Videogame music soundtrack quality peaked in the 2000s and completely collapsed in the 2010s

>Videogame music soundtrack quality peaked in the 2000s and completely collapsed in the 2010s
Is it a fact or an opinion?

Extremely poor opinion

It's a completely valid opinion. Spend more than 15 minutes on khinsider and maybe you'll form a new one.

That's an extremely obvious opinion. I'd say we're returning to a renaissance of videogame music after the disastrous age of "slap some orchestral on it" from the late 2000s.

>Video game [noun] peaked in [generation you grew up in] and collapsed in [modern generation ]

Uh oh
Uh oh
Oh no...

2/10, pick a less obvious year than the best soundtrack of all time. Pic related. inb4 some niggerfaggot contarian comes in here and actually, sincerely says it's shit.

Mostly did because sound designers and composers got lazy or they hired retards all about big orchestral shit 24/7 instead of making good music.
Thing is though, the part about when it peaked is just opinion, for example 90s rpg vgm and 00s rpg vgm are wildly different in styles to the point you can't really compare the two, but both are amazing

Videogame music is just plagiarism from real music, literally everything, that 1-2 level Mario song? A copy. MK theme? Copy. Sonic levels soundtracks? All copies. Theres nothing original in videogames regarding to music

Imagine being this niggardly.
