I play the same handful of games all day every day for like the last half a decade
I buy like 2 new games a year, even if that, cause barely anything new interests me anymore, and I never buy at full price
Haven't bought a game in my life, probably why i'm 25, debt free, living in a paid off home and am independently wealthy.
>excellent with money
>$615 on donations a month
What?
>donations
>615$
What?
$615 buys you a lot of toys.
WHAT IS THIS 25-YEAR OLD DOING WITH THE OTHER 60% OF HIS INCOME? US TAX RATES ARE NOT THAT HIGH
I mean, you can freely donate within a certain limit cause of tax deductions.
Sekiro is the first 60 dollar game I bought in years. Spend most of my time playing older games via emulation
Not spending it
This pretty much.I just don't buy new games. 99% of them go on sale after a month for a deep discount, or end up being shit and I don't want them anyway. Like sekiro. Not that it's shit, but I wanted it so badly in the pre-release, and now that it's out, it all washed away, and I have no desire to buy it anymore.
Not spending it?
That's not how it works.
>100k a year
>rent
>$825
How delusional are these people
fakku subscriptions
what illegal is he paying $30 a month to clean his house? does he live in a matchbox?
Do they really brainwash people that read this into thinking donation is "excellent"?
>donations 615$
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
It's called roommates.
Live single
patreon and twitch subs
This. It's funny to see Yea Forums struggle with money because they waste money on games.
>house cleaner 30$
>rent 825$
it just doesn't add up.
I pirate games on the rare occasion I play games, if I couldn't I'd only buy during sales
I've bought maybe 3 games in the last 2 years
>$615 donations
>$130 transportation per month
what is out of touch with reality
>Not donating $615 a month to underprivileged black youths
Disgusting
I get some money by making imaginary budged charts for the CNBC.
I just have a dog though.
California has an abundance of illegal slave labor and high rent

Fuck Steam's censorship and fuck chinks.
How do I get attention on the internet without claiming illness tho
>make maybe 18-20k a year working full time
>tfw people born into daddy's money who have never broke a sweat in their lives are giving out "financial advice" to someone who is a half their age and makes 1/100th as much

Well fuck you too nbc
>just choose to not have a broken arm anymore. lots of people who have it worse than you don't have broken arms.
Just so you all know, that infographic is part of an article, and the rest of the article explains that guy's financial situation.
Basically
>He lives in San Fransisco with four other guys who all share rent
>Half of his income comes from his parents
>He graduated with a telecoms degree and is doing an internship
>donations
Rich people like this are the first to go on the guillotine
>615$ for donations
>pirated games all my life
>started working in IT with well paying jobs
>pay now for all games that i want
Don't really care much for the money, and don't want the hassle of downloading games with broken cracks that don't have multiplayer.
What type of home can 825$/month you get in the states?
Here in pizzaland a friend of mine pays 250€ circa and is living in a studio flat.

Otherwise known as money laundering to claim tax benefits by donating to fake charities.
A cuckshed.
Even here in germany ~730€ gets you nothing more than an appartment in a commie block or a cuckshed shared with several bugmen unless you live in the middle of nowhere with no jobs available within a range of 50km.

>I don't know why you're being so selfish, it's just $500, and we're already so generous to give it to you. Can't you just, he-he, pay it forward?
>Just make sure that when you donate your $600+ a month, you donate to reputable charities, like the SPLC, Kars 4 Kids, or any charities supported by your favorite Marvel™ brand actresses and actors!
No he lives in boston, did you just make this up???
>tfw this picture feels even more stupid and insipid when you are depressed and have none of these things
Who is the stupid faggot who thought that this picture trivializing mental illness while also assuming that people with mental illness would have their lives that well together was even remotely a good idea?
renting is the such a jewish trick people who have money just get more money and if you dont want to give them that money you might as well freeze to death
Are you middle class Yea Forums?
25 year old twitch zoomers everyone
attention seekers and social media whores
It's hip to say you're depressed, have anxiety and they're the most vocal about it
FUCK WHITE PEOPLE
>a 25-year-old
I don't understand what the relevancy of this data is
So literally ONE person lives like this and it works so everybody should live like this? and what difference does it make that they're 25?
Seems extremely stupid
If this was an average based on everyone who makes 100k a year it would make a little more sense as actionable advice but seriously who cares what one moderately successful person's budget is

doesn't it have to be a certain kind of organization for it to count towards tax benefits? you can't just donate to your friend the streamer?
>hipsters made a serious illness like depression or anxiety into something to brag about
Don't they realize no sane man should joke about those mental status or have they never talked to someone with those problems?
I am a class above bogan, whatever that is. I don't want for anything in terms of general living, but I am poor otherwise.
Not that I mind, since I don't want to go out period.
...you don't pay for water/electricity/gas?

how? I pay 5 every month for 55 Gb of internet and unlimited call time. Or I could pay 7 for 30ish gb of internet, unlimited texts and calls.
i put in utilities
I am forever salty about how unfair things are in the modern day.
My grandad managed to buy a large family home while working as a butcher's apprentice after leaving school at 14 and supporting his non-working wife and children.
He was earning the equivalent of minimum wage back then, it was a shit job that he got going door to door putting in applications but EVEN WITH THAT SHITTY INCOME HE WAS ABLE TO SUPPORT AN ENTIRE FAMILY AND BUY A FUCKING HOUSE!
Nowadays you have to earn well above minimum wage while supporting no one and preferably even working with someone else to save up if you want to buy a house.
Seriously, what the fuck happened to our economy?
>or have they never talked to someone with those problems?
>hipsters and normies actually being exposed to reality, real people with real problems and hardship
there's a reason they can't give any advice/help to those people, only to fellow fakes

Since I'm talking to some employees about it today, I'm curious how much of each paycheck Yea Forums puts into investments, such as stocks and 401ks? I've found out that not nearly enough people put nearly enough in.
I forgot to say I pay 5€ which is 5,65 in Italy.

Yes

I like to use pigeons.

pretty sure it's Iliad.
70-80%
I have these awful anti-investments known as student loans I was tricked into getting so I could get my job. Fuck this stupid ass system. I won't be able to retire anyways, so why even bother investing for it?
Stocks is literally gambling.
$100k/yr at 25? Looks like someone is a trust fund babby who got a job at daddy's company.
No car payment means he probably was given one when he turned 16.
He's one of those rich frugaljerkers who is on a prepaid plan instead of an unlimited one. No car payment makes me think he also has
I pay $40/mo for ATT prepaid. I get 6gb of data which is plenty for me.

Not if you're smart.

Christ what the fuck? Who just gives away their fucking money? I'll kill you and take it instead.
It was when boomers and the silent gen were growing up.
imagine living in a poor country
You can right off a certain amount of charitable donations from your taxes.
I guess you could save with a CDs, but unless you're putting a lot into it, it won't be easy to retire on.
>below six figures
>middle class
Shit, I have three roommates, getting my rent down to 400$ a month and I'm still fucking broke. I swear I want to drop my health insurance for the extra 200 a month, but I know for a FACT the moment I do, I'm going to get injured or really sick or something. That's just how it works.
You either have to pay a lot of attention to the markets, literally making it your only job, or have inside information, but that means you've been in the business for decades.
Based. I want to die anyway. Please kill me anomalous stranger.
Well I changed to Iliad and then I was given this 5 euro offer which I accepted because 1) I don't live in a big city so with the network I am better of with TIm for now and 2) We are poor and I would rather spend less as possible....and then my mother spent 40€ in tapestries and a trimmer yesterday, welp.
>keep $600 and get taxed on it at 40%

wooow
A lot is left out from the article.
>makes $100,000 a year
>lives with 4 people
>on his parents health insurance
>splits internet and house cleaning bill between roommates
Kind of retarded to live with other people that aren't family or a spouse if you make so much.
I invest 40% of my paycheck into funko pops, action figures, comic books, t shirts, and physical media. I also use to invest in porn dvd's+magazines but once I got married I had to invest in a storage facility to store it all.
>Donations: $615
LOL
Well you've certainly got communism down pat
middle class is 40k-122k statistically median income in the us is like 56k so thats a good measuring point.
>t. Squatter
>Kind of retarded to live with other people that aren't family or a spouse if you make so much.

(Comedic pitch) You don't even know what a write off is.
No and neither are the people in this infographic
>Kind of retarded to live with other people that aren't family or a spouse if you make so much.
Yeah
I work with two guys (both single) who lived with their parents while in uni and for a few years after getting hired
They were both able to buy houses on a $45k/yr income after a few years of saving
Of course, mommy and daddy paid for their tuition so that was a big help.

To be fair you really shouldn’t by into the “chemical imbalance” bullshit. If you’re sad 90% you have something to be reasonably upset about. It just often is a problem that’s either hard to describe or isn’t socially acceptable to point out or desire. For example, if you can’t get laid that’s a perfect example of not fulfilling a basic desire, yet if you’re otherwise well off people will pretend it’s unreasonable for you to be sad about it.
I didn't realize people were this poor...
how do y'all survive?
>donations 615$
That's him paying for sex. I see a few different escorts a week, and all of them ask for "donations" instead of flat out saying they are charging for sex. I hit big on some college basketball lines this weekend and ended up donating $1500 to some whores for some cheap coke fueled sex.
I don't know what retarded assumptions you're making, but there's no reason to live like an animal when you make $100k.
in misery and pipe dreams
Remember when Middle class meant you could buy a house and never hurt?
You can't buy a house in bumfuck Kansas on 50K
oh you mean 40€ monthly are paid for a phone then? I don't understand those either, I have a phone which was a bit more than 100€ and I don't feel like I am missing out anything, well sure photos quality could be better.
From 1969 you had 6 Republican presidents, what did they ever do to fix wages? I remember Reagan firing over 11K air traffic controllers who were on strike for better wages, which is ironic given he went on strike too for better wages when he was an actor.
I survive just fine off of $0. I live with my parents and they pay for my food and electricity. Why do you ask stupid questions like this?
At 25, theres only one good reason to live like that: you're saving for a house

Relatively speaking, the tweet was completely serious about that description, dude. Just having a budget and keeping to it is already leagues above most young people.
To save money idiot.
The higher the CoL of your area the more savings you get by getting roommates.
learn english
News sites keep posting these articles lately about rich brats in trendy cities. I think it's literally just to piss people off and get hateclicks.
It's a language issue. You are literally surviving, just barely being alive. When he says "survive", he means being an actualized person, who has dreams and goals and accomplishments.
>Making $100k/year
>Still living with roommates
California sounds like hell.
>tfw upper class
Why am I still depressed
This is from the view of a rich person, who beleives donations and donation drives are business investments and social meetings.
Literally big part of making legit big money is being part of a social group with other rich people.
>WHY THE FUCK DO I LIKE EATING OUT AND BEING SOCIAL SO MUCH, REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>If I didn't go out, I would save so much fucking money
I wish I could have been an anti-social asshole with no friends.
I love hanging out and broing it up, but it's so fucking costly to constantly eat out and go to events. I'm just happy my SO is finishing their Bachelors this year, so hopefully they will become my sugar momma once they get an actual job unlike my wagecuck trash job.
At least I get benefits for working a government job, but I can barely afford them along with everything else.
>$825
yeah 450 is more realistic
Actualization is a myth. People will always find shit to be miserable about. I'm quite happy where I am. I eat plenty of food and am fit.
>dude just put your money in investments lmao
>donations
I'm assuming this unrealistic budget is expecting that Richie Rich bought himself a cheap phone off contract and is on a prepaid plan.
And the /pol/ types are gonna tell you that putting women back in the kitchen will raise wages for men, but you'd have to go back and stop WW1 from happening to reverse the trend of women entering the workforce.
Thanks, CNBC.
Can you scale it down to someone that makes 18k a year?
Born into middle class, now I'm likely below the poverty line.
It hurts so much. My single mom was able to afford a 3 bedroom house on an income of $30k. I make $40k now and can't afford a house in my town because prices have gone up 2.5x since I was a kid.
I don't need to invest into a 401k. My employer is legally obligated to put money into my retirement savings above and beyond my regular wages
Can't afford to invest into stocks though
No, you can't.
People misunderstand how this works because they've never done their own fucking taxes and don't know what the standard deduction is.
tl;dr:
When you do your taxes you either get a standard deduction (right now it's $12k for a single filer) OR you can itemize all your deductions.
So unless EVERYTHING you can deduct on your taxes adds up to more than $12,000, it's pointless to donate to charities if all you're looking for is the tax break
not if you are on a w2 and arent paid in stock dividends
If he would learn to Clean and Cook and stop being a cunt and Donate he would have nicer life
I make basically nothing and i spend more than 1k on going out every month.
NYC, the kid has a 2 hour commute into long island
I make 30k a year, which is about average for millenials in their late 20s
$60 for a game once or twice a year is not very much.
$300-400 for a new console or a PC upgrade once a year is not very much.
>dreams and goals and accomplishments
90% of people I know with money do nothing with their lives other than attempt to accumulate more money.
