Driving was shit, story had retarded pacing, map was terrible, face points was completely unnecessary, police points and property damage is completely retarded especially with the terrible driving. Having a racing mission also really hurts with those limitations. Gunplay is meh but slow-motion parts are alright, so's the car jacking a la Pursuit Force and shooting out the tires. Lack of guns or weapons in general is pretty shit though. Melee combat is kinda alright, it's great at places where there's a lot of spots for environmental damage, but under freeroam circumstances thugs don't usually hang out near environmental hazards and that takes it down a notch. Missions are alright setpieces, but nothing special.

Overall a 6/10

The game really jumps the shark in that nightclub mission that ends in a city wide car chase shootout and has you blowing up like 25 cars.
It felt like a very grounded game before that. The few times a gun comes into play before that, it felt like it had weight.
Suddenly you're gunning down guys by the dozens

honestly it was too obvious he was going to die, i was on eggshells the entire game waiting for it. would have been nice if they did a fakeout and he just escaped it all. he should have had a pork bun in his hand.
