ZX3 would be based but it's time for X9. Best of both worlds would be a hybrid gameplay-wise.

Is there a hack that replaces the upgrade cyber-elves with the upgrades themselves? Grinding crystals is boring, and that way it would feel more like MMX.

ZX3. I loved Zero, BN, and SF but they've all told their stories and I don't need the first two to be retold. ZX3 has the cliffhanger and I just want to see it end like the rest.

But I'd take a new fun miniseries like BN and SF that plays completely different first if it can capture what made them special.

I did, though I never finished 3.
I only really liked the first one, 2 was a shitshow, and 3 was only slightly better than that experience from what I had played, 4 I liked back when I rented it as a kid, no idea how it'd hold up for me now.
