Nobody plays GTA for the singleplayer anymore anyway, and considering they dropped any story DLC for GTAV there’s a good chance the next game might do away with singleplayer altogether. Why invest so much in offline mediocrity when Shark Cards and online role playing are what moves copies now?

GTA was always a great game when it comes to the open world and mechanics aspect of it.
