Im playing through this right now, make sure you get the GOTY edition if at all.
Like the first user said, the gameplay becomes quite boring pretty fast, the skills are a little bit weird in a sense that they are "arcadey"; however, the story seems good enough to atleast not bore you to death and your companions are still pretty great, like in most other bioware games. Also the Lore is great and the openworld looks fine.

I played it on PS4 and thought the gameplay was really bad. When you aren't using abilities all you do is hold down R2 and wait for enemies to die, and the animations are terrible and enemies don't react to anything you do so it's even worse than it sounds.

I took the time to play it a few months back and I was floored. Behind all the shitty Iron bull and other bullshit faggoty that ruined the game in addition to gameplay there is plenty of great lore.
There was obviously a good writer on board who wrote the underlying story and lore but didn't have a hand in the dialogue, character interactions or anything else.
