have one for the next gens?

it had games, far more than the Switch

It had bad Mario and Zelda games compared to N64. If it wasn't for melee or prime, it would be worthless

That should be a picture of the N64. This question applies to all Nintendo consoles from the SNES onwards.

It was too experimental with its games, and it had strong competition. PS2 had "muh graphics", the weeby games, and a bunch of big franchises; Xbox had the "muh edgy mature games" locked down.

This.

>PS2
>muh graphics
The Ps2 had the weakest grapical fidelity though. What killed the game cube was the small disc size.

>Super Mario Sunshine
>Pikmin
>Luigi's Mansion
>Mario Kart: Double Dash
>Wario Ware
>Mario Party
>Resident Evil 4
>>>no games
That's a big ol' yikes from me kiddo.

The success of any Nintendo console can be directly predicted by the quality of whatever Zelda title it gets in its launch window. Windwaker looked like babyshit so nobody bought the Gamecube. Twilight Princess looked cool so everybody bought it for the Wii. Wii U got Windwaker HD which everybody already knew was shit so the Wii U did terribly. Switch got Breath of the Wild so it sold gangbusters.

that's it?

No one ever bought a PS2 for the graphics it couldn't even render individual fingers for most of its life

Nah, fuck you and your shit taste. WW shit on MM and TP is pretty much OoT 2.0

Wikipedia says over 600.

Having done further research, releasing on the one week anniversary of 9/11 was an interesting choice.

in what way did the n64 fail?

>RE4
ignoring the fact that it was a ps2 exclusive for years? Get fucked nintendo cuck. your list is 7 games long and 5 of them are mario related.

IDGAF if ur trolling youre still a faggot

You're fagot 2.0 .

It was the beginning of the "mature games for mature gamers" era, people were huge on edgy games and realistic graphics like GTA while Nintendo went the other way.

literally all first party except RE4 which wasn't exclusive. it was meant to be though, might have changed the entire gen if capcom didnt fuck nintendo

This, it flopped because everyone was playing playstation.
Though, like the N64 before it, the console has some of the best games of the entire generation. Most of which are timeless classics still worth playing today.

>RE4
>PS2 Exclusive
???

Fucking hell, it’s a console, it had jack shit to do with 9/11, they aren’t gonna delay the release because some Gaijins learned about the religion of peace.

>PS2
>Muh graphics
It had the weakest hardware of the generation
>Xbox
>Muh mature edgy games
LIke... what? Halo? Xbox didn't become the dudebro console until the 360 when they got their first COD with COD 2.
I'm sure you can find some "mature" games but it had no more of those than any other console.

See the comprehensive list here: >worst terror attack in history
>forever changed world politics
>footage of planes hitting towers still being played
>rescue efforts still underway
>"hey, so Nintendo has released a new console..."

It failed to maintain its monopoly on cartridges. Nintendo was adamant about allowing developers to use cdroms because they owned the rights to their cartridges and forced third parties to pay even more to use them. That's why N64 games were $80 when cdrom games were $50. Third parties had to pay Nintendo $35 per cartridge just have their game manufactured just because Nintendo owned the technology.

>Super Mario Sunshine
>Wind Waker
>Pikmin
>Pikmin 2
>WarioWorld
>Wario Ware
>Luigi's Mansion
>Animal Crossing
>Doshin the Giant
>Smash Bros Melee
>Double Dash
>Paper Mario
>Twin Snakes
>Metroid Prime
>Metroid Prime 2
>Chibi-Robo
>Some great Mario Party games
>Pokemon Colosseum
>Eternal Darkness
>Resident Evil 4
>REmake
>F-Zero GX
>Viewtiful Joe
>All the good Wrestling games of the gen
Gamecube is pretty based, it just wasn't cool to like anything that didn't take lessons from GTA or Halo.

The world doesn’t have to stop just because there was a terrorist attack.

It did though, little zoomer.

I prefer sunshine to mario 64
it feels like an upgrade to me

>Ps2 had the weakest grapical fidelity
Burnout Revenge

The world doesn't have to stop. Still did though, and I'm not even American.

A fine extension to my brief list. F-Zero was class, not to mention Twin Snakes and Paper Mario.

Gamecube is better for multiplayer aone

Bullshit, every non-news channel still played their shows, still ran their commercials, the next day the rest of the country had to go back to sitting at their desks.

ps2 played dvd's
