Star allies was fine, it actually introduced a lot of things that would be nice to see in the next game. The challenge maps in Heroes in Another dimension were really nice and I think it would be pretty fun if the bonus levels you unlock in every world were designed like these ones to be as challenging as possible. Aside from difficulty I think one of the big problems with recent Kirby games is how useless stars are, it would be nice if you could use some sort of special ability after collecting enough stars that could involve doing a super move, spawning a specific ability you want to use(which would be really nice in the cases where you run into puzzles that require specific abilities that are no where to be seen resulting in you having to revisit the level just for one collectible), or spawning a dream friend. I don't care if they keep making super star style games as long as we keep getting bangers like Robobot, if the series absolutely needed to make any drastic changes then I would have already ditched it long ago

>hub world takes you to more directed areas you need to clear like in Normal Kirby games but air rides and stars are an integral component of the gameplay, letting you alternate between going on foot in more closed in areas and using air rides for longer stretches of traversal/platforming

It's a prequel to the 2nd one so they're not a "couple" yet if you want to call it that. Dark Meta is in borbheat and needs to bang something. Shadow is there just being a nice person, cleaning up his house and then he basically tries to rape her. But she's into it so I guess it's OK.
My issue is that Dark Meta comes off as a thug and Shadow his prey. It's love born out of sex and not the other way around. Being a romancefag this rubs me the wrong way. I like Shadow though.

The problem was that BWD only had his personality and role established in recent years, so the author just slapped a bandana on the novel Dee when it became clear he's now the main Dee without changing his personality at all.

I would say the copy abilities worth bringing back are;
Adventure: Beam, Cutter, Fire, Ice, Sleep, Spark, Stone, Sword
KSS: Fighter, Bomb
2.5D: Leaf, Water, Archer, ESP
Aside from that everything else could be dropped especially if you go balls to the wall on that removing of baggage. If King Dedede makes nothing more than a minor cameo at the introduction or epilogue of the game then Hammer can be ignored completely. Honestly if it wasn't for the elemental functionality I would drop Fire, Ice, Spark, Stone, Leaf & Water. Anyways that's 14 abilities so for the game to have 23-28 Abilities would mean creating 9-14 new abilities which sounds like it'd be about on par with KSS then for new abilities.

I've been playing Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn on the 3ds, but I'm really conflicted. The inner completionist in me makes me want to play Devilish mode for all the stages, but I really can't enjoy it. It's not fun having to restart a whole stage because one thing hits me from off screen and damages me, the music constantly getting interrupted, etc.

I might be misremembering some since I looked at the wiki pages for them a while back, but overall they seem to be mostly be original stories (with OCs in most, but not all, cases) and combining them with elements from the games. The Star Allies duology is probably the only time so far that they've done an outright adaptation.

The robot gimmick was very properly implemented, the overall aesthetic of ghe game was very unique and the plot twist with the lore blew the fuck out of my mind.
