Not since the sequel got an English translation

It sucks they never made any more Pokemon TCG games after this one though

Pokemon R/B/G/S/C all come out ahead of it. Definitely in the top 10 though it was a great game.

Water club leader was prime wife material.

Nintendo was afraid the games would stop sales of the cards.

Underrated game, there's the online TCG game, but it just isn't the same.

Think there was a DS game, but it was largely just a tutorial.

No.

What was the card?

Its amazing but I like Dragon Warrior Monster more

'A promotional Meowth card was included with the English release of the Game Boy Color game. The Japanese version of the game included the special Legendary Dragonite, only to be released in Japan. '
We got some shity payday meowth.

The sequel card art were fucking AWFUL. Like a kid with downs drew them in crayon.

the zapdos was king

how about this one?

wut?

IIRC, pokemon had set rotation but they don't really ban cards, unless that deck was way past it's prime.

>zapdos
>kills opponent without letting them move
damn right

I remember always running a water deck with mass gyarados and articunos and it was broken af in the game. I don't know if it was actually good but I always facerolled the game when I got it rolling.

IIRC Nidoking Toxic was OP as fuck

There was a sequel, what?

You could play anything as long as you got your bills/oaks. Carddraw is massively OP.

I remember that, it varied so badly.

>It sucks they never made any more Pokemon TCG games after this one though
They just want to focus on constantly updating the online client rather than having a standalone game which sucks because the standalone stuff was fun. They can even do it like the original games and release only certain sets considering they phase sets out after a while so you can always release new games after a couple of sets.

Japan only, we never got it in English until the translation patch came out fairly recently. It has Rocket cards and I think Safari cards.

Diggin' that EVA-core

Pretty much. I am looking forward to Dragon Ball Heroes on Switch, and hoping that the Yu Gi Oh game gets translated. Haven't played YGO in a billion years, but it really looks like fun, specially if it is anything like the old GBA games.

Greated BG Soundtrack of all time at the very least. Shit was GOAT: youtube.com/watch?v=YP4uFEmNQTw

Underrated game boy advance games tread?

Why would Nintendo care about that when they make more from the games anyway?

Based and Medapilled.

you seriously think cards have a lower profit margin than games?

Real underrated gem right here.

b-daman?I remember anime when I was younger

I wish there was some fucking documentation to the black box in the second game, you can use this to get all sorts of promo's or important trainer cards super early but each of them have different card requirements or just plain won't unlock until you do certain stuff

Attached: destroy computer.png (760x1099, 45K)

oh my god this was my deck in PTCG2

I used Dark Golbat instead of Mr. Mime for free retreat, fighting resistance, and damage counter sniping.

>no DCEs for T2 Clefable or T1 Clefairy bench swap stalling

The game is fun but it’s very frustrating at times. It’s really not at all skill based, more like 90% luck.

You’re either steam rolling your opponent because you got a good hand or you’re playing catch up the whole time because you didn’t and you get fucked by RNG coin toss, which always seems to favor the CPU. Looking at you multi hit moves.

dark raichu is the primary nigga in that deck, maybe you could drop the energy removals for DCE but you will be using Raichu on turn 2 anyway with promo pikachu

except for this fight in the Rokusho version which is literally impossible and to this day I cannot beat it

This is by far the best comedy RPG I've ever played

>THE LOSER IS THROWN IN A POOL OF ACID
>Villain falls in it
>I meant Carbonic Acid, this is my Soda swimming Pool.

>Why'd you kidnap my friends?
>I wanted to kidnap your girlfriend, but you're the main character so I have no idea which of these is the one you'd come save, I just brought them all!

I genuinely think Pokemon TCG2 is not only the best card game vidya out there and the best gameboy color game out there, but also the best pokemon game out there. Easily one of my top 15 favorite games, maybe top 10.

It certainly has the best overworld theme of all time.

vending machine cards had weird art yeah. kinda cool in a "what the fuck" way on the actual cards but I don't think it translated well to GBC for the most part.

Yes

>Cops trying to find a school where a bunch of kids are being false flagged as terrorists
>Masked dude puts the school sign upside down
>Cops read the words in the school's name in reverse and think it's the wrong place

It's just like my morning cartoons.

I'm pretty sure the Switch yugioh game is just Legacy of the Duelist with Links added

and I mean, LOTD was solid for what it is, but all you're getting is an extremely basic retelling of the various anime series through text boxes outside of the duels themselves. The duels themselves are really fun, but if you're up-to-date on yugioh you're probably better off just downloading YGOpro. If not though it's a pretty solid tutorial on what you've missed, I know it's the only reason I finally learned what the hell synchros, XYZs and Pendulums are. Still not fond of the latter though.

The sequel was a great game. I like that you were forced to use different decks types I felt sad when I completed the game because I knew it was the last pokemon tcg.

This along with yu gi oh and megaman battle network series hold special places in my heart.
