There are definite improvements over beta. Builders in particular are probably really happy with the direction the game went in. I'm not 100% happy though. There's just a lot of bloat in general. Blocks, items, mobs etc. They've added a bunch of mobs since Beta but half of them are either just reskins like Drowned or worthless additions like Endermites. An example of item bloat: in the next update, ink sacs are no longer considered dye. They created a new item, black dye, which you have to craft ink sacs into.

...Why? You're just taking away all functionality of the ink sac and giving it all to a new item which performs the exact same functions. Absolutely pointless addition, I know it's a small change but there are mountains of 'small changes' that are unnecessarily bloating Minecraft.

I just want beta generation with the new biomes and structures, terrain feels rather cookie cutter nowadays and it's honestly my biggest gripe with the game.

It's pretty bad in spawn as there's nine or so years of wreckage to render. I've never had that long a queue except after a couple of popular YouTube videos went up but I haven't visited the place in a few years now so maybe things are different now.

i dont get that i started my world on 1.7.3 beta went through a few different releases till realizing there was no point not playing on the newest snapshot sense it has the most stuff in it like litteraly the game plays exactly the same....
like i litteraly didnt notice any changes and i spent like probably at least 4 hours on beta 1.7.3

How far out of spawn did you get? Back when I was in server of course it was rough. That's as entire time I was playing I was being hunted and I was over a million blocks out from spawn.

Like 100k out through the nether highway, actually after getting 5k blocks from spawn it was pretty much empty, didnt run in to anyone. I made a base and last i checked its still there. By rough i mean the server ran bad and a beaner yoututber caused a beaner flood and the queue was huge

litteraly just dropped in the world without any like hand holding or tutoritals or whatever and u basically just figure stuff out and do whaterever u want and the game is basically enddless because theres no story or whatever and ur not forced to watch anything also all the mods and being able to change to any version from the first beta to latest snapshot so u can have different worlds with different modpacks on them
but like u can just be like i wana do x or whatever and then end up spending like hours on it without even realizing it and looking at it after u finally are doing every little fix to get it how u want is really nice

While I haven't really played much Minecraft, let alone hung about in 2b2t lately I think the constant push outward and into Nether and End has left the world sparse as everyone has gone into hiding to preserve their bases. I heard people building as far deep into the End as possible before they updated it to add cities. Some of the conflicts that occurred on server were excellent. To bad every time I was interested in playing I was never much involved in these little factional wars.

also the change of ink sac to black dye litteraly does nothing it takes one sac to make a dye
they probably changed it so that all the dyes are called the colour + dye rather than have a few items like Dandelion Yellow, rose red and whatever also it looks like its because there will be multiple items that make the dye like wither roses so it would be weird if u had a thing use either a wither rose or ink sac do the same thing when u can just convert them into dye it makes more sense maybe take a second to look into instead of throwing an autistic fit

Minecraft has barely developed since it's "official release" in 2011, it's just a lazy infiminer clone which is only made into a real game by mods and mod packs.
