Megaman Zero 1-3
Mother 3
Harvest Moon FOMT

Advance Wars 1 & 2
Golden Sun 1 & 2
All Castlevanias

all three fire emblems

Surprisingly few must plays for the GBA. However:

Metroid Fusion
Metroid Zero Mission
Legend of Zeld: The Minish Cap
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga

Attached: Summon_Night_-_Swordcraft_Story_Coverart.png (220x221, 123K)

Battle Network 2-3, 5-6

Mega Man Battle Network 1, 2, and 3 (the rest may be ignored)
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror

This looks interesting.

Anyone know how good the Final Fantasy Tactics game is?

Attached: 1534704638804.gif (500x500, 1.17M)

It's mediocre. At least compared to the PS1 FFT.

Complicated. It's pretty decent as a SRPG game, for the most part.. but it has some aspects that are bullshit (judges), and the plot is very hit or miss with some people hating it to death.

Both titles are good but I'd play them on an emulator if I were you, the first FFTAdvance is a bit slow.

Gunstar Super Heroes and that Astroboy game

>Megaman Zero 1-3
what's wrong with Zero 4?

Beyblade VForce

Drill Dozer

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon

i'm not a furry, but this rabbit is hot as fuck

Advance wars. Still the only game from gba I play today

Medabots

It's mediocre but pretty good for a handheld

These guys are all on point, also while not GBA, the DS follow-ups to some of those games are also worth looking into

Shining soul 1 and 2
Red/blue rescue team( not traditional Pokémon)
Golden suns
Final fantasy 4 (EU version for bug fixes and QoL adjustments)
Breath of Fire is alright
Chain of Memories was pretty good to i think.

mgba's the best gba emulator right?

>All Castlevanias

kirby and the amazing mirror is underrated

Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation
Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation 2

For your long ass text heavy solid srpg campaign needs.

Hope you're using the gba sp for maximum comfy

>Advanced

Seconding FOMT
Probably the GBA game I've returned to most over the last couple years

Attached: 61uzhWRBmYL._SX342_.jpg (342x342, 40K)

#1. Astro Boy: Omega Factor
#2. Ninja Five-O
#3. Double Dragon Advanced
#4. F-Zero Climax
#5. Dragon Ball Adventure

Gunstar Super Heroes is decent, but not as good as original.

Buu's fury is better imo.

Bet nobody played this gem before.

Attached: download.png (240x160, 7K)

Now name some that aren't boring ass beat-em-ups.

I did user.

Sonic Advance (all three)
F-Zero (both of them)

Do it again faggot

Wario Land 4
Metroid: Zero Mission
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Fire Emblem
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga

These are the absolute must plays. There are lots of other good suggestions in this thread

Attached: 250px-Wario_Land_4_Coverart.jpg (250x250, 26K)

>Astro Boy

Fuck, I gotta play this game. It looks a lot like Superstar Saga.

I played thr first one, and it was one of the worst games I had purchased up to that point. Is the better?

fire emblem

Black Matrix Zero translation when?

Attached: 0564 - Black Matrix Zero (J)_02.png (480x320, 333K)

IGNORE ALL OTHER ANSWERS
NOT COUNTING GB OR GBC GAMES
>Minish Cap
>Superstar Saga
>Metroid Zero Mission (maybe Fusion too)
>Aria of Sorrow
>FF Dawn of Souls
>Smashing Drive
>Mario Kart Super Circuit
>Wario Ware
>Advance Wars
I've heard Harvest Moon is good. There's plenty of other great titles but these are the "must see" titles for GBA. Ignore Fire Emblem.

I don't get the appeal of Golden Sun. I played a couple of hours and it doesn't seem distinct from any other jrpg out there.

The urbz

it's the most baby's first jrpg ever produced

it's like wondering why so many love halo

BOKTAI YOU FUCKS

While I had more fun with Buu's Fury, I felt the game difficulty wise had become piss easy as opposed to the second game which had a decent amount of challenge. my first playthrough It took me until the Buu fight in the hyperbolic time chamber to learn what stat points where, hooo boy was that game hard as fuck without it, every enemy one shot me, the final part of the game kinda sucked because I wrecked everything in one hit after dropping all my stats into str.

how do I make my game look like that?

Kuru Kuru Kururin!

>One Shot - The Mode
I wouldn't recommend anyone to play AstroBoy on hard on their first playthrough. That just zaps all the fun out of the game. Normal is challenging enough. He can try hard mode afterwards.

I played Astroboy and while I can see the quality, it felt tedious and boring. The story was nonsensical too, introducing characters every 5 minutes to the point I didn't know what the fuck was going on. Definitely worth a try though, didn't click for me but it might for you.

>Mega Man Battle Network 1, 2, and 3 (the rest may be ignored)
Well, you're not wrong, but it wouldn't hurt him to try 6

>gba
>must plays

literally nothing

Real talk this game

Seriously, I'm not kidding

Attached: 61mNNn2KJdL._AC_SL1500_.jpg (500x500, 66K)

I only played Battle Network 6. What's wrong with the ones after 3?

the best GBA would totally be the original if it actually had a lit screen from the start

god nintendo sucks

MOTHER FUCKING MARIO TENNIS: POWER TOUR, BEST UNEXPECTED STORY MODE

>start the game
>no mario characters whatsoever
>1 hour in
>don't give a fuck and just want to knock down the people ahead of me and make the character better

Attached: 1551582482234.jpg (500x276, 39K)

FFTA2>FFT>FFTA

What? Play through all of the BN games. For real. Each one is worth it.

This if you like xcom at all.

this, but the second one is better

I could never finish this game. I kept geting bored around the part where you go to the mountains north of town.

not like pokemon is worth playing in the first place

sauce on the emulator or what overlay is this?

is red rescue team better than blue rescue team?

Dragon Ball Advance Adventure it's one of the most fun games I'ver played

>opl3.com/retroarch/#tab-id-12
found the source

please give Lady Sia a try, she's underrated

Attached: 13382_front.jpg (640x640, 115K)

Just started it. Any tips?

It was completely expected after the sweet story mode in Mario Tennis on the GBC.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 177K)

>what's wrong with Zero 4?
Nothing. It's not as good as 2 or 3, but much better than 1. It wraps up the story really nicely, play it if you're going to play the Zero series.

gonna throw Mario Party Advance into this thread before the mods ban me for having bad taste

sonic advance 1
harry potter chamber of secrets, dont bother with sorc stone its forced stealth trash
mario and luigi superstar saga
super mario 2 and 3 ports
wario land 4 WHERE THE FUCK IS WL5 YOU CHINKS?
Im not sure if this is possible to emulate, but warioware twisted was the shit when I was a kid
klonoa empire of dreams. its a puzzle game so feel free to skip if its not your thing, the optional content is bad but core game is kino.
fantastic 4 flame on, not the other god forsaken one

reminder that there is a terrible jet set radio GBA game thats fun to laugh at for a few minutes
a good 30 second chuckle is worth the $0 if you ask me

Too lazy to read thread but Circle of the Moon is crucial.

This and Ham-Ham Heartbreak

They have somewhat recently gotten some emulators to take in extra input that acts as the motion censor for Twisted, I don't remember which ones but they're not hard to find

we're really close to a golden age of emulation

Lets not forget rainbow rescue.

Attached: hamtaro-rainbow-rescue.png (484x484, 687K)

Honestly one of the weaker titles, but still fun.
It's hard to beat Heartbreak though, it's such a great game.

Attached: 124555411241412.png (500x457, 208K)

Is the GBA truly the king of shovelware? It certainly has plenty of good games, by my God, there has got to bee 100 awful games for every good one.

Translation for the third one fucking when?!
Their code monkey disappeared forever ago and it seems like no one else knows how to do text insertion for them...

Goes to show how easy it was to develop games for it. We went from hardly any on the GBC to Wii levels of shovelware instantly.

Game was ahead of the time when it came to LGBT shit.

Attached: 54639405_p0.jpg (800x859, 450K)

Rhythm Tengoku is pretty good if you're a fan of Rhythm Heaven games.
I've never got around to playing it but for awhile people were always telling me to try out Yggdra Union.

kirby nightmare in dreamland

You are my eternal nigga.

We will never go back to this level of hype.

Drilldozer and hamtaro ham ham heartbreak

Yes its FAR better
Legacy of Goku 1 is known to be the worst

Advance Wars
Megaman Zero
Megaman EXE
Castlevania
Golden Sun
Metroid

The sims and that beyblade game

> the debiru companion is designed by the same guy who ended up designing all of disgaea

nah it's definitely the NDS

Anyone else excited for Delta?

Attached: 30D4CDA4-A547-473B-9E57-7804BF5DA88E.jpg (1280x720, 148K)

The GBA had its share of decent Zelda, Metroid, Mario and Castlevania games. But the highlight of the GBA was definitely the Tactics genre, which had amazing games like Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and Advance Wars.
