So if you like sports games you are either a gangbanger or a Slav? Obviously sports games are still popular because they sell millions of copies per year. As far as Madden and NBA 2K, neither game has seen any positive changes since their microtransaction scams started. All effort goes into making sports gatchas, with absolutely zero rewards for actually making a Ultimate Team. It's pointless.

Unless you like "realistic" sports games. Fifa and Madden are still huge.

sports games have been dead ever since ea lost the mlb license and got the exclusive nfl rights.
in one fell swoop, they stopped putting any effort into madden at all, we never got another nfl game as kino as nfl 2k5, and we never got another mlb game as kino as mvp baseball 2005.
other issues that haven't helped matters are that the nba 2k series started rivaling fifa for lootbox greed, and nobody is legally allowed to make ncaa football games anymore.
