What is one (1) video game you always go back to?

True, sonic games are generally fun to pick up and just play at any given moment.

Mega man legends 1 and 2. I play them each once a year.

Every few months i will go back to Civ V to binge a domination file starting in ancient era.

Mass Effect and Oblivion
I wasn't really into RPGs as a kid so these were really the first RPGs I completed outside of Pokémon and Paper Mario.

Super Mario Galaxy. I'm a sucker for atmosphere in games and I've never quite seen any other game match that same feeling of how immensely vast, frightening, and mysterious outer space is, but how beautiful it is at the same time.

I also like the gravity mechanic and the spin feels very satisfying.

When I got all 120 stars (and the bonus one in the Mushroom Kingdom) as Luigi a year after beating the game first with Mario, I realized how hollow it was. Galaxy 2 is way better.

Jak 3. That was one of my favorite games of my childhood and I can never get bored of it.

I do full playthroughs of avernum 1-3 every year. Its simply the best rpg ever made, nothing even comes close.

I don't play it on a regular basis, I might do one stage every three months generally speaking, but I keep a Sega Saturn hooked up at all times just in case I get the urge to play Nights into Dreams.
