>Old School RuneScape
>one of them is a wikia page
>Game has two wikis
>One of them is blatantly better than the other
What’s the name Yea Forums?
What the fuck is that, I hope it's just copypasted over and over again.
Zelda
>one of them is better for gameplay mechanics the other better for anything else
JUST FUCKING MERGE
>one of them is much better than the other
>that one is called "the cuck wiki" or something and using it gets you laughed at
Mario.
>game had console exclusivity so the wiki is barebones trash
>more progress done in two weeks after pc release than the 6 months on console
dark souls. zelda. pokemon. any game with both a wikia or gamepedia
check it yourself, bud

>Both wikis are useless for what you want
I just wanna know which hairstyle is the one I brought at the gold saucer dammit.
>Star Wars only has 1 wiki
>it's stuck in Wikia hell
why...
>wiki has an ocd mod who constantly adds "trivia" thats just patterns that dont exist
>ie: in part 2 [generic protag] wears the hair to the side and in part 3 its back to normal again, this is because part 2 features an extra door at the entrance of the level
>game has 2 wikis
>theyre both completely worthless
I just bought Worms WMD and was hoping for some guide on all the new weapons and game modes but nooo
what's the problem with wikia?
Pokemon is so fucking autistic that fan sites serve the purpose of wikis and there are too many of them
why ?
Botnet
>unofficial wiki has more indepth info and knowledge than the supposed official
The elder scrolls
90% of the space on the web page is devoted to ads.
wikirby.com
>zelda.gamepedia.com
To be honest that place has recently been going downhill for a multitude of reasons (overzealous admin, taking the literally licensed fanfiction from the two latter Dark Horse books as gospel, overdoing it with unneeded references hindering legibility, etc.). Unfortunately the current alternatives aren't much better, but it's still not the ideal wiki that it used to be. The Gamepedia merge (which itself is now merging into Wikia/Fandom) is probably partly to blame.
>log in to wikia to contribute
>get b& because you need to follow a plethora of draconian rules for some reason
I didn't know you could find worse than Yea Forums mods
>both are shit
whats the game Yea Forums
>The Gamepedia merge (which itself is now merging into Wikia/Fandom)
what the fuck NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>wiki tries to be funny
>it actually is
imfdb.org
Wikirby is fucking empty. No one cares enough to write for it. Mario wiki is easily the most kino Wiki. It's also the best Donkey Kong one by extension.
animebathscenewiki.com
monster hunter
I wish all FANDOM wikis were this good.
>which itself is now merging into Wikia/Fandon
Oh god please no.
>wiki thinks that the games are an elaborate metaphor to circumcision
Still way better than its cesspit Wikia counterpart. Kirbyfags know what I'm talking about.
Fire Emblem has 3 I think, because one of them is a pitfall
>Scary Godmother shitpost wiki got wiped
WHAT THE FUCK WHY?
>muh fake cute anime gook girl
nah
Souls games, the wikidot are superior in every way and aren't fucking bloated in design.
wat.fandom.com
daily reminder that this is the best wiki ever made
click the hyperlinks, the site has like a hundred pages

Why
Example?
And i mean good, 10/10 game example not released simultaneously on PC or within 10 years of console release... fucking faggot frogs.
>franchise has two wikis
>They are both mediocre and half finished.
Nioh
Which is this again?
>Wikia version has more content because it shows up first on searches and is older
>Other version is better but less popular
>every page flooded with old 2011 Yea Forums memes
It's like a time machine, I remember the original threads when we made this thing
Best part are the almost 200k comments.
If they don't fake the happiness you're just left with a husk that values aesthetic.
>uesp
>wikia
>wikia comes up first in results
fuck off you piece of shit
The abandoned wiki is being filled by one person's fan fiction who are just Fate characters.
Binding of isaac last I checked
>Wiki is a mixed bag of actual game info and the other fan content
>Wiki doesn't bother to label the fan content as such, leading to the entire thing being worthless
>It's true.
Zelda Wiki better bail the fuck out pretty goddamn quick or soon the corporate overlords will force-merge it with Zeldapedia.
Super Smash Bros
IMAGINE not filtering all that out!
Is there any good DQ wiki?
Adblock is immoral.
>>>>>bulbapedia
Anyway here’s the gamepedia wiki for a mobage nobody cares about

Silent Hill
>Literal fanfiction wikis labeled and presented as such come up in search results when you look up something
>they’re just as bad as you would assume
Weren't there some pedophiles on bulbapedia
i fucking hate that
>look at player races in dnd wiki
>find weird races
>google them
>term results are other people being confused about the races
>turns out its just oc by the wiki owner
the owner
Halopedia > Halo Wikia
>Game wiki is full of factual and grammatical errors
>Could easily fix most of it
>Don't
Yes.
The webmaster, Liam Pomfret (yes, his last name has “Pomf” in it, we’re all aware of the irony) is on record saying things like “age is just a number” in discussions on /vp/ many years ago
And there was a private mods-only subforum in their forums where people posted amateur softcore porn of themselves and it was flooded with underaged mods posting their genitals and being rated.

Combine Overwiki
There's Wikia, which tries to be a catch-all but fails spectacularly as an unorganized mess, and what else? Other than a fextralife for MHW and some JP resources which are game-specific, the rest (Kiranico, Ping's Dex, etc) are all dedicated databases, not wikis.
I do, doesn't make it any more acceptable from them
>wiki for movies
>movie title: the game (video game)
>it just has one section and it's a copypaste from another wiki site
UESP is literally the most patrician wiki of all time, it's a fucking shame the literally shit-tier fandom one comes up first on most search results
tcrf.net
cool as shit
Zelda
Monster Hunter
Elder Scrolls
>pronouns
what?

Halopedia vs Halo wikia
The Japanese FF fan wiki is weird, but it has Dissidia moveset pages that are kino (if you can read them.

>google searches always bring up the shitty one first and the good one way down the page
>If you're new to the game take a look at our guides
>wiki/wikia
why even bother almost as bad as spreadsheet "guide" cancer
wikimon is far better than the digimon wikia
That goes with the "overzealous admin" mentioned earlier: zeldauniverse.net
>Poll opens up in the forums during a dry spell.
>It's overall pretty even but more people do vote against change, though the poll is closed as the tide is turning due to unexplained circumstances.
>After changes start happening, a lot of wiki-goers who don't use the forums speak up that the original poll wasn't even announced on the wiki.
>The other staff seemingly unanimously nod in agreement but ask for their patience while the gender-confused admin who wanted this is apparently going through a millennial identity crisis or something.
>Months go by, eventually the staff manage to convince said admin or at least overrule his idiocy.
That's the summary version from what I remember.
Yes, Wikia owns Gamepedia and is rebranding as Fandom, so the merge is in process.
That's Monster Hunter before it got really big in the west, but it was more like one english wiki and a fuckton of japanese wikis/fansites
is a good thing i don't indulge in fandoms anymore.
Is info.sonicretro kino?
based
For technical stuff and rare scans? They're invaluable. For everything else? Unfortunately, Sonic News Network still has them beat.
Fire Emblem
dark souls. I fucking hate fextralife but its always at the top. Fucking garbage site to navigate. Wikidot is way easier to read.
>game has a useless english wiki that doesn't even cover basic shit like nation differences
>Japanese Wiki is great, contains strategies, builds and guides for 90+ nations
>It's a western game
Can anyone guess what game this is? It's fairly obscure
