Well Sekiro may be a blunder in some senses but at least we can play Bloodborne 2 on the PC now. Was From too ballsy changing up a formula that they KNEW worked and sold well? Sekiro marks the shortest soulsborne game but also lacks the best characteristics of those series (i.e., various armor, various weapons, replay value, multiplayer). What would you have done differently to the game?

It's not a fucking soulsborne game, you retard.

If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck

Good thing it doesn't do any of that, you autist.

They're never going back to Souls, and that's a good thing :)

Even if it wasn’t developed by from everyone would still be calling it a casual souls title because that’s exactly what it is.

Harder than any Souls game.
Scored higher too. Stay mad bro.

Sekiro is fun

>blunder

u fuckin wot m8?

It's not really a Souls game first of all, the story sucks, and I have no real desire to replay it since nothing will be different.
It was pretty and had great sound though.

>Good reviews from review sites

That's the reality

Go outside Yea Forums more lmao

It's not a Soulsborne game, knobhead

>but also lacks the best characteristics of those series (i.e., various armor, various weapons, replay value, multiplayer)
who the fuck thinks this. It was always about the level design and the atmosphere, the shit your pants bosses and the combat.

>Scored higher too

What does this have to do with the game itself? jfc Yea Forumstards are obsessed with their metascores and what some """professional videogame critic""" gave to a game.

because the OP straight up said it was a blunder

I don't care about the score, but it's a good measure to look at whether or not a game is a "blunder" as was stated. If the game is a success with critics, players and sells well, where is the fucking blunder?

Took me 27 hours to beat and I didnt do any requests. You guys are autistic if you think thats too short.

Imagine being this assblasted about a video game not being on pc 5 years after it comes out

I'm 10 hours in and I still haven't got to the guy who cut my arm

Here's a good comparison (and a more widely accepted one)

>Black Panther
>Blunder of a Marvel movie
>Sold well, did well with critics and fans
>Some still hold the idea that it's a blunder

I guess it depends on how you look at the game (whether or not you think it belongs in the soulsborne category). It may have good elements but in its respective category it may be nothing short of a blunder. Just like Black Panther/Captain Marvel is to Marvel movies or Suicide Squad/Justice League is to DC movies.

Oh please, even the prosthetic tools are LITERALLY weapon attacks and spells from the previous games. I genuinely laughed when I went to the dream and got the Bloodborne's Hunter Axe R2 and Dark Souls' Combustion pyromancy tools. They just took their previous games, gutted the fuck out of it and called it a day. Bloodborne would play exactly the same if it had only 10% of the features, took away your gun and let you parry with your Chikage that also only had a third of its moveset.

Yeah, that's some "brand new" experience right there lmao

GRAPPLE HOOK MEAN DIFFERENT GAEM!

Do people really just want a Dark Souls 4 or Bloodborne 2? Dodging/dashing through stuff with i-frames hacking at legs nonstop? You just stat dump Health, Endurance and STR/DEX depending on weapon. You decide to go this way, overlevel the fuck out of the other side of the game and trivialize everything
>just don't kill this bro
>just don't consume boss souls just collect stuff so you can look at it in your inventory
>just don't level up at all past this point

You don't even have to grind to get to a point where you can just tank just enough to roll through the content.

The formula works. Doesn't mean they can't implement new features.

I want another bloodborne-esque experience in the sense that I want FROM to take the formula they perfected so much and keep IMPROVING on it, not just gut the fuck out of it and pretend it's a brand new experience. Bloodborne was a massiva breath of fresh air to the Souls formula and I want them to make it even better. I don't want Dark Souls 4 or Bloodborne 2 for the same reason I didn't ask for Dark Souls 2 and 3: their worlds are one and done and there's no reason to revist them. Bloodborne 2 wouldn't even have the same charm as the first one with the twist already being laid bare like that.

Demon's Souls was fucking insane for its time. It literally invented a whole new concept of multiplayer with how completely seamless it was and the fact you could actually fuck up with someone else's game and/or grab people for your apparently single player game was fucking insane to me at the time. I want this kind of innovation again and not Sekiro, which feels like something that could have come out on the fucking PS2 and not in a good way.

>BB cucks are still mad

Attached: 1553114569584.jpg (900x1273, 97K)

Also it's not about the difficulty, that is a pretentious as fuck try hard stance to look on things. I want the fucking FUN of exploration and customization back with a side of amazing and interesting lore to boot. The soulsborne games have an outstanding amount of replayability. Sekiro is a one and done game that doesn't have any lasting appeal. People are still playing Dark Souls and Bloodborne to this very day. In fact it's the only game I miss from my ps4 since I sold it. I could easily boot any of them up and get another playthrough with some new whacky build. Sekiro doesn't have that and feels primitive.

Realistically I don't see them being able to add ontop the gameplay systems of Souls/BB that much with what they have. BB didn't feel like that much of a change, especially after revisiting it after DaS3.

BB was the same formula refined with faster, more reactive gameplay. They could make it better by improving on the magic system for example, which was something that was always pretty basic on their games, and making the worlds even larger and more interconnected. Imagine a larger/deeper bloodborne with sekiro's hook that you could use at will instead of only in fixed points. That would already make a world of difference.

>ng
>hard mode
>achievments
the amount of content is fine and it's as replayable as a resident evil or DMC which is at least 60 hours after my first playthrough and that's good enough for me

60 hours is laughable when you can easily boot up dark souls and get 300 quality hours out of it without feeling burned out.

You should love Sekiro if you like exploration since it's more open than Bloodborne ever was
Oh wait, you're a disgusting subhuman who shills Bloodborne because it's on ps4

Why do you lie on the internet?

Not with that absolutely meaningless exploration. I don't find travelling through copypasted places only to find fucking candy appealing.

But I get it, you never played bloodborne and you're one of those salty retards trying to shit on it to rationalize your inability of owning a 200 bucks piece of console, so stay mad.

I replayed DaS right before Sekiro and beat it in 6 hours. I'll probably replay Sekiro down the line also and get as many hours of it. I play to win rather than fuck around so maybe we approach games differently
300 hours to beat das is laughable to be honest

I never said 300 hours to beat.

Yeah, the lack of
>character builds
>weapons
>armor customization or at least alternate costumes
>difficulty that isn't retardedly frustrating
>good music
are what keep this game from being an instant classic. It's still very good but it just feels more like a prototype than Demon's Souls did.

>Exposes his sonygroid nature
I do have a ps4, I bought your precious piece of shit for the luxury of playing TWO games
>Copypasted area
Do sonygroids die if they don't lie about everything?

>exposes his sonygroid nature
Pic related. Get served, son.

>I do have a ps4
Sure you do.

There is absolutely no way they can make the magic/archery better without changing how the movement system works while being locked on/facing enemies which would likely have repercussions on how melee feels. There is a reason magic also tends to be dogshit in most games, either by its usefulness or the way it controls. Plus it would change the entire combat design if you could just range down bosses that are designed for 90% or more of the playerbase to beat in melee. I can't imagine ever seeing bows even being able to be put next to magic in how its used.
> and making the worlds even larger and more interconnected
They could just do that in a Sekiro 2.

> FUN of exploration and customization back with a side of amazing and interesting lore to boot.
They can just do armor in a sequel, no reason they couldn't. Armor likely without stats, unless everything has a Positive and Negative trait. +Distance when dodging -Posture damage taken increased. The exploration in Sekiro definitely allows for more interesting exploration but the exploration ends up stifled when your loot is some balloons and some candies rather than something immediately interesting to look at/try out.

There is nothing they couldn't do in a Sekiro 2 because adding back in leveling up, which is a good change of pace for the way these games play. You are consistently engaged because at no point are you tanking more boss shots than you should be able to, because you went left instead of right at a fork and leveled up a ton in some other area thus trivializing the whole other area.

Its not about difficulty, its about being engaged in the new areas you explore and adapting to situations you find yourself in. If your way overleveled on the content, your not engaged anymore because there is no threat. Your just a moving fortresses of health and wrath that just moves around environments unable to deal with you anymore.

But you're a lobotomized ape who loves chalice dungeons, which unlike Sekiro LITERALLY are copypasted levels which reward you with cups that allow you to play the same copypasted levels but with sand or glowing fungus

>Implying sonygroids don't have computers to shill on
Just admit you only like games because they're exclusive to your company, otherwise you wouldn't be here defending dark souls with guns and aliens

We're trying to shit out some revolutionary kind of innovation in a quick Yea Forums shitposting section and even then we can still think of some stuff they could try. Obviously the professionals could come up with something better in the many years it would take to make the next game.

In any case, just expanding on the world for me would be enough to make my jaw drop. I always wanted FROM to take a try on making a handcrafted open world game without the usual copypasta you see in modern open world shit. I'm sure they could create something outstanding if they really tried, but that is conjecture.
