Microsoft part is accurate, Sony isn't necessarily true given that no current Sony games are going to other platforms, only older ones (and ownership of those games is questionable for being Sony's)

I hope Nintendo follows suit and either sell DRM-free ROM compilations in GOG and Humble or opens their own DRM-free store with an open-source NES emulator.

Cuphead was never an exclusive Microsoft just funded the development. The cage games were exclusive though and its surprising Sony are giving away exclusives so easily. They rely on selling hardware by having exclusive software unlike Microsoft who relies on selling services above anything else so even of cuphead was an exclusive, Sony allowing these exclusive to be released on PC is still more shocking.

Sony are going to pull out of the console market. They're finished if they don't upgrade their cloud service within the next 2-3 years otherwise MS and Google will overtake them in cloud gaming marketshare and it will be extremely hard to win those people back over especially if they've already invested into a subscription with either of those two companies. Gaming has come to a point where if you're a big player you're destined to win because of how many people you can theoretically stream your games to. Why would some casualfag by a ps5 when he can stream his game through his smartTV or even hook up his iPad or whatever to his TV and stream games through that?

Exclusives still have value but not in the traditional sense. You won't be limited to playing a specific game on a specific console anymore you'll be able to play that exclusive game on any platform of your choice but that game is still an exclusive to the platform it's on like Netflix. You'll be able to play all these Google games for example on any platform you want but the games will still be exclusive to Google's platform in the same way any upcoming Microsoft game will only be playable on their cloud service and consoles and on windows PC.
Bloodborne is on PC through psnow but its still technically a playstation exclusive through their own service.

I played both of the original trilogies and Gears is not only a superior video game to Uncharted (Uncharted 3 still had worse gameplay than Gears 1 by far) but Gears 1 and 2 (3 was a mess) are also much better story wise. It blows my mind how the Uncharted games have been branded as some stand out narrative masterpiece (not that Gears are that either).

Xbone has the best services, cross compat with my PC the best MP FPS of the gen with Halo and true 4K, so I don't think it's hurting for exclusives.

I hope they just make a gaming OS or just a platform like steam. Make a prebuilt PC, call it a PS5/Xboxbadname, and ensure all games made for the OS runs well or acceptable on the prebuilt or it doesn't get to be in the store. It would both allow unprecedented reach for all games. Or just make an OS/platform then switch to streaming boxes for the console tards.
