A great game. I'm looking forward to the day we can get the population sizes of SC4 and the individual communing agents of skylines.

I still like it over skylines since its a better simulator than skylines' sandbox.

I love this game and it's a good way for me to express my autism in a healthy manner. I also love the old architecture and the way I can utilize different forms of public transit in each city

have a look at Brisbane, Australia on google maps for some of the worst road planning in the world

it's not just the central business district that runs around a river and over a fuckton of hills that grew naturally without future planning
it's that the 5 bridges over the river from the north side all terminate into the same road on the south side that cant handle the congestion, and two of them were build recently, and suburbia mirrors this lack of foresight

10000 times better than Cities Skylines.

I want to play it again every time I see it because it's one of the best city simulators ever, but then I remember how much of a pain maintaining the region gets, because you have to constantly switch between cities to maintain neighbour deals and influence growth. So I usually just play SimCity 3000 instead.

Nah, Cities is better now. It has actually managed to make a non grid city builder look good. The amount of mods is great as well.

I cant make profitable "city" other than agricultural based one

I wish I could get into SimCity 4 but I just have no creativity, and as far as actual video games go there is no challenge to it, once you get the winning formula down every city plays out the exact same.

Dumbass. You're meant to try different styles and designs. Build farming cities, build heavy pollution cities, build extremely dense cities, etc.
The challenge is in not following a formula and instead trying to make a project work.

Maybe look up some styles and designs and try to mimic them, but with changes. Challenge yourself to building a city with no healthcare or no police coverage. Rather than creative designs, instead put crazy restrictions on yourself.

Really want to get back into this but the amount of modding I'd have to do keeps me procrastinating.

decided to start playing it again since about a decade, installed NAM and its cool but i want more and dont know where to start
i saw some nice buildings but i had to run about 6 different executables due to dependencies just to install one house and i dont even know if it worked
