I like it, but it can be a bit of a grind sometimes. P3P adds a lot of QoL stuff to the earlier releases but it cuts down heavily on the presentation values.

It’s a solid pickup if you already played one of the PS2 versions for FeMC’s route or else don’t have a lot of time to play in front of a TV anymore, but if I had to start from scratch, I’d probably play FES instead since a hack that grants P3P-style full party control now exists.

Are all PS1 and PSP games compatible when using the psp emulator? Is the emulation 100%? Is battery life affected when emulating psp games?

His isn't all white. Superior color is white/pink or white/baby blue.

Most PS1 games I've played were okay but stuff like Megaman Legends has heavy slowdown in a couple areas. If you overclock your Vita its probably fine though.

Am thinking on getting a Vita actually and was looking at the white/baby blue online yesterday. Are they region free? Easily hackable? It's my favorite color combo I've seen so far, though I wish there was a white/pastel green one.

I'm prob the only user with a vita that hasn't modded his cause I have 2 3DS that are modded and I already have all the shit I want to play on the Vita. But I've heard it is easy af to do and it has no problems running psp games.

Vita has had a netflix app forever and switch a new console doesn't. Lol, i own a switch and 2 vitas and use my vitas far more. Thinking of hacking my switch, but there are no games I even want to pirate. It is all ports I already own or baby tier phone games. I just find the no netflix funny cause I was watching star trek on my vita today in my car while shitposting with my phone.

You can buy a 2 or 4gb card for the 1000 oled, you need it to store the hack before you install the vita2sd hack. The only reason the slim doesn't need it cause it comes with 1 gb built in storage. You could sell the card after you hack it and the small 2 or 4 cards ar under 10 dollars.
I would go for the oled.

Get the big grips that are like the handles of a ds4, once you use them you'll love it and wonder why you never had them, I've used them since 2012.

Tried turning my vita on yesterday for the first time in a good while. I get a solid blue light, but no image. Recovery menu won't work either. Holding down the power button for any ammount of time does nothing but turn the blue light off.

it wasn't bad but the one we got is better I think. They only fucked up with the storage media and ports.

Sony was paranoid about the Vita getting hacked after the PS3 debacle. They thought proprietary memory would have slowed it down.

In reality, proprietary memory makes no difference. Memory is memory, it all works the same way and it did nothing to stop the homebrew scene.

This is probably why this new model would have scrapped the official memory cards, since it failed and it only held back the Vita.

As much as people will hate on Sony, I would love it if they just straight up copied the Switch if they ever do handhelds again.
No touch screens or gyro controls.
Have it all one piece, no detachable controllers, maybe have controller plates to customize them
Have it be a PS1/2/3/PSP/Vita port machine
Have the option to run PS Now
Have it take standard memory cards
USB-C charging compatible

This is all I want. I'll be happy with that.

I didn't mind the touchscreen, I just hate how it was shoehorned into games. I thought the touchpad was a waste of time though.
