a prosthetic? You do no damage to them without confetti and I only have a couple of those. Alternatively, where can I farm confetti?
Nvm I knew that. Somehow ran past the bridge straight to the demon bell. first time i came here.
you've lost me
is it the idol near the pot dude? is it the idol near the bigass tree? which building?
Use the hole above him to get a drop kill for 1 lifebar, after that it's a pretty standard fight
The guy in the well? You can Mikiri his unblockable kick if that helps. It's just trial and error.
That fight is super duper unforgiving especially with the camera and I eventually had to just learn the moveset. As long as you remember to deflect the super slow flying knee and then double jump his sweep attack after that you can get a lot of posture damage in. You'll eventually be able to recognize his double swipe too. The fast jumping attack still fucks me though
Drop down on him to take 1 life instantly, then learn to deflect his shit. If I remember I think you can mirai counter his kick.
The beast bosses in this game are not fun at all and I've won all of them by hitting them, then running away until they do their animation that gets them a little bit vulnerable.
Just rinse and repeat. Boring.
why did the weather change? I didn't ask for this
Take a look at 46:00
youtube.com
Mikri will only work on thrusts which will have the red moonrune.
For sweeps which also have red moonrune you can jump over them then counter by jumping off their head for posture damage similar to Mikri.
For the monk, you can bait his attack and spam Mortal Draw. For some reason, you can still use it even if you have no tokens left to expend.
Lightningfucker keeps beating my ass. Should I progress in other directions for now and come back stronger?
I'll repost this here if anyone knows about this: I killed the horsy boss and got a barrel for my prostethic arm but I can't upgrade at the sculptor, all he has is three lines of dialog in his menu. Is this a bug? Any fix besides starting over?
git gud
Fucking headless, how kill?
Do you have the materials required to upgrade?
You can farm confetti from those samurai in the blue robes near the ashina castle antechamber idol, but it's kind of a rare drop.
I love how almost every human enemy in this game is some kind of monstrosity with super long limbs and exaggerated facial features. Really gives the game this classic japanese art feel I'm sure they were going for.
You're in the wrong menu
This actually isn't true.
I've mikiri'd the lowest level enemies before when they do a sword thrust attack (their version of holding R1 for Wolf).
I don't know of any bosses that do non-perilous thrust attacks though.
Confetti. Don't try to dodge.
Do you have the axe, firecracker, or flame thrower yet? The barrel allows you to upgrade your prosthetics, but if you havnt found any new ones yet it might not trigger. You can find axe and flame thrower at the Hirata Estate
I don't know, what do I need for it? I have tons of scrap metal and gunpowder in my inventory
What is up with the non DANGER attacks that are impossible to defend on ghost corrupted monk? This game is now just breaking its own rules to remain hard, fucking bullshit
Corrupted monk gets staggered by firecrackers. You can farm confetti off the blue samurai at the top of ashina castle, but the drop rate is garbage. Snap seeds will also deal like 10% of its life per use, until it's down to 50% health. Using that and one confetti should make it incredibly easy, but obviously consumable solutions means fucking up is extra painful.
I think you can always use arts, they're just weaker when you run out. Like DS3.
Can you access the upgrade menu?
Fuck, I already cleared Hirata estate but i missed it, the information selling dude also told me about it. Where exactly is it?
>He still does the thrust attack on his second lifebar (trust me I failed enough on him to know this is the case)
Yeah he does but he will only do his thrust in his neutral postion, I have never seen him do a thrust in second healthbar as a followup/mixup.
It seems kind of intended. Like beast bosses are more likely to be killed with vitality damage since they don't block while human bosses are supposed to be killed with posture damage. At least that's how it seemed to go for me. Kind of sucked though, focusing on vitality damage makes the game feel like souls except you're made of paper.
How in the hell do you upgrade your resurrection nodes? I just finished the game with just the two you start with?
what did he mean by this
Justify this boss fights existence
>hurr durr one shot spam move
>hurr durr perfect deflect fucks your posture up more than his
>hurr durr perfect deflect still gives him positive frames allowing him to move back and removing your counter attack
>hurr durr
Trash design. Not fun at all
He does still do it, but very rarely.
Inside the bonfire where the drunk guy was. Google it.
I have 8k and no vendors to buy from, what can I do?
Across the street from from the chicken coup if you know what i'm talking about.
you're parrying too late noob that guy is fucking easy to kill
I thought those thrusts still showed the icon though. I could be wrong, but I remember seeing it early on and wondering why such a weak looking attack would be unblock able.
But yes, every boss seems to display it consistently.
There's no such attacks
If that guy gives you trouble you are honestly a noob
I didn't bother deflecting. Just dodge to his side and hit him. You can ram a spear charge up his ass every time and he dies incredibly fast.
I really enjoyed it because I've seen a lot of samurai movies and so knew what to do immediately.
tap L1 twice when he reaches for his sword and it shines. It's completely trivial.
This guy basically just fucks his own posture if you time your parries right. I don't think I even really attacked him, I just spammed L1 and he did all of the work for me.
Where do i go after beating Genichiro and finding Isshin's letter?
Emma said something about a watchtower near the castle gate but i cant find it.
If it helps, use the sabimaru after the perfect deflects, it fuck his posture pretty good i think.
Parried him perfect every time because I get the noise and the orange effect, it also puts his posture up. It's just a garbage boss fight
The information guy was talking about something different. The axe and the flame thrower can both be found in areas to the right of the path when you enter the estate. The axe is inside a shrine you have to open and the flame thrower is near a fire.
For the information guy he is talking about a secret path, you have to go to the bridge with the huge enemy in the bamboo area, then jump off to the right and you will find a secret area
I've defeated top-of-castle samurai duel dude and the monkey chase fight at the temple. Where should I be heading next?
Literally just spam the shit out of parry as soon as you see the glean when he goes for the attack. repeat 1 more time and you're halfway there.
The underwater headless in Fountainhead might be the most cancerous thing I encountered in this game. Seriously fuck both of these fights.
There is two, when she does a hard slash up and a hard slash down
>get rekt by butterfly over and over
>always out of healing once phase 2 starts
>shurikens hardly help with anything
What do?
The mystery and confusion of where to go next reminds me of my first DARK SOULS playthrough,
Can you kill headless without items or am i wasting my time? Do perfect deflections not give you terror buildup?
get good
same desu
>dying at that filler trash
git gud or fuck off to kirby you stupid mutt
Those are blockable, but they do a ton of posture damage if you don't deflect, maybe they do damage through block if you get posture broken by them?
How the fuck do I get here?
I'm seeing this from the pagoda building where you unlock monk skills btw
Stay in her face. Parry her little 3 combo and then hit her twice.. Don't worry about dragonrot. The shuriken should only be used right when she is attacking from up on her shuriken's.
>parry
>parry
>parry
>he's dead
stay mad shitter
You dodge to her left and R1. Easiest fight in the game.
window in kuro's library
I felt like a retard after searching every location for a way back inside the castle
underwater headless was easier than ground ones though
So, uh I gave the sakura droplet to shota boy, and then the game told me that i had another revive.
But... I don't see this revive?
I mean, I tried it out, killed myseand I only got 1 revive, not 2....
Is my game bugged?
Go to where you beat the horse guy. Ashina Castle Gate shrine.
Turn around, and walk back across the battlefield. Go up some stairs and into a building on the right. Speak to the NPC.
He wants you to kill some rats.
go back to Ashina Gastle gate (on your way to where the bull was). Kill the first Shooter enemy and leap onto the gate in front of you. Look to your right. See three goblin things. Kill them.
Go back to the NPC. Tell him you've killed the rats.
Now Isshin will appear where you found the letter
What should I have done before I beat Genichiro?
I think I have all the prosthetics except sabimaru (idk what that even is), and I didn't do either part of the dungeon area.
Don't even bother with them unless you have confetti, and yeah I'm pretty sure perfect blocks ignore terror buildup, or at least significantly reduce it.
Boss didnt give me any trouble, he's just dogshit. You're clearly meant to deflect him but instead, you beat him the same way you beat lady butterfly. Spamming dodge attack everytime he tries his huge attack
Just a garbage designed boss, like most of them so far desu. Really disappointed in the bosses so far because so far, they are all trash.
go back to that cliffside fire with the weird name and continue and try to left/up
how the fuck did you get there without going through roberto's tunnel
Perfect deflections do prevent Terror, but none of the Headless hide anything really worth forcing yourself to tackle early on. Come back when you're rolling in Pacifying Powder and Divine Confetti and you can stomp them.
There are five in total, each one gives you a Spiritfall, a re-usable emblem-fueld version of the stat-boost candies
see
He's just another boss that you spam the shit out of like all of them so far. Literal dogshit game my dude. Hopefully they get better because so far, even Dark Souls 2 had more fun bosses
Go to Ashina reservoir (off the side of the bridge where you got the Spear key).
Go to where you unlock the spear arm weapon. Just past the enemy beating a drum is a grapple point that takes you back where you started the game. Jump back into the pit where the game started. Fight some dude. Continue forward.
I tried the stay in her face strategy and she kept doing long ass combos fucking up my posture
Okay what the fuck why is this window the open one now? I swear it was the other one that was opened before.
Thanks anyway
I deflected both of those so you're doing something wrong
you're seething. literallyj ust parry him and he fucks himself
Use the teleport feather thing
Thank you
Is there any way to get more than one Fulminated Mercury before the Owl fight? I've been eyeing the final spear Upgrade for a while but it needs you upgrade the Umbrella which needs 2 Fulminated Mercury.
Did anyone notice that tunnel that links back to the hub from the castle makes literally no sense? This is ds2 lava castle tier discontinuity, and they don't even have the dark souls twisted time excuse.
he's not even a boss you assmad cunt lmao
LITERALLY just parry and he's dead in seconds
You're welcome
Is the only thing you can do to avoid snake eyes grab dodge? I swear I dodged it to the side but she still fucking got me.
Is it just me, or is the game not any fun?
It's not too hard. I've beaten DaS1/2/3 with level 1 runs.
I think it's the lack of exploration and sense of discovery. I'm also not a huge fan of the setting since I think the Sengoku era Japan is one of the most boring locations possible. I really want to like it, but it's just not fun to play so far.
I am consistently able to get to Ginichiro's 3rd phase but then he really fucks me up. What is the best way to deal with his two red attacks?
Also I have 6 gourds now are there any more seeds before Ginichiro? I wouldn't mind more heals
Seething. Just parry that boss and he fucks himself. Just because you're bad at the mechanics and relied on dodging doesn't make it a bad boss and it's going to fuck you over later when you really need to be parrying
drop of the cliff here and a path leads to it
Completed the game 3 times and only have two trophies left to collect (PS4 Casual). Ask me anything and I'll try to help.
>Game is shit, before anyone asks
Yeah it makes absolutely no sense even if you imagine there's an elevator shaft going into the depths of the earth underneath the entire valley.
Sabimaru is at the bottom of the castle. Jump down after the antechamber statue
It's purely for gameplay linking both hubs together, it's not supposed to make sense it's for the purpose of easier gameplay because you can go between hub npcs within seconds.
Are you DSP by chance?
I just stayed super close and aggressive. Punished him over and over with the Axe-Sword two hit. Jumped or dodge away from anything my posture couldn't take and went back on the assault.
I found that he was harder the less aggressive I was. I really only beat him after going crazy and wailing on him.
Any tricks to make Owl easier? The cunt shaves half my HP bar off if I even fuck up once.
You aren't being aggressive enough with her. You need to keep the pressure on and interrupt her combo with 2 r1s at every opportunity. You'll get it eventually user. Not sure if you know about sprinting but it does come in handy. Just hold dodge for her second phase to sprint around when she uses her illusions.
I just pretend the MC needs to walk a good while until he gets there since you notice it teleports you.
Lightning reversal. The game shoves it in your face but maybe you can't read. When he does a lightning attack you want to jump high and get hit by it, then press r1 before hitting the ground. It chunks his hp and stuns him and you don't take damage.
Just jump kick her for large posture damage. Its really easy to dodge
You're objectively wrong on some points to be honest. The game has plenty of exploration and discovery and multiple available paths open very quickly, it's much less linear than DS3 and probably more open than the first half of DS1 at least.
I'm where you're at, so I can't help.
Where was your sixth gourd? Did you do the dungeon yet?
OH, that stealth section. I knew I should've explored there more.
I got there, I want to get to that building with the bell, there was an idol there I didn't activate, so I haven't been there yet
thanks
How do I kill the boar?
The first actual boss fight is piss easy yet the bull is actually hard.
>souls babby can't into simple mechanics
Like clockwork
It's stealth souls with a hint of bloodborne, so I like it. Also the sengoku era is pretty cool imo.
Animals get scared from Firecrackers.
>mash L1 to deflect
>two attacks later and my posture is gone
Great fight, good advice everyone.
>Completed the game 3 times
>Game is shit
Hating a game but finishing it 3 times means you're retarded.
Sure you're not just lying?
don't fuck up
This is actually one of the best designed fights in the game. Its either over for you in 5 seconds, or its over for him in basically the same amount of time. Or you can be a bitch like other people and dodge him but you will take so long there's no reason to avoid getting the perfect parries
3 times in like 3 days too, he's insane.
read Freud
Firecrackers and sprinting around on his ass. Literally on his ass if possible. Jumping also helps cover more distance quicker than dodging.
>>mash L1 to deflect
Has anyone figured out which enemies drop materials and how?
Seems like there are some that always give you 1 or 2 the first time you kill them (e.g. the bell guy with the dogs in Ashina Castle), but I haven't tried farming them.
I managed to get her with only being grabbed once. I always forget about the jump kick desu.
If I don't complete the game and see all endings (Missing one at the moment) then everyone just blathers on about "LOL UR JUST MAD CUZ U NEED TO GIT GUD". I've completed the game more times than 99% of people that are currently playing it and killed every boss (not all on the same save however).
Maybe I'm wrong about it and it does branch out more later on? Even so, and keep in mind that this isn't an 'objective' analysis, but it doesn't feel gratifying in any way to get to a new area, even. Maybe I'm just disheartened with the particular segment I'm in (Centipede boss). I'll keep going through and hope that it gets more entertaining.
Use firecrackers or the flame vent with oil to chip his HP. it makes it easier to break his posture.
I have literally done everything before the fight that can be done besides killing the headless in the outskirts and forest as well as the purple asshole in the hirada estate. Oh and the boss at the bottomless pit. I have been to the Depths, Bottomless pit, Temple, Dungeon.
I will start doing that, thanks.
I am trying to be as aggressive as possible. I don't have the axe-sword two hit though
Boar was piss easy. Just stay close and preferrably not in front. Firecracker gives you some free hits too
Not him, but I'm as far as him. I got the 6th off the merchant that becomes available at the temple after you save his ass at the castle. The memorial mob after the horsefucker also sells one iirc.
You need to time it properly, brainlet
It's not an elevator where you can only go up or down. It's a tunnel with an implied secret passage. It's not literally right next to the 8th floor of a castle you brainlet.
Don't even need to parry lmfao, just side step dodge his bullshit attack and spam him until death. Done
Just beat that Genshowhatever faggot on my 2nd try just now as well.
I guess he isn't a boss either? Game is an absolute joke
Scratch that I do have Fang and Blade. I just haven't used it yet.
I did two Axe-Sword double hits in a row and staggered him twice to finish him off, but I am used to using it in battle already as my go-to posture breaking move.
Late game, you can buy Scrap Iron and Black Gunpowder. Red Ashina Soldiers drop Yellow Gunpowder and Fulminated Mercury. Fountainhead Palace Guards drop Adamantite Shards. Fountainhead Palace Nobles drop Fat Wax and Grave Wax.
Lazulite appears to be limited. One from the Shichimen Warrior in Fountainhead, one from the Giant Carp quest, two from the second Pot Noble (for 6 scales each), and two from somewhere else I can't remember.
Does the merchant that's in the right side of ashina castle in a house sell a gourd seed?
>branch out more later on
Once you get to the Ashina Castle there are 3 entirely different areas you can go to explore. Looks like you too the temple area. For the centipede boss try using one of those items that gives you more posture then try and deflect all of his attacks.
Is there a way to permanently kill zombies?
Pics or didn't happen, faggot.
um..
Damn dude you're so cool
what's the deal with some of the phantom enemies that are spawning in now that I've killed the Guardian Ape? I got a ghost samurai on the bridge after O-Rin and some ghost nightjars near the buddhist temple. some of the buddhists now have blue glows around them.
anybody know what I'm talking about? haven't seen anyone mention it.
why are you so mad, cuz bad?
Yes. Play the story further til you get the mortal blade.
looks like a ps3 game
You need a certain skill to get past this part
When the white flash happens tap parry twice, then attack him once, then repeat the first step. This will take out one bar and then repeat.
Learn to press a buttons twice in quick succession.
puppeteer ninjutsu
You mean the goblin fucker? No.
The memorial mob at the entrance to the depths sells anal beads, not sure about the one after the Demon
Which boss is easier, the one in the castle after the rooftop fucks or butterfly grandma?
Any other easier bosses I can find somewhere else?
not that guy, but i just beat the game yesterday (severence ending) barely using deflection. i saved a clip of my genichiro run where i played it like a bloodborne boss, so here
>spamming dodge
You literally shouldn't be touching the dodge button in this game for things other than overhead attacks or running.
Can you Mikiri counter Madam Butterfly?
That's about your options for big bosses now. You can go to the monk area that has two minibosses but you cannot go past a point until you beat the roof guy.
I found grandma easier.
What is the redeeming factor of Ashina Cross compared to Shadow Thrust?
Got through most of the game relatively easily and at the final boss but Saint Sword is fucking destroying me. Even Demon of Hatred wasn’t that bad. Any pointers?
Two deflects in quick succession is all it takes
You bitched about a boss that takes 4 button presses to kill
How does that make you feel?
Oh right, that guy tucked away, right.
I ought to take notes or something. It's hard only getting to play a few hours a day.
Genichiro doesn't spam unblockable projectiles like Lady Butterfly does, but you still have to be good at deflecting or he'll just crush your guard with his combo.
And no, you're stuck. Lady Butterfly is at the end of her own independent path, and Genichiro is effectively the boss at the end of the first act of the game.
You can but it's not going to help much. You can counter attack the retard after almost every deflect you do then just build his meter like that. Just be ready for his bow and his jump kick and he's fine.
Christ did no one like fought the first purple nigger at the mist raven shrine?
First, I hope you are taking out his first bar of HP by dropping down on him from the hole above. Second, flame vent that son of a bitch. Two blast will ignite him and that will do a lot of damage while giving you an opening to do more damage. Block his sword but don’t try to tank his kicks since they will eat your posture fast.
give rice to the lady and use your brain stupid faggot
Confetti, purple umbrella, jump when he sweep. Rinse repeat. Easily one of the least interesting mini bosses in the game and there is like 5 of them
I found Genichiro easier than Butterfly. He's much more straightforward.
>literal shadow clone jutsu in NG+
>orange clothes
>ninja stars
Really FromSoft?!
Wait, do you even need to kill butterfly to finish the game? I don't remember what she drops.
just parry it bro. he's basically a rhythm game
git gut
I like Shadow Thrust better.
For the 1st phase you can just spam r1 most of the time until he does his jump roll which you deflect then counter his sweep or thrust for posture damage. Phase 1 can easily be done in about a minute. Overall though just learn his moves and how to deflect them, you will do much better trying to destroy his posture than destroy his hp. In particular learn when he does is dangerous attacks so you can counter them for large posture damage
Got him. Damn it feels good to kill him without even using a resurrection. Thank you all for the help
Two questions about Senpou Temple:
1. There is no way to kill the cricket spitter corpse in the first section of the temple is there?
2. Right after the cricket spitter there the two mystery niggas. How the fuck am I supposed to deal with them? Parries do jack shit, too shit to mikiri the dash. What do?
what are the circles on top of the health bar?
Grandma was easier for me. Just use the shuriken when she's airborne
You deflect his bullshit three times and collect his health bar. Do it twice and wow he's dead in 15 sec. Bitch is only there to filter your scrub ass
>hurr durr perfect deflect fucks your posture
looks like someone didn't perfect deflect after all
no worries, good luck on your journey. i know how to deflect but didnt use it much because once i found out that depleting enemy health makes it harder for them to regen posture, the souls playstyle will deliver more chip damage and result in a quicker posture break on most bosses. only boss i had to deflect alot of attacks for was the last two phases of the final boss.
>Got through most of the game relatively easily and at the final boss but Saint Sword is fucking destroying me. Even Demon of Hatred wasn’t that bad. Any pointers?
Genichiro at this point should be pretty easy.
First phase Sword Saint is mostly just training your reactions to his oddly-paced melee combos.
Attempting to interrupt his iai sword draw thing will always have him respond with push and then sweep. Just back off and wait for the flash at the hilt, then deflect both strikes.
His horizontal wind slash can be deflected, but it'll stagger you even if you do it perfectly. Better to wait for the wind to draw in, a beat later, and then dodge forward and hit him in the recovery.
Second phase is a lot harder, but you can dodge his jump-slam and counter to whittle down his health. He also has that thrust that's super telegraphed and can be Mekiri countered.
Third phase just play safe and wait for him to try and lightning you. It's a cheap way to chunk his vitality and it paralyzes him for like four or five extra hits.
Butterfly
Where do I get more snap grass?
Godspeed bro, I took most of today to beat him too and I was fully erect when I finally pulled it off. That boss taught me how to play the game really, up until then I was still being too much of a DS guy.
After that there was another super easy boss for me really soon after, because I already had the checkpoint at the top of the Monk area to warp to. So I went from a +3 to a +5 sword quite quickly and then went back and farmed minibosses I missed.
>1. There is no way to kill the cricket spitter corpse in the first section of the temple is there?
Not yet
>2. Right after the cricket spitter there the two mystery niggas. How the fuck am I supposed to deal with them? Parries do jack shit, too shit to mikiri the dash. What do?
You mean the guys with twin blades that spin? These guys can be pretty hard. if you have air deathblows you can instakill them when they jump into the air, or shurikan them when they are in the air for large posture damage. If all else fails use stealth
Amount of times you can resurrect. After each resurrection there is a time limit before you can do it again though
Just jump or dodge backwards. It's unintuitive but it works every time
Post yfw you hear the CLANK sound
You guys DID beat Genichiro in the intro on your 2nd playthrough, right?
How do I kill the big ass fish?
so does resurecting on the spot instead of on checkpoint increase NPC-cancer or is it just dying at all ?
How the fuck do I make this jump am I just retarded or is there no way to actually follow the smoke signals here.
Not really. Fuck spears in this game.
Easiest way I could figure was bait thrust attacks and counter them but good luck with that.
Sword phase isn't much of a problem though.
You can do this without the ninjutsu by just using crow feathers on the main path twice. easy peasy
Go down not up
Good job user. He's a really fun fight when you get used to the Sekiro playstyle.
You can sneak stab centipede for half his health. Then you just deflect his posture bar to shred. You only need to deflect and jump against him
Only dying affects dragonrot. You can revive all you want with no consequence.
I forgot about that door jesus christ im that low iq i was here for a good 30 minutes
>3 spirit emblems on a ledge just before centipede man
>throw myself off
>nothing there
are you baiting me game
guy that posted genichiro run earlier here.
first phase: just do the same as the last fight. jump on his head when you see any kanji other than thrust, when you see thrust mikiri counter.
second phase: bait him into the holster dash attack he does. from then on, hit twice and kite left and repeat. if you kite left and sidestep, he will miss you for EVERY MOVE. if he hits you then just keep the pressure. if you put distance between yourself and him hes far more dangerous. your healing opportunity will come when he does the really slow overhead wave attack, when he does you have ~5 full seconds to heal. once you learn to kite left this fight will be easy.
third phase: deflect everything and kee at mid-close range. deflecting baits him into mikiri counter 60% of the time. four mikiris and a few blocked hits and youre done if you keep up the pressure.
fourth phase: same as before, just dodge into him or to the side depending on which lightning move he does. rinse and repeat with baiting mikiris.
good luck.
wdf was that cheat parry -> riposte attack that the owl does when u do the hold rb thrust attack on him? it was so cheap and i died from that
that said i raped him the second time through and was like no third form?
It's not a time limit. You need to get a death low before resing again
Its okay i was stuck there too for like 10 minutes
Airborne usage
He is very much the same you just need to be ready for sweep attack and his lightning stuff. Stay close and deflect then hit him once or twice then dwflect etc. Don't get too greedy since his lightning moves and jump attack has super armor
wow seriously
i heard like 5 versions of this mechanic by now
which one is it goddamit
What the fuck are you even supposed to do against demon's ching chong symbol drag attack?
You can't block it, not even with the umbrella, it's too fast to dodge, it doesn't look like mikiri counterable, it's not even a grab attack, it's fucking asspull
How do I deal with the headless movement debuff?
Also ow do I spirit away that monk guy
what is this bullshit
You need Bugfucker, Blessed Blade of the Weebfury to permakill infested enemies
i've played for 30 hours and now this happens, my save wont load so i basically lost my data
i've never been this mad my entire life
i cant even get lord isshin past the 1st stage...
>Headless
>Lady Butterfly
>Horse Man
that's where im at. This game is really starting to feel cheap with it just throwing a bunch of bosses at you that do 60% of your hp in one hit so you either have to heal or just never get hit again.
forgot the pic
>mind control the shinobi before Lone Wolf Vilehand
>he singlehandedly nukes the guy through his entire first healthbar and half of his second
god fucking DAMN
The only way to deal is to deflect. You can still get distance by back-hopping if you need to medicate your terror away, though. Grounded Headless are just rushdown fights, though.
You need the Fan shinobi tool. Divine Apparition I think its called.
Didn't even think of the air deathblows. That's a brilliant idea. I did ultimately just run past them but felt like shit doing it since they were kicking my ass for a good bit. Thanks user
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Easy as fuck boss fight m8
Annoyed that I got baited into torrenting this piece of shit game
Man that bull was some jank shit.
>720p
PC?
Use your cloud save maybe?
You just gotta rush headless down but it takes confetti and pacifying agent, so you should wait until later in the game after you’ve beaten the actual mandatory bosses that need those items.
Spiriting away requires a certain prosthetic that makes you do a weird little windboi dance.
>40 beads
I have 7 necklaces, how many bosses are after the Owl?
Keep your distance and wait for him to go in. Don't sprint and keep your posture low as possible as best as you can. Flame vent can deal good damage and stagger him for 1-2 hits. Umbrella is good against his leap attack. He throws two kunais then you deflect with umbrella and counterattack with it. He doesn't have any unblockables so just do your best to keep your posture low and be ready to block.
>0 heals
not easy then
how do i kill genichiro? on my first try on him i got the first phase done with like 2 gourds left, second seems managable, but according to /vg/ he has a THIRD FUCKING PHASE!! what do?
Killed him on the next attempt I love it when this game makes you feel like Neo at the end of the first matrix.
Either do horse man or butterfly grandma, the headless are more of an endgame thing
Read up
Headless is an optional lategame boss
Lady Butterfly is tough if you aren’t playing by how all the tutorials up to that point have told you, all I can say is try attacking more and seeing what changes
MY NAAAAAAAME is easy as fuck and I know I’m not the only one even in this thread who beat him on the very first try, that’s entirely on you
After the owl theres a bunch of new minibosses all around the castle that give prayer beads. As for main bosses I think theres 3 main ones plus a few minibosses in the new area
git gud. also walk around him to the right between attacks and you can get off vit damage from behind him even if he's guarding.
they don't only come from bosses
many of them are hidden underwater and in hidden areas
If you deflect they can't break your posture. The bar will be full but you won't be on the ground. In other words git gud. Hit him until he deflect then if he uses sword deflect and get a hit in, when he goes for kicks deflect his ass and be ready to click dodge for free posture damage.
Stop making mistakes. If you're not in his face forcing him to block, you should be blocking yourself because he will shoot you, motherfucker. His third phase honestly proves that lightning is a stupid ass element because any lightning using enemy is ten times easier once you figure out how to lightning reversal.
Is there some sort of trick to Owl?
Is killing bosses the only way to upgrade damage?
The answer is no one knows. Unless you're ultra scrublet it doesn't matter. You get like 10 resets per playthrough
is there any other person you can send to anayama the merchant? eavesdropping on the soldiers seems to suggest that they want to defect this is during the invasion
Only other way is getting the carpet mask
im on pc and i dont have cloud saves
im just gonna hope that a mod fix this issue
Yes, but near the end of the game you also get another way.
Are there any good combat skills?
You can assemble the Dancing Dragon Mask that lets you trade skill points for attack buffs. Costs 5k sen and 19 scales.
Yeah i assumed headless was meant to be done way later on considering you need to use consumables to do damage + that movement debuff, seems like a fun fight though
Got butterfly's first phase done in the 3rd try or so, got fucked on the 2nd phase though because i had no heals left, i'll just power through horse man as he isn't that hard, i'm just playing like a retard
Run when he screams and deflect his sword attacks. Bitch reels like a motherfucker when you deflect him giving you 1 or 2 hits
>has 3 forms
THey were just safety heals incase one of his bullshit lightning one shot hits killed me. Boss was a joke, like all of them so far. If this is all the game turns out to be, I would be better off uninstalling.
Bloodborne was way better
I got the hidden ones, like in the senpou temple and shit - that's how I got 7. Thanks, though.
You mean the lone wolf vilehand and shit? Or new other than those?
I liked Nightjar Slash early on. Ichimonji is also useful, since it restores posture and does a fuckton of posture damage to enemies.
It’s more of the same just with two additional moves, one is a very readable mikiri and one is a huge I AM GOING TO SHOOT LIGHTENING NOW SEKIRO BETTER NOT JUMP WHEN I FIRE AND THEN PRESS THE ATTACK BUTTON BACK TO DEAL 30% OF MY HEALTH AND POSTURE HERE I GO!!!!!!
Really stellar dialogue choice from the developers, sounds beautiful in the native japanese
The one where you jump away, maybe but in general I find they aren't worth it.
How the fuck aren't more people yelling about Owl? I haven't had much trouble up to this point in the game but this nigger is testing me with his bullshit.
>tfw no way of tomoe skill tree
i hope there's DLC with some crazy ass shit you can do
you're just bad
>mfw I just savescummed Headless so I didn't waste all my confetti while learning his bullshit
Get fucked.
Wish there were more like Centipede Giraffe and Ashina Elite, just parry test minigames that you either easily clear in a minute or easily die in a minute. They’re so fun and refreshing.
Ok thanks for the help
I fucked Butterfly up with that Sword Spin special move, the L1+R1 one.
Moved to the side, spammed that a few times, parried her a couple times, did more sword spins. When she leaped up, I threw a shuriken at her and she fell down again. Rinse and repeat.
The ghosts also die nicely to the spin move.
>Ichimonji
I didn't know how to properly use this but then I got air combat jutsus and FUCK me man, this shit is versatile
>owl fight
>he does his ninja star, low charge
>you can jump it
>air ichimonji followed by another
>restore my posture entirely, he eats damage, AND posture damage
this shit is GREAT
>bosses reverse your lightning
Thanks for the heads up. You can go kill yourself now.
You're joking right. I beat him on my 2nd try. He was by far the easiest major boss.
The last skill on the Prosthetic tree gives you a flaming sword. I like it on bosses.
The monk kick skills can destroy certain enemies, for the most part they are really situational.
>You mean the lone wolf vilehand and shit? Or new other than those?
Yeah, there are a couple more besides him in the castle area though. Also go back to where you fought the 2 apes and there will be another of that magic dudes who throw balls of terror at you
you mean like how Owl uses Miriki counter?
Praying strikes excorsism is easily my favorite. Most bosses allows you to hit twice then you can just do the 3 hit combo after and deal decent posture damage. They only deflect the last hit of the combo which makes it easy to determine when you have to be defensive. I personally don't like the other monk skills though since they're too slow or just outright miss. Works nicely versus normal footsoldiers as well.
someone needs to upload a lore video soon cus i havent got a fucking clue whats going on in this game
centipedes
dragons
immortality
shuras
what the h*ck
I need confetti for that fucker, right? I still haven't beaten one in the abandoned dungeon and I haven't touched any of the headless. I need a lot of confetti.
He does? I never tried to stab the guy
I've gotten to this point 8 times. literally 1 hit to kill the fucker god dammit what am I doing wrong?
you bet. it was crazy when I first tried it, I just needed that much more distance to hit him and he fucked me. Only time that fight really took me off guard
I would assume Senpou temple with their experiments on immortality, since there are a bunch of monks there with the centipede inside them
literally hold down O and sprint in a ( to his ass whenever he moves
slap his ass and dodge in his ass direction
when he moves sprint to his ass in a ( again
You are getting greedy. Go for 1 to 2 strikes on his ass when you can and deflect his charge is you get stuck on the wrong end of it. It's really just a tedious boss.
Yeah, or if you have air deathblow you can 1 shot them when they are flying. Overall these guys are WAY easier than the headless.
>miniboss harder than every boss in the game so far
O'rin of the Water doesn't fuck around, every other enemy in the games folds to pressure but for her you have to be defensive. Really fucks me up.
Anyone managed to get to the top of big buddha’s head in the depths, near Snake Eyes?
Granny in the Fountainhead temple asked me kill the carp. How do I do it? I tried fighting him underwater but there's no healthbar.
you should uninstall
what should I buy with my shells?
these last 2 bosses are just a slog, 3 health bars is too much
Well?
Guys, I'm at corrupted monk, and have access to sunken valley but havent done it yet. This feels like the solid mid game, how much more do I have to go?
Isshin is such a fucking bullshit boss, how the hell is this even possible
>ashina elite, emma, isshin and genichiro all do similar moves like air punh cos they are trained in the ahina combat style
>owl does similar moves to sekiro like the mikiri counter and shuriken throws cos he trained him
anyone else notice this or am i grasping at a straw?
Do I even want to know what these monkeys are doing. Who even gave a gun to a monkey?
Yeah go down the path to the next area but look left and there will be another passage, in that passage look up to the left again and there will be a place you can grapple to get up there.
I like how even if you perfectly parry the Iaodo guy you still take chip damage
I threw on some divine confetti but she is just invulnerable when she wants to be. You can get a free backstab in on her though if you throw a ceramic plate at her before talking to her.
What do I do here? This is after grappling in the kite in senpou temple
I tried jumping already.
pick anything
you dont actually have a choice in this dialogue
>they fly
>you can use deathblow
holy fuck, really? wow
It's a meme choice. You can't disobey the iron code
I've been trying to deflect every hit and been getting fucked by chip damage, I guess I never really thought about just running away.
You have to complete the Carp merchants quest. By enough of his shit and it will progress.
Nothing, if you killed the snake already.
go to the idol before the giant ape and jump down into the swamp and into the cave
after youre done in there come back to this plank and something good will happen
literally just parry her all the time if you have problems with that end boss gonna be fun for you.
I heard you can get a sneak attack on her, but havent been able to. My plan is to run past her to get the "dont ignore me", then dive off the bridge to deaggro her. I dont know if it will work
Talking about Iron Keep 2.0?
drive.google.com
Made this for my buddies to demonstrate.
Love the game, but I'm hoping they justify this with some magic explanation, because it disappoints me immeasurably otherwise.
treat it more like a bloodborne boss is my advice, dont worry about parry so much as just running behind him and dodging when he turns
I like to imagine there is a huge slide connecting the two.
>hurr durr perfect deflect fucks your posture up more than his
This is proof that your deflects are not perfect. You take no posture damage from perfect ones.
I kept him in the corner where he spawned so it was a shorter distance on each turn whenever he charged. Then I got him to 50% HP and he spazzed out and died.
Any tips for the monks with the double staves and hay/hats? Deflections seem to not do much to their posture. I picked up anti-air deathblow, but it seems hard to pull off.
It is implied you go through a tunnel you autistic fuck
Its the 1600s in bumblefuck Japan, and twenty years ago Isshin Ashina conquered the territory that would become Ashina. This is old Bumblefuck, and long ago a dragon came from the West to live here, and its essence has seeped into the ground. One of the results is the Dragon's Lineage, which rests in Kuro, and makes him immortal. The Ashina clan wants to try and use it, and Kuro wants to die for real, because he's seen how the quest for immortality corrupts everyone.
Case A: Genichirou, Isshin's grandson, who kidnaps him.
Case B: Owl, Wolf's adoptive father, whose ambition outweighs the desires of his lord.
Case C: The monks of the nearby temple, who have delved into forbidden and cruel experiments in an attempt to replicate the Dragon's Lineage.
So as Kuro's loyal subordinate, you (possibly) go and fuck up a bunch of assholes who are in your way of protecting that smile, up to and including the dragon himself, because you need his tears to break the power of his lineage.
She takes almost no posture damage and hits for 75% of my hp per swing, and if I slightly mistime one of her swings during her combo, the 2nd last hit posture breaks me and gets me 1shot by her finisher, so it's pretty hard. Might just have too few anal beads and boss buffs.
I read that as
>takes half of her bra off
>She takes almost no posture damage
you are not doing it right if thats the case.
Kill yourself you fucking faggot. The fight is practically impossible on Piss4 because there’s a significant input delay
>Fuck yes, cute women playing guitar
>Talk to her
>She spergs out when I say something wrong
>Cuts me down
>Fuck you bitch, stealth her, can not do that
>Loaded fire gun bitch with fire infused weapon
>Fuck me up with her spinning teleports and phase shifting
>Try for another one hour
>Phase two, new spinning moves, more shifting
>I will save you for later when I´m more upgraded
>Walk past her
>REEEEEEEE YOU IGNORE ME?!
>Cuts me down from behind
Fucking how do I deal with this cunt? I tried to cheese her by running and cutting, but she decides to teleport twice sometimes which catches up with my run. This makes no sense, she is harder than Gen Thundercock.
List all the secret doors youve found Im trying to make aure I got everything before I beat the game
Kek´d
stealth
>playing on console
retard
fun fact: if you jump on top of O-Rin's head, you can stealth attack her after she puts the sword away
obv won't work mid-fight but stealth attack is possible
Is there something obvious I'm missing here or do I just have to deal with sword saint's 50/50 mixups?
meant to quote you here
there are secret doors? like illusory walls?
yoink
I found them to be the hardest non boss/miniboss enemy in the game. Try shurikans whenever they jump. In general these guys are really hard and seem to take a while to kill. You can try using oil and fire to chip his health away so his posture regens slower
There is one in the building right before you fight lady butterfly, hug a wall with the painting on it.
So what's your favorite areas in the game and does the variety get better? So far it's getting pretty bland for me until I got to the temple
Hopefully it continues to improve
Actually the karp dude sells you one of her skills
i want to cheese this miniboss purely because it forced me on the defensive and that shit isn't fun
what am I missing
Should I be fighting the Asina leader or should I just dick around and explore the area more? His three phase bossfight fucks me up Everytime.
I just spam the fuck outta them with the katana and thrusts relentlessly to break their guard and it does the job. I have read here that the spear apparently fucks them up too.
In his first phase, he should only be sweeping if you try and interrupt his two-hit sword draw. He has a really slow telegraphed thrust, too.
In his second phase, he only has a thrust, as far as I remember.
poison blade
Press your body against certain walls and they spin around.
Sometimes there's beads inside
sabimaru
Deflect. In any uncertain situation you deflect. Is the boss attacking you too fast? Deflect fast. Is the boss using too strong attacks? Deflect stronger. This is deflect: the game. Either you learn to deflect and play it like you're supposed to or you cheese the fuck out of it and still can't kill the last boss because, surprise, you need to deflect his attacks.
The "Black Scroll" found near Isshin's house say: There are two mortal blades, the one Genichiro got is called Open Gate because it has the ability to open a portal to the underword.
Basically he revives Isshin to woop yo ass
I loved this fight. I knew he would do nippon Iai drawing faggotry when I saw him sitting there all calm. I twice, but figured he does two slashes and killed his ass with perfect parries. Arena was cool as well.
sabimaru
how does an underground tunnel come out of a fucking roof?
Cross that bridge first and then come back, huehue-dono.
can we all just take a minute and appreciate the best little thing in the game?
day/night cycle
Sabimaru and the Mist Feathers. Sabimaru is in a room at the bottom of Ashina castle. Just jump off the ledge after the blue robed guy.
Mist feathers are in Hirata in a side area off of the bridge before you encounter Owl.
t's implied that some time passes between each door, that's why there is a fade out.
fuck me, do they look any different than regular walls?
it does and the time of day changes too
>Feather prosthetic.
You find it in Hirata Estate, near the end of the bamboo area there will be a bridge with one of those large enemies on it. jump off the bridge to the right and swim to find a secret path.
>The short sword (cant remember name)
Go to the Upper Tower Antechamber in the castle then jump way down to the bottom
Mibu Temple easily. Second place goes to the deep valley with Bodhisattva statues.
Sekiro has really good visual design of levels in general. Ni-Oh may completely outclass it in combat mechanics, but I wish it had even half the quality of its levels.
Oh, shit - so Isshin literally comes back from the underworld.
>a tunnel
>from a 10+ story castle into the side of a mountain miles away in 5 seconds
There isn't even a loading screen to imply a passage of time.
They were just chillin after a hot bath, probably eating bananas and shit.
Thanks guys.
would be nicer if it was dynamic though
Yesterday, I said I got stuck at Ashina temple immediately after killing the fire bull boss (I ran away from the trash mob that jumps you immediately after, teleported away, and forgot to rest at the idol that's right after the boss). I couldn't get passed the now-closed door.
If anyone else has this issue, I've found out how to bypass the glitch: go to the shut door, wall-jump off of it, and immediately hold the stick back toward the door. You'll want to try and reach the top of the door (I was right in the middle, I don't know if that matters). The test saying ASHINA CASTLE showed up, even though I hadn't actually gotten in. Now the idol was available for me to teleport to, getting on the other side of the door.
FUCK YOU FROM, FIX YOUR BUGGY PIECE OF SHIT
He certainly comes out of something, but it's not exactly underworld. You'll have too see for yourself how he's revived.
howd u do that
Hard to cheese her since she can cover the entire battlefield if she wants with her ghost trick. She is easy when you understand that you can jump her head when she grabs and get free attacks with a side dodge from her two hits.
seems that it would have been easy to just make a fucking tunnel you could walk through. maybe even put a miniboss in there, but noooo...
Only sometimes.
The shortcut one after you get to Kuro in the castle is the most obvious (it has like a human outline on it) but sometimes there's ones that even have stuff in front of them you need to break first so they really look out of the way.
I'm sorry.
But Ishin is friendly with you for the entire game. I shared quality drinks with this guy. Then he dies and suddenly wants to kill me when he is revived.
That's literally all Nioh had though, combat. No verticality, no interesting lore/story, non existent world design, rehashed levels (and not done the right way) that you literally repeated mutliple times. Rehashed bosses (literally). It was a joke.
The combat was fun but by the end, I just spammed the rush attack with the dual katanas to quickly complete the game due to how bored I had gotten
i have yet to successfully jump on her head. I always manage to jump next to her
how does the game run compared with ds3 on pc? I remember that being pretty demanding but got it to run at 60 on a 970 and an i5. I like the level design and the soundtrack sounds like something from 13 assassins.
Go past the dark house after the spawn after the giant fish segment.
Then once you exit the house tuwards the next spawn trun right along the outside of the house folow it and grapple.
I remember you yesterday bro, glad you got it sorted.
there's one in Ashina castle where you blue samurai dudes are lounging in the corner.
protip
throw a ceramic at her face, it nulls her NPC behavior and she can be backstabbed
1 bar away is git gud time, but more manageable
Also you have Sakuza down at Mibu, right Yea Forums? O'Rin is his waifu and the final node of his questline
Is there any way to increase Unseen Aid above 30%?
No problem. It's why i started these threads in the first place. Fuck that nigger.
FUCK GREAT SHINOBI OWL HOW DO I BEAT THIS GUY
Just deflect and jump her perilous attack. I found her second phase to be identical to the first, it won't take long once you know her limited move-set.
He's always wanted immortality. That's literally why he conquered Ashina in the first place. He devoted his whole life to mastering the sword, so he probably got a little salty when he got old and frail. His grandson and the Divine Heir were simply convenient routes back to what he was good at.
based
gitgud kid. Game's easy.
btw before you ask I have lots of sex and I'm a cool guy because my mom says so.
Don't @ me.
>Press forward B to mikiri
>End up sidestepping instead
I mean I don't get hit so whatever but anyone else having this issue?
horse man is the only required one of those. Also he's easy as fuck. Just deflect his shit.
>using a consumable to cheese instead of jumping on her stupid hat for the stealth kill
also i led sakuza to the doctor. no regrets
what, really? what it do?
unless you can perfect parry his shit, avoid defending cause he'll eat you posture.
Your timing might be off. Dont press it as soon as the danger symbol shows up, wait until they actually thrust at you.
git gud time
learn his patterns, where you can get a stab and WHERE you get MUKIRI'D for doing so
be aggressive and don't let up
parry every strike, when he's not doing anything R1 spam until his blocks glow red signaling his counterattack
It's the sort of boss that fucks you up more the more you play passively
just b
>think those purple ninjas are hard
>now the game is throwing 3 at a time at me
what the FUCK is this shit it's not even balanced
IT WASN'T WORTH IT.
Its the five-hit jumping combo that Genichirou likes to do.
It's neutral B, directional inputs fuck up the counter pretty often
I'm gonna be stuck on this cunt for a while, right? His movement is so fucking chaotic and unpredictable, just give me back Genichiro
Sekiro is even more boring gameplay-wise. With every boss all you do is trade deflects until the posture is filled. Special abilities are completely useless, tools and ninjutsus are only useful against trash, which is too easy to begin with, and stealth utterly laughable, barely better than MGS games.
>tfw I just released a huge explosion with my flame arm and killed them all
I have divine confetti active, so why doesnt the slow gas of the Headless disappear when I spam hits on it? He always teleports and literally fists my ass and I cant jump nor dodge because of the gas. Is it a damage thing or a number of hits thing?
rip their lovechild then
I cannot fathom why people would want to send NPCs with their own questlines to a completely unrelated and shady place
canon ones are sakuza x orin, kotaro white fan at illusion hall, red carp eyes to doctor but idk the big strong guy for merchant bandit
she's one of those bosses that will kill herself by attacking so much that you just have to deflect till her posture breaks
makes the fight pretty boring desu
Play him like a Souls boss. He's a lot easier when you do that
I don't even know why the game closes that door, unless it getting closed is the glitch itself.
Second phase is actually piss easy cause his only distance closer leaves him massively vulnerable
Do I have to wait until I get some plot weapon before I can take on demon enemies (headless fuck which I already forgot where I saw and some warrior summoning spirits) or does confetti confer a damage boost against them?
yashakiri candy
confetti
pacifying
there
if you really suck ass try snap seeding the gas
how do I farm like 5000 gold
>go back to castle roof
>kill single purple ninja without hiccups, feel like a big strong man
>5 more of them just around the corner
At least they give tons of xp but holy shit it's ridiculous
Use jump to dodge, instead of the dash button.
It literally resets the arena when you beat the boss once you rest. It's so fucking stupid.
The game runs pretty damn well. If you could run DS3, I'm pretty sure you can run this game too. Even if you can't quite get to 60fps, there are plenty of graphical options you can tweak.
Divine confetti her ass
1st phase is souls boss
2nd phase is PARRY
2 parry in: he's forced to overhead slash, which when parried makes him immobile for a good 4-5 slashes
the latter
Eat the moneyball and either farm the villagers of mibu village or stealth hunt entire Fountainhead temple.
canon a shit, i sent fatty to merchant too
wax lumps are precious and I don't want to grind them out by killing the old hags in ashina castle
If you're at the end game, go to Ashina Outskirts - Stairway (where you fought the Ogre ages ago). Turn around, grapple up and kill the sniper. Drop down, kill the gunner on the ground. Run forward, assassinating dudes as you go. Then clear out the fort (where there was a General, previously) and finish with the three dudes attacking the bridge.
Then travel back using the Underbridge Shrine statue and repeat. Its worth like 1600 gold and goes quickly, and if you're good its 90% stealth deathblows.
Shit, I did the same, I spoke with the priest/monk in the temple and he gave me a chapter regarding infestation but I haven't fought Genichiro yet.
Fuck, it feels like the game has so many sidequests open I'm too scared to progress in one path out of fear I'll miss out on something. I'm still deliberating whether to tell the huge dude about the Abandoned Dungeon or if I should kill the person who gave me that quest.
There's a fucking fade to black you retard
ez
fountainhead palace- waterstage idol
pop a mibu wealth
backstab the nobles that gives you enfeeble status
learn the layout (this is important, 1 enfeeble and rip gold)
1 noble gives 160 gold
there's exactly 11 there
and the harder samurai ayys gives 150 too, exactly 6 there
Get fucked, cunt
I have been sprinting around him like a madman to get hits in when he recovers and I can get his first healthbar down pretty consistently but I always fuck up one dodge in the second phase and get stomped. Firecrackers help but not that much. Does poison work on him?
He was strongly against using the divine blood, though. Emma tells you as much after Genichiro boss. Isshin didn't want immortality. He only decided to destroy you to honor his grandson's dying wish.
>wax lumps
>mfw i have 60 off farming ayylmaos at fountainhead temple
It's literally their common drops, grave wax i have like 30 even
granted this is with demon bell+2 sanpou droprate+, but still
>still no art of the cute shota
>no art of fucking ANYTHING in the game
What the fuck
thanks man
i suppose not, he literally spits poison 2nd phase in
i use shuriken simply for the distance closer skill, going aggressive helps for me
which pattern of his fucks you over?
There's like one gaijin 4koma of the game.
That's about it.
it actually runs better than ds3 for me
I die A LOT and always resurrect to run and reset on an idol and I haven't had anyone cough yet. When I die, resurrect then die again without resting at an idol, people get sick.
100% guaranteed unless the game lets you die like 100 times before anyone gets more sick.
The mask is useless until you get to the last area, and at that area you can get 5k in no time
This, right? The only Sekiro art in existence.
I would suggest pirating it first to test it out, especially in your case. Piratebay has a clean copy up right now.
i haven't made it there yet :( idk where to get the stone or the sakura bullshit. i can't even find the tree.
who is the demon?
if he know you, he most be someone Wolf met before
I keep underestimating the reach on his running swipe and it takes like 60 percent of my health off, I tried sticking close to him but his posture recovers way to fast for that to seem feasible.
So I got to Madame Butterfly and up to the rider general boss in the main path.
I also found the entrance to the spooky temple-cave, which I wanted to explore next, but I’m afraid I don’t have enough divine confetti.
Where can I get my fixture of confetti?, what about Waking Seeds?, I found a bunch in the snake valley, but not much else.
Are there any other paths open to me that I can explore?, I don’t feel like taking on a boss just yet.
Regarding kites, there is one in the Temple and I presume I have to use it somehow to be able to get to the other side of the mountain where the old lady is telling me a 'fruit' is waiting. Is it activated by some plot item or am I missing something?
Is the yen throwing prosthetic any good?
The sculptor, haven't even played the game and I know this.
Wolf x kuro douijin when?
its you AKA the sculptor
bravo miyazaki
he has a prosthetic(fire) arm and appears after the Sculptor disappears from firelink
Puppet the little dude.
don't worry about the tree, can't miss it since it's a story sequence
stone explore the fuck out of abandoned dungeon-depths
peeps did say it's beneath ashina after all
Give rice to that old lady.
read the memory he drops
it tells you plainly
The horse dude is who you should go for. The game opens up after him and the bull. until then you do not have many options.
does the game explains why he's like that?
I'm currently stuck on both the last boss and this guy, so I don't know if there are some explanations later.
Where is the sakura tree Emma talks about? I haven't found the tree or the flowers so far. Just got to the part were everything is swarming with the purple fuckers
Fuck fuck fuck, now I have to find the headless fuck again. I still haven't found a merchant who sells those which sucks, I have like 4 on me and two mini bosses to kill.
Are you here stealing stuff for a video or what?
>implying I was able to kill him
common misconception
yea his running swipe is a bitch
his shuriken 2x into leaping is a huge window for stab though
take a bit of his health first then stay close
im at the ghost monk, am i in the right place?
as far as i'm aware, no
though it's probably tied to an ending i reckon
What's the story/lore behind these centipedes?
It's just a plot point. There's not really a tree or anything.
Do NPC's that catch crotchrot actually die at some point, or can you just leave them afflicted? Because I'm at a boss thats kicked my dick in like 5 times now and now my dudes are starting to catch the ol' dickrot.
Do you really think he would namefag if he was here?
I only have glowing rice but I know I need some from the Divine child, which I haven't found yet. I cleared the temple all the way to an old priest in front of the statue and that seems like the end of the way, there's a tunnel leading to an area containing the monk scroll but nothing else. Am I right?
do you want the quick rundown?
the headless only drop reusable consumables that mimic the buddist candy effects except they cost spirit emblems and you can buy infinite amounts of confetti for 300 sen each after you beat true corrupted monk
as far as I know, they do not die.
the rot does halts there side-quests though
I got the eyes but I already did o'rin and spirited the big guy away. Any way to still give them to the surgeon?
When do you get the ability to dive?
there's this bit of DEEPEST LORE
How do you do it in the air? I've got the "can use skills in the air" skill, but it doesn't come out until I hit the ground. What am I doing wrong?
The old lady at ashina castle gate says at that point
"the hatred that flames the war must collect at one point" or whatever
literally behind the door he's guarding, keep at it
drink magic water and get infected by immortal centipedes.
nothing hard to grasp
When am I supposed to do the undead spooky poison area with Corrupted Monk? Went here after the temple and it's absolutely fucking my asshole raw, am I supposed to do some other area first?
There's some stuff on twitter.
So was I supposed to get past this by using the mist raven and just teleporting through it when it attacked?
Yo fuck this Owl fight
Whats the highest Vitality you can reach 17-18?
I'm not sure if this is story-based or affected by dragonrot, but when I entered the very last stage of the game with some dragonrots active, one NPC died and the lady said it was because of the disease.
You need to fight the lighting man my dude, after that you can continue at the temple
the sunken valley is a bit easier, at least the area itself, the boss of SV is much harder than the monk.
that's one way, i did that
the proper one would be to puppeteer the monki below, 'make him dance' and snek is distracted for a moment
>rothschilds bow to centipedes
Did you ring the little bell on the table in front of the Buddha?
Yes. Although I've heard you can also distract it by puppeteering the scared monkey nearby.
After the big blue monk
you are supposed to puppeteer the monkey that's on the left.
I think you can also do this area after the snek has been killed.
Figures, I'm just at him and I quit because I wanted to talk to Emma about the letter and I was afraid fighting Genchiro would break that quest.
Cheers.
Monk seems impossible, even the shadow apparition guy with 1 bar. I barely do posture to him and I can't stay in melee at all because he absolutely nukes my bar even if I time my parries
Yes or use puppeteer skill on the scared monkey cowering on the cliff and he will dance and distract the snake
Lads how do I beat the guy that appears in the headless ape room in depths?
I don't even know how to begin the fight without insta-terror dying
im at 18 with 1 or 2 prayer beads so at least 19
I cee.
Thanks anomn, do ypu know any way of getting divine confetti though?

Should I ring the bell?
I don't even have that prosthetic yet. Weird. Also FUCK the wall cunts.
I killed the first snek, that one is a different snek and doesn't go away
>DO NOT RING
>should I do it guise
yes.
To fight the monk it's better to stay far away until you got him to like 3/8 of his hp. Then you move in and try to break his posture
gonna go fact check this
Not until much later in the game. Skip Headless and any other enemy like him until you beat corrupted monk.
no, its basically the ring from dark souls that makes everything do more damage to you for no reason. If you do ring it though its easily reversible
Just started NG+, and I have a few questions:
- There's more enemies, right? I don't remember the starting locations enough to be sure, but it seems like there are some enemies there that weren't there before, but maybe I'm just hallucinating
- What does Kuro's Charm thing do, exactly? I get that it makes it 'harder', but without it is NG+ just like New Game? I'm guessing NG+ is always harder, the amulet just makes it even more harder... but does it do anything else? Might be early for that question, I don't think a lot of people have completed the game in NG+ yet
it increases item drops tardo
I though there was only one snek alive.
>hp
That sounds like it'll take for fucking ever, ah fuck.
Do you remember Champions covenant in DaS2? That's essentially the function of the bell. You can also undo it at any moment though.
I dropped on the head of the first one and there was definitely still a big snek in the cave
explore more lmao
memory nigga
read mid to lategame, ups drop rates like you wouldn't believe
I've read here that you can deal more dmg with confetti. but I didn't try it.
From what I've heard the charm makes it so you cannot rezz anymore if you give it to him.
How do you even get this far without encountering that same miniboss in the Abandoned Dungeon? But use Confetti and Pacifying Agents
If you give away Kuro's Charm and "choose the path of greater hardships", you take chip damage on block. Its not insignificant chip damage, either. Its like 50%, like with the Ashina elite minibosses.
Firecrackers and snap seeds both work well on him, helped me a lot. Also don't get greedy, stay out of reach and get hits in when he recovers after combos or leaps
Ya think I can make it through the cave just with stealth and a combination of speed and parkour?
removing or doing something with the charm makes NG+ enemy do chip damage to your blocks. deflect is unaffected
git gud item
How long does the effect on the damage and defense buff items last? What about the item/gold drop rate items?
How much harder is the game? Does it make bosses hit like tanks? I know I can reverse it but I don't want to commit to soon. I have 16 vitality and 7 attack
What are the serpent visceras for guys?
Part of the 4th ending.
I did see him, I just saw the swirly shit and thought it was another headless so just noped on by.
Still haven't attempted headless either REEE FUCK TERROR
>How long does the effect on the damage and defense buff items last
not very long, like 3-5mins. they are just for one fight
supposedly
bosses minibosses unaffected
regular mobs now hit as hard as minibosses
caveat is those regular mobs now drops fulminated mercury, adamantite etc
Nah, the guy who originally posted that just thought it was that way because the symbols for resurrection in the HUD only appear once you died
Alright, I noticed that, thought it was just a NG+ thing, thanks
But we don't know if it does anything else? I feel like with From at least there's some additional dialogue or something for keeping it
