Jesus this game is no joke, it’s a complete casual filter. I can’t even get past the cavalryman boss.

Git gud
do you have the grapling hook attack?
Lmao got gud haha it’s a dumb souls game stop meming the difficulty
I play this game like a total autist but even I beat him first try
Wtf cavalry man is easy
laddy butterfly is much harder
these first 3 months of 2019 has been so good. every time i finish one great game a new one is already out
here's to another 9 months of crap though, nothing else is coming out this year
>Full time job so my gaming time is limited
>Only managed to finish RE2 last week (and only the 1st playthrough with Leon, I still have to do 2nd Claire and Claire 1 Leon 2, let alone the Ghost Survivors shit) last week
>Started Sekiro and I just arrived at the part where you meet a giant snake; this game may take a couple months too
>Haven't touched Ace Combat 7 yet
>Playing Catherine Classic too
If there is something good about being busy is that games last me way more time. But yeah, the rest of 2019 has nothing (unless Doom Eternal or Code Vein are released).
.Hey guys it's sooo hard, likeDark Souls! Let's fawn over how hard it is...
For fuck sake, it's another dodge spam game. I'm so disappointed in this piece of shit. I expected it to take more than a weekend.
>being this much of a fag
Is that the horseman guarding the gate? Get good at parrying his attacks and you'll get it eventually
Can someone buy me Sekiro
He's so fucking easy though. I beat him twice now without dying.
SEETHING activision casual
>it's another dodge spam game
you haven't played it
This it's a good and amazing year
Can I get my money back, please?
you're got to be baiting
95% of these fucking threads are all just baiting
nobody can be this shit
>thought the game would suck because its too easy
>everyone saying its hard
>now i really want to get it
damn...
this game isn't well designed, we already discussed why in a previous thread. we can stop pretending now
The outer Worlds and Shenmue 3
Its the bad kind if difficulty where you are just jappy you dont have to fight the boss anymore. Genichiro has really put a dent into the fun for me with his second phase.
>Epic Games Store
Might as well not come out at all this year
>see all these threads
>open twitch to see how fem streamers cope with the game
>white bitch cant get past the first mini general, minions
>complains about parrying
>smiles and switches to asmr
>check random small korean streamer - bitch is fighting genichiro and owl
genichiro second phase was piss easy once i realized that it was r1 and not l1 for the thunder reflect, i died like 10 times before realizing that then killed him super quick. the difficulty of the game is pretty on point but i just hate the fact that you literally have to pretty much almost just parry all the fucking time to do anything
>>white bitch cant get past the first mini general, minions
name pls
This and he's got pretty big wind ups to his attacks you can deflect.
You can also just kind of sprint around him when he's doing his big charge in 2nd phase.
Also being able to reflect in air was VERY useful for me in that fight.
died to him 20 times, 18th time i was missing 2 hits to beat him and died anyway
Why does this game look so cheap
how do i beat him bros it's impossible
From kind of sucks at graphics.
manages to look worse than nioh and bloodborne
>nothing else is coming out this year
Wrong
-Psychonauts 2
-Noita
-Dying Light 2
-Disco Elysium
-Shovel Knight Kind of Cards
-Ori and the Will of the Wisps
-Hylics 2
-Phoenix Point
Just pirate it you dummy, Epic already bought you your copy
idk dude. her name was dizzy kitten on twitch.
i quit after she started that asmr.
From's poor graphics are usually hidden because all their games a pretty dark lighting wise.
Sekiro is much brighter.
Literally all shovelware
Have that (you), you clearly need it
Same here. Been playing Sekiro like a mofo and lighting a joint since yesterday, probably will need to stop on weekdays so it might take some time. Then I ll might try RE2 and Ace Combat, so Im covered until summer
found her
>90% of her channel is just asmr
>a few apex legends videos
>dmc5 gameplay on human difficulty, spamming colour up shots and streak
>$200 donations left and right
man, i really hate twitch.
THIS FUCKING FAGGOT KICKED MY ASS. I spent so much time focusing on dueling person sized opponent my brain melts when I fight a beast type enemy. And now I'm struggling with phase 2. His creepy fucking gyrations aren't helping. Cool boss, though
I one shot Gyoubu Oniwa and Lady Butterfly... but died like 20 times to the piss-ant ogre.
so are all asmr stuff like that?
bitch just took out a bowl and started tapping it while whispering
thats it?
Streaming asmr in general is shit because any asmr video worth a damn has a bit of post-production to balance the audio and make sure there are no spikes. Asmr can be anything though, everyone has their own triggers, some people don't have any. Most common is whispering, tapping, scratching, that kind of thing.
>Nothing else is coming out this year
Why did you repeat what I said?
Yeah the really helped me get him down in the first couple tries, partying is also good for this fight.
>dodge spam
What did he mean by this?
Seething
Does Mibu Village ever get fixed like the fog by killing that Mist Demon? Because I'd hold out in killing whatever triggers it since Mibu is pretty gud for grinding Sen and Skillpoints.
That you can just spam dodge to not killed
Which isnt really true for most enemies
fun game but im glad i pirated it instead of spending £50
is that an item or esoteric text or something i need to find?
just beat bull.
i remember using the grappling hook in the cavalryman and chained ogre battle but getting a little pissed because i wasn't able to do a counterattack or anything out of it. but ti sounds like this is some skill?
>Get to castle
>Like 10 different paths
>Follow one back to starting area when spear motherfucker kicks my shit in
>Decide to go down into the dungeon and get my shit kicked in by some spirit zombie
>Decide to fly around the castle and get to the roof with all these crazy kite motherfuckers
God damn, everything is so hard all of a sudden, I don't even know where to go.
>this decade was all bullshit until the last year
What did the industry mean by this?
Buy a Switch.
its a skill you can get very early on in the skill tree, i think it was only like 1 skill point.
it just lets you do an attack mid-grapple
Help please. I can't get any blood samples.
The merchant anayama is perfectly fine in my game and the old lady is dead.
I got a blood sample from the son, then I went and healed the dragonrot and went back to them later and they were dead even though I had no dragonrot. I think they just die eventually no matter what.
I forgot to mention. The son of the old lady was dead too when I returned to her.
I guess I'll have to wait for the merchant guy to get sick.
>there's more sjws than ever in the video game industry
>games keep getting better
Gamergate utterly and totally cucked and btfo'ed?
lmao shitter. get the firecracker prosthetic.
beat that bitch today feels good. Then literally first tried the boar.
Git gud Yea Forums
>Beat Cavalryman
>Go back from the gate, meet a Tengu dude
>Tells me to kill some rats around the castle
>He means the stumpy fucks in those big hats which they use as a shield
>lol axe
>Go back to him and get given a new skill tree
>And the prayer beads at the top of that room
Holy fuck, this game. I wonder what else I missed? Also how to deal with burning bull? I have the firecrackers but they don't seem to do much aside from stagger it for a bit.
>went to sniper land
>no idea how to deal with all these motherfuckers across the bridge
I'll figure this shit out tomorrow.
I just held down sprint like a shitter.
This, you can abuse this a lot considering the game doesn't have a stamina bar. Also you don't have to lock on to him.
This game is really sorting out the wheat from the chaff. Seems like no matter where I go there's people with similar complaints. I've seen people have trouble with the fucking Axe soldiers because their armor is slightly thicker so wailing on them with R1 doesn't work as well.
Like, did they just miss one of the basic hold R1 to thrust?
i found him rather easy (without hook attack)
the fucking mini bosses are x10 harder
Is snake eye's grab the most busted hit box in the game?
They died in my game too but it was after i defeated lady butterfly, so maybe its that. Also their corpses are together so i guess thats how the quest it goes.
He's honestly much easier in phase 2, at least I thought so.
>Weird, but easy to parry sword attacks
>If you parry enough, it goes into a really slow overhead stab into the ground
>If you parry THAT (which is easy because of how slow it is) you stun it guaranteed for free heavy hits
>Run away when it raises the head and the little particle effects start-up
>Jump the sweep, don't both trying to do the jump-kick or get hits in during the sweeps
Need help to figure out which boss is the easiest I can do atm
>Snake Eyes at Sunken Valley
>Snake Eyes at Depths
>Boss at the top of the castle
>The spear samurai where you find the Lord at the beginning
>Headless
>The shaman guy in the Dungeon
go the the part where he appears, the bull have problems moving in circles and since that area is smaller u can get around him easily, hit him and keep going in circles around him, U can use the firecracker to extend ur dmg, combo, posture dmg, etc.
I still can't beat that spear motherfucker
Just getting up to the crazy kite assholes was really fun though, I love the grappling hook
Of those, probably the Boss at the top of the castle, honestly.
Once you get familiar with the combat system/parries and all that, he's actually pretty easy. Just parry, get some pokes in, parry, maybe some firecrackers, etc.
Be prepared for it being a two phase fight, but the 2nd phase has a free "70% Posture Damage" on the boss if you counter his lightning.
I did:
Spear guy
Shaman
Genchiro
Snake eyes in the valley then depths
Too pussy to fight headless still kek
>Chad beats bosses by having house parties and pouring beer on his console/pc
Next level.
I did spear samurai, then snake eyes at sunken and then boss at the top of the castle
Make sure you're getting that free 1 pip stealth death blow in, and if you really need to cheese the guy, use firecrackers, into a charged double Ashida combat art, and repeat, with a few mikiri counters for fun times.
I cant even kill the chained ogre shistain.
WTF DO I DO
Jesús christo this game is bad. Boring piece of shit. Though can’t expect much from a fucking weeb country.
I can get the free stealth death blow in, but he hits so fucking hard it's disheartening when I get anywhere and he rips me into pieces in one or two shots
Get the flame vent from the hirata estate
>a fucking weeb country
Most retarded thing I've heard this year. I'm saving it for shitposting purposes. Thanks, user.
>fighting Genichiro
WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT SKILL CHECK GARBAGE
FUCKING 10000000000 POSTURE AND UNBLOCKABLES OUT THE ASS
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
How do you beat isshin second phase shits retarded
use the mikiri. Wait for red charged attack, mikiri, and repeat till the deathblow.
Is Lady Butterfly a 2 or 3 phase boss? I got most of the way through phase 2 so I'm actually feeling pretty confident. It feels more like the Souls bosses I'm used to playing
Beat him not to long ago. Not sure about other anons but I just was hyper aggressive and he died fairly easily.
Just 2 phases
Oh cool, I'm putting a decent fight and not feeling hopeless or wanting to kill myself!
Yesterday I feel like I could parry everything just fine. Today it's like the game automatically adds an extra slash to Wolf making me unable to block. Fucking piss.
Use the Mikiri, user
You’re welcome, weeb.
I can guarantee the vast majority of people who dislike Sekiro and who shitpost calling it bad couldn't make it past the first miniboss.
I really didn't like the game much at first either, but now I've downed the first two bosses and several minibosses and I am having a blast. It feels much more like the first Dark Souls than any of the other games to me - I have that feeling again of just exploring, finding shit, unlocking shortcuts, and learning how to fight properly.
I didn't like the lack of armor/weapons initially but the prosthetics and upgrades really do make a pretty good substitute.
That's the key to Genichiro. Just stay on his ass. This isn't Souls where you need to back off. He punishes you for it.
didn't have an issue with Gyoubu but this guy is kicking my ass. Worse than LB
I try to on his jump down slash into thrust, but I miss the timing every time and it lets him recover posture
Where do I go after Genchiro? The kid tells me to follow the smoke signals and all they do is lead me to a room I've already cleared out
its in the skill tree for the prosthetic arm if you haven't unlocked that skill book you need yo go to the hiragana estate and find the axe and the flame canon accessory then the sculptor will give it to you.
I'm pretty sure it's in the katakana plantation, user
There's no better feeling than poking around what you thought was a dead end, only for it to turn into a path that leads to an entirely new zone
The smoke will lead you to Isshin's room, where he'll tell you where to find something things to find. (He's on the top floor of one of the connected rooms across a roof-walkway)
You'll then go back to the kid and he'll mention some other places to look too.
Not him but I love you
Fuck weebs.
He's got a great finisher.
It's no harder than Soulsborne.
I'm sure I was stuck on Dancer longer than on anything in Sekiro.
Rest after talking to the kid
Just started now and got my first seed from that General dude. Now I can also counter the "dangerous" moves and everything is a cakewalk. Should I continue on that path or turn back and see what that bell thing from the old lady is all about?
Just keep attacking his dead body after 1st phase you can break his posture this way and 1hko him.
I killed Lady Butterfly
Aight, I mikiri'd him a couple times, but it doesn't seem to do anything. He'll do the foot stomp against the spear, but the dude just sorta wags his spear and pushes Wolf off. There's no opportunity for damaging him with it or anything, unless I'm being retarded and missing something obvious
It does some posture damage, but waiting for him to do it again always takes too long and his posture recharges
How is this game? I wasn't interested in it at first because bloodborne and ds3 were huge dissappointments for me and I haven't cared about samurai themes since elementary school.
I saw some footage of it tho and it definietly looked interesting and I'm always up for a challenge, so would you say it is comparable to ds3/bloodborne or can I happily go in without comparing to these games?
Try the mikiri, then throw down a firecracker. If you have the Ashida combat art, do that. (The overhead strike, if you have the double version even better) that's some good damage/posture damage.
Ive played over 3000 hours of souls games and completed 3/5 of them on SL1 NG+7
Sekiro is without a doubt the hardest game FROM has made, but its difficulty is different. The difficulty usually comes from detecting and learning to use specific things to counter specific attacks, while also mixing in deflecting, attacking, skills, tools and items. Where as in Souls you could just go around R1 spamming almost everything, and backstab fishing the rest, this game almost requires you to use everything at your disposal - whether or not you have actually found the item or not.
Its incredibly rewarding when you get good but it does have some bullshit moments like barebones stealth, iffy hitboxes and what can feel like infinite stamina recovery on bosses.
Id say its worth a go. I didnt like the game much before the 3 hour mark
DEATH STRANDING
Sometimes after a Mikiri he will do a slash. Deflecting that is what will stun him.
So from my understanding you can't just rollspam untill the enemy stops attacking and then spam r1 yourself? I'll get it then
It's shilling, right? No one is actually having trouble with this, right? I literally cannot even comprehend how anyone would find a game this simple that lets you undo every mistake difficult, and nobody will give me a straight answer because they're too busy furthering some unknown agenda.
eh sounds boring.
ill pass.
Best place to farm skill points?
You need to get good. I wish I was joking, this game forces you to get good otherwise you will get fucked up. Genichiro isn't that bad honestly, he took me maybe 30 tries but I almost beat him on my 2nd. Be aggressive, learn his moves, deflect even after attacking him. Every enemy in this game is an interesting learning process. The only boss so far who has given me a ridiculous amount of ftrouble is butterfly, and jouzu, but I was still trying to dodge like souls when I fought jouzu.
congrats on literally being worse than dsp
DMC5 just came out. I'll just alternate playthoughs between that and Sekiro all year
You have to lower his health to slow his posture recharge, you can get a free attack in after mikiri basically every time, it's the same when you counter any of those specials - mikiri, charged r1, jump a sweep, hit r1, dodge a grab, charge r1. Get the stealth deathblow first too. He's super easy man, deflect a lot hut put some r1s in there and remember any of those specials is ALWAYS free damage.
No, the only enemy that works against is the base, base base base mooks, comparable to hollows in the undead burg. Everything else will either block, deflect or straight up poise through your spam. The game absolutely requires you to deflect, dodge and attack at each engagament
FEED ME SHINOBI BUTT
You guys get the deathblow healing skill? It's pretty fucking good
Read: Spam L1 occasionally between the R1 spam.
What am I supposed to do here
Don't get greedy
>spam
I wouldnt use that word. Blocking and perfect deflecting are very different
how the fuck can i kill the corrupted monk?
when i finish him he comes back with full health
There's literally nothing you can do against the bull. Can't parry because fire damage, can't dodge because hitboxes are too big.
>tfw fighting Iaido man
youtube.com
Well here's the straight answer, the game is hard. The minibosses are mostly really hard, butterfly and genichiro are hard, there are a fair few damn hard enemies like the twin lade guys at the temple. Hardest game ever? Probably not, but a hard game nonetheless, now stop acting like you've played the game.
Hide you mongoloid
But I want to cross
is that kratos?
idk what your problem is, just beat him on my first try earlier today with no gourds because i was unprepared and i just spammed dodge/jump
I can only get this far but if I grapple there the snake one shots me
I heard you need a ninjutsu to possess the monkey or something to get past that point.
The hitboxes are smaller than you think
Just practice on him and worry about dragonrot in a later playthrough
Did I do the right thing by granting his request? He seemed to want it so bad.
there's a decent sized window to move, start moving when he is facing away. There's a clear pattern to his moves
So I'm actually just wasting my time trying.
Fucking hell. I guess it's back to Kongo, to those dual blade fuckers.
He's always looking at the same direction. What the fuck are you talking about
nigga you can JUMP over him
the funny thing about secky is that unlike souls, where the answer to everything is just mash dodge, in this game there are maybe three different things you have to do against different types of enemies and people cannot comprehend it.
it's why they say "the game is just mash parry" and then "WHY THE FUCK CAN'T I PARRY THIS THING". they actually cannot comprehend the idea that the game doesn't have a single solution to every problem.
What's the kite for?
Where do I get rice for the lady?
You can jump, dash, block, deflect, and counter. You have lots of options which is great, but which ones actually work isn't clear, which leads to frustration. They took the rollspam complaint with DaS3 and went too far in the opposite direction. Rolling with less i-frames and less stamina recovery paired with this games deflect system would be great.
I just found Genichiro. I haven't strayed far at all, am I supposed to be here already or should I branch out to one of the other paths that happened after the Flaming Bull?
FIRECRACKER. Most bosses and enemies in this game have a weakness to a prosthetic.
Sprint around in a circle, jump when he charges, use firecracker to get hits in.
>fighting ninjas on castle roof
>it's looking bad, but if I can just get this last def-
>WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>the fucking kites
>死
>mfw
>a shield is also one of the best offensive tools
The horse dude has huge wind ups in his attacks
I bet you're missing the deflects so much because you're panicking, try to relax
I like the options, but unless you get a "perilous" kanji, it's hard to know what will work and what won't. Figuring what whether dodge/jump/block/deflect is the answer to each attack requires some trial and error.
This, genichiro is susceptible to hyper aggressiveness as he uses the same attack every time you r1 him, as well as his back steps and bow draws being susceptible to r1, butterfly is susceptible to shuriken, gyoubu and the bull to firecrackers, spear guys to mikiri etc.
I would say not true, thrust attacks are good to dodge, the rest are basically down to deflects and air attacks you throw shuriken. I think a very competent player with the mechanics needs no trial and error, just good deflects to get an idea of the moveset.
>heh, those worthless monkeys are nothing
>get to white 2kat monkeys
Hey... What do I actually get if I beat Lady butterfly?
Is she optional or something?
I had issues with him to. This is how you beat him.
Don't lock on and try your best to stay behind him. You don't allow him to chase you. You do the chase. And just slash him. Don't bother with parries. Just force your way by slicing his ass. I was trying to be fancy with parries and dodges too till i said " fuck this shit" and just played like souls
>not stepping on any and all thrust attacks
Does anyone have any idea of roughly how many times you can cure dragonrot?
How does one spirit away Lost Child aka big Man baby at the Senpou Temple entrance.
Attack boost and a new item from the guy that sells info.
I cured it around 6 times. Have 7 more dragonblood drops to cure if necessary.
Fuck headless, how do I kill him?
Do I need to wait some more?
I've already killed the horse guy for reference
Is there some trick to Grandmas second phase?
Like am I supposed to use the seeds? They don't seem to do anything.
Does anyone else have a controller problem where Wolf blocks too late or just attacks instead? Yesterday it was fine but today I find myself unable to parry at all.
One you know the enemy yeah, but when you aren't sure of their animations yet I don't take the risk.
Nah, you can buy kunai regardless, don't need to kill her.
You do get an additional resurrection though, later on.
So she's optional...
I beat the horse boss second try, was close on the first.
The mini boss before him took me unironically at least 20 with resetting so I am not dying.
I enjoy enemies dealing 90% of my health in one hit
She's the second easiest boss to drop an attack boost. Go beat Horseman then come back to her.
getting a damage boost isnt optional.....
With the Divine Abduction prosthetic.
The seeds completely dissapate the illusions dummie.
All souls games load up your last input while you're in animation, you can test this by doing a special attack and pressing attack near the end, you'll notice Sekiro attacking.
So, never mash, only press buttons a single time.
I don't even understand why this game has a healthbar. You might as well just have two pips, because if you get hit twice by any scrub enemy it's over.
Thanks, that's more than I was expecting
I did.
I've been stuck for hours.
Those big centipede dudes are complete jobbers once you learn their patterns. Wouldn't be surprised if they became common enemies later on.
Just the grey guys? Those aren't a problem really.
If they help with the magic missiles that's another thing.
The one attack that always gets me is the sweep - she does it very rarely and after 5 games I'm hardwired to always dodge and not jump.
Hardest boss so far for me certainly, horseman was pretty easy, ogre was a like a slower Bloodborne enemy.
HOW DO YOU GET ONTO THE PLATFORM ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE LAKE TO USE THE BELL SO YOU CAN KILL THE GREAT COLORED CARP
SOMEONE FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST TELL ME HOW TO GET UP THERE
Get two hits in, deflect her inevitable counter. Shuriken the second she gets off the ground.
That's what I did. Struggled, but I made it.
Glad I'm not the only one, the mini-bosses are MUCH more frustrating than the actual bosses (Except for the Corrupted Monk, personally).
Beat horse guy 2nd try, Guardian Ape took a few, but only lost to the 2nd phase twice before beating it the 3rd time.
I literally don't want to count how many deaths I had on the fucking Monk.
Hide behind the pillars to block the homing butterflies, other than that it's basically the same as phase 1, kill the projections if you need more shurikens
That ninja fucking torpedoing me on that rooftop was the coolest fucking thing I've seen in a game
Didn't use seeds. I just did the ol' sprint around in a circle until the ghosts vanished and the light beam barrage stopped.
>ogre
>boss
Oh sweet innocent child
So I got both the serpent fruits, not asking for spoilers, but will the game force me to use them or is there something optional i need to go do with them, if so point me the right way please
Any advice for the monk? This fight is absolute ass so far.
This is the conclusion I've come to.
I just cannot believe that there are people here that are so shit to the point where they have been stuck on Chained Ogre for hours.
It's not though, you just suck at the game.
Genichiro second phase is even easier because he has an extremely hugely telegraphed thrust to Mikiri, every lightning attack can be lightning reversed which lets you do huge damage on him. It's just the same fight but with more moves, but the moves are all super telegraphed ways to punish him.
Out of curiosity, should I be aiming to empty her vitality or posture. Do thrust attacks do fuck all to posture? Even when I'm hyper aggressive and her health has dropped a bit,I can't mac out the posture bar.
Is there a way to fight previous bosses again?
>beat chained ogre
>have to deal with yamauchi and his ten cocksuckers
Manage to stealth around and get him down to 1 pip and 1 guy
>die because I dodge incorrectly
It's all my fault but it sucks to be bad
>999 attempts on Madam butterly
>forced myself to restart the fight if I die before second phase
>end up killing her without dying and one gourd left
>Not even happy just confused
Who else knows this feel?
Some of the mooks later in the game have more complex movesets than DS2 bosses I swear to god
Yep hardest boss for me to, you just have to remember to jump on her. Can't blame the boss because you're hardwired and unable to adapt.
I'm not sure I have your problem, but the game does seem to drop inputs all the time for me. Fighting genichiro, I frequently noticed that I was holding down the block button, but then I realize wolf is just standing neutral, so I had to start like, double tapping the button to ensure that the input took.
Where do I put the Snap Seeds to become the snake's bride?
>Felt like I was doing pretty good, figuring out the Tengu bird-guys rhythm
>Walk along the roof, hear that yell
>My dumbass just stops dead in my tracks, trying to look around, confused
>Don't even see where he came from at first, just torpedo death
>tfw i beat her second try when i realized the dodge attack will stun lock her
feels fucking good
woah. which upgrade is that? very stylish.
So how do you get the other two endings? And what is considered the good the bad and the true ending?
Always posture.
Thrust attacks are there mainly to deal health damage. If you want to damage her Posture you should aim to deflect her and spam R1. Shurikens also do decent Posture damage when she starts flying.
same boat here, someone help us out
WHAT?!
What did you guys do with Kotaro?
Should I attempt to kill Lady Butterfly or Blazing Bull first?
Yeah, I had that happen a few times in the Bull arena or against the bow boss. Apparently if you immediately enter an area, or attack an enemy against geometry, the game sometimes has difficulty registering inputs. Initially I thought it had to do with poise but that wouldn't make any sense.
Yep only had to back off when she spawned her butterflies other than that it was a free win
>decide to restart the game because I feel like I've died way too much
>get to red eye ogre again
>ok im prepared this time
>he still gets me with the bullshit forward diving grab that has an infinite range hitbox
>don't die from the punch
>throws me clear off the edge of the map
>see the green triangle
>oh shit
>grapple back onto the stocks around his head and get a grapple attack in
Fuck yeah and fuck you ogre cunt.
Go aggressive.
Once I just went in and started attacking him the fight got a lot easier.
Phase 2 is all about patience. Patience and studying his moves.
ONLY ATTACK when he does the move where he dives forward. Run to his right, through his sword, get 2 or 3 hits in and run away. Don't attack during any of his other moves. Here's a movelist if it helps:
>4 diagonal stabs
>1 slash forward, 1 slash backward, 3 slashes forward
>2 slashes in front of him
>blood blast
>horizontal sweep
>big vertical jump
>dive
Only attack after his dive.
What do you mean the dodge attack stunlocks her?
Spam block and knock her off wires just like P1. When she spawns ghosts keep your distance and hide behind a pillar. DO NOT BLOCK the projectiles they spawn.
When was the last time we got a big budget game that was THIS hard? Bloodborne is arguably as hard, but only in the lower chalice dungeons, not the main game. It's incredibly rare a new game is so challenging that Yea Forums has a help thread up 24/7
>hear people on past few threads saying that O'rin is hard
>unwittingly encounters her
>beat her first try
i'm not sure if i'm good or some of you guys are just so unbearably bad
she's one of the fairest boss there is, it's kinda like lady butterfly's 1st phase, just parry her attacks it's not that hard, jeez
Dodge to the side instead
Cheers.
I think merchants restock them. The guy you save at Ashina Castle later moves to Dilapitated Temple and sells one every once in a while.
Play the game
dodge right or left, attack dodge again attack. it will always catch her in the start up of her next attack and stun her if you time it right
keep going until she dead
also i forgot to say that i forgot that divine confetti works on her, i didn't use it in the first phase
>beat the drunk on my 2nd attempt
>fat fuck is defenseless while drinking and has no ranged attacks
It's a shitty fight, if only because of how slowly the posture break fills for this ONE boss. It's pretty much all just parrying and getting used to the moveset.
When it does the quick sword swings in succesion, all from the same side, just parry them all, and then reposition to a better spot, trying to get hits in there isn't worth it.
On it's other combo strings, if you parry enough in succession, the boss will always throw out a thrust unblockable, which can be mikiri'd and get a few free hits.
Other than that, some possible cheese:
Snap Seeds will take chunks of the bosses health off, down to 50%. Once at 50, it will stop working, but you can build up the posture break easier.
And firecrackers, always useful in a pinch.
Well shit I've been doing it wrong
Nigga has only three moves. Do 3 hits and if he attacks with no red pop up, dodge away once. If there's a red pop up, dodge away twice and grapple. Rinse and repeat.
Yeah I don’t agree with everything from soft has done here but they get my respect for releasing a triple a title published by Activision that’s this hard and relentless
>get to that guy
>kill off his goons
>try to fight him
>hit him 50 times
>he hits me once and I die
why does everything deal so much damage aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
jump down on the left
Try sprinting, it's a simple trick and Ogres HATE IT
If I cure these dudes Dragonrot, do they stay healthy?
Or do I need to keep curing them because I am bad at this game?
play defensively, focus on your parry, his sweeping move, and his scream
for his scream, RUN TO HIS BACK OR SIDE, it has significantly shorter range
as always, don't get greedy
It's a skill
>nioh 2
>bloodstained ritual of the night
>code vein
>YS monstrum nox
is all i care this year so im full, didnt finished all the games i bought trough different steam sales from last year so these 4 are all im going to buy this year
Guess I was just dodging too early.
sent him to the hall of illusions like he wanted. not sure if he's clinically insane or just absurdly enlightened compared to sekiro.
anyone on pc using a 144hz display?
i can't change the refresh rate in-game and it's running at 60hz making the game look weird
In my experience, yes. It's line NCPs got a queue of who gets sick
Bull is way easier
Google for mods.
So does that NPC who helps you fight Juzou the Drunkfuck in the memory comback at any point if you keep him alive? Does it matter?
How the fuck am I supposed to fight the dual blades guys
They are fucking invincible
Does every blood sample I give to Emma = one Dragon Rot cure?
you will have to be more specific.
this game basically leaves you no room for error
you need to perfectly deflect everything while dodging and countering lightning fast attacks. If you keep fucking up the fight will take much longer creating even more room for mistakes
its like they made this shit just for the speedrunners or something
Yes they stay cured, or Yes they keep getting sick?
Trying to attack posture is so much harder though. I've only ever made it her second phase by being patient and choosing when to attack and emptying vitality. Attacking relentlessly often just put me at a disadvantage becuase her posture fills so fuck slow, and if you screw up and her health isn't low, she heals everything.
I got wrecked 20 times during the tutorial
The monks with dual scythes. There's a part with 3 of them.
Where's that Great Giant Carp everyone talking about located at?
Stealth.
They get sick if you die too much/die after ressing too much
The reward for doing the nice thing seems kind of meh, the persimmon?
There's two other places you can send him, but I don't know what the rewards are. I know you can send him to the thief/merchant from the flashback/Ashida gate-area, to expand his shop.
Or the weird doctor guy in the underground Abandoned Dungeon, but I have no clue what that nets you.
The ogre is absolutely retarded, I dodge and the track animation follows me like 180° just like usual From garbage kys
GIT GUD
behind the Castle
Felt the contrary here, beat cavalry man first try and took 3 to beat leady butterlfly.
Tip: You can sort of lock her if you slash, roll on your left, slash, roll on your left, etc.
Work on both health bars, just wait for the illusions to disappears before doing this in her second one
i literally overread that you can hold r1, i already beat juzo and the horse guy wtf
I nearly beat him on my first try, but when I was going up for the final deathblow, I started pressing triangle because of DMC5, and he recovered and killed me.
I screamed.
whoops this was meant for
But each one is looking to one side there. And they follow me FOREVER.
so I just got the memory of the cavalry man
can I relive the memory or its only used to increase attack power?
i died like 15 times to the fucking miniboss general after the second bonfire. had no idea you could sneak up behind him and stealth deathblow.
i was so embarrassed i quit and played another game for a while. i don't find dark souls or bloodborne to even be that hard except for a couple bosses.
There's only one casual filter in this game, and his name is Sword Saint.
Everything else is a little tough, but it's absolutely nothing compared to the horror awaiting you.
i went around them i think.
Hasn't happened in decades. I believe since Devil May Cry 3.
one sample cured 3 guys for me
but it was the first time so it might be scripted
But
You can give persimmon to the cute pillow girl.
And she'll love it! Oh how she loves it!
What an act of goodness.
>tfw rager
>bitch and scream at videogames even when I'm winning
>have been playing DMC5 for a week
>beat Cavalryfag boss in Sekiro on first attempt
I am 100% perfectly fine defeating enemies that don't break the fucking laws of physics like the HUR FUCKING DUR I CAN CURVE MY ENTIRE BODY 35 DEGREES IN MID AIR TO DROP KICK YOU AFTER A DODGE
Shuriken when she jumps, then r1 her, r1 her when you deflect a kick, get her health down to about two thirds, then get deflecting boyo, still shuriken her and get her posture up. There's no way I could have beaten her by downing her vitality fully.
Best boss in the game though. Learning his move set was really satisfying
the taro persimmon is one of a kind and has quite the effect. i think ayayamas shop doesn't get much good from sending him there that you can't get elsewhere. and doujun is a fuckin creep who is trying to continue to propagate a form of immortality that has disastrous results. giving kotaro what he wanted just seemed like the best choice.
better beat him now. hes probably gonna get nerfed. the whole game will probably get tuned down in few months.
only used to increase attack power. honestly a bit of a missed opportunity i feel. i would love boss rematches.
I tried that. Apparently I can't mikiri for shit so I haven't even gotten him down to his second HP bar yet in 20+ tries.
>get her health down to about two thirds, then get deflecting boyo, still shuriken her and get her posture up. There's no way I could have beaten her by downing her vitality fully.
If it's already down 2 thirds, why not just empty it completely? She leaves herself wide open for a single attack after certain moves or if you knock her out of the air.
>hes probably gonna get nerfed
Will Miyazaki really budge? He seems fine with it being hard as shit in interviews.
That what I did but it feels unsatisfying.
is this reasonably playable with keyboard & mouse? Hate controllers, but the game looks sweet
>If it's already down 2 thirds, why not just empty it completely?
Her posture drains like water with her health being that low.
I cheese the fight because it's not worth my time tbqh, worst boss in all of From's games possibly
Honestly, this game is more about figuring out the proper way to fight bosses/enemies instead of actual skill. You can brute force it if you want to, but once you figure out what to do in each encounter it becomes monumentally easier.
Doujun is strange, I gave him black guy and eyes which just made him disappear from the game.
Things that make me wish the people who made this game get cancer: Enemies that can rotate their entire body by pivoting on their heels mid-step in order to turn 90 degrees or more even though there is no possible fucking way for the human body to do this and step forward at the same time so their feet slide across the ground in the most unnatural way you could possibly fucking imagine.
>Eating the persimmon
>Not giving it to best girl
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Does anyone actually know specifically what the "suppress presence" and "suppress sound" skills do?
If I unlock them, does it mean I can sprint as long as I'm outside of an enemy's line of sight?
Does it make death blows not alert other enemies?
lots of stuff got nerfed in dark souls when people were complaining about the difficulty.
loool I got him on my second try, killed the drunkard on my first try too
Only boss that I've had trouble with is that fucking bull
use the persimmon on the winning run against sword saint in his final phase. felt like the right thing to do.
No down to two thirds, not down BY to thirds. By the time she has two thirds of her health you'll be fucking her posture decently enough and still landing actual hits in to drain more vitality as the fight goes on. This game is a dance between damage and posture, attacking and deflecting.
No, it just means the detection range is lowered while sneaking.
They're both mandatory because NPC's have stupid bullshit detection ranges even in the dead of night. Executions alert everybody regardless
>boss
swim underwater in the abandoned dungeon to find the cage that bastard doujun puts his medical subjects in.
What's the deal with that boss in the Dungeon that throws spirits at you with perfect tracking?
Do you need confetti to smack them away or what?
I'm stuck. I reached the end of mt.kongo, got the buddha thing and now I don't know where to go.
How do I deal with that headless fat ghost faggot in a cave? I can't even fucking dodge
I just beat my first playthrough, this game might have the best sword combat in any videogame ever. I liked most of the bosses (Mini bosses not so much because of tedious add killing)
But I didn't have fun overall, it was challenging but not satisfying. beating this game is pretty much just to prove you aren't a shitter.
Making fun builds and fighting people made the dark souls games better than this.
Is there ever a reason you don't want to use your resurrection?
>Accidentally pressing L1 instead of R1 when you're trying to res
miniboss, mini like your dick faggot
anyone tried it?
>if im a noob
>everyone is a noob
>all these seething soulsfaggots who finally realized what a true hard game is like
Top fucking kek. I can't believe From actually made a game that 90% of normalfags won't be able to beat.
So there are total four of these fuckers.
Did you get to the top of Ashina Castle? Ring the bell at the end of Senpou if you did.
Divine Confetti and Pacifying Agent.
That enemy is 200% more annoying than any boss I have fought so far. I didn't even have as much trouble with the fucking Fire Bull.
I'm playing with keyboard no problem
NG+ has no resurrect
game with resurrect is about on par difficulty wise with the hardest parts of soulsborne if not a little more difficult
game without resurrect is significantly more difficult than any other game from has made
Any special attack that you have to dodge has to be timed properly.
Jump away from him, hit him after he teleports behind you, he can be hit a couple of times for free.
Does it have any use against bosses?
Hit, dodge away, hit dodge away.
I don't get how people struggled on this
You can even use fire on him and he just stands there and dies
There is no excuse for having dodged out of the way visibly 100% and the guy teleporting you into his grab. That shit wasn't even acceptable in DkS1 much less in a game like Sekiro in 2019
They wouldnt be so bad if you didnt have to clear out the entire area every single time. At least with bosses they lock you into a fog room
just jump back wards and circle around him until he does an attack that leaves him open for a few seconds
jump back and sideways every time you see the red mark on the screen
Why does Genichiro feel like Nameless King? Is this really early game?
>MMYYYYYYYYY NAMMMMEEEEEEE IS GYOBU MASATAKA ONIWA
mfw
So how do I increase my attack?
HOW DO I FUCKING BEAT O W L
JESUS FUCK
this didn't actually happen and every single example people record to show off "broken hitboxes" or "broken tracking" is the exact same thing: they dodge into the hands of the ogre with no iframes and the model for the ogre snaps to face where you connected with the hitbox
just jump you fucking moron. go up in the air. jump has iframes and positions you to punish the grab. dodge is more useful for closing distance on enemies than avoiding damage.
>breaking the code
you have only yourself to blame
restart and make the correct decision next time
It's a rythm game, find the rythm, do the right inputs
yes and terror resistance item
I can't even get passed the very first Chained Ogre :)
>this didn't actually happen
Yes it did, it has been in From games since forever.
What the hell was that
Did I just get a free attack up?
Fuck you Kuro is cute.
But the second phase completely fucks me up.
I'm at the water dragon boss and yeah, they really drank the difficulty fetishism kool aid way too hard. Game would be amazing if you had reasonable odds but noooo gotta bait normies with LE HARDESTEST GAME EVER GUISE xD bullshit
no, it didn't. every single one of you who has claimed this and "backed it up" has been revealed to be a shitter who ran into wide open hands and then puzzled about how they got grabbed. just get good.
there's legitimate instances of FromQuality grabs and bullshit in the game and you're nowhere near it. shinobi hunter infinite charge is a legitimately broken attack, ogre grab is not.
git gud.
run back when he does the poison and smoke thing to not get caught in the super fast slash.
You can deflect the slash if you're man enough
Any tips for Genichiro rematch? I. e. what combat skills and shinobi tools work well? I haven't had too much trouble with the game but Ashina Castle is a real step up between the roof ninjas and blue samurai.
Some progress notes:
>beat Horseman even without the grappling hook attack because he's super easy to deflect and had surprisingly low posture
>beat Juzou the Drunk by killing the minions on my own then calling in the samurai helper for Juzou alone
>able to shoot Lady Butterfly out of the air with shuriken and circled around her attacks
>haven't managed to beat the spearman or the swordsman in the well in Ashina Reservoir yet
>the game is hard.
No.
The minibosses are mostly really hard
Haha, no?
>butterfly and genichiro are hard
Hahaha, AHAHAHAHA, seriously?
>there are a fair few damn hard enemies like the twin lade guys at the temple
OK I get it. You almost had me there. Good one.
>holds hands out in a 180 arc
>dodge to the side without iframes instead of jumping or going backwards
>hands close in, get grabbed
omg wtf broken game :(
At the castle is the shield ability. Get that it's great and helps.
In what way does the Bell Demon actually make up the difficulty? I've had it on for a while now and just killed King Louie mk.2 and his royal wrangler and haven't really noticed anything different. The drop bonus is pretty sick though.
reddit spacing
Enemies do more damage
Ichimonji Double is so fucking broken holy shit. Just stunlocked Genichiro to death.
Kuro > Rice Girl > O'Rin > Emma > Lady Butterfly
Don't even try to prove me wrong waifufags.
The ultimate cheese is getting him stuck on the stairs.
Is there a way to get over the cliff by the bell to reach to buildings?
>teleporting you into his grab
this doesn't actually happen, grabs make the model of the enemy conform to your location instead of the DaS2 method you described (where the player is teleported instead)
have you actually played the game?
Use mirikiri, use firecrackers, get the grapple strike. Don't get far from him.
What's up with that Mibu Village guy drinking sake all day long? Is there any way to interact with him aside talking to him?
Are there any Japanese players here? What’s the default scheme there? Is jump on B or A? I always swapped roll to A in souls games but I don’t know if I should do the same here as we know have a jump button
Just finished the game, final boss took me 25 tries.
Ask me anything
No, the area you are seeing can be accessed by jumping to the left at the Ashina Castle Idle (where the old woman is praying). Follow it until you reach Mt. Kongou.
>get killed by a weeaboo nerd ayy lmao
how can I ever recover
Do you need to kill O'Rin or you can find the Lord that she speaks about somehow?
>so many god damn posts complaining about the first few mini bosses/bosses
>actually having any sort of trouble with the shinobi hunter and Dwayne "The Ogre" Johnson or even god damn Juzou
I fucking refuse to believe you people.
Genichiro I can understand or even the next fight at the top of the castle again. Those are actual pleb filters but I refuse to fucking believe that you tards aren't just joking when complaining about any of the early game bosses.
if anything, they did level design and the feel/look/sound of sword combat right
but I feel like the hp pools of mini/actual bosses are very inflated. and it gets a bit tedious when it's another episode of a miniboss in a room with 8 other mobs so you have to abuse the shitty stealth AI by going back after being spotted
do you get anything if you go back to them after that? haven't returned there yet
She's mandatory.
how do I beat the fuckin bull?
evading is not a problem but I cant fucking land any hits because he fuck out of my range
How do i find the rest of the places in the dungeon?
One way takes me back to the well, the other the monk temple
>hee hee hat
what the fuck
I still havent figured out the point of the dragonrot. Yeah if I die too much the unseen aid is lowered and I cant advance some npc storylines but do I get a bad ending if I die too often?
You can skip her by just hopping into the river though
No you can run past to monk.
fire crackers
Thats intentional, you are always supposed to kill enemies by breaking their posture, not by lowering their health to 0
>oh hey, i can now swim underwater
>time to hunt some carps hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
>AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Nein
I think this is a pretty dumb design decision, why get punished by starting over instead of using a cheap revive?
Basically you are forced to have your characters get sick if you die a lot.
the regular shinobi hunter enemies are harder than the miniboss due to that B U L L S H I T infinite spear thrust with tracking
>Headless underwater
What the fuck From?
It's fantastic against bosses
It’s fucking retarded. The ending you get if more than a few NPCs get infected is insultingly negative and makes you feel like you failed the whole game.
How do I kill that fucking Ape. I can't find time to attack he's so erratic.
This is the moment I got convinced this is a BB prequel
Well, okay but my question is more like. You have to kill her no matter what or you can find the one that she is searching for?
youll come across a boss by the name of snake eyes that completely fucks her up
This was my favorite zone in the game.
first time I got that sense of wonder the other games had so much of
Check the castle pond, you're going to have fun
>tfw finished the game but still missing 6 scales
I don't know what to do, I've checked every single body of water
>Play bad, get punished
>Use game mechanic, don't get punished
desu makes more sense than punishing reseurrects.
Why gimp an entire game mechanic?
>go back to get some rice
>find the girl sleeping
>she wakes up and gets flustered
HNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
couldnt I just in theory use a pure dragonblood and heal them all right before the end fight? also what happens if I eat one? the description was kinda vague
how about
>hey you wanna use a cheap revive to kill the boss?
>some people might get sick
PSA: you can avoid real death on bosses by quitting the game and reloading after a rez. You'll be put outside the arena and can homeward bone out
> cheap revive
If it is an intended mechanic it's not cheap, it's actually more like a healing item because bosses just always re-aggro
fistful of ash is the only thing you need to beat the game prove me wrong
>O'Rin
HOW
Does this game double down on the from software dark fantasy aspects later on or does it keep being mostly larger samurai enemies with the occasional large animal/ slightly weird monster in the mix? for context ive done lady butterfly and up to the bull on the main route
Yes and it happens
All Souls games had it and Sekiro is just a copypaste of DkS3 with altered gameplay as the instantly functional CE table proves because nothing is different
Holy fuck the demon of hate is insane.
>get the mortal blade
>decide to give mercy to the guy at the shrine
>R1 to kill
>Sekiro rips out a fucking centipede out of him and kills it
Excuse me
What
anyone on PS4? could you please post some boss trophy % completions?
Or you put some distance between you and use the idol.
You don't have to abuse the autosave system like a cheating retard.
Divine Confetti my guy
R1? No wonder I never got it to work. I just ended up dodging it.
Newfag
Wouldn't the game be more challenging if you couldn't rely on it just because you wanted the achievement?
can you actually dive in this game? theres a weird dead end tunnel just after the bull boss in the water
Nope but you can send her someone for a quest. Send the guy outside the well that appears at the reservation near where the game started. See him again later in the depths I think. Do not send hin to the abandoned dungeon. He'll appear later and give you a statue.
I got to the bell via mt Kongo
I'm stuck on the horse guy, and the drunk.
For the drunk I learned you CAN stealth hit him.
What you do is go to the left side through the building, kill the two guys there quick, then stealth kill the guy with the shield. Book it and hide til lthe aggro is gone, then carefully sneak around the right side and stealth kill lthe other shield guy. Now you can stealth the big asshole because everyone is facing outwards. Then I can quickly activate the NPC and have him fight the nooks and lure the fat guy out.
But I can't quite best him. He's pretty tough. If I can kill him hopefully I can then get the fourth pearl needed to the stat boost. (I got three so far)
Then I might be able to beat the horseman.
>Yes and it happens
nah it doesn't lol
not sure why you're arguing this when you could have just admitted that you said the wrong thing (it teleported me instead of he teleported to me) but if you're just going to double down on stuff we know to be false from playing the game im not gonna feed you more (You)s
good luck with the game, hope you get better at it
that never works outside of phase changes
I actually spent the first area of the game thinking I would get punished for reviving because it made sense.
>someone is coughing
yes you can
throw a shard at her back and stab her to skip phase 1
Beat the Drunk my first try, but it honestly felt pretty cheesy. I just ran around until he started drinking or vomiting, and went in for 2 hits.
It also would be more challenging if you did a no-hit run because you wanted the achievement.
Why the fuck do you need an incentive for that.
They want you to use the game mechanic. So they punished the other option.
Pretty straightforward.
Do bosses have two health bars as well, or only two posture bars? I'm just thinkingsince the bull is clearly meant to be killed by dealing damage and not posture damage, but his health pool is huge. Are you gonna have to go through two health bars as well?
I already cheesed him to death after I realized From's teleport grabs are still in but thx
so which action ACTUALLY triggers dragonrot? is it resurrecting, dying without resurrecting or dying after you have used your res? I guess resurrecting makes the most sense as it's a power at a cost but the game doesn't really tell you that
I just got myself together and beat the Ogre, the General and the Shinobi Hunter.
The bosses don't give that satisfaction feeling I had in BB when defeated.
Health refills once you take out a posture bar (or point, whatever). Some bosses have 3 bars
When I started the game Spirit emblems were only 10 gold each, im pretty far in and just noticed they are 20 gold each now. What causes the increase? Is it just plot progression.
Done it multiple times, you have to get lucky though.
Still not an excuse to Alt F4 because you suck.
I get that, I'm just saying it's dumb.
It's like my opinion man
What does the statue do?
I fucked his questline and sent him to die
The game does tell you, and it's dying with teleporting back to an idol. Doesn't matter if resurrected or not.
>Yes and it happens
Nope.
Yeah, eventually theyll cost 50 each
Which Ashina passive is the best between Ascending Carp and Descending carp?
Do you want permanently increased posture damage, or a bigger posture damage buff but only after you deflect?
why not both?
imagine dying more than once to the fucking ogre lmfao
>MY NAAAAAAAMEEE!
It actually isn't. It's just like hollowing, except it reduces your unseen aid chance instead of health.
I'm still stuck on him because I don't have the patience to kill all the dudes around him every time
both but which first depends on your playstyle, increased posture damage if you're good at perfect parries
Should I just drop all my money in them while they're 10 each or will there be other things costing money that will matter ?
I'm trying to save for the Kunai upgrade at the merchant, but 3000 is huge.
where do i go after beating genchiro ? they told me to look for a forest outside the castle but i dont see any
What the FUCK is up with this boss' posture bar?
true death causes it. Emma explains that normal resurrection costs energy of the dragon heritage that has its limits, represented by the black strike through upon using red in any one life. however, the fact that sekiro can respawn at the last idol on true death is unique and takes energy from those who are not oathbound to one of dragons heritage and causes their blood to stagnate and eventually death.
Buddha is a capitalist confirmed.
Sounds like you did.
>From dipping toes in udnerwater combat
There is a deep sea horror down the pipeline in the future. I'm not ready
Gaaichin Sugar aka Ring of Fog
Fucking nice. 1 bar is manageable
>it's dumb
Oh, you can have both? Great.
There's a guy that mentions gunpowder doing his horse in and I have the gunpowder but no means to use it currently.
I wonder what I'm missing.
Who thought turning the game into Ape Escape was a good idea?
Did the King Carp quest, gave the big fishe the masterful bait and then he appeared dead in Boddisatva Valley, gave the whiskers to the guy who was feeding it, is that the end? He's now dead and his wife is crying
Yes
>slightly different dialogue if you start attacking hi right away before he finishes his monologue
Pretty cool
use confetti and firecrackers to get him to 50% then his posture buildup is manageable.
Hey, keep thinking that. You don't really care anyway.
You need to buy firecrackers from the Memorial Mob near the Chained Ogre to make a prosthetic for that
yeah that does look a tad crazy on the regen. faster than sekiros. you should whittle down her vitality.
they should stop lying, ive been playing the game and its INCREDIBLY EASY wtf
>no divine confetti
Oh shit nigga what are you doing
I need a daytime mod, the night color palette is fucming boring
How did you arrive at that conclusion?
is there a place to get more?
I thought Snake Eyes first time was bullshit.
nope
beat him first try with flame vent
save corrupted due to power outage and new game took me one death cause i was still in flame shitter mode. started using my jumps and dodges and got him down no problem. having a hard time understand all of the people bitching about the grab when the drop kick is the real casual filter with dat tracking and how it can hit you midair
fun miniboss- are there more? im at genchiro and havent seen any yet
Most of what was nerfed what more about the PvP balance
I think the only major nerf they did was just tone down the damage output of the angels of the Ringed City but almost everything else was untouched
I only have 1 left, didn't know you needed it to win
>he used divine confetti on corrupted monk
Samurais at Ashina Castle, vendors start selling it for nce you reach the final zone
Anyone try all the "heavy" attack skills you get? The one two overhead hit is actually so fucking good.
so are firecrackers and ash the most useful things in the game or not
>taking O'Rin down with Sakuza on the opposite side of the boulder gives you a Jinza's Jizo Statue
neat. RIP them both
this
I guess people die more out of frustration than to difficulty
mos def
spear is fun af too
post nerf angels are trash.
Had some hilarious invasions in there pre nerf
What's the effect?
This shit didnt happen when I fought him, and I didn't have to use confetti either. That almost looks like a bug.
And it's one of a few action games that actually managed to make underwater combat enjoyable given its simplicity and fantastic mobility you have.
>Update
talking about dark souls the first title. lots of enemies were toned down and the souls they drop was increased.
I CAN'T EVEN GET PAST THE FIRST "BOSS" AKA THE SAMURAI GUY AFTER THE DOGS. I HAVE FUCKING DIED SO MANY TIMES THE GODDAMN SCULPTOR AND DOCTOR LADY HAVE DRAGON ROT! THIS FUCKING SUCKS DICK
yeah the thrust upgrade for it is awesome
>tfw didn't find firecrackers until lategame
>completed the game in like ~7 hours
>hard died only against some random samurai general
>didn't know about the dodge button until 2 hours in
>go to Yea Forums
>everyone is complaining the game is too hard
Fucking how?
Also disappointed that you get only 3 ninjutsus (could've missed some, skipped a ton of shit), that are all variations of stab a nigga from behind and get some minor effect. Only mind control a corpse seemed sorta useful. Also shame about the Mortal Blade. Looked like a cool greatsword, but you can't really use it outside of like a two strike move which is super slow. The game really should've expanded it's ninjutsu game. I want to throw some fireballs at niggas and punch them with lightning cutters. Maybe the could've given you the option to use ninjutsus instead of the MGS arm when you beat Genichiro in the tutorial, but it seems like that was a bossfight that you're supposed to lose and you still get the hand cut off even if you lose.
AHEM
FUCK KITES
AND FUCK MONKEYS
where is lord sakuza anyway? i presume the shamisen chasing samurai is key to this interaction but i missed it my first time through.
Is this a good time to get Dark Souls 3?
Only played 1, 2 and Bloodborne.
How do I access demon of hatred? Is it too late if I'm at the final boss?
>Devil May Cry 3
>hard
Has anyone killed the fatty that's crying at the start of Mt Kongou? Gave him the white pinwheel, accepted his request to kill die and now he's sitting there telling me to kill him, but I fucking can't
And yes I already have the other sword
Any idea as to how to get there?
There are two paths you can go. One is to go left from Ashina Castle not-bonfire and to the dungeons, the other is to go to the area behind the castle.
I FUCKING GOT HIM. THAT FUCKING GRAB WAS A JUMP BUT HES SO BIG I COULDNT TELL
get Demon's Souls if you can.
are you deflecting
practice on hanbei at the dilapidated temple to get your bearings
Go down the cave that had a fog gate and look to your left
I can agree, I hope the MH team sees the underwater movement in Sekiro so they can bring back underwater combat, except not total cancer
t. played the pussified HD version
Not him, but where the fuck are you going to use it if not on him? You get enough confetti to ice him and all the ghosts. Don't be a fag that doesn't use BFG to "save up for the hard boss" when in reality you never use it because of it.
whoah, you're so cool.
>didn't know about the dodge button for 2 hours
the madman
Yeah I was thinking of getting that too.
I'll wait for sekiro because it's full price now and maybe it'll get dlc.
DS3 though, the DLC should all be done right?
it was really fucking hard. why do you think they made 3.5 that fixed the difficulty?
you are supposed to use one of the prosthetic tools on him, the one that looks like a leaf
He's part of the true ending.
>The shortcut between Sunken Valley and Senpou Temple
MY DICK
blow him away
I deflect, I jump, but goddamn 2 hits and you're DEAD. He always breaks my poise first and then he kills me
Who was Robert?
Just another Jinza Statue, but with it you can carry 2 since it's of a different type, essentially an insurance for 2 backup revives.
That's him
Talk to the guy above the starting well, make sure he's not infected by Tuberculosis and he'll move to just behind of O'RIn's area
cheers
oh shit
Question, can you kill the first boss in the prologue part or is it a mandatory death
Shit, makes sense, thanks.
Have you found any use for the Red and white pinwheel?
Where is the Ashin Reservoir?
I just got a key to unlock some spear thing.
aaa i cant get my DS4 to work with this game what the fuck help me
I sent him to doc dogan, not sure what good it did
You can beat him, but it doesn't do anything.
I got used to much to rolling on spacebar that it seemed natural to jumpe out of shit, especially after two weeks of playing DMC5.
But then mybro told me that he saw that there was an actual dodge in the game, so I went to options and found it. Still wierd they decided to bind it to shift.
The healing increases you get from certain bosses, are they active all the time? Because I just got the 2nd one from the bull, but it doesn't feel like my Gourd heals for more.
i have a tip
if you stand still while blocking your posture depletes at a much faster rate than standing still
It changes the cut scene a little.
Who threw the shuriken though?
thank you man, i'll do just that
you can give it to the dumb monk
I thought maybe there was a secret ending like DMC5
Weeb intern on the dev team.
>who's robert
You can. It's not even hard. Still doesn't change shit.
Nice you really owned me
I heard you have to right click, properties on the game in steam and set it to "force input".
Tell me if it works.
That masked faggot.
Alright Yea Forums what do you want as DLC?
More deformed dragon stuff?
More shinobi hunters?
A zone with more monkeys?
Quit shilling that retarded thing, stiff triggers, sticky buttons and shitty analogues.
feels like cardboard in hand
should I be trying to kill genichiro or the butterfly lady? I kind of gave up on the butterfuly lady and discovered a path I never took which led me to genichiro, who I can get down to his lightning form but by that point im all out of heals and if i fuck up once I have to do it all over again. I cant tell if I should continue banging my head against a wall or go back to the butterfly bitch
there is an old woman in the bridge by the ashina castle idol. opposite her is a grappable tree. jump to it and explore that part of the castle.
Does anyone have the 'guess i'll die' image with the 死
Where's Inosuke anyway? Didn't encounter anyone of the sort and already killed both O'Rin and Monk
AAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
beat them first try
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Do I NEED to kill Snakeeyes in the swamp? I can't find any other place to go. I run past her, climbed a cliff and found an idol that leads to a dead end.
The worst part of fighting her there is how easily she spots you and how useless those trees are.
you can kill him but you get ganked and get your arm cut off anyway
>Dumb monk
Only monk I can think of is the one inside the four monkeys zone, are you sure?
Did you expect a high performance AAA game controller for the price of a few gallons of gas? It's fine and it works. Eat shit.
Yes. Head for the idol in the back and lure her into the poison water. Then you can just grapple the buddha hand and afk while the poison slowly kills her. Make sure you kill the 2 guys camping near the idol.
If you come back to that area again there should be a new boss waiting for you.
The reason it's so cheap is that it's fucking 20 years old
>realise the gorilla is still crawling
Not today you bastard
>Long-Arm Centipide
Now they are just pulling my legs with this one. If there's any more blatant case of "Learn to Parry already" it's this one.
>the poll actually poisons her
Well, next time I'll know. Fuck her and her sister.
it's the final nail in the coffin of dodge cheesers.
Try and find a position where she can't hit you so you can afk. It's probably a 5 min wait for her to die.
Because controllers have changed -so- much in 20 years.
Oh and you should do a stealth deathblow to her which is easy since you can just sneak up to her from that side.
I wanna get off Mr. Gorilla's wildride
Don’t forget Bannerlord is comming out in 2019
>tfw just got to the Kite
fuck these feathery niggas
nice bait
I'll remember that. She's actually not that hard once she's alone, the problem is her fucking mooks.
Now... this doesn't look good. Big open area...
Headless and those spirit warriors are not worth fucking with until near the end of the game when you have an infinite supply of cotton candy confetti.
Nice non-argument.
>Tfw just realized that the sword that backstabs you at lady butterfly is Owls
Oof
>Didn't give rice to the lady for hints
foolish shinobi
Does Lady Butterfly have three phases? I finally reached phase 2 and noticed that she didn't lose a posture bar.
I think I should grind for one of the Ashina skills that increase posture damage.
>it's nothing
uh... ok. Suspicious.
yeah but why does he do it. presumably he wants kuro like genichiro does but kuro still saves sekiro from death at the end of the memory. you would think if owl wanted kuro sekiro would've been left for dead for certain.
She didn't want the rice I had. Had no idea what kind of rice she wanted.
