Memes aside this game is really fucking good. The beautiful world is just so satisfying to explore whilst hunting treasure, animals or collectables. Sure the missions were linear but I'm amazed people struggle to find the total opposite of linearity outside of them in the hundreds of things to do. With all the challenges, exploring the whole map, completing all side missions and more you can play this game for an entire year I'm sure of it, without a doubt the most for your money ever.
Yeah, I have a lot of ideas on how it could be potentially better but what is already there is very solid. Just spent a few hours today hunting and getting into capers, found a treasure, hunted and progressed challenges. If you ignore the open world and breeze through the main quest like an autismo you'll probably miss most of the things that make this game great.
Me too. What are yours? For me, I'd love to have a companion like Charles to explore around, set up camp with and just be immersed. After the epilogue you are on your own for good apart from the homestead, which could also be fleshed out more. You can't ever take Jack on a fishing trip again, just greet him.

first time playing through i didn't really do anything outside missions and sure i enjoyed the story a lot but i wasn't too impressed with the game as a whole
then on my second playthrough i spend a lot of time doing challanges and hunting for different outfits and satchels and i absolutely loved it

I'd mostly just want more generated missions like bounty hunting missions that take a random guy / girl and let you bring them in after all the unique bounties are done. Similarly more stagecoach robbery missions, for the epilogue maybe let the player do missions to protect areas / wagons ?
Camp management could've had more depth and meaning, I understand why they didn't but as it is there's no reward from crafting those autistic bone decorations around the camp or shit like that. Being able to have gang companions and outfitting / arming them would've been more interesting as well.
I liked how in Tumbleweed there were bounty missions for the del lobo and in blackwater for those fuckers in tall trees. Could have done with more. I like your idea about outfitting the companions.

I have the fucking thing for the xbox 1. Personally, have never liked rockstar all that much, but got it since I heard so many good reviews. It' available for Pc now right? Now that my PC is working (i9-7940, 2080ti, 128GB, NVIDIA 100fps monitor) is it owrth paying for the fucker all over again for the graphics on PC? My TV is decent, 65 inch, close to 4k but not quite all the way there, not OLED). Is it worth buying same game over jys for much better graphics for OC?

I loved the shit out of this game, but I haven't been able to bring myself to beat it. I got 85.7% of the game done, i have maybe two story missions left as Jim Milton, but I haven't ended it yet. I'll get around to it sooner or later, but I'm just not ready yet. Gonna post a few screenshots to keep this thread alive, never had a good chance before now.
Keep em coming, I need to grab my screenshots off the ps4 soon. I've had the game since November and had a month off sometimes. It's a great game to come back into, you just need motivation to start it up sometimes though.

It really is one of the comfiest/most fun video games to come out in a while. There's definite flaws but the good FAR outweighs the bad imo. & Arthur has to be one of the best vidya characters of all time, up there with RDR1 John

this game actually caused a lot of fucking problems in my house. my roomate was super depressed from shit IRL, and i let him play it when i wasn't. he beat it, but it took a serious toll on him mentally, what with arthur getting sick and dying - his grandmother met a similar fate in october. kind of drained my will to play, since it caused such a shit show for weeks in my house. i will say, though, that the game gets points for being that emotionally powerful - shit made me pretty bummed out, too.
there's an entire year of gameplay? LOL, once you finish the sidequests and hunt all legendary animals, there's literally nothing else to do, there are some events on the map as you walk through it but that's it, there's at best 30-40 hours of gameplay there.
now the thing that should be working and be giving players hundreds of hours of gameplay is the online mode, in which is shit, rockstar dropped the ball there, and i am not going to buy any more games from rockstar from now on, fuck rockstar, they are literally worse than EA right now

yes, and it's still fucking abysmal. it's still technically in beta, but theres nothin to do and nothing they could really add to make it fun, since they're so limited by the time period. GTAO was only a little fun because of flying motorcycles and shit

Older man was yelling at the two recruits to raise the cross for a rally later, calling them incompetent and shit. then it fell and crushed them. He said "OH GOD, does shit always happen to me?" Then i shot him with a fire arrow. Good times

Yeah the 99 really helps speed up the process. I've gathered most of the cards from the world but just went ahead near the end of ch5 and bought/dropped a bunch of cartons. I'm not sure if there's any drop ratio at all when it comes to cards, probably just random but I think I only repeated the process like 5 or so times. (my decks were all around 3/4 completed by then though)
