Post god-tier vidya soundtracks, if you want add a short review and description to your comment
I'll start. Katamari series is like potato chips for your ears, every track is insanely original and the OST spans multiple genres. If you have nostalgia goggles for this series then you already get why this is a god-tier soundtrack youtube.com/watch?v=95jD5tMFjhs&list=PLBB7D6D0650A7FA4B
We're going way back to 1994 for this chiptune, electro synth hard rock jam session. While later versions turned to more of an elevator music electronic feel, X and X2 had definite rock elements from 80's and 90's rock music as major influences. The bass line and the drum solos really made this soundtrack for me youtube.com/watch?v=tBWl9p0fH28
You know it, I know it, we all love it. Relive the 2001 genre-defining Halo: Combat evolved soundtrack with full orchestration and choir youtube.com/watch?v=I8vaCrVIR-Q
Hearkening back to a simpler time, Celeste is a game that is all about reliving late 80's-early 90's NES nostalgia. This soundtrack takes time to build into something, but what it builds to is complex and heartfelt, at times adrenaline pumping and at times remorseful and sullen youtube.com/watch?v=Ctuo3ws3EKs&list=PL1eFjFaZ9VkyDcVnvJyEC3P8tCFpZpRoU
Well this is a sad thread with only me in it.......

So you have this music that not only sounds nice, it also has lyrics in multiple different languages (some made-up just for the game) that describe events of the game, like this one for banishing the enemy out of your dimension. youtube.com/watch?v=6CQL1WUR6pk
this theme is unique in the game all other ones are more aggressive or tense. Making this all the more touching in a way it also fits well with the scene. youtube.com/watch?v=myAkUCX1dkQ
the dark lich/ oracle theme is so banging it's ridiculous.
Ys I & II elevated the potential of video game music back in 1989, and is basically responsible for why JRPGs and video games in general are allowed to have god-tier music. The Chronicles version kicks things up many, many notches, let's just say.
Reminder that the most viewed and memed video game song of all time, Megalovania, was inspired by Brandish 2's final boss theme, which Toby himself admits in the "Making Of" section of his Halloween Hack. youtube.com/watch?v=aIXlqAcyTbg

Yeah definitely ahead of it's time for sure "inspired by" is definitely right, because I don't think it's plagiarized at all here. If anything I hear some doom soundtrack in Brandish 2 boss theme youtube.com/watch?v=wCdnLHzdGQo This technically isn't VG music at all, but it definitely fits the genre of chiptunes and would be great licensed into a game
